Was the email address changes too?

If not you can recover your account via the forgot password option. If yes then you are going to use that original email address you used for registering the account and write to the team that is responsible to recover accounts. All the instructions you need are in the link provided.

If you don't have a staked bitcoin address. Don't mind, just explain to them everything that happened in the message.
2802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Experiment of bringing back a dead coin. on: November 26, 2021, 12:21:38 AM
1. You might wanna specify what kind of coin you want to bring back to life and how you plan to do it?
2. Look out for what reasons made it die in the first place so that all your efforts may not be wasted even though it's just experimental
2803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Helium miners from RisingHF on: November 26, 2021, 12:18:42 AM
I have no experience with them but I will leave you with some info.

According to https://voskcointalk.com/t/helium-hnt-hotspot-mining-wiki-faq/14786#heading--RisingHF. They were approved

But I am not able to find additional information through this link. It looks broken - https://discord.com/channels/404106811252408320/813452716286017557/898487936436297749

https://explorer.helium.com/hotspots/makers also lists them among hotspot makers

They are still relatively new but some people claim to be using them - https://www.reddit.com/r/HeliumNetwork/comments/qx8cro/indoor_vs_outdoor_miner_and_miners_from_risinghf/
2804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Eth.Nanopool no blocks on: November 23, 2021, 11:40:47 PM
The site is probably not giving live data. Even the status of the last recorded blocked is still showing as unconfirmed on the site

But according to etherscan. The most recent block mined by nanopool was a few minutes ago - https://etherscan.io/block/13673804

Maybe it a bug on their site. You can report to the team: eth@nanopool.org
2805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Be safe: READ THIS BEFORE TRADING/BUYING/USING YOUR MONEY on ZEBPAY on: November 23, 2021, 11:30:09 PM
ZEBPAY is a fake trading platform. They charge an immense amount of fees for trading. They hold on to your amount after the transaction so, to buy it at a low price and perform batch transactions and then they keep the difference. If you transfer EOS or XLM, that takes less than a min to transfer. ZEBPAY usually takes around 5- 6 hours or sometimes a day to transfer, when they have a chance to grab the transaction difference. They won't give you the tx Hash ID, their customer support won't reply if you are stuck at this issue. It is run by an Indian guy with only 20 people as staff, which is a huge red flag too. If you have this app installed, please uninstall this app ASAP. I never did a large transaction on this platform because of this trust issue, and I was right.
I don't think enough people will get warnings from here. If you were scammed, just write up a full scam report with evidence in the scam accusations board.

Judging from you story, it seems you have used them several times. Why do you continue using a service if it sucks?
We have lots of alternatives that you can try out.

If they rejected you then they must have given you a reason for you application not getting accepted. If not have you tried reading through the listing guidelines to the dot? -

2807  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Elon calls out CZ over Binance issue; CZ got piqued, went out of context on: November 23, 2021, 07:33:06 PM
Unfortunately, though, the CEO's response went apparently out of context. CZ was obviously irritated with Elon calling him out. After once again blaming Doge for the problem, CZ brought the issue of Tesla's recall of almost 12,000 vehicles.

I was really caught by surprise on how CZ responded to a legitimate issue regarding Doge withdrawals in Binance. Other than the fact that Binance is the only exchange having this problem, which could mean Doge is not really the root cause here, how on earth was Tesla's problems related to Binance's Doge withdrawal problems? CZ couldn't take the issue objectively!
I am not a fan of Elon but it was about time someone talked about the Binance-Dogecoin fiasco. The jerks at Binance don't want to admit that It was their mistake.

Like how do you expect someone who transferred attempted to transfer 3,000,000 DOGE (~13,000 USD) about a year ago to another address he doesn't control to refund 3,000,000 DOGE valued today at (~660,000 USD)?

He went off topic because he knows it was their mistake. He just doesn't want to admit.
2808  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Legit miner wholesalers? Bitmain and Canaan on: November 23, 2021, 07:11:27 PM
Hello, i am looking to start selling bitcoin miners through my own website. Does anyone have legitimate vendors/wholesalers on alibaba, aliexpress or other websites. Looking for both bitmain and canaan miners.
You are going to get your self scammed on alibaba or aliexpress. It doesn't matter if they have a trade assurance or buyer protection policy or not. They will send you fake used up miners that will work for a couple of weeks and then die. Buy the time you or your customers realized they are faulty. the Buyer protection period will have expired.

I am saying these because I have seen lots of reports about miners bought from resellers in such sites.
2809  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Does Binance.com allow buying fiat on p2p & have the fiat sent to someone else? on: November 23, 2021, 06:57:07 PM
Is it really adding another payment method? I thought it was me > p2 seller > me. Not me > p2 seller > Binance > me. Meaning the seller is the one who is sending the money from their account to the account I give them. It's not Binance that's sending me the money from their account.
You are missing the point. You are still using Binance to perform the p2p transaction, right?

This means in order for you to add the payment method, it has to match with the name you used to verify the account.
Secondly, there is no sane buyer who is going to allow sending money to a third party whose names do not match your payment options available. This is how people get scammed.

If he sends money to a third party, it means if you don't release the bitcoins and he tries to appeal. It means he will lose the appeal since the person he made payment to has no details listed in your payment options... basically, he will have no evidence to show that he paid to your listed payment methods.
2810  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin escrow promotion and proving it is worth something on: November 23, 2021, 06:19:11 PM
It a nice initiative. I don't know of any active and legit escrow service like yours that has it's own site except for a few escrow providers who are members here. When it comes to things like escrow. Reputation is very important and it takes time to gain reputation. Not just over night  Wink
So you should be ready to be very patient and provide an excellent service that will make customers keep wanting to use it over and over again and also end up recommending it to other member.

Some people trade around this forum, therefore the beginning step would be to market yourself and be very active around here. Eventually when you service has been around for some time with very good reputation. People will start recommending it to others.
2811  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: !!! Bitcoin - eToro - Ledger Nano X !!! on: November 22, 2021, 11:59:31 PM
How safe is eToro really? Can I just leave crypto in the portfolio and be sure they will keep it safe for me? They seem to be a big company but I'm not sure if that means anything? Have people had stuff stolen from their platform before or are they like fort Knox? :/ It would be nice to be able to let them "hold" it for me but I wouldn't want to invest money and then someone comes along hacking the place and cleaning me out. Is the platform safe?
Basic rule;

Not your keys, not your coins
No website is completely secure. If anything happens to eToro or if they decided to go offline. Your money is gone.
Mt Gox was the biggest exchange back then but today it's no more.

How do I transfer my small amount of bitcoin over to the nano X? Is there a rule to say you can't do this as there doesn't seem to be a simple "send" button anywhere on eToro? (I'm still looking into this and the other questions below)
You just have to have an amount above the withdrawal fee or the minimum withdrawal amount to be able to send. Check their FAQs and the customer help section. I believe all details are there.

If I do figure it out and send the money to the nano X, can I send it back to eToro at a later date so I can get them to cash the money out into my bank? I am not sure if I can get it back into "eToro" if that makes sense.
I believe you can. May I ask.

Have you explored other exchanges that are crypto friendly like Binance, Kucoin, Kraken, Coinbase, FTX?
Most of them have option to link your bank account to the exchange.

eToro is not really that popular if your are going to be focused with cryptocurrency trading

Besides just using it for gaining access to the dashboard, how exactly is the token going to help with stopping DeFi scams?

In simple terms, Crypto Scam Defence Token is a blockchain-based asset that people buy in order to meet the requirement of

I wonder how your algos will work on determining which coin is scam and which one is not. I mean some scenarios where there is an exit scam planned. it's hard to know how it will be pulled off or when it will be abandoned since most scammers are now aware that people know of the old rug pulling and honeypot techniques.
2814  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leverage questions on: November 22, 2021, 09:59:40 PM
There is a difference between a stock exchange and a cryptocurrency exchange. And their main difference is that the stock exchange operates in a legal regime and all its activities are regulated by law. As for cryptocurrency exchanges, it is here that the counterparty to your transactions is the exchange itself and it will bear the losses associated with your orders. This happens when most positions are open in long and the money that traders lose on short positions is not enough to pay the first.
I would say it's a grey area. Stock exchanges being regulated does not mean that manipulations don't happen. They happen all the time except that things are covered up. You get to know about such manipulations after some years in some documentaries or when there is a scandal.

We also have crypto exchanges that are fully regulated like Coinbase pro, Kraken or should we say they are not crypto exchanges since they are regulated by law?  Wink

Open positions are between two parties who are traders not the exchange. In case a position is closed way beyond the stated liquidation price, this is where the exchange's Insurance funds and Auto Deleverage Liquidations come in

There is no damn way an exchange is going to accept paying up for such bankruptcy situation from their very own pocket
2815  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Expose] Chainmine.io Fake Cloud Mining Project on: November 22, 2021, 09:44:17 PM
It so surprising that lots of people still fall for this cloud mining scams. Most of them are actually ponzi schemes pretending to do "cloud mining"
The site is barely two months old but looking at trustpilot shows that there are many people who have been scammed so far and that's just only people who decided to make a negative review on trustpilot

If the message has a subject. There is a work around by sorting them alphabetically by clicking on subject

You can then navigate to a particular page containing the subject of interest and also use "ctrl + F"

I don't think such a feature will be added when the forum is using this forum software
2818  Other / Meta / Re: Encouraging existing bitcointalk users to being more users to this forum on: November 22, 2021, 06:46:26 PM
they will share it and it will result in further organic growth and expansion of the forum. The chain will continue.

Now here are some ways this can be implemented :
1) Organizing a contest of bringing referrals to the forum and giving monetary reward to people with most referrals.
Did you just include organiszing a contest, monetary rewards and organic growth in the same post.

Live example of why it will just promote fake accounts, spammers and end up being a complete fail is cryptotalk forum. Check it out and see if it's doing much better than Bitcointalk right now in terms of content quality.

Those who have genuine interest will join, just like you did join the Bitcoin movement without it being advertised to you. There is no need to force things around  Wink

2820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: CG or CMC on: November 21, 2021, 10:55:45 PM
Listing your token on CG or CMC doesn't mean the price will pump or it will attract people to buy your coins. With so many scam coins out there what most informed traders are looking at is how good the project is in general and maybe the price growth of the coin over time.

Hype and PnD schemes are just short lived money grabbing operations.
