nothin exists that could be considered a 2.0 coin  Roll Eyes
1962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CFC2]Coffeecoin | New Bounties! | Now with Mac wallet! on: August 16, 2014, 03:20:09 AM
Who would have thought that CFC2 will come back to life after several weeks of low trade volume. But still this coin need more buy support to maintain it's strong momentum.

Me Smiley compared to its current price its got great potential upside.
several people (including myself) have ideas for this coin. most in the background have busy lives atm, but yeah sooner or later we'll get things moving.

1963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Comparing returns of Litecoin, Dogecoin, Peercoin and NXT on: August 15, 2014, 08:40:28 AM
Can someone please tell me why Litecoin and Dogecoin lost their values? They looked very promising a few months ago.

Dogecoin was always going to die, ill conceived (understandably though as it started as a joke). Litecoins gaining in value (just decreasing in price v USD/btc at this point through trading).
1964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin TANKING...opinions on future outlook both nearterm and long term? on: August 15, 2014, 07:58:43 AM
Litecoin lacks of more innovation, but it will remain if backed properly.

problem is people wack 101 worthless additions to various alts and the scream innovation.

i've been around here a long time and hold many different alts, but I am yet to see anything even remotely sensible in the way of attracting mass adoption to cryptos.

imo ltc is a genuine improvement on btc without going into stupid pointless so called innovations.
1965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Comparing returns of Litecoin, Dogecoin, Peercoin and NXT on: August 15, 2014, 07:52:22 AM
For me its all about worth not price, litcoin is worth more then all the above put together no matter what its price is Wink
1966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is officially dead on: August 15, 2014, 07:41:08 AM
Problem is there are a lot of miners have pre-order ASIC miner that deliver a few months down the road.

They will need to sell at whatever price to recoup part of their investment.

That's a common fallacy that people bought into 3-4 years ago with Bitcoin. People don't mine for the price today. They mine for the price 5 years from now.

Then wouldn't they be best just buying the coinage rather then the equipment  Grin
1967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Old Stable Cryptos, on: August 15, 2014, 07:33:48 AM
Guys,

What are your thoughts on old genuine coins like, Mega, Quark, Zeta, IXCoin, Feather, Peer, Hobo, Name, Prime and Infinite? Is anyone holding any of these?

All are old yes, a few are genuine and a few are genuine scams  Lips sealed
1968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] !MMXIV !Pure Proof of Stake !Multipool !Hard Fork for several PoS Fixes on: August 15, 2014, 07:25:34 AM
I sometimes will close my wallet when I see that coins are missing from the front page. Once I start it back up everything shows where it supposed to be, just a suggestion to anyone.

thats how mine was working until yesterday now all coins stuck in staking despite none currently staking....so basically I very dodgy client Sad
1969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin TANKING...opinions on future outlook both nearterm and long term? on: August 15, 2014, 01:51:02 AM
I'm getting tired of all this manipulation :/

yet without it cryptos would be about 2% as popular as they are today Lips sealed
1970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] BTCS - BITCASH * ICO ON C-CEX * ONLINE STORE AND SERVICES * JOIN NOW!! on: August 14, 2014, 02:27:02 PM
Change the symbol ;( bitcoin-scrypt already uses/used BTCS. Cheers!

Bitcoin-sCrypt is basically dead and isn't listed on any exchanges anymore so I don't see why Bitcash can't take its place.

Bitcoin-scrypt is very strong with a very strong dev team, but yeah best to not call this coin by the same ticker to avoid confusion (well thats if you want it listed anywhere).
1971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: WTB hero member account active in altcoin forum on: August 14, 2014, 12:26:19 PM
thanks for all the messages and offers guys, u are truly great!

I acquired two new hero member accounts and I am looking for 2 more.  to all those who already sent me offers, there are actually two candidates I will most likely buy of! thanks!

lol, this will not be used for good causes Grin
these accs are actually used for no bad causes, just my opinions and forum presences Smiley.  no scam or anything, plz stay real. i am not a scammer. as I expressed earlier my (=this account) trust rating was abused - I am NOT a scammer and I will never be.

~CfA~

I know this place and I know the rules, though multi nicking is allowed you're pushing it.

As for trust rating abuse Tomatocage is a long respected member who's been on top of many scam artists and sees them coming a mile away, he doesn't abuse the trust rating system.

NXT for sure but I seem that new Ethereum scam taking its place soon enough  Roll Eyes

I dunno, those Gamecoin bastards really irked me.

Some people lost some chaching in that coin.

~BCX~

Yeah those guys are right up there with those Max will be back types  Tongue

Yeah I do here tell rumors some lost a penny or 2 in gme  Embarrassed
1973  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: August 12, 2014, 05:42:14 AM
I've had a clash or 2 with BCX in the past, but to be honest I'd trust him as a Mod. So his suggestion for moderating the Alt section I support (hell it can't get much worse).

1974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin TANKING...opinions on future outlook both nearterm and long term? on: August 12, 2014, 05:15:06 AM
obviously trading vol been too low of late so someones taken the advantage to play the market  Smiley

too many people saying they'd top up on ltc if it falls below $5 to have it not bounce imo.

That is what they say. The orderbooks say otherwise. Doesn't look too good atm!

funny thats exactly how I arrived at my conclusion   Wink

Yeah, but nothing can be done really, if it starts to seriously tank, then the measly orders that you and me could put on are dust in the wind!

well speak for yourself (i'm already one of the largest ltc holders and have been for quiet sometime).

you do know alot of the big buys and sells on ltc (and btc) aren't done via the exchanges most here frequent? so if there is a big sell/buy on the exchanges its for a reason Wink

Sure. But if those big Buy/sells take the exchange rate as an indicator, then it is still incredible important. The orderbooks are slim and that is an indicator that the demand for that coins is not so healthy anymore. There are always people pushing their agenda by manipulating, but to say everythin is due to that is pretty risky Wink

Put it this way I saw the average 24hr vol traded of ltc stay pretty low of late, and was tempted myself to dump on the open market with the sole purpose of increasing my holdings Wink someones just hit that button and done it for us Smiley

no complaints here, just sayin it is what it is.....

People are selling to join Ethereum, StorJ and Syscoin. Also Stellar is not helping.

This is not soley a LTC problem but all alts.

And the same cycle will repeat a few months down the road when people selling Ethereum, StorJJ, Syscoin, Stellar to jump on next hot coin.

Human stupidity never cease to amaze me.

agreed. pretty much why I mainly stick with ltc out of the alts, seen so many other innovative greatest thing come n go.

Litecoin is dropping because in reality it offers nothing new, less block time is its only "feature".. any alt coin outhere with another thing is better than litecoin and people realized that now.

lol not an alt since ltc has any new usable (in the real world) features. only features in the new coins are to sell the new coin to the gullible. ltc itself has advantages over btc for the general pop for use and investment purpose for one the creator isnt a mystery.

Litecoin was promised to be ASIC resistance and have the support of GPU miners before ASIC took over. Now that it is ASIC mineable, only the die hard fan will continue supporting the coin.

why the same fud over and over lol do some research ltc never promised to be asic resistant, no thought was even given to asic at the time of ltc's creation.
