I like it much better than the 4,000 Boring as fuck. (just saying) Smiley

Blokforge is legit and they are an official Canaan hardware distributor.

You can find the list of official Canaan hardware distributors here:
https://canaan.io/official-distributors/

Ebang is another miner, that is still around, but likely not in the running either for price/vs difficulty to profit.

as usual, this may or may not be a legit site (just a quick google search) so do your research on how legit the company is and/or how legit the links on this thread!

1523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASIC Miner Hardware Still Available Any Flavor Crypto List May 2019 Onward! on: May 26, 2019, 01:14:33 AM

Canaan Avalon 921 20 TH/s 1800w. (This may also be restricted by lots, unsure).

https://blokforge.com/product/canaan-avalon-a9/?woocommerce_waitlist=5017&woocommerce_waitlist_action=join&woocommerce_waitlist_nonce=cc98b19533&wcwl_email=lostgonzo@gmail.com

This is a, unfortunately, the best deal I can see around. But there is a waiting list. (toss in your email)

But if in the USA you have to pay the 27.6% (25% tariff and 2.6% import fee, plus shipping)

20TH

1800 watts

$349 (outside the USA) without shipping

So USA price would be BEFORE shipping with the tariff $442.18

They have a WAITING LIST currently. But hey, best I can find so far of any note.

As always, make sure the distributor is legit, I've no idea, just tripped over their www page and the price vs performance was not as bad as most BTC miners lately. (new at least)

1524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: May 25, 2019, 12:43:58 AM

Does making a Sia-Tech Sia Coin Storage Setup make any sense to do yet? $$$ wise? Even with 'used' drives and equipment?

Supposedly that is the 3rd Leg of Siacoin. 1) miners 2) Siacoin HODL 3) storage payments for such boxes.

Doubt it is worth, building such a box, probably 'futile', but figured I'd ask if anyone has such a beast and is 'experimenting' even at a loss in $$$ vs Electric.

brad

its a buggy system that was effectively hacked by it's lead development team ...now they are dissolved so meh :\  *cheers bud*

So the 'so called' storage solution has no storage solution ...unless by chance you wish to use your data hall for such?

Is that the 'crux' of this?

sheesh

brad

Don't listen to anything gembitz says, he is a major trolll on these firms. Sia is making solid steady progress, but I would wait until demand picks up before trying to host.

It is discouraging I was told in Summer of 2018 that they had boxes ready to do so within months....but they got sidetracked making miners...not encouraged however...

that leg of the stool is way past due on getting fixed/looked at. Mining equipment and Siacoin generation are both way, way to far ahead of this for me to be comfortable

about siacoin I HODL lately. Just saying.

And if you include altcoins, then it means that this should be listed at the altcoins section.
Ja. Since this area is for BTC only, ANY coverage of altcoin gear will get the post deleted or moved to the altcoin area.

Not sure how to move this. I assume if it is such a moderator will move it to the altcoin miner area?

As to ASIC equipment, I made more than 1/2 of my BTC buy the use of altcoin miners. As an example, the KNC Titan miner lasted 3.5 years at a profit.

Just getting BTC miners alone gives you very little alternative when the difficulty goes up to a point of no return on BTC miners. Even when LTC went away

I had other scrypt-pow options. IMHO, it was very wise swapping my 2014 KNC Neptune BTC Miner for a KNC Titan Scrypt Miner instead. The KNC Neptune

miner was released so late and so behind in difficulty, it maybe the BTC KNC Neptune earned 1/4 of its purchase price back (after electric) than before it went defunct.

This was a lesson well learned by me and has worked very well with Bitmain and other miners of many flavors ....and/again 90% of such went into BTC w/o issue.

This is from 2014 till this last Feb 14th, 2019 when I shut the KNC Titan Miners off (mined scrypt-N (FJC) (Fujicoin)..the last hurrah.

They are now shelf art with the rest of my ASIC Miners of many flavors.

I'm off to look how to move this thread...sounds complicated...

our insider took screenshot off Jihan’s laptop TSMC 7 nm yields are catastrophic 47% Considering the wafer costs this is a financial disaster! Also TSMC capacity is limited and Bitmain allocated only 9,5k wafers for entire 2019. Compare that to 20k per month in 2017 😭

karma for Jihan?
also - bit risky for the insider? narrows down the suspects...
Wow, that's pretty serious, but I mean how legitimate could this really be?

Well, I may be wrong but was not TSMC also messed up on the first batch wafers back in the day with ButterFly Labs and Sia-Tech Obelisks recently and now this?

Seems to me TSMC have

a 'habit' (3 for 3) of messing up batch ones badly on wafers/chips and overpromising speed/results and are usually late as hell to boot.

Again, I could be wrong, but seems I've seen this song before. Feel free to correct me, this is just off the top of my head from 2013 onward.

As usual, the links below and/or the equipment makers may or may not be legit! Do your research on if the company or the links on this thread are legit! Be careful.

All links and companies are here for 'informational' reasons and a place to start on your miner research efforts for machines that make sense to mine (ASIC's of any flavor)

1529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / ASIC Miner Hardware Still Available Any Flavor Crypto List May 2019 Onward! on: May 24, 2019, 02:37:48 PM
This is a listing of ASIC equipment of various crypto flavors. sha-256,scrypt-pow,etc etc. That are still selling stuff, mostly as pre-order, as of May 24th, 2015.

Some (most) of this ASIC equipment at present difficulties in their various crypto formats, DO NOT, make sense in that manner or price wise, vs HODL'ing crypto IMHO.

But they are here for those who hopefully are in countries or regions with cheap electric and deep pockets...or hell just like the whirly fan noises and blinking LED's in your basement.

From what I can tell this is the ONLY thing available right now, as a pre-orders for July 2019. or beyond.

NOTE: Do your own research, AS FAR AS I CAN TELL, the links below are legit. But double/triple check. You have been warned.

Whatsminer Units

If you want to take a chance SOLO mining Lottery Style. This at least only uses 150 watts for such toys/games.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5071416.0

Baikal Miners (dubious pricing...too high IMHO)

https://www.baikalminer.com/index.php#page-top

That is all I have at 'dubious' prices and 'dubious' ROI. Bitmain, as usual, is 'sold out' but you can look. www.bitmain.com

Eastshore is a reseller for extra $$$ of ASIC products. So an added expense. But I dealt with them 2 years ago on a large order, they were legit then.

www.eastshore.xyz

Everybody else of any note, from Bitmain and the rest as far as I can tell are 'sold out' and/or you are better off just buying their product used.

This may be this way, for quite a while as mentioned in this thread.

Feel free to add to above.

As of 5/23/19.

brad

edit: Also DON'T FORGET the 25% USA Tariff on anything from China. Which is everything above but the Gekko R606 BTC Solo Lotto Miner.  That I think is made in the USA.

Also, the 2.6% Import Fee added to the above. then the amount, of course, for shipping to the USA. That really sucks, doesn't it? Sad

Canaan A10

https://blokforge.com/product/canaan-avalon-1041-31th-s-bitcoin-miner/

Thanks. Dubious ROI on that puppy as well, IMHO.

I broke down and bought a GekkoScience 1TH 100 watts BTC Solo Lotto Miner above. The ASIC addiction was too much. The 'fiends have it on

Amazon and I could use PayPal via AMEX credit card. Impulse buy it was.

Supposedly shipping in 2 days. FYI for anyone also caught in the grasp of ASIC miner withdrawal. It is a 'terrible' compulsion!

edit 2: Also tripped over this manufacuter unknown how legit they are OR how legit the site is. BE CAREFUL. Anyway, seems they have stuff...maybe also dubious ROI.

srongu miners

https://strongu.com.cn/Home/index?lang=en-us

again UNVERIFIED how legit these guys are. Just found the site.

Lastly, there is this site..that compares EVERYTHING for profit etc..but they RARELY look to see if the equipment is completely legit or on time.

For what it is worth, this is a timeline of stuff that is coming out and is the most complete site/graph for old stuff and new stuff I've found.

Again, some of these miner units are UNVERIFIED as being legit. So be careful

https://www.asicminervalue.com/

Again, do your own research on if this equipment makes sense to buy/use etc and/or if the companies involved are legit or not.

I will add to this listing as I trip over other ASIC equipment. (dubious or not for price/mining value)

Just got notified by Fed-Ex about 22 L3's that I bought long long ago.

The fun just never stops.

Has anyone been getting any of these from UPS or DHL? I've not heard of any. Seems to be all Fed Ex.

So is it simply Fed Ex who messed up and after the fact are getting this fixed, or is it just that UPS and DHL don't give a frack?

(Disclaimer: I've gotten none, but I got my stuff exclusively via UPS.)
1531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright, BTC USA Copy Rights/Patent Troll: What is his 'Endgame'? on: May 23, 2019, 06:59:47 PM
If by some chance, he is the last man standing from the 'supposed' Tulip Trust with Hal Finney and Dave Kleiman (who have passed away) then we are beyond royally screwed on

the 'supposed' date of Jan 1st, 2020. He will play the same game as he did with Bitcoin Cash. Sell BTC Core, as fast as possible to dump price and get $$$ and then push his

Bitcoin SV, driving the price, IMHO down for both around 2K total or less is my guess.

I think we can gather from his fraudulent behavior and utter lack of evidence for being Satoshi, that there is no tulip trust.

The narrative you just laid out is exactly the one he's trying to build. It'll convince gullible people to buy BSV for the inevitable flippening. Cheesy

I can see that he's trying to pump his altcoin, but I still have to think there's more to the story because it looks like he's building himself a world full of legal troubles. All these frivolous lawsuits really show contempt for the court systems; some judges don't take kindly to that.

Yeah, it just pisses me off...you are correct. But 'supposedly' if this all comes apart as a 'house of cards' it will happen on Jan 1st, 2020. We will see his excuses then.

But sh*t will hit the fan if he is the 'last man' standing from the 'supposed' Satoshi Group. What a sh*tstorm that would be. Sad

Odds in my view are him having access to the Tulip Fund is one out of 20 at best. Hopefully, this will all be just a 'scary' BTC story in Feb 2020.

1532  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: US Tariff Ruling N297495 = 2.6% mandatory tariff on bitcoin mining hardware on: May 23, 2019, 06:56:45 PM
Just received another order from DHL with only 2.6% fees again. I don't know how it's getting by customs or what Bitmain is classifying them as. There is no indication of the HS code on any of my paperwork or invoices. My previous order had a sticker on the box that said server, so maybe Bitmain is classifying them under 8471.50 again.

Good for you. Remember DHL, Fed Ex, UPS can come after you later for fees. I have a buddy with a data hall and FED EX are trolling back 2 years or so at the max I think. (so far).

It seems I hear MAINLY of Fed Ex being proactive on this. Have not heard of any from DHL nor UPS. (I got most of my stuff UPS back in the day...so whew).

It costs $75 my buddy told me to challenge EACH fee that Fed Ex says you owe. Win or Lose the effort. So far he has just paid. Anyway, how I've heard it shakes out from my end of the universe. (USA).

Naw. I had sense a while back. Today, I fell off the wagon and got back into my ASIC addiction with this purchase. No blinky LED's and Whirly Fan Noises in the basement. It was too unnatural to be without.

The ASIC withdrawal symptoms were terrible. Thus, cracked under the pressure and got one. I buy things on a whim on Amazon anyway, so as soon as he sold on Amazon with the link...I was doomed. Well Played, Well Played Indeed!

Well, the ASIC addiction I have is strong. Broke down and just bought a GekkoScience R606 off of the Amazon Link quoted in this thread from GekkoScience: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QVFCZ57.

Alas, it is a sickness. But at least I will have SOMETHING to run in my Basement with 'flashy LED's' etc. (I'm so lonely) Sad

So what the heck, waste some electric on Solo Mining, if for no other reason to have at least ONE ASIC miner still, trying to do something. Even if 'futile' SOLO BTC mining. At 100 watt light bulb use prices, I've done stupider stuff.

At least my timing is right. Says they will ship on 5/25/19. So my ASIC addiction 'timing' is right on. Smiley

But if Craig Wright is really Satoshi, and it was proven in the court that he is not Satoshi. Then hiding, and protecting his true identity through a social-engineering attack on himself was a stroke of genius?

I tested the deposit and withdrawal on Yobit for the first time in a while, but it ran successfully.  Smiley
We will list YoBit again as a Fujicoin exchange.

https://yobit.net/en/trade/FJC/BTC

Motty can you contact other exchanges, I will even see about some listings.  I really dont want to have to rely on yobit for the safety of exchange of Fuji  Undecided

YoBit's user support is the worst, but the usability of the exchange is not bad. Although it is not suitable for beginners, there is no problem for experienced users to use.

Ok I guess I might have to bite the bullet and sign up.  I am going to contact a couple exchanges first to see if they'd be interested in cryptopia's volume by listing all of cryptopia's coins.

altilly is aiming for the success of cryptopia. How about asking on SNS? altilly still seems to be less well known, but I feel the potential.
https://www.altilly.com/
discord: https://discord.gg/4XZKWUd
telegram: https://t.me/altilly

I will go check them out.  Anywhere but yobit is needed.  No way can that be the only exchange with their continual poor service.

Anyone want to buy 1 million or more FJC for 1 Satoshi FJC Price? As listed on eBay. (Doubt I'll ever get through the 11 million sells and no buys currently on yobit) Sad

curious to see

brad

edit:

FJC has shown $0 volume since May 7th 2019...it is now May 23rd, 2019....this does not bode well. This was on Yobit. Sad

1539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright recognised by US Govt as Satoshi, author of white paper on: May 22, 2019, 06:49:03 PM

I made a thread on what the heck is all this drama and eventual endgame he hopes to accomplish...I just don't get it. Sad

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5145827.0;topicseen

Anyway, for further consideration of the madness that is Craig Wright and his Satoshi obsession.

1540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright, BTC USA Copy Rights/Patent Troll: What is his 'Endgame'? on: May 22, 2019, 02:20:19 PM
I'm still wondering why he had to go through all this, and just do the easiest thing and this is my signing one of the addresses associated with Nakamoto address, or just login in here and interact with us, this will end everything and we will be hailing him as the real Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin, now everything is just a publicity stunt to hype his coin.

Even if he could not sign the private key and it was all 'development BTC was put into a 'tulip trust' because he was part of the 'supposed' Hal Finney and Dave Kleiman 'Satoshi Group', in

which they have both passed and he has 'supposed' access to on Jan 1st, 2020. The whole works...all those billions of $$$.

Why all the drama?

Does he expect if this is true that all the shenanigans he has done with copyright and patent accumulation if he can prove by his (supposed) access he has to

these billions of $$$ in BTC that all will be dandy?

Dave Klieman's brother is suing for 1/3 of a billion $$$ on that premise now, due to his actions of the past years, everyone in the Australian Tax Dept is after his ass,

he is a 'laughing stock' at this point in time...etc, etc...and most of the Crypto Community hates his ass, again I just don't get it???

UNLESS by access to this 'tulip trust' (supposedly) after all this copyrights and patents he can then take over BTC by dumping the price to $1,000 by selling massive

amounts and then using his copyrights and patents ...sell the blockchain of bitcoin SV at whatever value it has to the banks as he owns the intellectual property of

bitcoin SV, which would then be at say parity with BTC and BTC cash at say $1,000 due to him dumping all that tulip trust BTC in mass. Privatize the works?

If he can prove he is last man of the Satoshi Group...he can thus make the intellectual property that is open source, now closed source and turn it over to the banks?

Again, seems impossible to me and such...but again, as the thread states, I am completely befuddled on his 'endgame' even if it is all a scam...this duck just don't fly.

Lastly, if he is the last man standing from the Satoshi group and he does have access to this fund on Jan 1st, 2020,

why the hell would you do anything until Jan 1st, 2020? Why not stay anonymous and humble and deny, deny, deny like Hal Finney did, until full access to Tulip Fund?

He could have announced then with NO baggage/opinion by anyone...this would have made him more money by 'shutting up' in the tulip trust bonanza then he has made in the last

3 years with all his manipulation. Just the announcement at say $10k Bitcoin..that 'Satoshi is Found" would have pumped the price up by 1/3 at least, IMHO.

hen do whatever scam he is trying to do with intellectual property and copyrights after the fact you can prove you are last man standing

in the Satoshi Group. (If it exists). Thus having the 'standing' to prove you have access to the Tulip Fund as the 'last man standing' of the Satoshi Group.

If there is the 'real Satoshi' out there alive yet, IMHO, he would have cracked and shown himself at this point in time, just to shut up

FakeSatoshi that is, Craig Wright. Thus, my view now is the 'real' Satoshi has passed away also.

This is just massively depressing, but likely after watching this 'clusterf**k' and all this drama and angst of Craig Wright and his 'supposed wrongs' and ramblings.

Sheesh...

It is just screwy...the hoops you have to jump thru logically to figure this guy out is just plain odd....his 'evil genius' skills suck....his 'scamming skills' are in disarray and even if

he does have access to the 'Tulip Trust' he has pissed away any pump in price should that become known one day, indeed, it would probably tank whatever Bitcoin Price by 1/3

(of any flavor BTC cash, BTC SV or BTC Core). If he does have access to the Tulip Trust.

So again, his 'evil genius skills' suck under any scenario, fiction or factual.

Thus I remain befuddled and flabbergasted...

anyway end of rant
