3. Length of the train would be C. When it passed the pole, the whole train crossed it as well so it's just fine to ask for the length of the train and not necessarily the distance covered. Grin
You got a good point dude. Maybe I just get used to phrase like "distance covered" every time I solve math problems hahaha because that's what I usually see.
1. Option 'C'
As B is faster than A by 111.1/9
May I know how your solution? Because your answer is different from me and samputin. Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying that your answer is incorrect. I'm just curious on what approcah you used. Please enlighten me Smiley.
262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: September 13, 2020, 10:05:09 AM
If the Clippers will win, that will put Leonard in the history.
Yup! It also proves that he can really carry a team wherever he go. Though James has also the potential to do it, Kawhi is still more impressive for me. I'm always amazed every time I watch him playing dormant but ending up as a best player of the match Grin. A humble silent scoring machine indeed.

Will the celtics or the Heat would take that opportunity from the team who will advance in the NBA FINALS?
Nothing is impossible. You know, Heat was able to beat Bucks (and I feel bad about it lol). Celtics on the other hand are well balanced as well. We don't know what would be the final outcome but this conference is exciting for sure.
263  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Merit] Solve Aptitude Question on: September 13, 2020, 08:03:19 AM
This is cool! I love solving math however Algebra is my worst enemy Grin. But let me try.

1. I find this question a little it confusing at first because there's no time included on the problem so I assume they got the same speed. So my answer would be letter B.

2. By creating simple equations, the answer would be letter D.

3. Are you really sure the length of the train or do you mean distance covered? That would be letter C.

Anyway, I think this thread iis more appropriate in the Off Topic section instead here. Nevertheless, you got a good intention. What a nice set of exercise for our brain. I love it :.
264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Buy Bitcoin Cheaper on: September 13, 2020, 05:27:21 AM
If you want to buy bitcoin for a cheaper price you have to wait when it's value fluctuates. We all know that it is volatile so we cannot predict whether when it's value will be at it's lowest that's why many bitcoin users hoards their coins and wait for the right time in which they can sell their coins into bigger and better price.
Actually, that's what I usually do. You know, I find waiting for the price dips time consuming and risky because no one knows if the price really go down and do not rise instead. So to avoid missing opportunities, I hoard coins the moment I got money. I'm not bothered where would be my entry points because what matters the most is your exit points. You should make sure that you will hold persistently until you now able to make profits. As simple as that Smiley. But take note, I think this method is only appropriate for hodlers because daytrading acuires more precision and meticulous decisions.
265  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What advice will you give to a beginner trader? on: September 13, 2020, 01:55:48 AM
Trading is the good way to make money but it is so risky for new traders. I will suggest new traders to trade on demo account. More market analysis is needed for being a good trader.
They'll never find it hard or easy if they never have tried it. Of course, no one gets perfect at the very beginning, we all suffered the consequences that we afraid of but keeping these mistakes makes us learn and improve ourselves and strategies. Because if we feel about worries and doubts about ourselves, definitely we never have the courage to take the risk as well.
I agree. Once you're done studying the theories of trading then you had no choice but to do the next step which is actual application. That is where you will learn even more. Yeah! There is a high chance of making mistakes along the way but don't stop. Failure is a part of learning so be courageous Smiley. As long as you are following the "Buy low, Sell high" principle then everything is gonna be alright.

My advice for new or even those feeling new in daytrading, invest with bitcoin first. Don't suddenly jumped on defis or new sprouting tokens because they are more complicated to handle.
266  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which type of trading you think is good? on: September 12, 2020, 09:34:03 AM
In any case, you can always adjust your strategy, no matter how good it was.
Yeah right. You don't nees to do this or to do that. Find the way which you think the most comfortable for you. You know, if you're a busy person then most preferable for you is based on news but if you have plenty of time then TA would be better. But everything depends from person to person so don't stress yourself copying what others doing Smiley.

But if I really have to choose only one between them then I will go with TA all the way lol. They seems more reliable to me.
267  Economy / Economics / Re: PornHub now accepts Bitcoin and Litecoin (News coincides with BTC decline?) on: September 12, 2020, 05:37:42 AM

do people got turned off after hearing the coin will be supported on a porn site  .
I will not sugarcoat everything. For me, this news lies in neutral I guess. It has bad and good points. I find it disturbing in a sense that it is now used in porn industry. But if you will realize, bitcoin was used on dark web so many years ago and until now so why most of us feel triggered in this small adoption? Grin.

Now, if you asked me if I'm turned off then my answer is NO because an adoption is an adoption. We can't undervalue it just because it didn't meet our ideals. I guess all we need to do is to focus on the brighter side.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT TYPE OF CRYPTO INVESTOR ARE YOU? on: September 12, 2020, 02:14:00 AM
I am Hodler. Because I am not very good at trading and identifying new projects so I think the safest way is to be a Hodler. For Hodlers patience is the main thing, while waiting for me to make another earning from another fields, in the crypto world I am more inclined to bounties to find additional income.
Are we talking altcoins, right? Alts that are which are most of them can't sustain prices for a very long time. If that's the case then I think hodling i the bet thing you can do. You know, you might miss the boat anytime and can't sell on the best price thus lose profits sooner or later. The less you act, the more risk you are facing dude. But if your coins are the same as old as eth then maybe I can put a consideration since they are more stable. Nonetheless, learn daytrading because that's better Smiley.
269  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex will stop serving a number of countries. on: September 11, 2020, 12:35:08 PM
Ouch! That's a long list. For sure their trading volume will diminish significantly which means less profits for the company. We cannot consider this news as an advantage for their rivals either — it was a bad omen indeed. Maybe the rest will get banned too soon Sad *knock on the wood.

I wonder what sort of regulatory requirements forced them to stop operating in those countries.
There's a report on 2019 that they ban Venezuela and 30 countries from using their service but don't tell them why? Seems that Bittrex want the specific reason confidential. https://cointelegraph.com/news/bittrex-international-halts-service-in-venezuela-and-30-more-countries
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gold or Bitcoin on: September 10, 2020, 05:53:47 AM
No need to think where, invest with both as much as possible. Gold can make you look fancy while bitcoin can give you the feeling of living in 2030 lol. Forex trading is a little bit complicated, but on the other hand, crypto trading is more accesible even to a youngster. Therefore, it will be just a waste of our time and effort if we compare it to one another all day long Grin. They are good assets possessing their own pros and cons. That's it.

But if you are just a beginner then I advice you to try bitcoin first because you can easily buy small portions of it thus you will not get hurt too much because you lose small amount as well. Treat this as your training ground. Just my own opinion tho.
271  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Invest with due diligence and proceed with caution on: September 10, 2020, 03:06:27 AM
It's not an easy job to do their own due diligence, In fact, many people don't even know how to do their own due diligence, They just follow the crowd.

Well, I guess that's what investors (particularly the beginners) tend to do. They got the "Go with the flow" mindset because they feel safe on doing so. You know, thinking that the more investors of that project, the more legit it looks like. However, it is all wrong. Each one of us got their own strength and preferences so do not attempt to be like someone else. Maybe Person A is good with pumping and dumping but you are not because you are too emotional or more comfortable with slower pace. See? So guys, think twice or multiple times before jnvesting in these Defi projects especially that they have rapid growth and decline. Keep safe guys Smiley.

273  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 1,500 restaurants in France start accepting bitcoin payments through Just Eat!!! on: September 09, 2020, 10:29:19 AM

I agree but it’s better than nothing & a good step in the right direction. All new adoption is a positive & Rome wasn’t built in a day. It’s going to take years for absolute mainstream adoption but every little is good.
Indeed, let's take one step at a time. What really matters is that we are going one step closer to mass adoption Smiley. Improvements are to be followed.

I hope the some of the famous local online food and delivery service company here in our country, Grab Food and Food Panda, will get inspired from what Just Eat did. I'm sure many bitcoin enthusiasts here will be glad, not only because they can now buy food with their btc holding but mainly because of tech's great exposure in an unaware population.
274  Economy / Economics / Re: Can legalisation of Cannabis help US economy? on: September 09, 2020, 04:21:39 AM
if they legalize it, there's a strong possibility that many countries will do the same.
We don't yet know, but I'm sure in one thing, our country would take a longer period of time before we come that far. Our president really hates drugs Cheesy. Though already proven that marijuana can be used as an aid for curing different diseases, the government still show opposition against it. And I agree with such decision. Why? Because I'm not confident that no one will abuse it once implemented. It was a form of drug after all, it can cause addiction and ruin one's life. Maybe that's what our president is afraid of.

Dude, first of all, can you please remove the font color in your post because 1) it wasn't a website link 2) it was unnecessary. Try to read Bitcointalk Posting Etiquette (number 5 to be specific)

Going back to the topic, I am somehow allergic to alts but I think it's harsh to say that 99% of them are trash. There are cool alts with great value and applications as well such as ethereum, monero, dogeoin etc. Just try to look further  Maybe I would agree if you say that most of the new tokens are worthless Cheesy.
276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adoption because of difficulty faced by mankind on: September 08, 2020, 10:13:50 PM
This will only happen if we will see an adoption, but speaking of moon, it will always not happen because adoption means slowly but steady increase of bitcoin and that will make bitcoin less volatile as more people are adopting for the purpose of using it as a payment system than holding it as an investment. If whales are investing in bitcoin and less people are adopting for its usage, then we will continue to see a high volatility as manipulation will probably happen anytime, so my vision was really a total adoption where there's a lot of platform that would make it easier for people to spend their bitcoin just like fiat digital currency.
However, it's impossible to change the business mind of whales. They surely remain treating bitcoin more of as a store of value rather than a medium of exchange. They will remain taking advantage of the current volatile nature of btc until lasts long (like we all used to). So yeah! I think everything will be the same unless we got even more adoptions because that's the key to make the price of the coin less volatile and placed it on the mainstream at the same time Smiley.
277  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The best trading platform for beginners? on: September 08, 2020, 05:03:12 AM
What were the metrics you used in rating all these exchanges that you tested?
My gut feel says that he didn't become so technical on it. Maybe he just based on the combination of his experience and reviews found on the internet. But well, I might still be wrong Cheesy.

But in my opinion, the only exchange that I'm planning to use are Binance and Coins Pro. There's no need to explain why I choose Binance, it is obviously the leading in this business so why settle for less, right? On the other hand, I also include Coins Pro in my list because it is the official exchange of coins.ph which is the best crypto wallet here in our country. I can assure that it was 100% legit (but AFAIR it was only accessible in the SEA region).
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Sushiswap ? on: September 08, 2020, 01:16:48 AM
Hi, guys! Yesterday my friend send me the sushi swap project and told me that it's a great project to invest in Binance.
No offense but it seems your friend is finding someone to dig for a grave jk Grin. Look on how sushiswap's price drop, it falls so hard. The last time I checked for its price after I bumped into a related thread it costs $3 something. And now it only costs $2.79 (based on CMC). See? Do you really consider it a good project? Nah I don't think so. But well, it is still on its early stage so it's unfair to already make a conclusion in this defi. But in my perspective, the bubble already bursted thus you can't guarantee that it will bounce back. Try other old coins instead.
279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reminder Everyone: If You Don't Have The Keys, Then It's Not Your Crypto on: September 07, 2020, 07:09:00 AM
Are you sure the local exchange you are using is old and legit or just a new one and proclaiming that they are legit? Because that most probably be the root of your problem. The point you told us that there is no trace of transaction in the history makes me thought already that it is sort of inside job. That was very unusual.

Once you get your money back (hopefully), the best thing to do is to withdraw it once and for all and then shift into bigger reputable exchanges like Binance in order to avoid this instance. God bless you Smiley.
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold Strong!!! on: September 07, 2020, 04:46:25 AM
There is so much fear in the crypto market right now. Taking a look at coinmarketcap now, it's scary to see how much of a dump we have now. Everyone complaining in different groups of loosing a lot of their portfolio to the dump.
I feel your pain. Trust me, it will not last long, everything will be over soon and we shall all smile again. Just hold Strong. We might just be able to smile sooner than expected. Nothing to panic over based on history of crypto. History will surely repeat itself.
Dude this is nothing compared to previous bloodbaths. I have witnessed more frustrating drops in the past maybe that's why I already get used to it Cheesy. Everybody, especially the panic sellers, should do the same. Stay calm and hoard further if you can.

But you know what, I am actually upset on what's happening right now, not only because of the dumping season but the overall performance of the market as the -ber month started. I am expecting a consistent uprising throughout the last couple of months and here we are having a bad start. I hope things go well soon, I want to have a merrier Christmas this year lol.
