So.........I just got my first lot of 20 L3++

It seems that everyone was right. The L3 "++" is just an overclocked L3+........literally no difference in efficiency.

Bamboozled again!

I resemble your pain....got 6 L3+'s about 6 weeks ago...thou....with the all the alt crypto I'm turning over to usd at least I can point to the IRS and say I'm a miner....see the pretty 6 L3+'s

I added to my hoard of miners for 2018!....god help me, I don't want the IRS to think I'm trading crypto...they really, really, hate those guys!

an't much, but 'self-delusion' is all I have left as I HODL.....(reality bites!) I should have someone start a pool for when I crack and sell it all.....ack!

brad

Calm down bro.........we hodled through it before, we'll hodl through it again!

yeah....but I 'suspect' that if I sold my hoard of btc and ltc and used it for 'dubious women/travel/jet setting (whatever that is) and parties' I have been told (I don't have a life) that this very well

may 'overcome' the 'angst' of BTC and ALT's price drop...ie make it 'irrelevant' because you are out....All your crypto is sold.  I have no way to confirm this 'theory' in that being 'boring' allowed me to HODL

thus no idea WTF  they are talking about as an "improvement' if I sell btc or alts....on the other hand I have been told that when talking to 'exotic dancers' about  your BTC hoard and Alts

they become 'very tech' savvy...who'd a thunk it? Wonder what the connection is to that tech ..yeah, I'll probably HODL, if there was a time to 'whine' this is it....

Fujicoin was listed in Indacoin
Recently Indacoin added FJC to their platform, where it is available for a purchase Fujicoin with Credit and Debit cards.

https://indacoin.com/

All very impressive...but can't someone make or find a mining calculator for this fujicoin...I mean as impressed as I am with exchanges...it seems like a no brainer

to swing a page to do this? I don't have the skills, but you'd think this would be a priority to get miners....and some hype/press....

Just did the calcs at $130 LTC for my data hall use....

43c per day after elec/rent on L3+

hardly, encouraging in that 'supposedly' these are the best a consumer can get (can't believe the prices Bitmain still wants....for these)

oh well, it was fun while it lasted......

(now do I hold my BTC and LTC and alts or do I panic sell like a 12-year-old child....decisions, decisions......)

What do you think about this LTC/USD technical analysis?

https://bestcrypto.tv/1358/litecoin-technical-analysis-ltc-usd-may-15-2018/

It's like any other TA. A hot mess of assumptions and possible outcomes that basically tells you nothing...

the catch with all crypto prices...is that if mt. gox trustee dumps say 400 million usd of BTC all assumptions are dorked....

why everyone is sitting on hands and all crypto looks muddied...even with relatively good news

where BTC goes LTC follows....uncertainty sucks!

2526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: May 17, 2018, 04:25:46 AM
Searing: Your reasoning sounds good, but to me, the markets looks suspicious. I wouldn't be surprised, if it went below $100, before it goes above $200.

Same goes for bitcoin. Whales are either loading up some coins before pump, or trying to sell as many coins as possible here [without pushing price down fast too early] before initiating massive dump. Im watching order books trying to figure out whats going on below surface, but i have no clue yet Cheesy
There is something fishy going on, whole price action of last couple of days is weird. Im curious what will be the outcome.

+many miners can mine with loss for some time, and keep the coins without selling them instantly. some can do it for months until price is favorable again-as they did in the past

It is either a massive 'setup' IMHO, to drive the price of crypto down ...BTC etc with FUD and the mt. gox scare of dumping..for cheap coin, for big institutional folk to get on board with cheap coin

after 'missing the boat' in previous years or....it is going to dump because of the mt. gox whale and his 'obvious' slamming of BTC down (taking other alts with it) by ALWAYS selling on an exchange

and on the low price side...I mean, it is almost like he was picked by Japanese Bankers...to oversee this and wants to trash BTC big time on the liguidation...to bolster his 'cred' when he goes back

to his 'regular job' in the banking industry (naw, they would not do that right?) FML

so it is a dump in price to set up a massive pump at 'cheap coin' prices etc

or

it is a dump in price because adoption can't keep up with the reality that mt. gox liguidation trustee has to move 1.9 billion in usd by the end of this year (trustee wants to get paid and the japanese

gov't probably wants this whole mt. gox over with...)

jeez, either option looks like crap on the above re-read

again

Latest prices for the 'supposed' top of the line scrypt-pow miner available to consumers, the Bitmain L3+ (they have a ++ but guys on here have a tiny overclock mod you can make your L3+ into an L3++ should
you choose)

Anyway at my current rates (data hall month to month controlled climate etc) a 500mh 800watt L3+ makes 68c a day...kinda hard to see how the network is gonna work, LTC wise, with the top of the line
scrypt-pow product available (if brave enough price wise) is only making 68c a day. The question becomes...what if the price dumps due to say a mt. gox btc dump...taking LTC along with it? or just the
fact that LTC difficulty is at a pretty constant 30% per month (this may change ...so far this month 15% for about 1/2 the month) or GASP Bitmain releases the 'supposed' 1.5gh 400 watt scrypt-pow miner
and mines them (as in the past) for 4 months or more...and only offer them as a pre-order available late fall 2018 say.....any 2 of the above would be frigging 'dire' indeed!

makes you ponder

here are the stats and calcs from www.litecoinpool.org/calc I used my month to month rates...feel free to use yours. Remember this is a free no cost pool that pays at 101% and the calculator
reflects this

24 hours   0.02437126 LTC   3.36 USD   2.69 USD   0.68 USD
7 days   0.17059880 LTC   23.54 USD   18.82 USD   4.73 USD
30 days   0.73113772 LTC   100.90 USD   80.64 USD   20.26 USD

Right now, we really need a price pump in LTC, but that will simply make more folk by miners...thus difficulty will likely counteract any gains in LTC mining  ...thus same loop of low price per mining

an L3+. If Bitmain does the usual and makes a new product (the supposed 1.5gh 400 watt miner for scrypt-pow) and does the usual and mines if for 4-5 months before release to consumers...well

LTC mining, HOME mining, outside of Bitmain data halls, run at their reduced costs, could be deader than dead with that combo of new equip (only available to bitmain data halls) and pre-order risks and of course a sideways price ..as we have seen... so ...we are back slipping quite a bit

anyway, mostly this post is for those who trade and HODL LTC as a heads up for what is going on ...us miners are well, and I mean well, aware of these facts

Who is selling, it looks like one entity based on the chart. It’s unusual that there is so much positive news being pumped out and the price continues to plummet.

I smell mt. gox...they have 1.9 billion in usd to move in BTC by the end of the year....this could get a lot worse....if they KEEP dumping on lows and on exchanges etc (idiots)

so I suspect that is what is going on

has anyone tried standard PC case fans. Does it work or is there not enough static pressure to cool the chips? Thanks

Sorry if this has already been answered but is anyone elses Antpool earnings stuck in "Paying" status? How long does it take to for Antpool to release the funds?

Yes. All Antpool payments seem to be stuck in "Paying" status.
I now have 3  stuck in "paying" since 5/9/2018

Someone mentioned earlier in this Thread that Bitmain had said the issue would be fixed today..

Still no payment from Antpool. Its been hanging in paying mode since 5/5 and its at the point they owe me quite a lot.
It sounds like others are still having the same issue as well. Lets hit up SM together if nothing happens in the next 2 days.

As for the fans, just unplug the front one. Temps and operation are fine. Running like that for 7+ days in a hot climate. Quiet as you can hope for.

On the bleachers...watching you guys on the field with these Bitmain B3's(I don't have any) but curious...you have any idea of what this coin is worth IF/WHEN you get a payout?

curious

(I could not pull the trigger the thought of Bitmain controlling the coin protocol, and the coin production via data halls and the A.I. reuse of ASIC's for this coin as a purpose

the evil was too brilliant for my mind to contemplate and I just froze..now in hindsight, you guys may do well...(with Bitman limiting units on THEIR OWN COIN....priceless

but toaster city on all other units of 50k a run...again classic

Bitmain, I got to admit they got them 'evil skills' down indeed

but anyway, hope you make a profit....again I could not do it, made me feel excited (but dirty) so I ran away...sitting on the hoard of alts and btc and watching my L3+'s from

last year, etc..mining 87c a day after electric...not a good place to be on pow scrypt ...assuming the L3+ is the 'top of the line in price/speed available now' unit in the world

So, in the bushes hiding due to the confusion....but your braver folk feel free to carry on on this B3 unit...me...er...skittish....to say the least! tan't buying zip for now!

The Gemini exchange, a creation of Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, has stated that it is supporting Litecoin (LTC), Zcash (ZEC), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH). The development is an aftermath of the approval given by the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS).

proof - ..the NYDFS has confirmed to Forbes that Gemini will also receive approvals for Bitcoin Cash, with a total market value of $25 billion and Litecoin..

As an aside, that won't happen...on the mention of Bitcoin Cash...IF and this is pretty much a philosophically impossible IF, Bitcoin Core (BTC) WAS to propose a block size increase

to say 32mb as a HARD FORK...that IMHO, would be all she wrote folks for Bitcoin Cash...would be having their cake and eating it too...

AGAIN, that will likely never happen, *unless needed for some catastrophic unplanned fork*...but I mean, from a thought experiment point of view having you block sized pumped

up to say 32mb and also have seg wit and lightning....would really toss a wrench into BCH. (then again odds are eth would surpass BTC and BCH before that ever happened)..

ah well....just a wild thought

SC1 is now making $2.3 and it’s not even out. Just Wow.

Yeah, doorstops....because their 'supposed' decentralized network for storage...is NOT gonna work to well with all them Bitmain toasters and the rest....more ASIC's then

the coin and their network plans, that can support price rise, IMHO...

oh well, live and learn, need to make about $4k to match me paying the IRS anyway (and my state taxes) and the 25% equipment deduction on my FIVE of these....probably

Not, do'able....so now what? Shoot for $2k before they become FULL BRICKS and call it a $2k loss instead (2017)for the fiasco? We will be the first to know I guess...

2534  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 12, 2018, 11:36:39 PM
They say sell in May and go away. I bought (quite a lot) and I am here to stay: always the sum I am not afraid to lose. We will see how this unfolds: still bullish
I panic-bought TFD at $8340 so I can sleep better this weekend. Not that it matters a year from now.

Are you suggesting that a year from now, BTC prices are going to be at such a level (higher than now) that the difference between buying at $8,340 and buying at $9,340 is not going to make a very BIG difference?

What kind of BTC price are you thinking?  Somewhere north of $20k?

I personally am thinking that if we get another exponential BTC price rise before a year from now, then there are decent chances that testing of BTC price support would stay above $20k, but surely nothing in BTClandia has any kind of certainty... and I suppose, even a decently played out bullish price movement scenario that pulls bitcoin into the $100k price territory within a year or so, would have decent potentialities of returning to test price support areas below $20k.

yep...I see it going sideways at best for till the end of the year...my view is that mt. gox has to wrap up the liquidation from the trustee's point of view (for them to get paid

and done with the liquidation) by the end of this year....is my guess ....thus 1.9 Billion BTC to USD in the next 8 months that 'pig' has to be digested by the Bitcoin Python

can it be done, don't know...but if it can be and the price goes sideways..that is my best case...at the way mt. gox trustee always panic sells on exchanges directly and kills his

own price point, by the mass of BTC he moves, and always selling on the low/drop in price (panic sells)...BTC IMHO could go as low as 3k IMHO...

NOW IF ...the mt. gox trustees sold outside of exchanges (most likely the folk would hold) and stated they are going to move so much coin in increments on a time frame

till the end of the year at best manner possible...then perhaps..it would not matter and the price could go up...but with the cluelessness or just plain spite these 'banker connected' lawyers

liquidating mt gox have taken...I sometimes wonder if they are not making  this a 'train wreck' just so when they go back to representing the Japanese banks they can show

they f*cked the BTC ecosystem as much as legally possible on this liquidation...

2535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: First Asic for SIA - Obelisk SC1 on: May 12, 2018, 11:09:06 PM
Need to change the thread title to Nebulous/Obelisk donations only and you get a doorstop in return. A t-shirt if you're lucky Wink

Well, on my 'dubious' 5 Sia Obelisk sc-1 units' I did get 5 1/2 coupons and did get for them ONE 2nd batch? (800 bucks after coupon) unit for free...

so I suppose there are others on here that may have done the same in some manner...but it is rather a drastic way to get a decred miner for my efforts...

Again, I expect a 2nd batch siacoin miner from Bitmain with less watts and a Bitmain decred miner before the obelisk units of any ASIC flavor ship

Being Bitmain and sensing weakness (no fork) they will go for the kill and, IMHO, try to acquire 90% of the sia unts on any sia decentralized storage feature

it is how they roll (bitmain that is) as to the decred miners..I've heard it is not much of a tweak to do this ..thus I'd expect those units before

the 2nd batch of sia coin obelisk 1st ship units...we will see....but posting my views on here...I think this likely.

anyway, looking like ASIC units of ANY FLAVOR are gonna be under water in a couple months anyway.....not looking good is an understatment..
But what if crypto prices will irncrease in prices? Won't the same situation happen as was last year, when ASIC miners were bringing good return.

This is true..but that is the classic problem on pre-orders of equipment....IF the price pumps...you have no need to get equipment..you can ride the crypto wave

without risk and hold coin...the only way you get equipment is IF you can get the equipment before everyone else (1st in line on 1st batch of new asic product)

or you say 'attic mine' some stuff out of the attic and sell it on ebay and maybe buy equipment that way...since Fall of 2017 it has made NO SENSE to pay for

equipment with crypto mined or hoarded....especially with BTC say going up 12x and such...so the choices with equip is

1) do better than roi or if you just got your crypto and held

2) break even on equip vs crypto used

3) lose crypto if no price pump

with places like bitmain selling their stuff in mass quantities (25k or above batches) and their prices (reflecting price) or if price really pumps (like summer of 2017)

they claim firmware update on your equip already owned and to be shipped (had invoice) and mine it for 6 weeks making LTC diff go up 30% ..then ship NOT with

'supposed' JUNE 2018 firmware upgrade but the same JANUARY 2018 firmware as the stuff gotten previously..and of course

4) the pre-order 3 months or more all equip ASIC makers due and watch the price of crypto paid go up 3x to 8x by the time you get it (2017)

no angle you can play that works in your favor

THE ONLY ANGLE YOU HAVE NOW IS IF THE PRICE PUMPS OF YOU CRYPTO OF CHOICE AND ASIC FLAVOR OF CHOICE DEVICE ARRIVING 3-6 MONTHS IN THE FUTURE

So, if you are NOW (these days 2018) counting on a price pump....that all can be changed on a whim (weekly price, amount of units, take away units to mine your

self, etc)

Again, no legit firm angle you can take ...too many variables as we are seeing on our 1-year obelisk sc1 units...

(ah, 2017 when I had so much cash flowing in monthly, I really needed the equip deduction of 5 units as a hedge....those were the days.....damn!)

Anyway, IMHO, 2018 keep the asic coin and hold (unless you can get a free decred miner for a mess of dubious obelisks sc-1 coupons (5 in my case)

less angst then getting equip, less risk, probably more coin in the long run.....again with bitmain being a monopoly and changing price weekly and amount of units

of even getting a unit (ie shipping them out like toasters) and pre-orders taking to long and also the possible price pump you MIGHT see in your choice of crypto

in the 3 months till you got your pre-order miners (making it 3x as expensive maybe on a crypto price pump of 3x)

No angle I can see anymore ...maybe used asic equipment..maybe masternodes or pos coins that stake like mining....no angles I feel safe with at this point in time.

2536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: May 12, 2018, 04:13:31 AM
Let's hope more money by fresh investors will be injecting into Litecoin's market. We are watching a small wave of correction for last few hours which will rearrange the markets positions for next rise. Litecoin's market is in awaiting mode to see some support from those profit takers who will choose unchanged markets for next ride.

I think not only litecoin there are many other potential coins facing the same situation in the market. See how NEO is also facing a lot of issues to survive its price, but for everything, it will take some to reach their previous value.
yes market is going down with all good coins
right now litecoin is little low but not that low
i think bull will again on the run and prices will again go high but its will take little time
neo is totally different from litecoin neo have more compitators but i think lite coin have very few

Finding that I'm losing faith, mt. gox has 1.9 billion in USD of BTC to move before the end of the year...assuming it goes more than 1 year since the debt was paid and now they

are just moving BTC to finish the liquidation...which they probably need to do before 2019 as trustees if they wish to get paid their fees....trustees will want to get paid ASAP...
..
they are doing this so badly, that we could be back to 60 buck LTC and 3k BTC ..they always panic sell at the low by selling on an exchange and shooting themselves in the foot

being appointed by banks, I wonder if they are just not doing this on purpose and shorting....seems awful stupid for getting the best price for BTC for the liquidation

so until that is resolved..it is gonna be a wild ride boys and girls for any crypto...

2537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: May 12, 2018, 04:05:23 AM
IMO. HODL and buy more lisk on the dip...whales are taking profit from the market before the next bull run and they will buy back in soon. Lisk dip 15% and BTC 7% days before consensus last year and you know what happen after.

my concern is that we will be sideways at best or lower until next spring of 2019......in that the mt. gox trustee....has 1.9 billion USD of BTC to dump..and he ALWAYS does so on an

exchange, in which he screws himself..by driving the price down on his sells...dumb.....being a bank lawyer I wonder if he is not doing this on orders from his masters...also IMHO, this

liquidation has been going on for more than 1 year..they want to get paid

as a trustee for mt. gox...they pretty much have to dump it all this year and wrap things up to get paid..it may be ugly, 1.9 billion of USD in BTC dumped till Jan 2019 say would be beyond

ugly.

Thus, LISK will probably be 2 bucks when I start to buy back up again...just saying, BTC and mt. gox is screwing over LISK and the Altcoins big time...I just can't see this ending well.

not if the mt. gox trustees want to get paid by 2019 that is...they got to sell it all..and they are doing it badly, on purpose or whatever...they always panic sell on the lows.....
2538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: First Asic for SIA - Obelisk SC1 on: May 12, 2018, 04:00:35 AM
Hey. Anyone have a ‘reputable’ obelisk sc1 calculator?

Links?

The ones I have tried are fantasyland 🤡

Edit: 800gh @ 500 Watts.

check the below one. I used it when Bitmain just started producing A3 for comparison, and it was quote good, as i remember.

http://sialytics.com/

sorry that calc is a bunch of whooee...IMHO...does do not take into account all the bitmain batches/toasters/etc, says I will ROI in 129 days..yeah right...

or from what I can tell...unless I'm supposed to delete the side batches and don't know how to run the beta version of such

as to the revised LOWER stats I called it that chip maker that obelisk uses..is a joke...they messed up 9 months of wafers for BFL Labs in 2013 and looks like they messed

up the last 2 runs of wafers for obelisk folk too boot....not to mention, like BFL under speck by about 1/3.....same old, same old...

I bet the PSU's IF we get them with these units are crap city..my bet is SUDDENLY we will be required to provide our own PSU's which is usually the case on ASIC

units offered with PSU from the get go...

ah well, the latest/best/or top end Bitmain L3+ pow-scrypt miner is making me 77c per day now after electric...so if the biggest supplier of ASIC's and their current the

last generation of that ASIC flavor mining LTC can't make it..it is hard to see how puny Obelisk is gonna pull a rabbit out of the hat for us....(without forking the bitmain

units...which is a no go)

Again, beyond dire for any type of mining IMHO...FML...

anyway, looking like ASIC units of ANY FLAVOR are gonna be under water in a couple months anyway.....not looking good is an understatment..

-21 cents per day on 4 machines. Let see what the next weeks bring, maybe I turn them off if the price drops further or diff keeps climbing like that.

And yes, I also believe we should face that L4 is real and hashing. I fully believe humanity is stupid in general, but I doubt we find that many idiots buying L3++ in the last couple of weeks, that we can rule out the existence of L4 and blame diff increase on them...

I'm at 77c profit per day on ONE L3+..after electric. Living the dream! FML. I think LTC difficulty went up last month 31%... see www.bitcoinwisdom.com the LTC table/chart area...so

what fun will we have for the month of June 2018, IF the price goes sideways and we take say a 30% hit at the other side of the face with difficulty.....dare I say then 52c per day an L3+?

Ah well, now maybe I should be preparing mentally to 'panic sell' some LTC (and BTC)? ...I suppose if I sell enough...and throw $$$ a the problem...

...that MAY get me over my 'funk' on the BTC and ALT prices dumping...I heard, conspicuous consumption will solve all your problems in the USA? Right?

Good thing we are not under any stre...stre....stress..because money means nothing to us..right? Iron Will and all that...(sorry, off to sob in a corner for a few...) Sad

when this coin is completely written off and sold it will probably pump like crazy

or if I sell, whenever I sell any coin, it pumps, I usually announce on bitcointalk I'm gonna sell some coin and everyone gives me merit and

thanks, me....it is a guaranteed pump....(hey it is a 'dubious gift')
