VCore of zero could be the ASIC is shorted and killing power, or the buck chip has a problem. If it starts up with almost no initial current it's more likely the buck chip, but if it pulls a spike of high current when first plugged in and then drops to near zero points to the ASIC.

As Sidehack says, either ASIC shorted or buck not starting up. Somewhat surprised that would cause the cp2102 to not come up, though. If you can, with it disconnected, check if the pot is okay and if the fet is showing a dead-short.

PM sent, but if you don't manage to fix it, very interested in paying you what it cost you Smiley

Cheers,

Allan.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. When i get some time ill get the multimeter out and take a look if i cant then i may well take allan up on his offer.

I would love to get my hands on the watercooled one but shipping to the UK would be astronomical  Sad

I have a dead green gekko sitting on my desk with the heatsink removed (so I could check for any signs of damage, which there were none). I bought it broken just so I could use the heatsink as a guide for a possible larger heatsink to encompass more gekkos but gave up on that idea.

The green light comes on but it doesn't get recognised in cgminer at all. Not even the "libusb_error_not_found" message. I get the following readings from it:-

Vcore- 0
1v8- 1.8v
0v9- 0.9v
Reset- 1.77v

I've checked all the resistors I can and all seem fine, only thing I can say is its probably the asic itself. Free to a good home (if you can cover shipping from the UK).

Or if anyone has any idea on what else could be causing trouble I could have a go at fixing it myself.
1544  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: is there a way to boost both fans ? (antminer S9) on: March 19, 2017, 08:33:16 PM
Thats exacty what I was going to suggest, just cut the 12v and Gnd lines and have them connected to a direct 12v feed so its full speed and the miner still sees the fan there and functions as it should.

Alarm bells ring that this is a hacked account when you see this:-

"Trust summary for CrackedLogic

This user's password was reset recently."

On your trust page. Anyone dealing woth this user should be very aware of this fact.

I change my password frequently due this account being compromised once before. I can sign a message or verify my 1Logic address if needed.

Fair enough, i dont like to jump the gun, just a warning for others. Hope you understand after the ongoing trouble with hacked accounts of late  Wink

1548  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTT+] have Gekkoscience 2PACs want Gekkoscience Compacs on: March 18, 2017, 03:49:26 PM
Yes there is a different version of cgminer written by vh which runs the 2pacs. The 2pac is a twin chip version of the original compac so runs twice as fast.

yes but that will run 1 pac  I do my 1 pac and my 2 pac on vh new software.

same program only 1 instance.

Bang on! i totally skim read that this morning and got the wrong jist of what he was asking.

Any info about to get some in Europe?

Bitshopper had no stock a few days ago and his website is down.

I'm looking for about 10 pieces, any option to get them from somewhere else?

MacEntyre hasnt had his delivery yet as far as im aware.  Website is probably down to add the info for the new stock.

Hey guys,

After the above transaction from trusted members only. You can see from my feedback ive done numerous transactions with paypal and know and appreciate the risks involved so please dont comment about it being reversible etc, i know.

Happy to use escrow at your expense and organisation. Personally i have never used escrow for these transactions and i have never had a problem (check my feedback).

All offers to be made here in the open so everything is transparent.

Thanks.

Actually they just got bought up, so I'm all out.

Oh well ill have to wait for MacEntyre to get his then.

black sticks in US are collection items, perhaps,...there are probably just around 20-25 of them altogether; only sidehack knows the exact numbers. In collecting, rare items (like prints with an imperfection) have more value...eventually. I've got a couple... and they work just fine  Tongue

Similar thing with the original green gekkos. I only managed to get one from the US when phillipma1957 sold some of his.

Dont forget that it may require some sort of load across a couple of pins for it to actually switch on.

Your rate is too high. Lower it and you may get some offers from trusted traders.

Seconds. Discounted. Buy one and complain if it fails or GTFO.

How much for a "seconds" bitshopper stick shipped to the UK? Coild it be shipped along with the BW stick from the auction?
