Totally correct. I have to congratulate myself. It is clear who are idiots. The whole trust system lacks credibility. Someone have removed the fucking Lauda as DT member prove it. Later someone add him back further shows that corruption exists.
Seems that you and kiklo have more in common, in that you both are completely incapable of quitting the forum when you say you're going to.
I don't mind being red tagged or banned as I am quitting the forum as well.
I'll help you out, since you seem to be having issues following through. Go to this page, press 'Generate Password' and copy it. Next, go to this page and paste the strong password into the boxes that say 'Choose Password' and 'Verify Password'. After that, enter your current password in the 'Current Password' box. Press the 'Change Profile' button. Finally, press the 'Logout' button and turn off the computer.

Hope I helped.  Smiley

Put a starting bid, minimum increment and end date if you want to make an auction. Otherwise, report your post to the mods to move it to Digital Goods.

The same goes with your other auction too.
463  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lauda Is a Stirrer and wants the bitcoin community to be fragmented on: July 18, 2017, 04:53:36 PM
This is another example of the fact that you are too immature to see that many have issues with your ratings and behavior.
Do you think that you are in any position to criticize someone on this? Look at your trust page. Do you think that people are fine with your behavior?

You have no rebuttals to any of my statements.....didn't think so....
Likewise, with the sheer number of rebuttals from myself that you have flat out ignored you are in no place to comment on this.

In fact, I have a suspicion that you have put me on your ignore list for this reason. If you can't see me, I don't exist, right? Wink

A negative rating is for scammers, and for scammers only.
This is false, but if you genuinely believe that then you only have to do two things to prove it.
1. Call yourself a scammer. Your account and all known alts of yours have received negative trust. If you genuinely believe that negative trust indicates a scammer, then you therefore are one and would have no problem admitting it.
2. Explain why you left these ratings in the past, when these users are not scammers and weren't believed to be.

#3 I also have notice that Lauda is very quick to leave a negative rating against someone simply because a scam accusation has been opened, even when no proof beyond a persons word has been presented, and the person has responded and is disputing the accusation. This vastly puts the accused at a disadvantage, may cause the accused to not further defend himself, and if the accused was actually the one scammed, may result in the scammer getting away with their credibility intact.
As far as I'm aware (however I'm sure you'll provide a singular example to prove me wrong), these are hypotheticals. It is very unlikely that the person will not try to defend themselves, and if proper proof is provided I trust that Lauda will remove or replace the negative trust with something more suiting for the situation.

#4 Lauda is an extortionist, who has refused to publicly address the extortion claim publicly. He even leaves negative trust against people who bring up the extortion topic as a means to silence those that criticize him.
Provide examples of this.

I will just leave this here:
Lol, I find it hilarious how easy it is for some people to troll zepher:D
465  Other / Meta / Re: [FUD] What is with the hacked accounts epidemic ? on: July 16, 2017, 01:49:28 AM
Seems we disagree about what is more important, functionality or appearance.
In this case it is important to keep both in mind.

Having the forum check automatically would be a nice feature in my opinion.
And I agree with you. However, your implementation is flawed in my opinion.

If "idiots" don't understand the red link and are scared off by it, I'd say that's better than them being hacked.
Firstly, the idiots are not those who misunderstand what the forum shows. People believe that negative trust makes people a scammer, when this is not the case. However, assuming as such does not make them an idiot, simply misinformed. The idiots are those who do not take proper care to secure their accounts and therefore pay the price.

Secondly, I don't agree that it would be better. By potentially conditioning people to be scared of every link they press we are not helping the matter. Rather than checking the link themselves, they will automatically assume that every link is evil and they do not click on it.
So, with this, what happens when the same user realizes not every link is evil? Have they learned to check the link before clicking it, or have they been shown that every link is of the same standard (evil)? If the latter, why would this change when they believe that every link isn't evil?
By making every outgoing link look evil we aren't solving anything, rather putting off the issue until people have more to lose. By having a page that says 'This link is not an official Bitcointalk link. Be sure that you trust it before entering any personal information.', we are not conditioning people to be scared, rather to second check where they are putting their information into. However, this implementation brings it's own issues which I mentioned earlier.

However, from an advertising driven business perspective I can understand the reason we don't have a "semi-scare mongering" protection in place.  It also sends you down the slippery slope of protecting users from scams, which has already been labeled an impossible task.
While this may be a concern during implementation, I personally couldn't care less about theymos' (or the site's) advertising revenue. I also fail to see how your second point is a negative.

That is why I think the only answer here is to educate users, but so often they are insulted and belittled instead.
And what will we be educating to them? That every link not on Bitcointalk is evil? I don't think that's a particularly good message.

Regarding the insulting, I am a firm believer that realizing your mistake is the best way to not do it again. While it may be kicking them when they're down and not the nicest thing to do, if you allow your account to be hacked you are an idiot and you should be told that. While I understand it is not your point, telling them that 'it could happen to anyone' or something similar doesn't help them realize their mistake. No one likes to be called an idiot, and it is likely that people would do what they can to avoid it. If they are an idiot for allowing their account to be compromised, then they will likely do what they can to not do that again.

It should also be kept in mind that these are all just my personal feelings though, so I may be incorrect. I'm not a psychologist.

...
It's getting late; I'll reply in the morning.
466  Other / Meta / Re: [FUD] What is with the hacked accounts epidemic ? on: July 15, 2017, 08:02:11 PM
I think the only way to combat this problem is to change the hover color of off-site links to red, warning users they're going off-site.  As opposed to the current green highlight when they stay on-site.  This would give unsuspecting users a fighting chance against the issue.
I disagree. If idiots don't check the URL then they won't check if the link colour is red. It would also be semi-scare mongering; not every link not on the domain bitcointalk.org is dangerous. Colouring them in red makes it seem as such.

The best way to go about it would be something similar to what hilariousandco suggested:
I've suggested theymos implement a redirect notice/landing page that tells you when you're going off site and to check the url carefully etc. Will stop a lot of these attacks.
but doing this would take away resources from a forum that has already had to have it's functionality cut back to run properly.

QuickSeller that is bullshit and i don't buy it.
No claim was ever made by staff here that hashed passwords were stolen.
cough.

And even if they were i highly doubt anyone is reversing them.
Why? If people bruteforce Minecraft accounts, why wouldn't they with accounts that could make them hundreds-millions of dollars?

Not one guy showed up to say hey mine was like fort knox.
As matter of fact i never seen one guy bring up the issue at all.
This guy was pretty adamant that it wasn't his fault, if he would fit into either of those.

They seem to all be noob accounts
Because they make new accounts, since their old ones have been hacked.

then they post almost using a formula or template.
Because there is a template to follow (sorta). There aren't many ways you can jazz up 'My account has been hacked can I have my password reset'.

Unless the passwords are stored on theymos's servers in plain text i call bullshit on most of you.
They were hashed using 7500 rounds of sha256crypt, but if the password is weak then this will be broken eventually.

Most are probably involved in chargeback type shenanigans.
I don't know about most, but some most certainly.

And yeah my password is tough i just said so..
Why should that matter if all these people are being hacked ?
If they are being hacked then it wouldn't matter what the password is then right ?
THAT was my point.
It makes a few million years of a difference what the password is. Do you have any idea what you're talking about?

i have 0 worries.
No one is going to be hacking my account.
Good. I should hope not.

Oh and and.. why doesn't the site block users if they are brute forcing passwords ?
Does that happen here ? If not why ?
Because they don't use the site. They get a 'random' string of characters and hash it with 7500 rounds until the hashes match.* If they do, then that string is most likely the password. You don't need to even be connected to the internet to do that.

*It's not quite that simple, but it's essentially how it works.

No site in this day & age should let users sit there and try and bruteforce the password.
theymos told people to change their passwords to something strong. There is nothing more that he can do without an upgrade to the forum software.

That is feedback that Lauda has given to other users, not feedback they have recieved. Notice how the name 'Lauda' doesn't appear in your quote?

E: Oh, you deleted your post. Whoopsie-doodles.
468  Other / Meta / Re: Is online chat is okay to have in this Board? on: July 14, 2017, 01:08:26 PM
I am somewhat disappointed that the wall observer thread didn't get moved to a chat room style sub. I think it would have been a great opportunity to test a potential solution to the signature spam problem that we have currently.
I must say that I agree. I certainly don't think it would be the be all and end all in terms of signature spam, but allowing people to make shitty posts without it affecting the rest of the forum certainly sounds like it would help.

We could get around the problem with trolls in this kind of thread by requiring users to have a certain small amount of activity before being able to post.
Unfortunately I don't think that this would help too much. People could simply farm up accounts or buy them in order to get in, and with little supervision it would be easy for them to do so. This would be the main issue of a board such as that IMO.
469  Economy / Reputation / Re: A warning about user "Arcteryx", trying to play the victim and blackmailing on: July 14, 2017, 01:03:16 PM
Wait, where is minifrij's involvement in this? I couldn't find anything.
I don't get involved with shitty ICOs, so there is nothing to find. I think it was just another one of his hilarious quips.

I thought what we had was special  Cry
Don't worry, I was only playing with him. My heart is only for you, Clyde. <3
470  Economy / Reputation / Re: A warning about user "Arcteryx", trying to play the victim and blackmailing on: July 14, 2017, 12:04:04 AM
-Cut all the BULLSHIT from the best BULLSHITTER AROUND THIS MOTHERFUCKER! Tongue-
Love you too, sweetheart.

No but aleast I was productive enough in a day at work unlike you who troll the forum and was probably online all day today because you got no job fucker! Angry
Woe is me. I can't believe that instead of flipping burgers for minimum wage, I can code and play video games all day while enjoying myself. What a shit life I lead. Cry

You don't realize how much of a fool you look right now! Just waiting for my retaliation response back to the photoshop that took out an hour of you life to do! Roll Eyes
It took me probably about 2 minutes from finding the image to posting it here. However, from what I can see it seems you're lacking in some departments, so I can see why it could take you longer.

Mine took nothing more than a minute to do and I used paint. So no sweat on me.
"I made something shitty in under a minute, I'm so cool!"

Shame people such as yourself don't contribute to society and get off your ass and go to work thinking you have "a job" patrolling the forums and making bits here.
I've actually suggested that people don't use the forum as a job in the past. Believe it or not, I am also a person. Try to keep up.

What a waste of a life.  Sad
If that's what I'm classed as, I would hate to hear your self reflection.

I really feel sorry for you mum who still has a grown ass man living in her basement and only comes out to gather food and then back in front of his monitor to see what the next battle is on the bctalk forums.
I'll be sure to pass on your feelings.

Oh how adventurous and productive your day has been! Congratulations to you!  On being a complete moron.  Angry
Ouch, you sure got me.

And no I am not trying to be funny you fucking fool! Cheesy
In that case, it makes things even funnier.

I've had my fun. I'll leave you guys to take over with this bag o' laughs.
471  Economy / Reputation / Re: A warning about user "Arcteryx", trying to play the victim and blackmailing on: July 13, 2017, 01:50:19 PM
Going for the throat is different in your country of Austria or Germany or where ever you want to place yourself to be on any given day.
Lutpin has never said seriously that he is from Austria. I have no idea what you're talking about.

The internet is such a lovely place for the ones who wish to stay hidden isn't it? Roll Eyes
Certainly. It also lets people like yourself escape being bullied by the big kids IRL and allows feel like you're actually a big man for once.
What a wonderful invention the internet is.

I remember a time where you were crying saying you were on the verge of taking your own life.
I don't. Care to refresh my memory?

Wow that dox really got to you. ... It has been well over a year now since your doxxing has it? Embarrassed
You're funny. The sad thing is that I can't even tell if you're trying to be.

I ALWAYS go for the jugular(it is considered part of the throat. Roll Eyes) when I use a close fisted karate chop on ALL my opponents in my martial arts class.

You probably have no idea how lame you sound right now.
472  Economy / Reputation / Re: Jamal's overwhelming managed altcoin campaign on: July 13, 2017, 01:45:52 AM
Almost all ICO projects are not escrowed.
Then stop joining shitty ICOs and supporting their existence here. This goes for both any bounties/campaigns they have and the ICOs themselves.
473  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Auction closed] 0.5 & 1 BTC funded 2014 NOLAcoin on: July 13, 2017, 12:46:53 AM
Since three weeks has passed and greenplastic doesn’t seem inclined to post the transaction id or the messages from the scammer in this thread (or in PM?), I feel I can withdraw my offer for some reimbursement of the allegedly stolen coins.
Disgusting.
474  Other / Meta / Re: The forum is not so good on: July 12, 2017, 01:39:01 AM
Thank you for your incredible insight. Please, don't go any more in depth with what you think is wrong here.
475  Other / Meta / Re: My trust page page does not load on: July 12, 2017, 12:12:42 AM
I wonder if Theymos could "cache" the current trust in a database table rather than recalculating it each time.  Then it would just as fast, since the database would just be looking up another number.
I was going to suggest this, but it would be impossible to do for all users. By caching server side, you could only cache one certain trust list configuration and therefore the trust scores would be inaccurate for a large portion of those who actively use the system to it's full potential.

How difficult would it be to add a +, -, or blank for positive, negative, neutral members respectively? Would that be too slow, even still?
Not too experienced with dealing this kind of thing but even a change like this SHOULD accelerate it, right?
It would still have to perform the same calculations it was previously, it would just be outputting less information with it. It'd be the worst of both worlds.

Perhaps a solution could be that the trust scores would be hidden by default (as they are currently) with an expand arrow. Once the arrow is pressed, a request is sent to the server and that user's trust score is calculated and outputted. This would allow trust pages to be loaded quickly and would likely keep server load low, but could also allow for more in-depth analysis easily.
476  Economy / Reputation / Re: Mexxer-2 on: July 09, 2017, 01:20:33 AM
Why did Lutpin and Lauda leave negs for Mexxer-2?
It just says that Mexxer-2 owes Lutpin money.

I happened upon his feedback page after removing a negative from some account bidder after it'd been a year, and I had some mercy on him.  There's no reference links or anything.
From what I understand, it was a private deal between Lutpin and mexxer. Hence, there is no reference to be given.

Is Mexxer-2 still on DT?
Yes.

I don't know who has him in their trust list.
Blazed.

And then he hasn't been active in a few months.  It's all very strange.
IMO a person's activity nor trust rating is relevant when trying to find if they should stay in DT, not unless someone else on DT is willing to go through each of the ratings that person has left and replace them. By removing people like mexxer (and also users like xetsr) from DT because of a scam, you would be opening the doors for previously tagged scammers to come back and try again.
477  Economy / Reputation / Re: LAUDA IS OFF DT! EVERYONE CELEBRATE! on: July 09, 2017, 01:11:03 AM
If what Lauda says about Yudai is true, then Yudai would not be a scammer.
This is completely false. By using automated translation tools to translate into languages like Japanese you are providing a sub-par translation. By doing what he is doing, he is giving a sub-par product and trying to take payment for it. That is a scam.

Regardless however, negative trust does not make you a scammer.

The only think we know with certainty about Ryland is that the account changed hands, which certainly does not make the person (currently) behind the account a scammer.
If the original owner was put onto DT and/or received trust on the forum, then only the original owner should be allowed to keep these things in tact. If the account has changed hands, it is no longer under the person that was added to DT in the first place and is therefore not fit to be on there (unless proven otherwise). The same applies for trust.
478  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Gravitate selling "FUNDED" coins that are NOT FUNDED on: July 08, 2017, 11:08:25 PM
Either contact me directly to sort out (the chap already did which is cool) or just leave me negative feedback.
I honestly have no idea who you're replying to here. It appears that you've already been contacted. Have you not?

With the 10- 40 usd from each coin I made I must be loaded. If I scammed your bitcoin it amounts to like 100k EUR approximately.
Amount scammed is irrelevant.

Well I earn that in 18 Months
I'll bet you have a really big dick too.

Sometimes its like dealing with my kids. Oh and just one thing when I do get negative feedback I will not come on here again which means you will have to ask the older members my identity and get the police to come visit me. I will not entertain trolls and my identity is 100% public.
It's pretty funny how you say that people are acting like kids, then go on to say something so insanely immature.

Get a grip and deal with your own problems like an adult, rather than running away and getting others to try and follow up on something you should have done in the first place. If you have loaded your coins then prove it, rather than telling people to 'get the police to come and visit you', and if you haven't then you should do so immediately.
479  Other / Meta / Re: Lauda should not be in DT2 ::::: Agree ? Yes : FuckOff on: July 08, 2017, 04:52:03 PM
Was there more than one case? Can you back this up? I have read previous incident, but I didn't find any other. I am not very active in 'Scam Accusations' board now. I could have missed it if there was any.
There was a case against defcon23 that wasn't really anything, mainly just defcon and Quickseller coming together to mutually talk bad of the incident. It's also important to note that both defcon and Quickseller are blackmailers/extortionists themselves, so it is the pots calling the kettle black at best.

I also think you may have been around for it, however I may be wrong - here is the link.

480  Other / Meta / Re: BAN ALL SIG CAMPAIGNS on: July 08, 2017, 01:36:22 PM
If I had my way any problem campaign would be given a warning and would have few days to clean up their campaign and PM me a list of removed users. If people were still spamming/copying and pasting etc all their bounty and announcement threads would be trashed and their accounts would be banned.
If I may ask, why don't you have your way?

I don't think that this proposal is something controversial, especially considering that these campaigns are incentivising people to break the rules of the forum.
When those of a higher power have shown by lack of action that they couldn't care less about this, does it not then fall to the responsibility of the next in power (yourself and other global moderators/staff members) to take action?
