The same mistake. If it goes to pool through the auto switch fails, if I choose the pool manually it does not fail. It is a mistake that sometimes arises, the other day in Rig1, now it happens to me in Rig2, a while ago it was going well .... It also has failed me in RIG4.

I have reviewed everything, if something was wrong, the pool would not work when I choose it, it is only in the auto switch and it happens alternately.

It is illogical that for miningpoolhub on lyra2z or Lyra2re2 I get DSTM error. And if I choose THE SAME group but manually, it does not fail.

Ver  5.0.2
Are you running 5.0.2 both for Awesome Miner and the Remote Agent, so the version is the same?

I would like to get an understanding how Awesome Miner starts the DSTM miner and what the profit switching decision looked like before that. Could you send me your Awesome Miner log file (toolbar: Tools -> Log File) via mail and let me know the exact time of the issue? Thanks

FYI...Re: B3 Bytom support
(set as External Miner)
My enterprise edition has recognized and does report connectivity & hash rate on the unit but some stats are not being reported.
No complaints
Are you running Awesome Miner version 5.0? If it still doesn't work, can you select the Antminer and send me an API-report (toolbar: Tools -> API Report) via e-mail? Thanks!
2764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 10000 miners on: May 20, 2018, 07:05:50 AM
Hi Patrike,

I have a couple questions / suggestions.

1. It would be awesome if you could add the ability for Rules to trigger other Rules. For example, if the temperature of (X set of Antminer S9's Miners) exceeds X, then trigger other Rule/s. The other Rule could lower the OC value of the Antminer L3's sitting next to the S9's, lowering the temp of the affected area. There are so many other valuable options that could be created if Rules could trigger other Rules.

2. Is there a way, or can you add a way to natively enable extranonce subscribe (#xnsub) to AM's multipools? I've tried several variations on the "Online Services" panel, and they end up with the URL of the pool breaking. Instead of the Algo's Port # being added to the end of the pool, it adds a -1. See below for pictures.

Thank you!
1) Thanks for your suggestions on this. It's an interesting concept. I assume the main reason is that you want this to not have to define the same actions in many rules. Where you also thinking that if the other rule to execute is selected to run only on specific miners, it will be applied for those specific miners when executed? So the first rule might perform action on Miner#1 and then execute another rule that might be specified to execute only on "Miner#2 and Miner#3" - or should it be configurable that the other rule also should execute on the original Miner#1?

2) Antminers only allows the #xnsub to be specified as part of the default pools (toolbar: Tools -> Antminer -> Default Pools). It's being ignored by the Antminer when you send it via Change/Add Pool operations.

Thanks will this work even if c=btc is checked in the pool address page?

Hello,

If I want to run hashrefinery and miningpool hub and zergpool but do LTC payout on zergpool and BTC on hashrefinery is there an easy way to do that or if not easy, is there a way to do it?

go to Online Services in option, select all zergpool entries and click bulk edit, Update password to: c=LTC
then set your LTC address in the address field on Profit Switching page for Zergpool.

@patrike
It would be clarifying if the pools that supported different payout besides btc would have "Wallet address:" instead of "Bitcoin address:" label in the Profit Switching page.
If you set c=LTC on an Online Service, it will override the setting "c=BTC" you have on the Profit switching page - so the result will be c=LTC. The setting about "c=BTC" is to have a good default value unless you specify something yourself.

Good point. My thinking around this was that for people with less experience in mining would find it easier if it says "Bitcoin address", even if it for some pools can be configured to be LTC or another coin. "Wallet address" is a more correct description as you point out, but it might also confuse some users about what they should put in this field as it doesn't say "Bitcoin address" like some of the other fields. I appreciate your feedback on this and I will see if I can find a good description for everyone.

More on the OC topic.

if you are profit mining, and the miner dies, and AM restarts it.  it seems the *stop* OC is sent, but the *start* is not.  Happens in all cases on all miners.

I'll have to go look at the long the next time it happens, but my guess is because its trying to restart the algo that had just killed the miner if may think it doesn't need to execute it, because it did that already - just a though.

It's possible to follow all the GPU clocking commands that Awesome Miner send to MSI Afterburner if you search for "Executing GPU clocking command" in the Remote Agent log file. You can that verify exactly which commands that are being sent and when. Please get back to me if you find any issues.

In general, if Awesome Miner restarts a crashed mining process, it will apply the Start-clocking profile again.

Hi Patrike, thanks for the adding the SRBMiner config option and the other algos.

Any chance the config option could be tied to an algo or pool, rather than just a blanket config over ride in the mining software priority list for each profit profile.

Mainly because any config changes you need to do are likely to be tied to a specific algorithm, ie different intensity levels for CN V7 or CN Heavy.

Cheers Smiley
Thanks for your suggestion, I see your point here. Your request has been noted.

Hi Patrike in this version it seems that i need to put a 0.001 factor to the ahashpool.com quark algo for it to display correctly the profit.  Thanks for your great software!!
There were a number of new pools in 5.0.2 and your observation is correct. In fact both AHashpool Quark, Qubit and X11 is giving too high values here. Thanks for finding that issue - I will correct it.

Patrick,
Can it change the frequency and voltage on Antminer B3?
I actually don't know, because I don't have access to this ASIC miner. Awesome Miner has a feature to change frequency (toolbar: Tools -> Antminer -> Configure Frequency), but it only works on some Antminers.

No, it can't. There is the option but it does nothing.... Miner always returns to the default 750 MHz.
$90 spent for nothing!
Hi,
Please contact me by e-mail if you don't have any use of your license and you will get a refund. Thanks!

Help & FAQ with image

patrike
can I add an icon to CANN coin, but not to the program itself, but for example in the installed folder or in AppData so that it will display as "?" by default,
 but users have a choice for a proper CANN image if needed. Or some kind of setting with in the wallet to alter the image for the wallet.
You can manually put a file called cann.png in the folder %appdata%\AwesomeMiner\ and it will be loaded by Awesome Miner. It should be 48x48 and PNG.
2772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 10000 miners on: May 17, 2018, 07:28:51 PM
Patrike,

Ya broke it Smiley...

used to be when you clicked the close X in the upper right it would just minimize it to the tool tray, now it actually closes it and the minimize button up there the - doesn't do anything... can I ask for a change.
a) X is always close
b) add an option to general to allow minimize to tool tray if checked and re-enable minimize

Smiley
There are no change to the close button behavior. When I click the X-button in the upper right corner on 5.0.2, the software still minimizes to system tray as it should

If you use the Windows Task Manager, can you verify that the Awesome Miner process is actually terminated (no more on the Details tab) when you click the X-button? If so, please send me your log file via mail. Thanks!

For the minimize, that button has actually a smaller hit area (only the right most part of the button is clickable). This is due to how Windows 10 handles applications that was based on the Aero Glass concept from Windows 7. If you don't want this issue with the minimize button you can go to the Options dialog, General section and disable the Windows Glass feature.

Hi There!  Wink @patrike

I need Help. Normally i'm used to find my mistakes by myself, but with this, i'm getting nearly crazy.

If i self define rules of behavior for my Mining rigs, in Awesomeminer (5.01) (50 till now)

-> they don't apply. Its like, they aren't there.

Quote
Check Statistics: Less or equal than 220000 (kH/s)
Detect Pool: tribus
Match all
---------------------
apply clocking Profile: tribus tune

I also tried only a Test Notification but, based on detect pool: tribus:

till now, only two of my Rigs, all with the same Windows and setup, react to any of the rules.

Also the Restart Computer rules don't apply.....but i get the normal notifications like: Mining Process not running and so on.

If the notification is comming, normally i woul say, the rules work.

But they don't.

Please help with this

Hi,

For the rules, is it a problem with the trigger or the action? You stated that you tried with a notification - but it wasn't triggered? Can you try with having only one of the triggers to see if it's the Check Statistics or Detect Pool that doesn't work here?

How is the rule for restarting the computer defined? Is it possible to find out more specificly what trigger or action that isn't working here?

The notifications like "Mining process not running" and built-in feature to restart a crashed mining process, but they will not perform a reboot by itself.

If needed, you could contact me by mail and provide log files or more details.

Ive been getting a lot of ""failed to initialize log" errors that crash AM. Any idea what might be causing this?
Please verify the following:

1) If you don't have Windows 10, please ensure .NET Framework 4.5 or later is installed

2) Awesome Miner is writing information to the folders %appdata%\AwesomeMiner and %localappdata%\AwesomeMiner, and on a default Windows installation, these folders are writable. There are however some security software that go in and change the security settings for these folders. Can you verify if there are write permissions here?

Should the latest excavator still work if I'm using AM to manage rigs that mine solely at Nicehash?  I just prefer the remote management (vs using the NH beta gui).

I can only seem to get 1.4 to work, but not the latest version.
The API for Excavator 1.5 has changed (again), so Awesome Miner would need an update to support it.
The Excavator minor changes the API in almost every release, making it difficult to support the latest. Also the fact that 1.5 only can be used for Nicehash pools make it more complex to implement with the Awesome Miner profit switcher that would have to take this factor into consideration.

Version 1.5 will probably be supported, but because of the reasons above it's not a quick fix I can provide right now.

ccminer failover pool support would be nice, ccminer supports either inline or separate config file

Code:
ccminer -a x16r -o stratum+tcp://pool1:3636 -u WALLET.rigname -p x -o stratum+tcp://pool2:3636 -u WALLET.rigname -p x -i 20 -N 600

or with a config file loaded with either
Code:
 -c, --config=FILE

Code:
{
   "_note": "Failover 2 pools",

   "pools": [{
"name": "Pool1",
"url": "stratum+tcp://pool1:3636",
"user": "WALLET",
"pass": "x"
    },
    {
"name": "Pool2",
"url": "stratum+tcp://pool2:3636",
"user": "WALLET",
"pass": "x"
    }
   ],

  "algo": "x16r",
  "intensity": "19",
  "statsavg" : "600",
  "api-bind": "127.0.0.1",
  "api-remote": false
}

Ref ccminer flags: https://github.com/brian112358/nevermore-miner/blob/linux/README.txt

I agree, this would be a good feature improvement. I've also noticed that DSTM miner also supports failover pools these days.
