2803  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS destroys Syrian Church on Easter Sunday on: April 21, 2015, 04:43:35 AM
How could #1 be true? All ISIS members aren't Muslims and also sunnis are who follow correctly. You think killing muslims, non-muslims and making mischief in the lands are Sunnis? I don't think so.

Do you have any proof for this? As far as I know, there isn't a single non-Muslim member in the ISIS. Also, I don't think there are any Shias or Ismailis with them.

What if I ask you same question? I know the answer will be medias tell they are muslims and some members claim they are muslims. But does that mean all are muslims?

Sunnis are the ones who follow Qur'an and Hadiths correctly. Therefore, how could a person killing muslims, non-muslims and making mischief in lands a sunni/Muslim?

2805  Other / Meta / Re: Quickseller/ACCTSeller abusing trust system (here we go again!) on: April 21, 2015, 03:51:33 AM
Alright, here's my 2 cents. 2 cents is not a lot, so I will keep it short.

1) I think you abused the coinchat x years ago
2) I think it's weird for Quickseller to add a new negative feedback after such a long time

Personally I think it is unwarranted to put a new negative feedback for something that transpired long ago. Just like it is strange to post again in a long dead scam accusation thread.

It may be weird but IMHO there is valid point for adding a negative trust though I don't know what's Quickseller's intention.

 - 2.5 years ago TF was in default trust list.
 - tspacepilot earned Bitcoins from coinchat using bots.
 - TF added a negative trust feedback and was in trusted feedback.
 - TF was removed and the feedback went to untrusted feedback.
 - Quickseller bumped it because that is a scammy behaviour.
 - Hence, everybody can see his scammy behaviour.

Leaving negative feedback for things happened long ago isn't unwarranted/unjustified.
2806  Other / Meta / Re: How to get non-contributing users from cluttering a thread on: April 21, 2015, 03:41:15 AM
There is no plausible way to do this. We can only do this if we can know what's their real intention. Spammy posts can be reported but all such posts aren't spammy. Ignore their posts.
2807  Other / Meta / Re: Link Underneath 'Trust' on: April 21, 2015, 03:38:35 AM
-snip-

What about 'I don't like you or don't agree with you so i'll give you a negative' trust?

No. There should be a good reason for leaving a negative trust feedback. Else, leave a neutral feedback.
2808  Other / Archival / Re: quickseller on: April 21, 2015, 03:33:53 AM
There are ways to make the transfer so that it isnt revealed. For example only changing after escrow has the coins in escrow address.

What if seller change password and tell it waa escrow who did it? It can't be resolved easily unless admins involve in this.

Even if not, its up to buyer and seller to negotiate on a security level they feel comfortable with. Escrow only should step in when its unsecure for him or to give a tip about a potential risk. But at the end its up to them to decide what they feel comfortable with.

IMHO giving tips about security it good but escrowing according to their terms aren't always good. If their terms aren't good, escrow should come up with new terms which is comfortable for both. The terms Quickseller came up with were good but backing out that deal for making a safer terms is shady.
2809  Other / Meta / Re: BitCoinTalk hidden pages - undocumented features on: April 21, 2015, 03:23:47 AM
There's a "patrol" page, you can activate it on the profile settings,
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;patrol

it shows newbie posts for the mods I think.

It isn't a hidden page because you can enable/disable it in settings.

I enabled it sometime ago but I didn't understand what is patrol page? ATM I can see 85 posts in Patrol page only. Anybody?
2810  Other / Meta / Re: Quickseller/ACCTSeller abusing trust system (here we go again!) on: April 21, 2015, 03:19:24 AM
@tspacepilot: If you were experimenting with bots, why did you withdraw coins you got from the experiment? Using bot is against rules, so you shouldn't withdraw coins you got from bot-chat.
2811  Other / Meta / Re: Is there a limit on PM inbox/outbox? on: April 21, 2015, 03:09:34 AM

2812  Other / Meta / Re: Quickseller/ACCTSeller abusing trust system (here we go again!) on: April 20, 2015, 05:05:52 PM
Lies of TF? You posted you *did* use *bots* to *earn* which is *against TOS*.

Tradefortress' comment was "spammer, defrauded coinchat". Were you using coinchat in the last few months? If so, what were you doing on it?

I used it a few months ago.  I didn't realize until now that 'tradefortress' is 'admin' from coinchat.  So at least this explains part of the puzzle.

I *did* use coinchat a few months ago and I was banned by "admin".  We exchanged some emails in which I asked him what I had done to be banned and I didn't ever get a detailed response.  He said I owed him 0.2BTC if I wanted to be reinstated on coinchat.  I asked him several times where he came up with that number and what I had done wrong.  Each time, however, he just replied tersely about some sort of fraud and paying him back.

The best guess I have at what he was angry about is that I was experimenting with robots on his site using the api the he published (and I as I understood it) he encouraged us to use.  I enjoyed coinchat and I learned a lot about node.js while I was experimenting there.  I was sad to get kicked off because I had a lot of fun chatting there and gambling on the various robots.   What I can't understand is how a site that gives money for chatting is going to cry 'fraud'  when I took money for chatting.  I mean, the site gave me money and I cashed it out using the site's system.  How on earth is that fraudulent?
 -snip-

Hi tspacepilot aka wikib0t aka testycat aka newman aka manny on Coinchat,

Quote
-last para from above quote-

Excuse the language but bullshit. You were using a bot to send automated messages on coinchat and reaping the rewards fraudulently. You know that is against the rules. Nobody with any intelligence will think it is OK to run a bot to spam coinchat and get rewards. Bots are not allowed to earn rewards, bot accounts must have the name b0t in them and you've tried wikib0t. You've also said you "reviewed the rules" through email on Aug 30 and then tried wikib0t.

I have zero interest in wasting time with spammers who try to lawyer their way out.

If an ATM gives you money you shouldn't have got, legally you're in the wrong.

You don't have to sign a ToS for it to be active. Using the service means that you agree with the ToS. Damn, how can someone be so ignorant as you?
You spammed with a bot to get BTC and now TF wants it back. Sounds legit and logical to me.

My 2 cents.

Well. I am going to stick with TF on this one. He abused the system and broke the rules. Why should anyone trust him if he cannot even follow simple rules? I think its good that TF tells people about it.

@redsn0w: At the time of that post, i.e. 2 years ago, TF was in default trust list and his negative feedback was shown as trusted. However, after he was removed, it went into untrusted feedback. Bumping this will only help users and I think this is appropriate.
2813  Other / Meta / Re: Posts deleted on: April 20, 2015, 04:16:17 PM
+1 posts would have been fine in my opinion if it weren't for sig campaigns. Getting paid for posting meaningless posts is the problem, so once you disallow them for people with sig campaigns you have to disallow them for everyone else.

Why? Mod sees potentially spammy post with a sig ->delete. No sig? Don't.
Where I live, prostitution (sex for money) is illegal, unmonetized sex is still ok tho.

People who have paid signature tend to spam more to get more money. So person who have paid signature gets ban faster if he/she spam than person without paid signature. All spammy posts will be deleted but likely/potential-spammy posts made by people without paid signature may not be deleted.

2815  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Appeal to Sig-Campaign Managers to Exclude "Meta" & "Politics & Society" on: April 20, 2015, 02:44:07 PM
If I may.

IMHO you should contact the campaign managers about this, first. If they ain't responding well, you can post here to get others' opinions.

When I read Quickseller's and hilariousandco's posts, I understood that excluding boards isn't a good idea. Like many suggested, managers should check posts of users before accepting their enrolment request or kick them if they are spamming.

A few things I like to know/suggested about Politics & Society:

Isn't a mod needed for this board? Is posting a "news" allowed? Recently, many people post news and a link.

@twister: Religious thread in Politics & Society is on-topic as religion can be included in "society" but such discussions most probably won't have an end.
2816  Other / Meta / Re: Is there a limit on PM inbox/outbox? on: April 20, 2015, 02:24:07 PM
I thought so to, but then search might be messing up. If I sort by alphabetical, on page 1 I have the start of the alphabet [weird symbols etc], on page 256 I get the "s"es. s-z is missing or not sorting properly.

"Search" function doesn't search in outbox AFAIK. I don't know about another issue as I haven't reached that many pages.

Search on the PMs is terrible and never works properly for me. I think theymos has acknowledged this before somewhere.

TBH search is really useful and works great for me. I can't search in outbox which is the only issue I am having. Almost all times, I get the result I want when searching.
2817  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Pywallet 2.2: manage your wallet [Update required] on: April 20, 2015, 06:23:24 AM
I want to connecting pywallet into wallet.dat, then appear the message

Code:
C:\Users\adi\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin>pywallet.py --wallet="wallet.dat"

'ecdsa' package is not installed, pywallet won't be able to sign/verify messages
A mandatory option is missing

why  Huh

"ecdsa" package is needed to sign/verify messages. If you don't sign/verify messages, it isn't needed. IMHO using localhost is better. Try doing it. I haven't played with Pywallet for sometime now. So I don't remember commands. You can get it by running pywallet.py --help.
2818  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.15 loan | Valid LTC collateral on: April 20, 2015, 06:13:17 AM
Also  if the collateral value fall below 110% of the loan amount, either OP send more collateral or it will sold to cover the loan amount
(if LTC fall Below 0.0055 BTC/LTC )

Was this in the terms of loan? It should be said before the loan is provided IMHO.

Also, there is an "Edit" button. Don't need to make new posts each time. Smiley
