1501  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Who likes pod miners? on: April 29, 2017, 09:36:22 AM
I cant answer for anyone else but being a quiet pod miner would always be beneficial for me. But im happy woth the noise range upto your modded S7LN.
1502  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [BETA] ckpool.org 0.5% fee SPLNS segwit mining pool on: April 27, 2017, 06:28:19 PM
Just an enquiry but has any else noticed more rejected shares compared to other pools. Im not complaining as its all still working fine. Just noticing a higher reject rate is all.
Admittedly, I have a "non-standard" setup and not much base for comparison, but....
The last 500TH rental I ran was for 14 hours and 45 minutes. During that time there were 3 pool restarts and my reject rate was 0.14%, which seems pretty good to me.

Its not a massive percentage just more than i used to get before switching. But if there are a few restarts then that would explain it.

1508  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] [UK] Old/Inefficient/Outdated BTC Miners. on: April 26, 2017, 06:25:25 PM
Looking at getting a variety of old miners. Working ones are preferable but if partly working thats fine aslong as the problem has been identified.

Im not buying everything thats offered, I will be selective. That being said, I would like a Cointerra IV (complete) if anyone has one they want to get rid of.

Escrow is necessary. Also this is a self moderated topic to stop sig spammers and pointless posts by account farmers.
1509  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Closing account on: April 26, 2017, 05:17:58 AM
Hello,
I'm no longer mining bitcoins and would like to close my account.
I'd like the remaining balance in my account sent to an external address.
I sent a message using the Contact button. Is that sufficient?

Thanks

You can withdraw your remaining balance (aslong as its abive thr minimum) yourself using the functikns on the website already. As for your account it doesnt store any security sensitive data so i wouldnt worry too much .

Can we change the diff of the hash submitted with the "--suggest-diff" at the end of our password?

Also my "derp" is 6.08e-6, will that show a complete proper number once I reach the dust threshold?

I have only just put my triplets (3x gekko compacs) over to the pool by the way so not expecting to reach a payout of any significant value  Cheesy
Yes

It should hopefully.

Welcome and good luck. If our first block is very lucky then you will reach a payout this block.

Nice one thanks CK  Grin
1511  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Bitminer speeds on client on: April 23, 2017, 09:18:52 PM
You should be asking in the relavent Pool thread in the "Pools" section of the forum.

Also mining with a PC/GPU has been dead for years. You need ASICs now. The latest and most efficient generation of which is the Antminer S9. OR Canaan Avalon 721.

If you want to learn about mining then pick up a Gekkoscience 2pac stick (Hardware Section of the forum) which will let you learn and you can overclock/underclock and adjust the core voltage to suit what you plug it into whether it be a standard usb port or a mains powered usb hub.

Please read through the numerous threads and sections of the forum before posting asking questions that have been covered numerous ties by many people. There is so much informtaionj already available, just be patient and take the time to look through it all.  Wink

It's a good thing I don't actually have a personal life.

That's why I didn't mention you. Knew you are busy with 2pacs and dev work of the pod  Wink

They are great boards. I wonder if finsky or optimizer have the resources to get some developed. I was trying to get one of J4bberwocks isb/molex passthrough boards but no one get can hold of him.
