1881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you see these coins in next 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, and 5 years? on: September 01, 2014, 02:49:52 PM
because in complete honesty (even though I am a fan of cryptos and do back a few for now), I don't perceive any cryptocurrency created to this point surviving the next 5 years.

i think a crypto that works the way bitcoin was initially meant to will replace all, (but thats not a cue for someone to plug their lastest shitcoin), i think we are sometime away from seeing that and nothing to this point is remotely even close.

the peaks I give after 2 years is wall streets play....which I am confident will happen, just longer away then most realise.
Then your understanding is either very lacking or completely wrong. If we keep pumping coins at this rate (which can only get worse), no altcoin shall ever be near Bitcoin ever.
Exactly how many merchants will be accepting Bitcoin in 5 years?
http://libertyblitzkrieg.com/2014/01/11/bitpay-is-now-adding-1000-new-merchants-per-week/

I'd agree any alt from this section has buckle's hope of beating Bitcoin, and yes the more that are pumped out even less likely the chances, think thats a given at this point.

However naivety to the extreme if you think this forums is the centre of the crypto universe (just the centre for crypto scams).

Hey goldcoins turning into a genuine longterm contender, you guys are doing a great job, but promote it on merit, not a hairbrain pumpin scheme  Smiley

Thank you for this feedback Kelsey.

I feel we're entering into an altcoin consolidation phase and see a current opportunity here for us to merge talents. The reason people might want to invest, is to ensure themselves a stake which in turn provides them with incentive.

In my view, this is the perfect opportunity to get in on the ground floor.

lets be honest all the successful crypto traders/miners etc have been consolidating since the very beginning of alts Smiley most current successful traders/miners etc trade their flavor of the day/week/month alt to acquire more bitcoin or in the alts litecoin.

you've not given us single real reason to consolidate, merge or sell 10% and buy into goldcoin?

floors yours......(hint substance please).

1884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core Developers say Altcoins are unsecure on: September 01, 2014, 02:12:01 AM
more computing power distributed = more secure coin

this is the right answer.

distribution yes, no raw hash power.

microguys point on incentive is also the case, most people take security measure on face value, not taking into account people thinking outside the square, an eg even though it'd be hard for an individual's comp power to attack btc, a pool could be formed, offer crazy incentives for people to join (while hiding the figures until combining all at time of attack), its concievable, not that hard and not that expensive.

I can figure plenty of ways to attack any crytpos, i like many just don't ann them here as it'd give others ideas.

1886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core Developers say Altcoins are unsecure on: September 01, 2014, 12:42:54 AM
Well even LTC doesn't have enough hashrate to prevent an attack and to be secure enough.
Bitcoin is leading with security no matter what people say. It's unlikely that any coin will take over Bitcoins place right now, maybe later..

but that's the misconception though larger hash (after a point) doesn't mean more secure. ltc actually more secure on many fronts then btc.

Just posting to ask what your thoughts are on the idea behind World Dollar (http://www.world-dollar.com/what-is-world-dollar/), i.e. to give money to all people equally?

Instant fail the moment you use verified facebook accounts to claim (well among other ways to game),. you do know you can buy packets of 100-10000 verified fb accounts (that look as genuine as any, friends and all)?

Over the past 6 months or so I have noticed the term "whale" bandied about a lot, but regarding small altcoins and the power for some people to control markets. This shows how small-time these people are.

In truth, there are no whales in any of the small alt markets that are not just playing.

Yes before you listen to the loudest mouths in the ltc is dead crowd, most if not all are playing with comparative pocket change, its why they are trying to pump their own little penny stock.

You'll have them in one post claiming they know the future direction of the crypto market then in another post about how they made $20 in a alt coin pump  Roll Eyes
1894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How I Turned $200 into $79,000 In 2 Hours On Cryptsy! on: August 29, 2014, 03:29:11 PM

Microguy is a crook. He bought up a fuckload of GLD after it crashed, and then made it his life's goal to draw in suckers to buy his stash.

Nope that was me  Kiss (well I crashed it first then bought back the ummm fookload, but yeah not my life goal just a hobby)

Hi guys, what do you think about LTC price will it comes up at 10$ after month? i'm holding 30 ltc right now..

Sell now and never look back.

500M- 1T hash scrypt miners will be released a few weeks from now. Those miners will sell all the mined coin as fast as they can to recoup whatever investment they have left.

yes yes just like what happen to bitcoin  Roll Eyes
1898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Litecoin can't reach Bitcoin price? on: August 29, 2014, 12:13:52 PM
I've heard a lot of Bitcoin/Litecoin people say that, but I'm not sure all of them realize it is just their opinion. It is not based off of any scientific evidence or research.. people just kind of throw this claim out there as if it's true and we are all supposed to believe it.

or simply such people have actually examined the bitcoin code and its pre development history to know pretty much all these supposed new innovations aren't so original  Shocked
1899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC on: August 29, 2014, 10:58:24 AM
There are so many new coins out there with way better features, faster blocks and fully anonymous transactions. Any of those will and should take LTC's place in my opinion.

features; no one needs or even wants, faster blocks less security, anon will never be mainstream, added to this zero trust in any new coins as all have been created for the devs to make fiat.

all alts created in the last 12 months have strenghtened litecoin chances, as we watch a waves of flavor of the month best things in cryptos fade to worthlessness.
