281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you feeling FOMO like I am? on: December 06, 2023, 11:01:43 PM
Anyone else feeling same way?
I saw Bitcoin at  $69k , + $16k,  and now $44k . I don't think I have an inch of fear of missing out. I have been here , I am here and I will still be here doing my biweekly DCA bull or bear season. Bitcoin will most definitely hit $50k on or before December 31st
282  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is not very easy; it took my friend a long time to understand. on: December 06, 2023, 09:29:46 PM
Well, no one actually sees trading very easy to learn. Everyone starts with a scratch and seen struggling learning in it's first weeks, months and year. And that is normal in trading. The important thing is, you learned trading even if the process is not smooth but tough. The fact that you learned it the hard way, the sweeter the profits you will soon to bear.

Good to hear your friend has learned the basics now with the help of this forum. You know, one who desires to invest or trade, there's always high rate of success if they start learning from the experiences of the old members in the forum. At least, they're legit and not just ready made stories and experiences.
Learning a new skill cannot be easy. If it is easy then the person isn't learning anything. Trading is hard if you have no background in working in investment banks or the big 4 or other financial institutions. It usually starts hard and then get easy as you climb up and add more knowledge.

This forum is a value tool and good to know that the OP's friend was able to make the best of it. It doesn't just stop there though after learning the basics he has to go further and learn how be emotionally resilient. A trader must be in control of his emotions and not allow his emotions lord over him.

284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beginner needs your advices in gambling. on: December 06, 2023, 07:41:46 PM
I’m a new member here, and I want to gamble on online casinos. I found some good trusted casinos. And I want to begin with a game with a low budget. First, I need your suggestions about the best games, slots. Live casino for a beginner.
Do you think Me starting gambling would effect me in my real life or make me addicted to gambling. What’s you suggestion and advices.
AVOID PUNTERS LIKE YOU WOULD AVOID COVID.
This is for sports betting if you intend to explore that aspect of gambling. Punters lie. They are deceivers. Every other week they will share pictures of their bet slip winnings or codes unbeknown to you that they work hand in hand with the sportsbook. More naive sports bettors will rush to that sports book and bet and lose woefully.

There are many other stories about these folks. Stay away from them online and offline.
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you deal with high transaction fee on BTC on gambling? on: December 06, 2023, 05:55:42 PM

How do you deal with this problem?

Have you tried converting to at least usdt? I think most casinos have such option for deposit and you won't have the issue of high fee with stablecoin.
This is the solution to the problem. Used other cryptocurrencies that is accepted by the casinos. As a gambler you have to think like a business person which is to keep your expenses very low. It makes no sense to spend more on transaction fee if there are cheaper alternatives. You can learn how to use other cryptocurrencies like Ethereum and Litecoin, and also USDT mentioned above.

Bet smartly.
286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Do You Convince Someone On Something That Will Not Work on: December 06, 2023, 04:39:44 PM
We all know Martingale will not work in the long run, should I let him find out himself but that will incur a heavy loss in this case.  Cry
Or should I discourage him by showing him videos, articles, and testimonials?
Let him find out for himself. Trying to discourage him or talk him out of his plan will strengthen his resolve to want to go further. The irony here is that if it should work out for him the first time, he will do it again and again until he faces a huge loss but if he losses the first time, he'll hang his head in shame and agree that you were right.

If you know the say he intends to execute his plan, be there with him and don't say a word. Maybe your presence will play a small role in discouraging him from overdoing it.
287  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: December 05, 2023, 09:11:51 PM
I have experienced this just once but since then I have not had that issue. And remembering it now and saying to myself that I was to be blamed for the issue. What casinos should do is to make try as much as possible to make the KYC requirement to be a prerequisite for funding the and playing. This way it will not seem like the casino is being shady. It removes confusions and make the gambler aware from the onset what is expected of him before he can make full use of the casino features.
288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sympathetic gamblers looses itself on: December 05, 2023, 08:26:41 PM
I have seen some facial expression gamblers that I am emotionally touched about and feels they have loosed more than they can handle and feels they deserves an condolence winning. While I empathic with him his amount of lost, I am then to consoling myself that someone on here has lost more than I do.

This is exactly how some gamblers runs out of gambling budgets and goes bankrupt because they fails to figure what their net worth or incomes value is.

They are basically to believe one who lost $20 has lost more to them who looses $10.
Between remorse, guilt, pain, and anger I wonder which is strongest felt when a gambler losses or even realizes that they have just gambled way their life's savings or money that was supposed to be used for something important. If you have ever been in a bet shop what you will soon realize is that these emotions are but fleeting. They do last up to 30minutes. These gamblers are so full of false hope or disillusion that they believe that they can recover the money they lost if they try again but the story remains the same.
289  Economy / Economics / Re: #HODLing is not a smooth journey on: December 05, 2023, 07:44:52 PM

What about those who until now are still doing well in their accumulation journey if indeed the picture is true that holding is a situation of suffering? not a bit strange but I think it makes less sense, for people who have assumptions like that I think it looks like they are investing with the wrong approach as a result of not really understanding the things that exist in investment especially for all the possibilities that are very likely to occur.

Holding is more a situation of self-denial than suffering. In self-denial especially if you are a student, a salary earner and not a professional investor or venture capitalist, you denial yourself of new watch or a vacation or a new gadget, car or your favourite thing in the world just to invest that piece of it in bitcoin and hold. That is how I understand the picture to be. It is filled with ups and downs. Some months, you don't want feel like denying yourself of that good thing but you do it anyways for the future.
290  Economy / Economics / Re: How to be more effective working remotely. on: December 05, 2023, 07:05:06 PM
I often wake up 30mns before my first meeting to kick off my day. I wear mostly pajamas with a polo/sweater shirt when video calls are necessary. I take naps, run errands, watch TV etc and I’m not dismissing any of my responsibilities and doing a good job at that.

It’s economically more viable for most. I don’t commute an hour each way anymore, I don’t have people up my ass for nonsensical things etc. I love working from home and I’m no less productive. I see many people here simply don’t have much self control over even basic little things. Hopefully that’ll change in time like it did with me.

I do miss being around people. It can get lonely. But worth it.
This is very relatable. I hate remote work sometime. Humans are social being not being with others is frustrating sometimes. At other times, my productivity and efficiency sky-rockets as the distractions are less and I don't have to be bothered about wearing a smily face when I am in no mood for smiling or laughing with anyone.

I also miss commuting to work every morning and back in the evenings. It is this little thing that I find the tinest joys of life. Looking at the faces of the other commuters.

I try to have a daily to-dos. My days starts at 7 in the morning unless the days when I have a meeting with colleagues in a different time zone. I wrap up usually with work by 3pm after finishing up with my tasks.
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin introductory history on: December 05, 2023, 06:37:56 PM
There I learnt about the potentialities of Bitcoin, its goals of aim and objectives at its inventions.
Now I am a passionate Bitcoin lover hoping to make my greatest part of life out from this Bitcoin journey.
I love sweet stories of people investing in Bitcoin. You know, whenever these stories are told, we often forget that it wasn't a straight path. One of the best things that has ever happened to the world is Bitcoin, and it is easy to see because at first, they ignored it; then it started to get more support, and then they tried to shut it down. All other strategies have failed, and we are right now in the phase where they are trying to indirectly own and control it through their Bitcoin ETFs. And this is what makes it all the more exciting.

Investing in Bitcoin is one thing; investing in learning about how to secure your bitcoins is another thing that you must take seriously because people lose their bitcoins more to the loss of their keys than to scammers and hackers.
292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Parental Guild on Bitcoin on: December 05, 2023, 06:08:29 PM
Few Questions I will like to get you own input on

Is buying Bitcoin or cryptocurrency good for Kids?
Yes, as long as it is in the control of an adult. By kids I want to believe you mean 0-18 years old. When they come of age, the the custody of the bitcoin like key phrase can be revealed or released to the kids

Quote
How do you teach a kid to secure Bitcoin incase you are not there?
This is pretty straightforward. Just as I learned to secure my bitcoin. It is not rocket science.

Quote
Should authorities or agencies place age restriction on owning Bitcoin?
Can't and won't happen. If they do it so it defeats the principle of decentralization - control in the hands of the people not any central agency

Furthermore, parents should first teach their kids financial literacy. Which includes, the history of money, savings, investments, budgeting, etc. When the kids get a good hold of this, then they can proceed to teach them about bitcoin
293  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do not take address poisoning as a joke, it is real. on: December 04, 2023, 02:32:01 PM
If you check the address, it will be similar to your address but not you address. Avoid sending coins to the address. I do not know if it happens with bitcoin too, but I have not seen it while sending bitcoin. But if sending any coins, check the address you are sending to, make sure it is the same as the address you are sending to.
Every bitcoin holder should take their security to be the topmost priority. And one of the ways for to be very security conscious is to test small transactions which provides a secure way to confirm that your bitcoin is going to the address it is intended to . And it is recommended for everyone this will ensure that they are familiar with the process and avoid significant losses in case of errors. Another thing to do is to always  double-check transactions if there is an iota of doubt.
294  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is forum reputation enough to influence mixers? on: December 04, 2023, 12:35:25 PM
Since mixers will be soon be rejected on the forum due to the heat they are bringing from the government, do you think that the reputation of the forum and the rejection of these mixers from the forum will be enough to force them to change the way they mix their coins?
Yes.
They are not stupid. There are a thousand and more ways for mixers to go about with their adverts some in very subtle ways and others in newer and less suspicious ways. My stance is that mixers are not bad in itself but the bad elements using them gives them the bad reputation.

They'll change the way they mix their coins and how they tell people about what they do.
295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is anyone concerned about the mempool size? on: December 04, 2023, 11:56:53 AM
Second-layer solutions DO help — it's just that no one has found/publicized an actual viable solution yet. It's unrealistic to think that if bitcoin became an actual backbone of a huge financial system, that no one has yet figured something out for scaling.
I have constantly asked myself how the community would fit in the principle of bitcoin's core principles of decentralization while looking for a solution to the issue of scaling. Since we are in an evolving space we may find the perfect solution to it.

297  Economy / Economics / Re: Idea and money are very important to investment. on: December 01, 2023, 06:31:06 PM
If you have idea on a particular investment, it will help you to follow the straight way that will lead you to some stage that will make you to believe that you are close to your destination of greatness, and if you have money and idea, very easy for you to grow higher in your investment which the two are very important to investors because, you will know the type of business to invest your money which you have the idea that it will bring a good profits to you in the future. Do you believe idea and money are very important in investment? Or can you succeed with money without idea in that investment.
A business plan is basically a document that elaborates on the idea you have to make money through rendering a service or offering goods for sale. Irrespective of how wealthy you are, your business must be built on an idea or sets of ideas. That's why companies have vision and mission statements.
Consequently, I may not have the idea but I have the money and choose to invest in someone else's idea for a piece of equity on the business.
298  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers Signatures : A challenge or Respect on: December 01, 2023, 06:11:45 PM
We as the citizens of planet earth promise you to milk every possible  signature revenue to the last milliseconds allowed and will not forfeit our rights. 😂
This is a good one.

No need to panic now. Even though the members can do whatever they please by removing the avatar, they should wait for the managers who I believe will have the announcement coming out soon.
299  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How does signature Campaign Sponsors make their money on: December 01, 2023, 05:40:33 PM
Often times I keep wondering how signature campaigns sponsors get their funds considering the huge amount of money they pay campaign members of their various Signatures and Avatars because some of the Signature Sponsors Refills their Escrow Funds on a weekly or monthly basis.
Note that signature campaigns are actual business plans for businesses, real companies and organizations. Or if I may say companies with investors, budgets for marketing, sales and all other departments. They are a profit making organization and as such they have a marketing and sales budget some of which strictly goes into signature campaigns.

Maybe you haven't noticed but sometimes, the campaign managers will prune the number of participants in a campaign and their reason will be because the organization is cutting cost or reducing its budget. Something like this happened some weeks back in Shuffle campaign being managed by Little Mouse.

Quote
I want to know to know how advertising their Avatars and Signatures provides funds for the sponsors or is it that they just actually want their Signatures or their Avatars to be advertised to the public?
Signatures campaigns are like ads. There more people visiting the website being advertised and patronizing them because of it.
300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CASHOUT OR NOT???? on: December 01, 2023, 03:03:21 PM
Your topic brings to mind this one already discussed some time ago when the OP has a similar question. You can read about it - Greed or risk. You already know what you want, you can see it through to the end or you can cash out and be happy. If you allow the game to finish playing and end up losing it you may regret it but if you cash out, irrespective of the outcome, you will have no deep regret because you came out with something. Whatever choice you make, please return to give us an update on what outcome was. I'll be looking out for it.
