Wallet fix now and after update at least three nodes I'll add wallet link in OP.

How about a bit of community consultation before your "fix"?

Unless I missed something you seem to be "reviving" (or so you call it) a coin that isn't abandoned?

Should also point out that most of the discussion on our progress takes place on our DigitalCoin forum (http://digitalcoin.co/forum/) or in our IRC Channel at irc.freenode.net #digitalcoin . Feel free to join us!

which is simply preaching to the converted  Wink no growth in any industry by that approach.
1865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CFC2]Coffeecoin | New client in the works! on: September 13, 2014, 02:34:04 AM
Hi all!

I'm from RevivalCoinGroup and we want take Coffeecoin  to  our management!

I' contacted with user coffeecoin and we discussed some crisis-stop plan for the near future.
Here is:

1. Fix fork issues.
2. Rebuild wallet, where fix POS and stop POW.
3. To make efforts to save trade in Bittrex.
4. Expand trade to other exchanges (after adjustment and normal wallet function).
5. Also we support https://coffeecoinguild.com/ and there is our official site!

coffeecoin will work in collaboration anytime and i hope we will make CFC2 sparkling as star and fragrant as cup of coffee  Cheesy

1866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Litecoin Prosper? on: September 12, 2014, 05:48:07 AM
No scalability; Bitcoin/Litecoin and clone Alt Currency branches support architecture is fundamentally flawed. The block discovery difficulty and hash rate power/costs to mine coins has increased to the point that you need a small server farm to achieve a small amount of profit.  Recent cloud farming services have moved in because they can operate more efficiently to keep mining profitable.

Lack of scalability (en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Scalability) and future network support is Bitcoin’s and other clones “albatross around their neck.”  As of Sep 11, 2014, 13,250,900 out of the total possible 21 million Bitcoin’s are in circulation. Bitcoin’s support network is rapidly approaching a point where large scale mining will no longer be profitable.  You don’t need to be an economist to realize that when doing something is not profitable, people stop doing it.

After coin mining is no longer profitable, the support networks processing power will shrink and verifying huge block chains will take longer, making it unusable as a functional daily currency.  Bitcoin could eventually become the sole digital currency (gold standard) that others are valued against.  Observing current markets, it’s well on it’s way.

NXT’s nxt.org support architecture makes more sense, it’s eco-friendly and processing power is scaleable to achieve fast block processing times. Trust, transaction speed and security are ultimately the deciding factors that will make any digital currency viable.  Depending on peoples acceptance, it’s marketplace could eventually be a serious competitor to PayPal and eBay, due to lower transaction fees.

1867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is this the end of Bitcoin & Altcoin dream ????, Apple introduced "Apple PAY" on: September 10, 2014, 01:56:24 AM
Now can someone please explain: Why is Apple's credit card security better than Apple's nude selfie security?

It wouldn't need to be, end users don't care that much about security of their money if the provider covers their loss. I've had someone goto town twice on one of my creditcards, one phone call and I haven't lost a dime  Cool, someone takes my bitcoin................hmmmm  Shocked
1868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is this the end of Bitcoin & Altcoin dream ????, Apple introduced "Apple PAY" on: September 10, 2014, 12:39:58 AM
I know a grand total of three people with Iphones. Contactless payment is everywhere where I am. I've never actually seen a real transaction take place with it yet.

so it is like bitcoin  Wink
1869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Transferring BTC from Bittrex to Cryptsy on: September 10, 2014, 12:25:27 AM
Hi, I sold some altcoins on Bittrex and have "sent" the BTC from bittrex to my Cryptsy account.   The amount (small about .1 BTC) shows reserved on my Bittrex account but hasn't made it to my Cryptsy account.   The status says pending.  Is that a sign that I might have cut and pasted my bitcoin address on crypsty incorrectly or is a 2 day wait not unusual (it should be!)?

Thanks

does it say pending at the cryptsy end?
1870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CFC2]Coffeecoin | New Bounties! | Now with Mac wallet! on: September 09, 2014, 04:16:46 PM
Explorer resynchronized from the blockchain provided by Samai, however neither he nor I are "officials" on this blockchain.

So the dev should ideally come forward, ensure it's the proper chain by communicating with exchanges, then add a checkpoint in a new version.
(FWIW I PM'ed that to the dev a few days ago, but haven't heard back)

Something is wrong here. Please check my PM. I also copied it to the dev

https://bittrex.com/Status

I’m sure Bittrex is holding most of CFC2 coins and should be on the right chain. It’s block height is shown as 311322. This should be the right block height even we could update checkpoint today to align with the exchange

Bittrex is stuck on the same fork the explorer was stuck for several days, part of the network is on it, part of the network forged on according to getpeerinfo.

I contacted the dev when the issue became apparent in the explorer days ago, and there was no reply.
I also asked here, and hence the posts I have made in this thread.

If you are able to contact the CFC2 dev, please do so immediately. For BITTREX to become unstuck, it may take an update to the source, and thus github access.

As for the validity of the chain, and getting in touch with bittrex, that's something you, as in CFC2 community, will have to decide and perform, and for the last days, the only person that answered was Samai.

And FWIW I hold no CFC2, so I'm most happy to defer to this community and CFC2 stakeholders.

Just manage, decide what you want and tell me!

edit: I've placed a warning on the explorer I'll remove it once dev reappears & resolves, or the community decides otherwise.

thanks for the info, explains why some coins I sent to bittrex days ago haven't arrived.
1871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: pre 2014 crypto roll call :) on: September 09, 2014, 01:20:21 PM
gridcoin:

Altcoin launched at the of 2013 with, i quote The aim to shift the computational power primarily to BOINC projects while the mining operations become a second priority - so as the network is scaled up, BOINC utilization is scaled up in tandem.

Even if price is low in the few months, comm and dev are really active. In the next days there will be a new important upgrade that will introduce Proof of Reseach (PoR).

Here is the forum where find more info-->https://cryptocointalk.com/forum/464-gridcoin-grc/

Yes I must say I am a huge fan of the idea of using mining hash for a good purpose such as scientific research (ran seti@home for ages back in the day).

I think such an idea is a step in the right direction for cryptos.
1872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / pre 2014 crypto roll call :) on: September 09, 2014, 12:50:34 PM
With the mess of new pump n dump crapcoins out each week now its hard to see how the older coins are kicking along, especially the ones with strong dev teams.

So post about your pre 2014 crypto and how its doing, future plans etc  Grin......might pick up an investor if it all sounds good.

(self moderated only to keep out the blatant plugs of the latest crapcoins that plague every thread here).

1873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptsy = Fail. Cryptsy ran off with my bitcoins. on: September 04, 2014, 09:03:37 AM
days of trying to get just 500k netcoin out, 18 attempts alone since yesterday and I finally have them.

expressed my disappointment at crypsty's  in chat and get told its my fault "you didn't handle it appropriately especially regarding the small inputs", then I get threatened with a ban because cryptsy brushes off any negative feedback in chat as a troll.

hanging in chat over the year I'm not surprised u regularly see the flip and blame the customer approach then the ban threats as the customer vents their understandable frustration.

Market is in danger at bittrex... we have to do sthg.

really. on the next btc-hype. cfc will probably raise with it. But if we loose the exchange, it wont...
its badly cheap now. Buy!

I'm buy too!

Let's buy and save trade in Bittrex!

Good effort so far guys in boosting the market today though personally I'm not a fan of it being on Bittrex in the first place.
1875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Average Joe Thinks about Bitcoin and Altcoins on: September 02, 2014, 08:28:26 AM
I actually had a quick look at stocks, forex, CFD and found little returns compared to bitcoin/altcoin and I had to pay the exchange something like $19.95 for a trade or something and then a 0.25% fee and then some out of the world identification and then went;

..."crypto currency is the easiest way to get into trading and learn new skills, avoiding scams, trading tips etc etc to make me a better investor"....

+1 as a real life fulltime trader, I recommend people try crypto trading to learn trading without having to bet the house. specially when a few giveaway coins can seed your initial trading.
1876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcointalk.org: It's Time To Rise Above the Wreckage and Consolidate! on: September 02, 2014, 08:20:07 AM
Not much substance concerning OP or GLD.

Lots of talk though.

Does anyone know of a market where one can sell Goldcoin short?

Actually goldcoins pretty stable (as cryptos go) and with the new client coming etc if they explain it right they might do ok, imo not the thing to short whether you like it or hate it personally (I'm on the fence).

Better off shorting one of the latest flavors of the month that will die quickly like have you check out that monero? lol being pumped so hard yet still barely off the ground, so probs will fade faster then previous pump n dumps, each cycle gets shorter.

Actually those wishing to take a short position on XMR (Monero) can purchase put options here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=758443.0;all. Derivative markets allowing shorting of XBT and LTC also exist. So my question remains is there a similar market that allows for short positions on Goldcoin?

Yes and thats exactly what the crypto world needs, more pure greed based products, where the new breed of greedy money changes can pillage like in the real financial markets  Roll Eyes

so,do you think coffeecoin2 is a better long term proposition than monero?

be happy to answer that question in the cfc2 thread rather then send the OP's thread even further off track.

XC will be a beast by December, there are a few others that are worth a mention, but there are few other Altcoins that are new, transparent, and possess as much potential as XC atm. I also hold some monero and BTCD, and just recently sold off Cloak.

yes and in a months time u'll be telling us you did the same with monero, BTCD, (and what ever the frig XC is) as you did with cloak and be plugging the next fad  Roll Eyes
