281  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor exporting Transaction history error on: April 05, 2022, 09:22:40 AM
So, I got the last ubuntu distro on a usb drive, got a laptop running the live distribution and installed the Suite again. Took another cable, I know it's not relevant but just in case, and tried to export the transactions...

We are rolling now for 10 mins... nothing... just loading.

It's not that bad laptop, i7 4th gen. with 8gb ram.

I start thinking maybe I do something wrong. It's so stupidly easy that you cannot make a mistake but here are my steps so let me know what I do wrong.

After I open the suit I go to my accounts and then just go to the "..." and then "export to PDF".

This is how I'm testing it right now. It's just keep rolling.

How long time it takes to get file done?

Just for info, it's a Legacy Segwit account.
282  Other / Meta / Re: Profile trust score meaning on: April 05, 2022, 08:18:46 AM
OP, on the screen you tried to hide your e-mail with which you are registered on the forum, but you have it open.
To hide your email address, simply check the Hide my email box.

I made a mistake here, I was looking to his other profile when I saw there was no email there. TOo many open tabs.. sorry.
This does not hide the email when you view your own profile, as it's in the OP case. It hides it only for the others.
His email is actually hidden.

BTW this is how you should see you profile if you don't have any alts. From the given pictures above you are logged in into your alt account.

To the OP's question> The 1 really depends what your trust list is. DdmrDdmr has answered you quite well. Smiley
283  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor exporting Transaction history error on: April 04, 2022, 11:59:23 AM
So I left the process running for a while. When I came back, I got this:

@dkbit98 The version is the latest one : 22.3.2
Different browsers, same issue.
For info: I have the Trezor Bridge installed long ago on all the computers I tested the issue.
I think I will try on a fresh installed PC and I'll let you know.

This is where it ends > rolling the green loader...

284  Other / Meta / Personal Notes on user accounts or a private Trust feedback. on: April 04, 2022, 09:53:36 AM
I see a feature that will be quite useful for me, to be able to leave private notes on accounts which will be visible only for me, like neutral feedback visible only for me.
I cross so many accounts on a daily basis during my reporting hobby, it's gonna be so much easier if I can leave a note, comment on an account without messing with his trust feedback.
Instead of creating bookmark folders and bookmarking every account to follow, I could just leave a private feedback about the case or links and come back later to continue what I'm doing.

Do you guys see this feature as useful from your point of view? I don't know what will be the chance to be implemented here, but I would request it for a Epochtalk feature if more people are interested.
285  Other / Meta / Re: Who has the highest IQ and who has the lowest IQ ? on: April 04, 2022, 09:41:05 AM
Highest: o_e_l_e_o

Lowest: Somebody dumb as hell, who cares.

There you go.
BTW not everyone was sincere while doing the "IQ test" so the results won't be real.
I'm sure 99% of the people searched for at least 1 answer, as those questions were quite "English" related (at least were my questions) and if you are not native speaker you just gonna gamble.

286  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor exporting Transaction history error on: April 04, 2022, 09:34:07 AM
But when you come to the export menu and try to export the data into CSV ... it goes to infinite loading.

I updated the suite, updated the HW it self (trezor one) to the last versions and it's still the same.
Tried trough the web based suite.
Changed the PC, tried both solutions and still the same Sad
~Snipped~
Anyone else having this issue with Trezor One?
I have no issues with exporting data in all of the available formats and it's worth mentioning that you can export your data without connecting the Trezor One to your PC [make sure the "remember" function on Trezor Suite is checked for that wallet, then try the export function again (perhaps it's conflicting with something)]. Have you checked if both of your PCs are fully updated?

Everything is updated windows, software, firmware, just everything. I even turned off the antivirus.
Let me know one thing, if you choose a range, from date to date, are only those transactions for this period listed below or there are the transactions since the beginning?
I have a fresh installed PC and I'll check it on that one when I have the time.
287  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor exporting Transaction history error on: April 04, 2022, 08:26:42 AM
It looks like even tho I have selected the period for which to list the transactions, there are all the transactions listed there since the beginning and the system is trying to export all of them.

For the past year I have no more than 15 transactions so it should not be a problem to export them in a file.
In total I have no more than 130 transactions, and this also should not be a problem to be processed.

It's not working with the other formats either.
288  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Trezor exporting Transaction history error on: April 04, 2022, 07:38:28 AM
It is again this time of the year when the Scandinavians shall do their tax reports and again there are issues with the exporting the transaction history for the past year in csv file.
First choosing the period for the report is really hard to do. If you try to navigate trough the months and years it always goes back to today's date.
That's not so big issue, I just type the dates I want so it's workaround.
But when you come to the export menu and try to export the data into CSV ... it goes to infinite loading.

I see i'm not the only one having this problem, and the support is ... 0. They say it works with them, change the computer, WTF!

At the end I'll do it manually.

Anyone else having this issue with Trezor One?
289  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor mailing list breached on: April 04, 2022, 07:27:18 AM
Oh not Trezor too. All these hardware wallets had their user data compromised. I got an update notification from the Trezor Suite and I installed the last version yesterday, I hope it's not the case as the Electrum fake update from a few years ago.
I'll check it as soon as I get back home. Sad
290  Other / Meta / Re: [April Fools] The Officially Unofficial Bitcointalk IQ Leaderboards and Stats on: April 03, 2022, 07:57:43 AM
As I said I “cheated" as I edit my post many times and refresh it many times to answer those questions that I know the answer. I did some "shots in the dark" based on logic but I failed few times.
Unfortunately It was more fun to play the QA role here and find a way to go around without looking for the answers in Google.
The questions mostly were English and US focused at least those I got.
291  Other / Meta / Re: IQ testing now required before posting on: April 01, 2022, 12:09:44 PM
Ha, If you refresh the post before you post it, you get a new question, lol. Am I cheating?
292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goodbye, privacy, goodbye, it was nice while it lasted. on: April 01, 2022, 12:02:12 PM
So now seems that I have to move everything from my trustwallet, binance, and my Trezor into Bitcoin core to be able to be still free.
It's gonna be interesting how things will go with the collectables like Cas coins etc.
I don't like to KYC but if my coins will be locked and unusable probably will go trough the KYC.
You can always have some coins a side for extreme situations.
293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 2022 Conference on: April 01, 2022, 07:48:41 AM
Damn, when will I have the time and the possibility to go on any of those Conferences. I'm dealing with bitcoin since 2013 and still never been to a actual meeting Sad
Now with family and kids I don't see it happening in the near future.
If anyone's attending, please post pics, at least to enjoy it remotely.
294  Other / Meta / Re: IQ testing now required before posting on: April 01, 2022, 06:52:24 AM
lol that was fun, crazy questions for sure. That will be a bit of a challenge to post, Feeling like in "Who Wants to be a Millionaire "
295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: mtgox issuing free NFTs to users... on: March 29, 2022, 09:10:23 PM
Who's gonna buy those NFTs after the tragic story of MT.Gox? People won't trust magicaltux anymore.
It is a step forward but when you ruin your reputation like Karpeles i still wouldn't trust him.

296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin searches Google Trends 2009 on: March 29, 2022, 09:03:22 PM
using Google Trends I searched for the word "Bitcoin" in 2009 to see where it was searched.
There have been so many theories about who Satoshi Nakamoto is, although yours seems quite different from the ones I’ve been seeing so far. But we can’t really say that the guy you have said to be Satoshi is really the one. There are so many Other people that have also been said to be the real Satoshi Nakamoto. And just because Hal Finney was the first person to receive Bitcoin doesn’t really make him the Satoshi Nakamoto, although I do get where you’re coming from and it is also possible that he can be the one, but the thing is that we just don’t have the proof that he is really the one. There is also Dorian Nakamoto lol, and both has denied of being the one.

yes but there was a considerable volume of research from Phoenix/Temple during the first week that Satoshi presented his project here. A town of only 36K people, explain to me how it is possible.

Well, if you hear about an interesting project, you probably will share it your friends, but not only with those who are on the mailing list but with those you go out for a beer. This could be the case, if Hal told someone about bitcoin he met in person this person most likely would go to search for it online. This is also a possibility.
For me,  Satoshi is not among the living people.. unfortunately.
297  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - Projected Bottom and Halving on: March 29, 2022, 08:19:58 AM
I think we need more time to determent whether we are heading to the bottom, but my feeling is that the bottom is not anywhere near yet. There's still momentum to go up.

After the big money came to play with all those institutional investors the previously working good indicators now does not trigger the same events as before.

The last check was the Bitcoin dominance over alts failed to play as expected and we went in the downmarket even tho we had a high volume to sustain it.

I have doubts now that after China is out of the mining picture that the halving will have the same effect on the price and bull runs as it used to have before.

I just Hodl, seems the best practice for now.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Change the Code, Not the Climate" FUD campaign coming next month on: March 29, 2022, 07:58:38 AM
Nothing will come out of this, or maybe just another alt as BSV and the BCH claiming to be the true green Bitcoin. Probably just a new way for a quick buck for some people selling the news, and probably many newbies will be fooled by this new "green" bitcoin but the original idea won't change any time soon as it has proven as the best solution by now.
299  Other / Meta / Re: [Results 2021] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 on: March 26, 2022, 02:26:50 PM
Finally, congratulations to the winners! Well deserved IMHO.
And big thank you for those who voted for me even when I wasn't active mutch during the last year.
Great work OP. Bringing more life to the forum:)
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Russia May Accept Bitcoin for Gas Exports, Lawmaker Says" on: March 25, 2022, 06:27:35 PM
Image now how the Western countries will jump to buy the gas with bitcoins  /s
No. It will be exactly the opposite. The media will turn the bitcoin into the bad guy for avoiding the Russian sanctions and we will go back in another year of bear market.
We almost cleared btc name form the "scammer's money" or "the criminals money"  titles now we'll go back to the same narrative again...
