281  Other / Meta / Re: I cant remove the negative trust made by Vod on: December 17, 2017, 02:10:57 AM
Do i need to wait 2months or more before Vod remove it?
That's entirely up to how long Vod thinks you need the feedback.
282  Other / Meta / Re: Why do people post "Reserving (language) translation"? on: December 16, 2017, 05:42:03 PM
Seems like a ridiculous way to decide who translates it. Why don't they just pay to have it professionally translated by someone reliable?
Because getting people to do it on the forum is cheaper. Similar to the shitty signature campaigns that the majority of these ICOs run, they probably couldn't care less how reliable the translation is so long as it's getting their name in more places.
283  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Make your own Christmas Snowman wallet! on: December 16, 2017, 05:33:20 PM
He literally gave the model/make of the round, why should he have to say I did not design this?
'Frosty the Snowman Merry Christmas' isn't a make or model, it's a description. When all of OgNasty's coins are sold with their descriptions (other than the NastyFans coins and Binary rounds) it is very easy to assume that this is another coin with a similar naming style.
If he said 'This is a Jmbullion round' or something like that - like he has agreed to do in the future - then your argument would be valid.

If he did it on a coin that you knew you would have no qualms correct?
Incorrect. Don't make silly assumptions.
284  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Make your own Christmas Snowman wallet! on: December 16, 2017, 01:48:39 PM
Next time I auction a themed coin, I’ll make sure to include the link to purchase the coin from jmbullion without the hologram/engraving for those who don’t recognize popular themed rounds.
I am happy with this outcome, thanks.
285  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Make your own Christmas Snowman wallet! on: December 16, 2017, 01:35:38 AM
Then do it.  Nobody forced you to bid on my auction, and you didn't.
The classic "You didn't transact with me and therefore can't criticize me" argument. Solid.

This witch hunt of yours is getting so old...
That aged quickly. I haven't said anything proper in a few months.

Was Kialara a scammer when he added to a $100 bill and sold it?
Did Kialara try to mislead the people buying it to believe that he made the $100 bill? You're comparing apples and oranges.

Get a life dude.
That's rather bold. Though, I suppose you can live a rather nice life making $500 each time selling '1-of-1' coins that you failed to disclose you didn't make.

Enjoy the holidays.
You too, buy yourself something nice. Smiley

You could go through all this trouble
And save all that money.

I made using a $5,000 engraver
Or use a printed QR code/written private key to achieve the same effect. If you actually wanted to load the address - which I somewhat doubt.

and a securely generated vanity address
That is less secure than split key.

with a hologram showing who secured it.
And completely void of any mention of the original creator/mint of the coin (or any mention that there is an original creator/mint), on both the coin and the thread its self.
287  Economy / Collectibles / Make your own Christmas Snowman wallet! on: December 16, 2017, 12:28:21 AM
Have you missed out on OgNasty's auction? Was the highest bid just too much for you? Not to worry, here is a simple solution!

Step 1 - the coin:
Don't own a fancy engraver, or know a mint willing to work with you? Do not worry, you can just buy the coin off Ebay for around $30.

Step 2 - the address:
Do you want that fancy 1Frosty address that looks so cool? Never fear, Vanitygen is the application for you!
What's that? You don't have a good enough computer? Do not worry, you can just pay someone else to do it for you! This has the added bonus of no one knowing your private key.

Step 3 - the hologram:
"What about the Hologram?", you ask, "Surely that makes it worth the $500 pricetag?". Think again! You can purchase your very own personal holograms from Aliexpress for as low as $1 per unit.

So what am I paying for?
You are bidding for the beautifully cut NastyFans OgNasty hologram. That still makes it a 1-of-1, right?
288  Other / Meta / Re: Need help with Unlock---Please on: December 12, 2017, 11:14:04 AM
So, it's not posted in an unedited thread but on your hacked profile that can easily be changed?
There's an address posted here. Not sure if OP would be able to sign from it though.
289  Other / Meta / Re: Politics & Society Forum has become off topic. on: December 12, 2017, 10:46:01 AM
Take a look at this thread in Politics & Society - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2423191.0 ...
Don't you know that anime is a matter in congress?

In all seriousness this is starting to get beyond a joke. If theymos doesn't do something about it soon the majority of this forum will be unusable.
290  Other / Meta / Re: Images in posts disabled for newbies on: December 11, 2017, 01:27:47 PM
You're supporting account trade by blocking image posting form newbies in announcement thread. There are lots of people creating an account here just in order to introduce their projects. And once they register here they see, that there is no way for them to create a beautiful and attracting announcement. This is how the start searching for an account to buy to post from. And here is where this shitty story with account trade and scams begins. So why do you do this? Can anyone explain this to me?
Because trolls used to make new accounts to spam the forum with shock images, and this was the best way to stop it.

Also, why would someone risk getting scammed by some scummy account dealer when you can just buy Copper Member for 0.003BTC?
291  Economy / Reputation / Re: Looking for thread URLs suspected of signature abuse on: December 11, 2017, 08:17:14 AM
Thank you for the links and explanation! As for Lauda, what is the reason to be suspicious?  I assume there is a theory here... I can imagine a few but I haven't seen evidence of anything at this point with any campaigns being run by Lauda. I'm all ears Grin
That Lauda is the antichrist, and therefore everything they do must be filled with sockpuppets and shills - said by one of the most prolific sockpuppeteers on the forum.

294  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Bitcointalk Ebay store on: December 09, 2017, 04:49:41 PM
A lot of people here have been burned by Ebay/Paypal for selling Bitcoin related items, mostly funded. There's a fairly solid chance that the account would be suspended if this was attempted.
295  Other / Meta / Re: Google is locking Tor users out of Bitcointalk.org! on: December 08, 2017, 09:09:01 PM
The problem comes in the lack of a viable alternative. Google's captcha sucks for several reasons, but it's one of the few captchas on the market that offer a good anti-bot solution for free.
I'm sure that theymos would be happy to implement an another provider if one was provided; I can't imagine he too much likes Google monitoring the site.
296  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Directory.io - Now with balances! on: December 04, 2017, 12:47:22 PM
I did a test added 2 privkeys with small amount of satoshis to test out this guy... and guess what, he took 1600+ and 1200+ satoshis!!!!
You mean that someone took BTC from you when you gave away your private key? What a shocker.
297  Other / Meta / Re: Post Allowance And How to make a Good Stable Profile In bitcointalk on: December 01, 2017, 09:21:34 AM
You're not off to a good start.

What you need to think about before you post is - "Could someone with half a brain post something better than this?". If the answer is yes, which for your other two posts it is, then don't post it.
298  Other / Meta / Re: Moving to Cloudflare on: December 01, 2017, 09:16:22 AM
The security implications are that Cloudflare can read everything you send to or receive from the server, including your cleartext password and any PMs you send or look at.
If this is the case, I think that now would be a good time to implement this plugin or something similar to keep accounts secure, should another Cloudbleed happen. It's well overdue regardless.

Have you thought about maybe creating your own ddos protection service as from your concerns it seems like there'd be a gap in the market for a trusted product? ... Could even use the money we get from any potential new donator ranks we implement to invest in it. Something to consider at least.
This is something that I would happily support with my BTC. Please consider this, theymos.

if you care so much about "our" community, why am I banned from chat forever? i didn't do anything wrong.
From what I can gather you were warned several times for one word messages in the chat, over a period of several months. You also seem to have broken other rules in the past, along with being a general turd around the chat. I don't even know the full extent of your offenses, but from what I can see you were given several warnings and opportunities to fix your behaviour and you chose to ignore them.

Funnily enough, when you do things that are against the rules, you get punishment for them. If you continue doing them, the punishment will get worse. Perhaps you were unaware of that.

lutpin baned me forever for no reason
Forever isn't as long as you think.
300  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: MiniFaucet Script (a MyFaucet replacement) on: November 30, 2017, 06:48:06 AM
Hello, I've seen this script from faucet script blog, I want to try this faucet but I've got an error (I don't why).
I didnt change anything except the database details.
But, when I check my domain it says
That's just the generic page that the browser shows when there is a PHP error, which is what this likely is. However, without seeing the error message it'd be near impossible to fix.

Do you have an error_log file? If not, can you put the things into your .htaccess file?
