Minor problem with cointomine.today handling
Elicoin is pulling it's price (0.48btc!) from ticker for ELIGMA token so the profit is approx. 10^7 too high.
Of course it's possible to filter for exchange but any other solution?
If you go to the Coins tab and double-click (or select and click Coin Properties) you can change the properties of the coin. You can for example set a Profitability Factor to something like 0.0000001 in this scenario to adjust for the incorrect exchange rate. It would then be applying a correction factor for an entirely different coin/token. If one exchange is reporting bad values for a coin, you can select to use all exchanges except that one. |

rarely a miner hangs because of a bug or whatever, but that miner wont be closed/restarted by the miner himself or by AM. In that case you will see in AM that miner as green "Mining", but without any temperature, or accepted/rejected or anything else.
Rules (online/offline) dont work, because the miner is marked as mining. Check statistics (accepted/rejected/hashrate) also dont work because there are no statistics. So, right now, AM cant realize that scenario and you have to restart the miner manually.
Is there any chance that AM can check that and restart the miner? As an option, or as a rule, or anything else?
If I see that again, I will make a screenshot in case, you never saw that happen.
Is this a case where you get a crash dialog from Windows that is preventing the mining process from terminating? Or is it simply that the mining software doesn't do anything and just freeze? Is the miner saying Mining and also Interface Offline? Can you send me the API report for this case? In general, the idea is that the Offline Detection should find this scenario as well. No Crash-Dialog from Windows. The mining software (saw that in CryptoDredge and T-Rex only) simply hangs, but the system is still fine. You can easy restart the miner and it works well. AM is saying the green "Mining", but you dont see any temperature and progress numkbers. But you see the Hashrate (the hashrate right before the hang happend). So for AM, the software is mining. I tried to catch that with the progress-rule (check accepted or rejected), tried it with the offline-rule, nothing works. Even any idle-rule will not work, because the software is doing the job and the cards are doing something too, but in the pool there is 0 hashrate, because if that damn crash/freeze. I will try to catch that with picture and log when it happens again. But maybe another user saw that rare scenario and can do the pic+log faster. Thanks for the details. If you do see a hashrate in Awesome Miner, it indicates that the mining software still reports monitoring information. Even if the hashrate value might be outdated, it's not easy for Awesome Miner to tell. If you run into this again, it would be interesting to investigate the API report in more detail to see if it's possible to find anything in this report that would be of help for Awesome Miner to detect this as an Offline-case. |

Here is a preview of what the new Power Usage feature will look like while mining. The feature will be part of a development release early next week.
Looking forward to this enhancement! I don't see it mentioned, and if not already added, would it be possible to specify electricity costs on a per day and per time period? Where I live, they have implemented "time of use" electricity prices. On weekends, it is a single price all weekend (and holidays). During the week, there are three different prices set at four different times of the day. Currently, I am using an average of the electricity price, but would love to have more granular control of the price. Thanks, ...jim Thanks! You can use the rules to schedule changes to the electricity price. You will have to define multiple rules, maybe a few for the weekdays and one for the weekend. Use the Time trigger to define when the change should happen. You can then use the action called "Set Property" where you can make electricity price changes. |

Thanks for the suggestion. It was quite little information available related to the actual mining software. If this one is getting popular, it can be added to Awesome Miner. I will also work on making the Generic Miner concept better to make the process of using any custom mining software a bit smoother in the future. |

but if we Configure API Access...
we just get the error-message: Connection failure

The new Antminers like S15 doesn't have SSH enabled at all. At least not on port 22 where it's supposed to be running. I'm not aware of any workarounds for that yet. I will receive my S15 in about two weeks and will then be able to test more. If anyone else find out how to connect to Antminer S15 via SSH, please let me know. It's quite bad if Bitmain simply block it, because their miners would be much more difficult to manage without privileged API access. |

What Ccminer report here is probably what the nVidia driver is reporting. Is it constantly showing too high power usage or only once in a while? Have you used another tool like GPU-Z or similar to verify if you get the same readings there? I do see your point about the PCI-E limitation at 75W here, but that's only a limitation according to the specification and not always enforced. AMD RX480 could consume over 100W via the PCI-E interface for example. I see a different value from 50W to 99W algo x16rt The GPU-3 does not show the consumption of watts on my 1050 without additional power. P.S. I realized that the problem is in ccminer so you can no longer help me, thanks. The GPU power readings from the nVidia drivers are often giving quite some variations so what Awesome Miner will be doing soon, when getting the power usage independent from the mining software, is to use multiple samples and try to smooth out the variations a bit. From one second to another, there can be large variations in power usage. I will be interesting to see if there will be any difference with your 1050 once Awesome Miner will read the power usage instead. |

I wanted to thank my thanks to @PAtrike for taking into account some of my suggestions.
Being able to choose Exchange for each currency for me is a before and after. By default it always shows the exchange that pays the most, which is usually a rare exchange with an inflated price. When I change the exchange to a more normal, if it is in a more normal, the price is usually much lower. The same currency can be in a bad exchange to 300 satochis, a place where you never come, and then maybe this in cryptobridge or Crex24 and the price can be 90 satochis.
This has been a great advance in my operation and improvement of profit. I also encourage everyone to use it, because Cointomine.today usually gives you very rare and no-volume exchanges with an inflated price, look for another more normal exchange where this is and select it. You'll see things with real prices where you're going to sell

Hey Patrike, there seems to be a bug with right click > change pool > pool. This has existed for quite some time. It'll swap miners to a new pool, but if the miners restart they'll default back to the pool they were originally on. Looking at properties of the miner they'll show the old pool instead of updating to whatever pool you swapped to.
The operations to Change Pool and Add Pool and so on are not making any permanent changes to the miner configuration - only changes what you currently mine. There should probably be an easier way to persist these changes to the miner if preferred (I do see your point here), although it would be a bit different on ASIC miners compared to GPU miners here, as saving pools to an ASIC is not always an easy operation. |

After update to latest v. 6.0.9 my Coins tab shows completely blank page. Tried all the obvious switches in coins options but no luck.
Can you please send me both your Awesome Miner log file (toolbar: Tools -> Log File) and if possible also the configuration file ConfigData.xml located in the folder: %appdata%\AwesomeMiner\ With this information I should be able to find out what the issue is. Thanks! |

Hi, are there any plans to support FPGA Miner like the BlackMiner F1 from HashAltCoins ? https://www.hashaltcoin.com/en/minersThe Miner uses a slightly modified control board from the Antminer L3+ (CGminer Version 2.3.3) since it supports different bitstreams (algos) switching the pool and the algo must be happen at the same time. regards hagie I'm not really familiar with these kind of devices. If they do provide a montioring interface (API) I can add support for them. Based on the fact that they run Cgminer - have you tested if Cgminer is running with the API enabled already? Or are there any way of accessing Cgminer settings via a web interface or Cgminer.conf via SSH on this miner? |
