Grayscale's total assets under management already reach $28.4 billion today.
BTC, ETH, LTC, BCH still dominant in their asset portfolio. LTC was on the 4th before, now become the 3rd large portion on that portfolio. CMIIW.

284  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin hits $40k on: January 08, 2021, 05:53:05 PM
You buy at the ATH lol  Cheesy for sure you are waiting for the price to get back again at $40k to recover but maybe there's nothing to worry market is running good and $40k will be hit again soon, the target price now for speculator is $50k so most provably we can see that price maybe next month or in succeeding months this year.

yeah, I did it for fun. I just want to have a transaction history that I bought bitcoin expensively during the ATH. that's why I bought it with a small amount of money.
I know it's weird hahaha. but, surprisingly the price already back to $40K. it's $41,244.07 now. even higher than when I bought it. thank God!
yeah $50K might be the target for most of the people before a big correction happen.
285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wired Magazine: Mine BTC in 2013 but... on: January 08, 2021, 05:40:27 PM
if someone had a copy of the wallet or keys they would never come forward. they would just resign and go enjoy the half a billion dollar that was dropped in their pocket without letting anyone know. how much bonus are they going to get if they revealed it anyways Cheesy
rise isn't stopping here either, it could reach $1 billion soon.

if someone really had a copy of it, 2017 should be the year we saw some movement on that wallet.
I assume that people who had the copy have weak hands just like a regular crypto enthusiast me.

maybe they just did it for a test, to make editorial content, and destroy the key to add dramatic effects for entertainment purposes on that article  Grin
286  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin hits $40k on: January 08, 2021, 09:06:02 AM
I bought a small amount of BTC at $40K yesterday, it will be well-noted on my transactions history.  Grin
Now, I can say to other people that I bought BTC at ATH price, hahaha..
I used money from the exchange market affiliation program because I got more bonuses this month.
seems like my referral really active during this bullrun.

Now my friends started to contact me on social media. this is an indicator that we are on the way to becoming richer  Grin

Are people buying BTC @ $27000+ idiots?
This question now has a clear answer now.

The answer is NO.

Bitcoin price just hit a new All time high. When I type this post, the Bitcoin price is $39,645.46.

so those "idiots" should gets profits +46.78% by now.

More to come, it could be $40K today, tomorrow, or at least this week, I guess.

He’s a really talented guy, I don’t know why Ole is preferring McTominay or whatever his name is, to VDB. If VDB is to leave then I don’t blame him, he is too good to be an unused sub. The guy was a star for Ajax in the CL, he deserves more of a chance.

He might be talented, but maybe not that special at the moment.
This is his stats on the premier league. Despite his minute's play, this stats is not that impressive.
https://www.premierleague.com/players/11031/Donny-van-de-Beek/stats
I haven't seen him significantly become a core of the united play. it will be difficult for him to get more attention from Ole.
289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 07, 2021, 05:03:13 PM
AC Milan did played a good game but Juventus was much better. Milan failed to deliver the goals. I do believe this years league title would be a competition between AC Milan and Juventus at the end. With Inter and Napoli losing as well, the league would be contested with lower points.

Serie A this season become more attractive for football fans since Juventus is not that over power and rules the league this season. And if you look at the other leagues like EPL and Ligue 1, it’s more competitive too now. No “1 team show”, at least until half of the season. I think covid19 just made all team almost equal 😂.

I will be happy if the winner of this season is not Juventus Grin
Serie A needs to presents a competitive leagues to get back their audiences.
290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Prediction: Manchester United and Manchester City. on: January 06, 2021, 05:08:59 PM
Both teams have a nice track record for their last 5 matches.
When United become an underdog, usually they will win it smoothly.
But we haven't seen their flop from different tournaments yet since the champions league.
So, it could be today too. It's difficult to predict this one. even if you just blindly pick it.

Today is the first real test for United. I wish United to win this match.
Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur would be a good final for me.
291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 06, 2021, 04:32:52 PM
According to ESPN, Manchester City are closely interested in signing Sergio Ramos as a free agent this summer. I know that he is 34 years old but he can still be quite beneficial for big clubs and it could be a nice transfer for Manchester City. It is also a nice opportunity to sign him without paying transfer fee to Real Madrid.

https://www.espn.co.uk/football/soccer-transfers/story/4279645/man-city-monitoring-ramos-contract-talks-at-real-madrid-sources

wait, I read that Tottenham Hotspur is interested to sign him too before.
Bale and Mourinho would be a plus for him if he joins The Spurs.
But.. his problem with Madrid is about money. If Man City is serious about Ramos, they would be on the front row to print him money.

292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: January 06, 2021, 03:20:33 PM
This should be an interesting question for almost all advertisers here.
I do all three, depends on the coins, situations, and my mood.
sometimes I just hold the coins on their platform and do nothing.
I am a seasonal gambler who just bet for fun.

Nothing to lose, if you gamble with money from a signature campaign, unless you are here on this forum just for the money.
293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: January 05, 2021, 04:36:47 PM
Nobody saw that Liverpool defeat coming. I would like it if Manchester United could make a shot at the championship. They have been empty-handed for a few years now.
Although it must be said that they won the Europa league a few years ago. In that regard, Manchester City has never seen anything European performed.

-snip-

Manchester United is different from Liverpool. They are depending too much on Bruno Fernandes and if they fail to change it, they will almost unable to fight for the Premier League trophy at the ends.

-snip-

yeah, you are right, they should rename it to Manchester Fernandez this season. lol.
look at the stats here: https://www.premierleague.com/clubs/12/Manchester-United/stats
goals, assists, passes, shots stats filled with his name, even the most tackles.
if you look at the most passes stats, Harry Maguire is on the top. it shows us how boring united with their back play Grin
294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 05, 2021, 04:16:41 PM
I don't think Thomas Tuchel is that good at PSG, just because he sent PSG to the final last year.
IMO, PSG was just lucky with the drawing. Before the final, they won against RB Leipzig and Atalanta.
But yes, they kicked out my team Manchester United this year, but it's still so so for me Grin
PSG is like a one man team show in ligue 1, it's difficult for a new manager to set a standard to make PSG stronger and better every year.
ligue 1 is not that competitive. but yeah, this year is different. not sure if they become weaker or other teams become stronger.

Tottenham have begun negotiating with Kane for extending his contract. Actually, he still has 3 more years left on his contract but Tottenham must be doing this for fending off the interest from big clubs. I wonder whether he will finish his career here. In my opinion, he could go to Real Madrid or PSG in the future.

somehow, I think Kane will be a United Player. just my feeling, but maybe not this season.
United is a good place for the England National Team strikers.

296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will 2021 become the year of the Lightning Network? on: January 02, 2021, 07:03:37 PM
I see OG Bitcoin and Bitcoin LN as a different thing.
despite what has been written on the whitepaper, the OG Bitcoin now more like a crypto asset.
meanwhile, Bitcoin LN trying to become a solution for people who want to use Bitcoin as a medium of digital transactions.
most people have bitcoin as a medium of investment, as a digital asset. that's why more people hold it rather than spend it.
since the hype leads bitcoin to be an asset, bitcoin LN will only have room for enthusiasts and experimental purposes only.
this is just my opinion.
297  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cash out or HODL - Bitcoin? on: January 02, 2021, 06:17:47 PM
in the last 3 months, I've sold my bitcoin at $11.7K and $15.2K.
I know I had a bad decision on that.
however, I feel less stressed because I've secured my profits.
reflecting on what I did in the past, hodling is not a good choice for me, I have weak hands and I could need money at any time.
I still have a small portion of bitcoin right now, it's enough to make me happy when seeing the price go up.

I would love to know how do you guys consider to sell your bitcoin after hodling. what's your indicator to determine the selling time? do you set a specific target price? or you just hold because of the hype and everybody hodl too?
298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: January 02, 2021, 05:19:24 PM
...
By the way, Manchester United have been impressive in their 10 matches and most recently they managed to secure 3 additional points from Aston Villa. I really want to see them do the same when they meet big teams like Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and also Manchester City. This will be a test for them.
...

Let see how they play against Man City in Carabao Cup on Thursday.
Then we may predict how the big match against Liverpool on 18/1 will going.
I wonder how their consistency will works when UEFA Europa League started in February.
Usually, they flip-flop when they have more competition to be played.

...
seems like Leeds United can't play with top teams and lost previous matches to Manchester United, Chelsea and Leicester City. I would not underestimate West Bromwich Albion because team is trying to leave the relegation zone and it won't be an easy walk for Arsenal.

I am not an Arsenal fan, but I wish they can win it. 6 points from the last 2 matches might be proof that they already bounce back.
299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Nocoiner narrative, "Bitcoin is not scarce". on: January 02, 2021, 04:55:40 PM
...
Because according to her, Bitcoin's divisbility up to 8 decimal places will make Bitcoin "not scarce". We have also seen trolls in the forum say it. Tell these trolls that a whole pizza, divided to 8 slices of that same pizza, then further divided to 16 slices, is still that same whole pizza.

then you take the mozzarella cheese/pineapple/tomato from that pizza, and they still called it a pizza.
I have a question, what will happen when 0.00000001 BTC becomes very expensive that all people can't afford to buy the smallest unit of BTC.
300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bittrex delisting XMR, DASH and ZEC. Will this affect Bitcoin? on: January 02, 2021, 04:35:08 PM
I wish I see this thread before. I have already bought ZEC a few hours ago.  Grin
I am a simple person, I see a big red, I buy.
same like other members, not sure about this delisting. Can anyone make a short summary about it?
so, is this how the government will make the crypto market crash this year by taking out privacy coins from the market?
