2621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use cases. What do you actually use Bitcoin for? on: December 07, 2015, 07:04:17 PM
Lately I've been taking a look at Xapo recently launched market where you can buy games and other products at discounted prices. The interface looked very nice and easy to browse, there should be more big e-commerce sites with Bitcoin as the standard way of payment, mainly for digital goods and services.
2622  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for Web Designer! on: December 07, 2015, 06:59:59 PM
I do plenty of web designing but only that (I deliver .psd files so no code). Is the development part a requirement?
2623  Economy / Gambling / Re: Biggest bet ever in the history of Bitcoin? on: December 07, 2015, 06:58:13 PM
Holy cow! Those are insane numbers, those whales must have been trying to broke the casino. I've read a story about one guy who tried that recently, maybe someone has a name, he was actually a real life casino gambler with the fat wallet to break plenty of them if he was in a lucky day and now he was trying his luck with bitcoin casinos. At least those were the rumours floating around.
2624  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.0088 BTC on: December 07, 2015, 10:35:17 AM
No collateral no luck. Every day is the same thing, asking for a loan without collateral should be an automatic ban to keep scammers at bay. If they are newbies and didn't knew then they have the chance to offer one if they are serious, if not they should be banned really.

OH Dear Jared is getting slated in the troll box on Poloinex...dont read it Jared Huh
Not good at all its being called a scam as well...maybe time to jump ship...dont want to be involved if the hate starts to set in

yep, you're right. May be it's time for you to leave the boat...
And dont worry, you wont be involved in anything.

I've been on polo a lot today, I haven't seen any negative comments.. Most ppl just questioning where the dumps are coming from!?!?!

Also, is there news tomorrow? or is it scheduled for next week?

There isnt any news that was just bull crap to keep the dream alive...only news so far is the new fork messed up & all the suckers that bought DGB at 40-45 got done once again......If you were on polo most of the day then you would have seen username Victoria letting Rip, poor girl believed in DGB & lost 10BTC by selling lower than she paid for it......yet another DGB investor that lost confidence in this coin.

You can call me a troll all you like all i am doing is pointing out the FACTS..NOT trolling at all, i am not telling anyone to dump or pump..is that not what troll are meant to do

Don't worry, I'm still here, they want to ban us from this thread because we speak the truth, it's just sad. They can't stand "negative" comments, it should be all hype and wonderful. What's the point of that? to pump the coin? If DGB was strong enough it wouldn't be so vulnerable, the ship is sinking. I'll be the first to admit my error if there's a announcement made and the tide changes (not that it ever really affected the price...).

I'm still holding though and I still think the team behind it is honest.

Hi MTNSAA,

You are a valuable member of our DGB community.  Nobody has ever thought about banning you.  Nobody has ever suggested banning you.  We don't ban people from this thread.  When people spam the thread we have reported them to BitcoinTalk moderators, but we don't ban people from contributing.  My experience is that our community believes in open discussion and appreciates criticism.

I don't agree with your claims that the ship is sinking but I value your opinion.  There doesn't seem to be any reason to be alarmed.  We have signed up over 1000 new users to DGB gaming in just the past few weeks.  We have had tremendous support from the community of mining pools and exchanges during the transition over the past few days.  There were a couple of mining pools that didn't upgrade on time for the DigiSpeed Fork.  It seems they sorted out the upgrade.  There were some issues with the blockchain needing to be re-indexed ... i'm not even close to being an expert at the development so I'm not going to pretend to explain the details.  Over the past 24 hours, (if you read back through some of the posts here) you'll see that those issues are being addressed and everything appears to be working great with the new seed nodes.

Alright I appreciate your kind reply, but we both (and other users) received plenty of messages basically saying GTFO or don't say negative stuff, etc. I don't think that's good for the community at all. The only purpose of that is to actually spread hype and give false hopes, basically if you pump the coin it's perfectly ok, if you don't...gtfo. It's a vicious circle if you will when something like this happens because at the end it bites the project/coin back. Please understand that while many of us value your work and the effort you put in, we are all basically in for the money, we don't really care about your "baby". We want results and progress not this situation we are in where basically nothing really matters because the game is rigged. So sorry if we sound harsh but it's how it is (maybe we are not even entitled to express our opinion, just because we hold some DGB doesn't mean we have the right to question or post opinions, fair enough).

Great game, I just played demo mode and it looks addictive as hell, you weren't lying hehe. The whole functionality reminded me of Satoshi Mines but this actually looks fun to play hehe.

Ancient sounds like abandoned or old account to me.

Yeah, plus this discussion reminds me of Spinal Tap's "Up to eleven" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Up_to_eleven
2629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: December 06, 2015, 05:57:54 PM
I don't think GSW will lose today but every game from now on is a battle so we can't count anybody out. Brooklyn was the only opponent which really put them on the ropes with that overtime @ The Oracle. Do you guys think they have what it takes in Brooklyn? Remember the warriors played yesterday and it was a close game, they have to be tired or the are not humans...
2630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: December 06, 2015, 04:45:09 AM
It's truly amazing how he overtakes games and it's all effortless. It's like he's practising. However I have to said that lately they had some scares, Utah, now Toronto, I guess they could lose before the end of the year.
2631  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betting in Sports on: December 06, 2015, 04:38:13 AM
It depends on what we are talking about. Regular sports betting or these new types of daily fantasy leagues ones? These last ones are proven to be almost impossible to make a living unless you are a savant (there are some pros playing, all are math genius). The same applies to regular sporst betting but I feel it's easier to actually win money regularly if you do your research and know the sport in question.
2632  Economy / Services / Re: 0.25 BTC Bounty on Nude Photos on: December 06, 2015, 02:07:45 AM
I still don't understand what is needed? 200 nude photos? What's so time consuming about that? There are billions of .zip files and torrents. Plus you would be basically stealing these images, one thing is sharing porn it over the internet, or music if you will and another is to pirate copyright material AND sell it for profit.
2633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: December 06, 2015, 01:24:40 AM
Made money with the Warriors again, this ones was very close and for a moment I thought they were in trouble but they got away. The way Curry is playing I don't see them losing anytime soon. Indiana could be a another difficult team in the near future if you want to bet against them.
2634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GEMZ] GetGems - Social Messaging App That Pays - Live on Android, iOS, Web on: December 05, 2015, 04:38:04 PM
Those are some massive blips in the radar, so again I'm not so sure why the price is so low. And I don't tell me that "if you think it's low then buy". I'm a little jaded lately about the whole altcoin community. It seems that serious projects announce great new features but the market moves completely different, like all the effort is for nothing. So I'm just following this closely to try to understand how it all works.

I should buy some now considering the price but something tells me that it could be a big mistake.

I'm disappointed I didn't make the top 12 but congratulations everyone who did. Also good luck to the top prize winner, that's plenty of BTC   Shocked

Great app by the way, I have trouble withdrawing my balance though, it says I should adjust my local time when I enter my phone number...any suggestions?
2636  Economy / Economics / Re: Anyone here part of "1 million club"? on: December 04, 2015, 10:54:20 PM
My humble goal is to reach 2.1 BTC.

21 BTC is a nice dream but in all honesty that's a lot of money for me and I don't have that much long term confidence on Bitcoin. I mean it's an unique and innovative technology, definitely groundbreaking, but it could also become obsolete or worth nothing in the next years. So 2.1 for me is a nice comfortable number  Cool
2637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: December 04, 2015, 09:53:23 PM
cleveland will surely win against pelicans in my opinion cavaliers look strong as always so i am going to bet for them in my opinion its easy money if you do that also atlanta will play at home versus lakers so i guess its easy prediction too that hawks will win

I'm a Cavs fan and let me tell you, the last Wizards game was embarrassing to watch. Mozgov is not himself and there's a lack of effort overall so I'm not so sure on your prediction. However I've had to bet on the Warriors again the way they are rolling, 1.4 against Toronto to me should be easy money but let's see how it goes. I didn't bet much at all, I'm just interested to see when they are going to lose, so I'm following all their games hehe!
2638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GEMZ] GetGems - Social Messaging App That Pays - Live on Android, iOS, Web on: December 04, 2015, 05:36:08 PM
Yes I understand, the same can be applied to Bitcoin value, it's all speculation and I know the altcoin market is heavily manipulated sometimes. It seemed odd to me seeing the drop in price lately so that's why I'm asking you these questions. I already did my research before when I was holding, so I wanted to check some new opinions based on the current dip, maybe there's a manipulator bringing the price down.
2639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GEMZ] GetGems - Social Messaging App That Pays - Live on Android, iOS, Web on: December 04, 2015, 05:15:24 PM
Wow, I used to hold a lot of Gems some months ago and I was always interested in the project. Do you guys think is a good price to buy now?

Man if i had btc left now i would be buying, this project is progressing all the time, update after update, userbase increasing rapidly and innovations being introduced frequently, devs travelling to promote, have big connections. Only a matter of time before Gems explodes imo, wait untill they open up easy way to buy Gems for thousands of people and Gems gets a real usecase with the AE. Userbase wise i think its already top 3, 10k new downloads in only 30 days, that has to be a record after dogecoin back in the days. What do u think will happen if its network effect will hit 1 million? We all will be rich mofos.

Well you sound very confident in the potential. My take was that I gave it some time but nothing much happened, so I'm glad I sold with a small profit but now I see the price is very low and I'm thinking of buying some. Maybe even start collecting with their daily bonus and other ways.

What do you think is the real value of Gems, not what they aim but how much do you think it will be worth if the userbase keeps expanding as it has in the previous months?
2640  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Freedom is not free. on: December 04, 2015, 03:34:21 PM
...
Isn't life Ironic? The things that people can make or build cost a lot of money. But the BEST things, the things you got from nature, the things people don't have the ability to make, cost you nothing.
...
The things you got from God, right? Freedom is free in Jesus. A strong relationship with Him, and even in a prison cell you can feel free, because this life is like a dream, and someday you will wake up and it will be over, and eternity will begin.

While I don't consider myself religious I do understand what you are saying. However first we must survive this life and Jesus, Buddha or whatever entity you have faith on won't help you on your darkest moments. I do understand the belief that this life is just means to an end, and not the end itself. The problem is surviving this path, it's not easy. Living in a prison cell is not easy even if you have faith, living in poverty without your basic needs covered and not prospects for the future isn't easy. Same goes for psychological problems, health issues, family, etc.

Also freedom is a complete illusion, you are not free because you are not a single entity, you belong to a system you like it or not. Nature is also a system and if you live by yourself in the forest you'll be also bound to its laws. We did that for centuries and it just doesn't work. Humans aim and long for comfort (provided by all kinds of technology) and prosperity.
