2741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IF YOU OWN ANY ADT READ THIS NOW!!!! on: January 06, 2014, 05:06:43 AM

I welcome the fix and if you really don't want your millions?? you could donate them to the other dev that has fixed it up.

and who would that be?
2742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IF YOU OWN ANY ADT READ THIS NOW!!!! on: January 06, 2014, 04:31:54 AM
.... but it was made my a well known dev here as a fix to ADT's bug.

what fixed the bug that there's 66 billion of them and pos mining has run out  Roll Eyes

It was a stuck block not that it ran out as far as i know. Even so the entire coin design is possibly being changed over. Have a look at the ADT repair thread if you are genuinely interested finding out what the latest fix does and what steps take place next.

well I own millions of these but its only been revived so zackclark70 and other big bag holders can dump the millions they've been stuck with......let it die already

I still have to wonder if people are starting to realize altcoins are almost always just traded for BTC.

Maybe scrypt based coins are slowly being rendered worthless by investors in BTC, and useless by exchanges who refuse to trade them for fiat directly.

dunno as a trader I hold a significant percentage of most the top alts yet hold little btc , the main exchanges I use trade alts for fiat directly (not that I care much for fiat either).
2745  Economy / Economics / Re: Keiser Report: Westminster Circus (E544) on: January 06, 2014, 03:33:39 AM
Max Keiser goes on about the greedy bankers yet he's just as bad, pumping btc to personally profit, showed his true colours when given scamcoin quark to pump.
2746  Economy / Economics / Re: Day trading Alternative currencies on: January 06, 2014, 03:29:34 AM
yes cryptsy sucks for daytrading so find another platform.

2750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Do You Want to See in an Alt-Coin? on: January 05, 2014, 03:50:13 AM
less is more, prefer no more alts thankyou  Grin
2751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: End of the ALT coins hype? on: January 05, 2014, 12:59:38 AM
I think the coin exchanges are going to get a bit more picky from now on. I get the feeling that they don't want coins stuck at a satoshi for weeks on end on their exchanges with nobody buying them.

I get the feeling cryptsy was happy with the profits it got from the likes of doge that they'll gladly keep adding any crapcoin for shortterm gain.

Lets welcome all the new members from NYTimes and business journals articles then dump the shit on them Sad forget longterm viability of cryptos lets just make a quick buck out of the suckers Sad
2752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Coin Do You Have Your Money Invested For 2014 ? on: January 04, 2014, 02:46:01 PM
Well if wallstreet gets a hold of btc and pushes it to 4k+ (like some predict), then yes any alts that have decent communities behind them and aren't premined scamcoins has the potential to be $1+ on pure speculation.

I'd agree the 2 already mentioned in this thread have enough in the works to exceed just pure speculation.
2753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FairCoin Foundation - Please Read. on: January 04, 2014, 09:53:31 AM
I love this idea, but with so many shitcoins already on the market and so many shitcoins being created all the time, there have to be other criterium.

I think a huge obstacle is going to be getting an exchange on board. Cryptsy and CoinedUp keep adding new shitcoins. BTC-e hasn't added any new coins in some time. While a huge obstacle to tackle, any foundation is going to have to either a) promote an exchange that uses ONLY FairCoin approved coins; or b) create an exchange that ONLY adds approved coins.

Additionally, peer-review is going to be required. Transparency is essential for this to work. What are you going to do to guarantee this?

Yes exchanges add any crap attitude is part of the reason a separate (non benefiting) committee is needed.
2754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FairCoin Foundation - Please Read. on: January 04, 2014, 09:51:44 AM
So should we just refer to it as the FairCoin Committee?

we can also refer to it as FairCoin Association, Union, Trust, Council, Commission, Group, or Board.

FairCrypto, FairCurrency, FairCryptocurrency as not all cryptos are coins, but yeah committee or similar.
2755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FairCoin Foundation - Please Read. on: January 04, 2014, 09:48:45 AM
I think a crypto should be in the market for some period before it receives an endorsement;
otherwise a dev could premine 3% say its for bounties, giveaways etc, keep a ledger for 1% list on an exchange personally dump 2% and go "so long suckers" (with the committees endorsement to get a higher value).

2758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FairCoin Foundation - CryptoCurrency Watchdog. on: January 04, 2014, 06:28:15 AM
also like to add I am totally in disagreement with the term 'foundation' (cause it wouldn't be one) or 'watchdog' (its not a policing etc) for this committee.
2759  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Giveaway] Klingon Empire Darsek Giveaway on: January 04, 2014, 06:25:45 AM

2760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FairCoin Foundation - CryptoCurrency Watchdog. on: January 04, 2014, 06:01:54 AM

strength in numbers, if the numbers are wrong they wont make it to the exchange and will die out naturally I believe.

lol so you're saying no scamcoins have made it too exchanges? non with hiddden premines? pump n dump dev's? ....yeah sure  Roll Eyes
