Have you tried connecting just one GPU at a time?

Totally agree. Merry Christmas everyone. Now can Santa, Father Christmas, Saint Nicholas etc bring some lovely green blocks this weekend please.
1803  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Question about mining hardware on: December 24, 2016, 11:26:11 AM
Personally I've never looked into zcash. If it doesn't use an algorithm which someone has already produced an ASIC for then you'll have to use GPUs, which means you'd get more help in the altcoins section Wink
1804  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Question about mining hardware on: December 24, 2016, 10:14:15 AM
But you have to weigh up the cost of actually mining a different sha256 coin as most aren't worth mining as that aren't worth that much. But if you're not worried about profit and doing it as a hobby then go for it.

Ok no worries. I'm only a small time miner so the fee for consolidating was quite a bit. I'll just wait and see what happens. With all transactions waiting to be confirmed I doubt it will be soon. Just thought I'd ask if it was possible.

Is there anyway Kano could include a tx in the next block? I'm trying to consolidate some payouts and I've put a few on there but obviously too low.
1807  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I want to sell 1.245 btc for paypal on: December 23, 2016, 08:34:17 PM
Gt wanted a lower rate- so it's not completed

Well 15% is high. 5% at the current price and I pay all fees is being reasonable I think. He said he would be an hour but haven't heard from him so assuming he didn't want to trade. Never mind.
1808  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I want to sell 1.245 btc for paypal on: December 23, 2016, 05:47:41 PM
I can trade you for some of it if you wish. My only rule is you send first as you haven't much feedback or activity. Please read through my feedback for numerous exchanges with paypal. Infact its the only way I trade. Its all verified and ive had it for quite a few years so have no intention of jeopardising it for a few bucks.

If you wish to trade please PM me with your rate and we can get this done. Smiley
You accept escrow?

Escrow wont be any help in a paypal transaction. I have never used escrow for a paypal transaction and I think that speaks for itself, along with the feedback I have. Im not here to scam anyone, I simply want to trade my paypal for BTC. If youre unsure then we call it quits now and we don't trade. Im happy either way. Just trying to do business Smiley

1814  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: why Temp chip is not identical in all antminer s9 machines ? on: December 23, 2016, 03:28:31 PM
Different batch of chips, or different amount of thermal adhesive applied by a different worker in the factory. Could just be the fact that one is closer to a cooler air that's coming from somewhere

1816  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Finally got my 125 Th/s mining up , Whats the next step ? on: December 22, 2016, 10:19:06 PM
Entirely upto you. Solo mining would reap bigger rewards but who knows when that block would happen. Pools are always good. Decent returns (depending on pool) the smaller the pool the bigger each share of the block, but the less frequent they happen, bigger pools find more blocks but the shares are smaller. Basically it all evens out in the end. Its a marginal difference in earnings.

If I had your amount of hashpower id certainly try solo mining for a few weeks.

Well after checking options with the. 2 and 1/3 s9 old firm ware gear.

Upgrade to auto tune will make them too loud.

We moved them all from the solar loft and put them in buysolars basement for heating.

So we have to run fans at 50 % and set freq at 525.

Thus auto tune won't be viable for about 120 days.

It is pretty clear to me the old firm ware sucks at block finding.

Kane's stats show it.

And the guy that spent 325 btc solo mining  on nice hash with far better luck at .01 or 10 th settings.

(No s9s at that setting). Really indicate the old s9 firm ware sucks.

Soooooooo we will point the 27th at f2pool.

And keep the avalons pointed here.  13th

If your setup forces you to lower fans and not use auto tune I guess f2 pool should suffer. For it not kano

Why not just hack the cgi and unlock your fan setting?

Care to show us how?

1820  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: December 22, 2016, 04:40:30 PM
Tip to Bitmain re: Auto-tune.
How about giving us say 3 modes to run in? Say Standard for 'normal' operation, and 2 'Eco-Modes'. One to underclock with fast fans to handle high ambient temps and the 2nd to underclock with slow fans for low noise. All auto-tune has to do is use different criteria when it runs to find what works.

Should be simple for them to implement and would end most of the bitching about us being locked out of the settings.

How about just an option that autos the fans according to the temps but still give us the full range of freqs. At least then people can turn it up or down to suit electricity/ambient temp requirements and the fans work as little as necessary to avoid any excess noise.

But also Just an update to BMminer v2 would be nice as Biffa has said.
