1588  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminers different hashrate on: January 25, 2017, 04:57:05 PM
I wiuldnt say it affects the failure rate. They have just grouped together chips that perform in a similar range. Some chips might perform better at high freqs and some lower but it is not a reflection on the quality of them. The failure rate would most likely be the same regardless of specified hashrate.
1589  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] BITFURY - NANOFURY - REDFURY - SHA256 BITCOIN USB MINERS on: January 24, 2017, 08:51:57 PM

1590  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: in theory? on: January 24, 2017, 07:01:42 PM
The hundreds of transactions you see are transaction id numbers or TXID. They are identifiers for that particular transaction. The transactions are included in each block. The block and txids are different as far as i know.
1591  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Antminer S9 Bitmain Bitcoin Miner FOR SALE!!! on: January 24, 2017, 06:03:23 PM
Youve come on to a bitcoin forum and stating earnings from a miner. Thats a bad move right there. Everyone here knows its down to a number of factors. You wont find a sale here.
1592  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: OMG I think Pulithey1986 scammed me!! on: January 24, 2017, 01:09:17 PM
Well the claimant has contacted me and called me "suspicious" because i had one deal a while ago with Pullithey1986. I dont think thats anyway to conduct investigations. I have politely asked him to stop messaging me and acxusing me of being suspicious as Im not.

1596  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Making server PSUs quieter on: January 23, 2017, 08:48:02 PM
Thanks for the pictures. Does look very similar.

Not sure there are an SP20's available cheaply enough for just a fan here in the UK.
1597  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Making server PSUs quieter on: January 23, 2017, 06:56:05 PM
Thats exactly what im teying to find out. Im hoping iust a splice into a larger fan wiring will be enough. But just waiting on parts to be delivered before i can start.
1598  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Making server PSUs quieter on: January 22, 2017, 11:35:25 PM
Sorry for the delay. No update as of yet. There was a hold up with the breakout board. Courier lost it at a depot or something.

A sort of update is I think I've found the name of the fan connector. Its a 4pin micro JST connector. From what I've seen there are different types with different pin pitches so taken a guess on a pair (male and female bare ended) just to see if they match up. If they do I can cut and join to a regular 4 pin connector and see what happens.

I'm hoping the fan is temp controlled as it says something about temp on the pcb when I opened it up.
1599  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Legit, New Avalon? on: January 22, 2017, 07:06:45 PM
Thats entirely upto you  Cheesy i wouldn't want you to break anything just for the sake of the pictures.
1600  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Legit, New Avalon? on: January 22, 2017, 06:21:53 PM
Have you got pictures of the different parts? Im still curious to what theyve done to run the fans slower but still acheive the same amount of cooling.
