401  Economy / Auctions / Re: Selling Domain TradeBitcoinForUsd.com on: August 29, 2017, 03:40:56 PM
I would be very surprised if you got anywhere near $1500 for a domain that long.
402  Other / Meta / Re: Q: Should hilariousandco *really* be a moderator of bitcointalk A: no on: August 28, 2017, 06:59:11 PM
Let me make one thing very clear, you have not left negative trust against any of my unknown alts now or previous as of when I owned them. Furthermore, the amount of money you have cost me in any way is exactly zero. I do not stand to profit in anyway from your removal from the default trust network other than the fact that the trust system and marketplace would have more credibility.
It is hard to believe anything that you say when you have lied so freely in the past.
403  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lauda/TMAN/minifrij extortion attempt on: August 28, 2017, 03:11:29 PM
You are a bad person.
A bit hypocritical, isn't it?

Lol, I find it hilarious how easy it is for some people to troll zepher:D
404  Economy / Reputation / Re: USER ( THE PHARMACIST ) IS BULLYING USERS on: August 28, 2017, 12:21:28 AM
Press the 'Ignore' button underneath the user's picture if you don't like what they're posting. The forum has no reason to mollycoddle you.
405  Economy / Auctions / Re: AUCTION 24h - Physical 1 MONERO coin, Lealana on: August 28, 2017, 12:16:54 AM
Post a bigger image.
Your current image and it's quality is screaming - SCAM.
If you don't want people to thing like this, make a proper/big image with a written date and your username on paper next to the coin.
You can see a better image here. While a timestamp would be nice, it isn't always necessary. In this case, since the user would have to send the coin to you/an escrow prior to receiving funds there isn't much you can lose monetarily.
406  Other / Meta / Re: Why does the Technical Support forum continue to be spammed by suspicious links? on: August 28, 2017, 12:07:44 AM
This sort of spam has been going on all over the forum for a long time now. Just ignore it and the staff will take care of it.
407  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [EDU] Faucet risks on: August 28, 2017, 12:05:19 AM
What about paid link shorteners (BTC.ms or coin.mg for example)? Would those be conidered referal spam?
See rule number 5:
"No link shortners that requires users to view an ad."
408  Economy / Collectibles / Re: FOR SALE: First ever full silver physical Moneroj on: August 27, 2017, 06:52:51 PM
100XMR is roughly 3BTC..
At least it's a step down from the stupid amount he wanted before. Maybe in a few months he'll come back to planet earth and take something realistic.
409  Other / Meta / Re: Why a suspicious person is being allowed to continue in DT on: August 27, 2017, 05:35:31 PM
For those that can't gather, the OP is talking about Lauda.

If you want to know why they are on DT, ask Blazed and/or hilariousandco why they have Lauda on their trust lists using PM. I can't imagine that both parties will read here.
If you want to know why they aren't off DT, ask any other DT1 member (other than OgNasty) as to why they haven't removed Lauda from their trust list. Once again, you should do so through PM as there is a next to zero chance that all of the parties involved will read this thread.

Yet another useless spam thread made by some sock-puppet of someone negatively tagged. With this and signature spammers, what an awesome forum this has become.
410  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lauda/TMAN/minifrij extortion attempt on: August 26, 2017, 10:40:36 AM
To me it looks like there is no consensus among the community members. You can try to dismiss this with personal attacks, but I dont think it will change someones mind. Then again, maybe my understand of 'the community' differs from yours.
If people agreed with QS then Lauda and TMAN would have recieved more negatives than just yours. Don't you agree?
411  Economy / Collectibles / Re: AUCTION: 2014 Casascius St. Petersburg Coin on: August 25, 2017, 07:38:18 PM

412  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why not neg all the lenders who accept bitcointalk accounts as valid collateral on: August 25, 2017, 02:58:36 PM
What is the "big" differences between them and account farmers.
While I don't agree with it taking accounts as collateral, especially for uses such as Gunthar's, does not inherently negatively affect the forum or it's atmosphere. Account farmers usually spam shit to benefit themselves financially, ruining the forum's usefulness and atmosphere.

I wonder how long it will take before QS replies here.
413  Other / Meta / Re: Process for changing username? on: August 25, 2017, 01:58:48 AM
I am join this forum last few days. now my position is newbie. in this position i change my username.
have any way can i change my username.
Please sagest me.
Ditch this account and create a new one. There is no chance of you getting a name change without donating 10BTC.
Not like you'll be losing much.
414  Other / Meta / Re: Help with login on this forum on: August 24, 2017, 01:33:46 AM
To PREVENT this from ever happening again, get a program called ROBOFORM!!! https://www.roboform.com/
It's FREE for the FIRST TEN UserNames and PassWords (I think!)
Or just use Keepass, which is free for as many passwords as you would like to put into it.
415  Other / Meta / Re: Process for changing username? on: August 21, 2017, 10:16:52 PM
theymos does grant name changes, however these are fairly few and far between. You can ask, but without a Donator tag there is not a 100% chance that it will be granted.
416  Other / Meta / Re: special sign like 🔥🔥🔥 on: August 21, 2017, 04:23:27 PM
Not sure that works, the forum uses an image proxy so it caches your image. You won't get a reliable number for views, geographical data, etc.
I believe that one of the reasons the image proxy was implemented was to stop this, after this incident. The only way to check the number of views is to use the counter built into the forum, however that is not very reliable.

Alongside that, it is rather silly to host emojis when they are available for use in unicode.
417  Other / Meta / Re: Hosting? on: August 21, 2017, 12:47:04 PM
Does that mean Expiration Date: 2023-06-24 this forum bitcointalk.org will end in 6 years left?
Whether the expiry date can still be extended again?
No, it doesn't mean that the forum will end. The domain was likely renewed for 10 years in 2013, meaning that those 10 years will have passed in 2023. The domain can be renewed again after this expiration date is passed.
418  Other / Meta / Re: Hosting? on: August 21, 2017, 12:39:39 PM
You are wrong. Stop confusing people.
The AWS instance is the reverse proxy.
By using the words 'According to this source' I was showing that I was going off the best information we have currently. I wasn't implying that it is fact.
Work on your comprehension.
419  Other / Meta / Re: Hosting? on: August 21, 2017, 12:15:24 PM
According to this source, the forum is hosted using AWS or a similar Amazon service.

All that tells you is that the domain is registered at (I assume) Namecheap. It tells you nothing about the hosting of the site.
420  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: minerjones backing out of multiple auctions [endorsed/condoned by blazed] on: August 16, 2017, 10:06:31 PM
Why is collecting dox necessarily a bad thing?
To me, it is not so much the act of doing it than the person doing it.
If it were someone that I trusted collecting doxs, perhaps I would not feel so strongly against it. However with users like Quickseller and defcon23 that have been known to use backwards tactics in trying to get their own way in the past, I would not feel comfortable with people like that having my information and freely being able to do things with it.

Perhaps someone else can explain it properly, I feel that I am doing a fairly piss poor job at explaining why I feel the way I do.

Or why does someone not have a right to do that?
Perhaps I worded it incorrectly. I agree that anyone has the right to do that, as in they can. I do not agree that everyone should do that.

Public info is public, unless you're talking SS#s and whatnot.
While the definition of a dox is that it is made up of public information, this is not always the case. If I post a package to someone with my address and they then take that address and give it to others without my permission, that isn't me making my information public however it leads to the same end point.

I wouldn't care if someone had my dox--in fact the people I've done PayPal deals with DO have my real name & address.  Why would I care?  I'm just curious.
It's a general uneasiness for me in regards to other people holding information that is somewhat personal to me, as I have stated above. It should also be noted that some value their privacy much more than others, and therefore having their dox passed around could be a drop in the ocean to a tsunami depending on who's dox it is.
