2622  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your bitcoin ATL prediction before next halving on: June 19, 2022, 05:07:43 PM
Hard to see us breaking past the 2020 low -- that itself was a Black Swan event and we were just seeing $8000 a week before that time, so we'd need to get both those again: trading below $10k AND another massive unexpected shock event. We couldn't possibly be so unlucky, could we?

That said, we're going to see a lot more inflation-fighting measures from fiat nations, and the pricing in of further Fed rate hikes means we're getting more low blows for a bit.

$11k is my vote.

$12,000 was mine but yea I find it hard to fathom that we are now talking 12k, 11k, 10k
and possibly lower.

Lucius on page one made the point and its something I pointed out last week we are in times
now which have not happened in Bitcoins history so the poll is just a guessing game.

We are definitely entering very interesting times.
2623  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not panic. Everything will get better on: June 19, 2022, 02:48:57 PM
1. Be patient, don't panic.
2. Buy and hold.

The first attitude is very suitable to be applied and very many traders experience tremendous panic when they see the market price drop, especially Bitcoin is now at $18k.

It's becoming increasingly apparent that other coins are very influential on Bitcoin. So, the opportunity to buy to increase the volume of Bitcoin can be done again for long-term investments. The current market situation in my opinion is a very tough test to be applied by those who are impatient.

Do not panic. Everything will get better.
How many same situation Bitcoin had been for more than 12 years? isn't it common to have some panicking while some are chill and taking this as advantage?

But thanks to your post because we need more of this nowadays , because those newbie and weak  investors are becoming the roots of this continuous dumping.

If only they understand to what will be the coming? then you will keep hold and never to expect all is will be on our favor.

Just help the market stay strong by keeping funds even in dumping like this

Thats it, we have seen the panic many times before, its just the nature
of human sentiment. The excitement grows when the markets are positive
and some people buy into the excitement and buy high, they then panic
when the markets are negative and sell believing some naratives that
Bitcoin is "going to $1000"

Thankfully there are many more who take advantage of the panic in the
markets and are confident that there will be new ATH's ahead.

This is just the way it is, there are cycles negative and positive and after
the next bull market there will be a bear to follow.
2624  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase is absolute shit. on: June 19, 2022, 01:57:23 PM
you will find such trading tool using coinbasepro.
If you take a few of your time and search on YouTube or Google, you will find an answer to your answers.

As above, If you are using the basic Coinbase app or Coinbase
Exchange to literally exchange from currency to currency its
fine, if you want to buy/sell/trade you need to use CoinbasePRO.

So yea there are differences, here is a link with the pro's and con's
for both Coinbase's >

https://www.investopedia.com/coinbase-vs-coinbase-pro-5120704

I dont use Bittrex but I would say CoinbasePRO would be comparible

^Hopes fading for Osaka, but I already stopped looking at her as an option for a while now, ever since the tears came. Feel bad, but yeah, better she just get back regulated before picking up a racquet again for competition.

snip

It is too bad for Osaka as I liked watching her play and for one moment, she really dominated the field and won 4 grand slams. I don't think all hope is lost yet, if she can find some good mental health coaches, it can do wonders for her and she may start winning again grand slams. She still got the talent.

Yea I agree, Osaka is only 24, she has plenty of time to get back to winning ways.
It is a pity that she misses Wimbledon and TBH she has been off the radar for
a good number of weeks while everyone talks about Swiatek.

^^ Kyrgios yeah. I don't know, I keep getting fooled by people, Tsitsi fooled me most recently, now I have no particular favourite darkhorse. Speaking of... just had a bit on enjoyment on ATP, thought Medvedev had a small scare, when he lost the advantage at 3 games each in first set... but after he got the tiebreaker, the outcome was a given.

Gea I stopped backing him a while ago, today the bet on Hurkacz paid off, he beat Nick
in 3 sets, I didnt see it but I'm sure there was plenty of giving out and the odd raquet
smash too
2628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 18, 2022, 07:07:19 AM
Hurkacz proceed in semi-final in Halle, winning over FAA, and I like to watch him on Wimbledon, since he is the one that won last Federer match there, with 6:0 in last set (really expecting Federer to play Wimbledon once more, just to clear that last set from BIO)

Cilic, Kyrgios won today, and they could pass into next week on Wimbledon too
still, after all, I decided to go with Norrie, and thinking to have bit bigger bet on Swiatek, although really do not follow women tennis, but seems as value, looking on scores

Hurcacz v Kyrgios in one of the semi finals today, Kyrgios is favourite but I find it difficult
to back him, I might instead do a handicap bet on Hurcacz. I feel as the stakes mount
so too does the pressure on Kyrgios and the question arises, can he handle it?

I'm also thinking over at Queens Krajinovic plays Cilic, and another handicap on Krajinovic,
Cilic always seems to make hard work of winning

Looking at the semis on the womens side in both Berlin

Bencic v Sakkari
Jabeur v Gauff

and Birmingham

Zhang v Cirstea
Haddad Maia v Halep

Its even more difficult to pick winners IMO, very close match ups. I'm sure they
are delighted Swiatek is not plating !

Manly Sea Eagles - North Queensland Cowboys   ML   North Queensland Cowboys @ 1.52   Taken Amount: 0.10 mBTC   Possible Payout: 0.152 mBTC

....:::edit:::....

I'm thinking of betting on both the Broncos and Roosters to beat the favourites, $1 on each!

Eels 1.77  v  2.15 Roosters
Storm 1.13  v  6.6 Broncos

So yea my long shot bet on the Broncos yielded nothing, final score 32 - 20.

So I'm 1 from 2 and I have the Sharks to win @1.18 which is looking safe'ish with
67' gone and the score 18-10.

Rugby Union

The final of the United Rugby Championship is scheduled for this evening, an all south
African affair, The DHL Stormers v The Vodacom Bulls.

The Stormers are favourite at 1.68 against the Bulls 2.28 so I'll go with the Stormers.
I recon it will be close though, they seem evenly matched but the Stormers were able
to topple the top performing Leinster side in the semi and the Bulls just about won
their semi.
2631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is dead! on: June 17, 2022, 11:01:01 PM
Just like the thread title the media rely on sensationalism and at times like this Bitcoin
is a popular target. Its funny that they fail to state or maybe they just dont see it that each big
crash fails to go below the previous one.

Someone will keep telling you that Bitcoin has collapsed… if you don't zoom out, you won't see the truth.
  • January 2015 - Bitcoin plummets to $225
  • July 2017 - Bitcoin plummets to $2500
  • June 2022 - Bitcoin plummets to $20K

Someone will still tell you later, bitcoin crashed to $200K… run before it's too late.

Even looking at the negative prices the pull back prices they still show growth from
halving to halving, the media are not going to state that.

Its funny, even at times like these I find it hard in some ways to be negative.
2632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 17, 2022, 08:14:09 PM
I can't really see anyone beating Swiatek, my concern was more about her fitness. I think she's had a shoulder injury recently, and I'm wary of betting on her to make it through 7 matches in a fortnight without that injury flaring up. If she stays fit, yes, the 2.5 looks good.
Swiatek is overwhelming favorite for the title and odds of 2.5 sound almost too good to be true. I guess it is because she never had any significant results on grass but this time i believe it is a case of her being young and exploding just this year rather then her being bad on grass. She looked miles above all competition in last couple of tournaments and I expect her to continue in same fashion.

Not even gonna comment Serena, I don't see her as legit contender against anybody who can make her move around the pitch.

I think currently no one in the women tennis world is even close to taking a set from Swiatek let alone winning the match against her. Some seriously unlucky day must happen that she gets knocked out . So for me this is an easy every much under games and her to win the tournament

On grass there is possibly one who could pose a bit of a threat, Beatriz Haddad Maia from
Brazil is going very strong ATM, After winning Nottingham both singles and doubles she is
through to the semi finals at the Birmingham Classic. She played twice today and won to
meet Halep the second seed, that will be interesting. I think she is one to watch for Wimbledon
and possibly meeting Swiatek.
2633  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Interesting new coin for sale on Etsy - 3d printed. on: June 17, 2022, 05:40:39 PM
Wow thats really interesting on how to open the "coin", you have
to actually destroy it to get to the QR code. There wouldnt be a
chance of getting a fake. The only concern would be the generation
of the wallet address and keys.

When I first saw them I thought they looked a bit cheap and a bit
gimmiky but the photo above and the video make them look less so.
2634  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] The Times Newspaper Bitcoin 10-Year Anniversary Jan 2019 on: June 17, 2022, 12:08:28 PM
Don't you think $1,000 is a bit steep for an advertisement in a newspaper?

Its an interesting newspaper, its a commemorative piece marking the 10 years of Bitcoin,
the market will decide on a value, I havent seen one for sale yet.

Don't you think $1,000 is a bit steep for an advertisement in a newspaper?

No clue, honestly; will let the market determine.

It might be worth drastically reducing the start price and have a reserve price too,
let people bid with what they are comfortable with when the auction is over you will
have a clearer picture of what you can get.
2635  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bottom is Actually In on: June 17, 2022, 06:38:52 AM
Not sure if I agree that this is the bottom (because the world is obviously in uncharted territory, though I don't really do TA so you're more qualified); but one thing's for sure — for those that are waiting for lower prices, this spot is definitely a great spot to start DCA-ing.

Yea in this current world economic climate its very difficult to call the bottom. We are
heading into a world recession as banks start raising interest rates, both of those
two events havent happened in Bitcoins history so these times are really unchartered
territory for Bitcoin.

But yea great opportunities for DCA'ing
2636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 16, 2022, 09:18:19 PM

When Kyrgios wants to play he can be the best player in the world. But when his mind goes black he will lose instantly and not care about anymore in the match. This happened in his last loss when he lost the first set and didnt care anymore for second against Murray

I have the same feeling like you. When he is the good mood, he can win against the best players in the world but sometimes he just doesn't care. I like to watch him, it is always very entertaining, but betting on Kyrgios is always dangerous as you never know in what mood he is.

I actually watched the match on replay (not live) and OMG he is unbelievable, there is
always controversy with him. Early in the second set he got a tim warning while not
on serve, obviously it didnt go down well with him, he went to his bench, sat down and
had a drink, the tournament supervisor was out talking to him.

Now well done to him for pulling himself together and working the win, but no I
wouldnt bet in him either.

He plays Carreno Busta tomorrow and is favoirite for that.

Jeez Timelord, the Warriors over the Panthers, thats a bit of a long shot!

Regarding the Rabbitohs, yea they are slipping, 7 wins from 14, not good.

Looking at the draws this weekend there are a lot of really close ones.

My first bet of this round is on Nitrogensports with the same odds as you got.

2639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODLing strong! on: June 16, 2022, 06:30:40 AM
And all my friends asked me how (and IF) to buy at 60k. I was saying guys, this is not the right moment, wait for the next drop in 2022. Now, if I say "hey this is a good time to buy"... they say nope. Every cycle is the same. And those are they same I tried to orange pill at 700$.

Yea, the novice buy when the market is green and sell when everywhere is red. I wonder how they can make the profit. At this time they will say the dip will go dipper, which also is better than the green going red and dipper red.

If you hold btc, hodl bur if you hold shit coins sorry.

Its funny how that goes isnt it, some people, a lot  of people act on emotions, they
need confirmation to act, but those confirmations for them come at the wrong time,
buying or selling when the markets have already moved drastically for them is confirmation.

I'm very happy at the moment that somebody was willing to sell Bitcoin so I could buy it,
but they are not getting it back at anywhere near this orice from me!
2640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 15, 2022, 06:17:25 PM
Berrettini who is growing and growing into the grass court season, definitely one to watch
along with Cilic who plays Bublik tomorrow.

Draper plays Ruusuvuori tomorrow, the commentators on Amazon Prime recon it will be
a very close match there as Ruusuvuori is kind of under rated.

Berrettini definitely has a chance at Wimbledon, but he's fourth favourite, so I'm not sure there's a lot of betting opportunity.
I think there's a danger with Draper after his eye-catching win the other day that the press will start to get carried away and hyping him massively. There may be good opportunities to bet on him at Wimbledon depending on the draw, but this is only for so long as he continues to fly under the radar. It might be better for Wimbledon betting if Draper loses against Ruusuvuori, to lower his profile a bit and dampen expectations.

Well Draper lost today to Ruusuvuori in two sets so the heat should
come off him a bit now. I actually played one of my Micro bets on
Ruusuvuori to win @ 2.17 so that was nice.

Kyrgios and Tsitsipas are playing each other in Halle right now. Tsitsipas won the first set with 7:5. Interestingly, Kyrgios played two break points in the second set and is currently leading 5:2. It will probably be a total of 3 sets. I didn't think it would be that difficult for Tsitsipas.
Kyrgios is back to his old self, playing one game perfectly with couple of very crowd pleasing shots and then arguing with that same crowd few games later and breaking the racquet.

Looking forward to see Cilic play tonight. He has a though opponent and this match should do nicely to see how good he will be on grass this season.

Well done to Kyrgios, I have stopped being overly interested in him
and wont bet on him. I didnt see the match but Tsitsipas is not
going well on Grass so far.
A bet against Kyrgios in some way is always a viable option IMO...
but not today !!
