2081  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Tumblers & Anonymizers on: May 16, 2015, 07:03:20 AM
...

NO ONE has shown me much positive feedback on various mixers other than the two I have used many times with much success.

bitmixer.io (yes, I am with their signature campaign, because their service is excellent)

blockchain.info's Sharedcoin service (probably requires a blockchain wallet)

I have not used any other, as I am wary of scams...

*   *   *

So how about it?  If anyone else has positive reviews on ANY other mixer, let's hear about it!

I highly recommend not to use this site for mixing. This is probably built for the stealing.

2082  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BIT-X.com | Bitcoin Debit Card | Spend Your Bitcoins Anywhere! on: May 16, 2015, 06:56:54 AM
Hey marco, who to contact if i am interested on the debit card? and is it available worldwide or just in some few countries?

You can contact Marco to get the card. It is available worldwide but in some countries basic restrictions won't be lifted even after verifying. See OP for details.

Quoting a relevant discussion. Please reconsider fees and/or number of times we need to use per month to avoid inactive fee. Thank you!

Im really happy to see that Official launch of Master Card. And also they Now ship that card to Pakistan, I surely go for it. I think your Fees at ATM withdrawal is some what lit but higher, .02 BTC. Can you please mind to lower that fees?

Hmm... the fee for ATM withdrawal is a bit on the higher side. BTC0.02 is equivalent to $5. If I am withdrawing $200 through the ATM, then I'll be paying 5.5% as the fees ($5 plus 3% Mastercard commission). But it is still better than using the Localbitcoins to convert BTC to fiat, as the vendors there normally charge as much as 10% for the currency exchange.

This advantage is destroyed by inactive monthly fee of 0.05BTC. You need to us a minimum of 5 times a month or a have a balance of 5BTC(IIRC) in BIT-X. Lips sealed

I believe that the limit of five times a month is too high. It should be lowered to once a month, or once every two months. Else the inactive fee would cost us BTC0.60 every year, which is equivalent to $144. For me this is a very big amount and it lowers the attraction of using the debit card. I have received my debit card by the way... have to activate it now.

I posted in their official thread many times but they tend to ignore it. I don't think I would use it until the fee isn't lowered.
2084  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin/Altcoin cloud Mining on: May 16, 2015, 06:42:43 AM
Try bit-x, hashnest and cloudminr.io as for me they are the only trusted nowadays

Cloudminr.io is a ponzi.
2085  Other / Meta / Re: Default Trust Visualisation on: May 16, 2015, 06:35:26 AM
It will be good if you use different colors for different users in depth 1 to know who they trust. Now it is hard to differentiate.
2086  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] Genesis-Mining 1.25 TH Account !! on: May 16, 2015, 06:21:46 AM
@OP: How did you buy 1.25 THs? They don't offer a contract like that.

-snip-

I knew someone would answer it but I was testing OP. Wanted to see how he answers it.

I Buy 1 TH after that I Buy 0.25 TH Smiley

This answer is still not enough for me but avoid it.

What are the maintenance fees?
2087  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 2.0 release on: May 16, 2015, 06:16:11 AM
@Muhammed: thanks, I will try to get help in the official HW.1 thread
Anyway,  on the same PC under Linux everything is just fine.
Also, under win7 btchip-python is not very stable: I tried it five times: 4 times it worked OK, then it gave:
USBError: [Errno None] libusb0-dll:err [_usb_reap_async] reaping request failed

The problem is I am not getting this error. I think it has to do something with your installation. Hope you will get an answer/solution from 'btchip'.
2088  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: LouReed Please Reply and Pay back my 2k plus USD worth BTC on: May 16, 2015, 05:48:17 AM
I sent him a PM. If he doesn't reply, then this is a scam. He could have replied here or via PM. It doesn't look right.

How do yo now this is a scam, the OP should try to contact him with all his personl possibility (through email, telephone, etc...).

He can reply here or via PM. He isn't willing to do so. I think he won't login to that account anymore but I maybe wrong.

Last Active: 03:11:50, 14 May 2015

However I have seend he has received a negative trust from Quikseller, but he (LouReed) has still a green trust score  Roll Eyes...

Where are the defaultTrust users?

Tomatocage also left a negative feedback.

His green trust rating won't change soon. It may change when more DF users leave negative feedback but still not soon.

2089  Other / Meta / Re: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ on: May 16, 2015, 05:02:53 AM
I'm not clear on what double posting really is.

1 - Is it posting twice in a row in thread?  As Shorena already mentioned, I also don't have a problem with that, when it is addressing different points in the same thread, or to break up a long post.

OR

2 - Is it posting the same information (even exact duplicate) in 2 different threads?

1. Posting twice in a row isn't double posting. You can do it as long as both have different points. But replying to posts one by one and if it is small, this maybe considered as boosting post count and will be merged.

---

Example:

Bob: I like pizza.
Bob: I also like pie

^^^ This will be considered as double-posting and is spam. Second post can be avoided using 'edit' button.

2. Even making exact post in two different threads is not against forum rule if they aren't

   - Off topic.
   - Low or zero value.
   - Referral link spam -- there are exceptions for posting referral links.

* Hope I didn't miss any.

Guess I should ask more clearly: if both, either or neither (1 & 2) are allowed?

It depends on the post.

I've seen a user this week, do some back to back posts, that were really odd - just quoting previous posts he'd made in the same thread.  That isn't appropriate, right?  (necro-posting)

Posting exact posts in all threads are spam. However, making two or three exact posts in relevant threads are okay.

If not, what is the best way to bring it to the attention of a moderator?

Thanks.

Click 'Report to moderator' button in lower right of the post you want to report and type the reason in the field in the loaded page.
2090  Other / Meta / Re: Stake your Bitcoin address here on: May 16, 2015, 04:36:57 AM
I tried verifying bytezero's signed message posted below but the verifier at Brainwallet.org isn't working. Sad

The button to verify the message is missing and nothing happens after I paste in the appropriate fields. I tried it with a few other messages and the same thing happens so there must be something wrong with the site.

The message:

Bitcoin Address: 17ptMkiTdFV6U77aWonY9z9vEdTZ8xFTqg

Message: I bytezero signed own this address, May 15, 2015

Signature: IGATVJBOO9qisnYwmX1jaMj1nQpyIjHwmv7ngl8XHTgwQ0h+pMeHuvtRC3f7RzYLV+yledtaf9toQzftD4PfgFE=

FYI: Brainwallet.org's latest update removed the button and now is automatic. Once you enter, it will auto-verify. If any of the 3 parts is wrong, it won't show anything in Bitcoin-qt sub-page and it will show verification failed in first sub-page. Re-check if you have miscopied.

You might want to check your signature an extra time, I was not able to verify your message with https://brainwallet.org ?
Does your own check come out positive or is it just me?

There are BBCODEs in the post. You probably selected the post. I suggest you to quote the post and then verify.

If you trust me, you can go to this link for verifying - https://brainwallet.org/#verify?vrAddr=1MZakirz92c76pK6BNy1NAEmbWYpDcP7mh&vrMsg=Hello%2C%0A%0AI%20have%20two%20HW1%20wallets%2C%20a%20used%20and%20unused.%20In%20fact%2C%20never%20took%20one%20out%20of%20the%20package.%20I%20only%20want%20to%20sell%20one%20as%20I%20liked%20it%20very%20much%20but%20I%20might%20sell%20both%20if%20you%20can%20offer%20a%20good%20price.%20I%20am%20selling%20usnused%20one%20but%20I%20will%20be%20testing%20it%20to%20check%20whether%20it%20has%20any%20internal%2Ffirmware%20damage%20to%20avoid%20accusations%2Fproblems.%0A%0ACurrent%20price%20of%20HW1%20is%20%5Burl%3Dhttp%3A%2F%2Fbitsperdollar.com%5D%5Bimg%5Dhttp%3A%2F%2Fbitsperdollar.com%2Fimg%2F16.80%2Fbtc%5B%2Fimg%5D%5B%2Furl%5D.%20It%20will%20be%20shipped%20from%20India.%20You%20will%20have%20to%20take%20full%20shipping%20cost.%20However%2C%20if%20your%20price%20is%20good%20enough%2C%20I%20might%20take%20a%20small%20part%20of%20shipping%20cost.%20PM%20or%20post%20here%20with%20your%20offer.%0A%0AOfficial%20HW1%20announcement%20thread%20%3A%20https%3A%2F%2Fbitcointalk.org%2Findex.php%3Ftopic%3D134999.0%0A%0AThere%20are%20many%20reviews%20and%20tutorials%20for%20using%20this.%20HW1%20is%20very%20easy%20to%20setup%20and%20support%20is%20very%20friendly.%20I%20can%20also%20help%20you%20if%20there%20is%20any%20problem%20which%20I%20can%20resolve.%20Looking%20forward%20for%20your%20contact.%0A%0AKind%20Regards%2C%0AMuhammed%20Zakir&vrSig=G%2BLFIC7I7Ni6v4j0TUUldgIzuS3Qvuzey5s%2FttcmYvuVWNSbe1CZTsl7d2x%2FtDTMHp4KnPx5etD7mUcwalGIWlc%3D

A: The deal was to sell my MSDN account to him
 - Why didn't you use escrow?
A: I said that I want to do it via escrow but this dick told me not to cause then there would be high fees
 - Do you have proof
A: Yes, I have proof.

Am I understanding this correctly? You are selling your MSDN account to him?

Public Record:
I am confirming that Muhammed Zakir did send/loan me 0.18 BTC until Friday, when me Coinbase deposit is expected to clear. He even offered to give it as an interest free loan because he is a great guy and great supporter of the Bitcoin community (for longtime members). I will be returning .2 BTC back, on Friday, once my Coinbase deposit clears.
Many thanks to Muhammed Zakir!

I want to once again thank you, Muhammed Zakir...my deposit came through this morning and I have re-paid you the loan and left glowing feedback. You are a kind man.

2095  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Online wallet with on-demand addresses for donators? on: May 15, 2015, 04:17:49 PM
I suggest you to create addresses using xpub key. You don't want to store seed in public computer. You can keep it somewhere safe. You can store xpub key in server and use a script to generate keys.
Grin Way ahead of you, actually. Thats pretty much exactly what I've done. Glad to hear someone considers it reasonable. Well, at the very least, I know to never put secrets like seeds in other people's systems.

Its definitely an improvement over an online wallet, even if I were to sweep it aggressively.

Congrats! Cheesy

I suggest you to read https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0032.mediawiki to understand basics and you may get something useful from it. Good luck with your site!

2097  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS leader, Baghdadi, says "Islam was never a religion of peace. on: May 15, 2015, 04:03:34 PM
Educating Muslims to carry weapons to fight for what? Their rights? Rights to rape, kill, terror and finish other human beings in the name of religion. A slaughter explaining the benefits of killing.

I don't think Muslims who know Islam goes for it but still, some people including non-Muslims and Muslims may go to earn money.

ISIS and his bloody conspirators tells whatever they like to make their conspiracy come true.
....

This isn't a religious fight but they are just cruel monsters who don't care about their religion but hate humans.

Bah.

I'm certain if we check, we will find across the world a set of "radical mullahs" who fully support the actions of ISIS, and who so preach to their faithful flocks.

That is why the word "radical" is put in front of the word "mullah."

No more dis information, please.

This is a disinformation as it is clear they are doing it for their political gains.
Not if the political gains and the religious gains are the same.  The Global Caliphate.

Power and money. This not a religious gain.

You know, if the supreme religious leader of Iran says that his wish is to kill all Jews, and Zakir says something different, I think I'll believe the supreme religious leader of Iran.

If the supreme leader of ISIS says "There is no excuse for any Muslim not to migrate to the Islamic State... joining [its fight] is a duty on every Muslim. We are calling on you either to join or carry weapons [to fight] wherever you are.", I think I'll believe the ISIS leader instead of Zakir.

I am getting tired of your arrogant, know it all, smarter and wiser than you, attitude.  Some humility is in order, particularly in the face of and discussion about evil in the world.

You can believe what you like. The "supreme leader of ISIS" is playing with lies. It will be uncovered sooner or later. A thing I want to tell you is that the "supreme leader of ISIS" is not the one who created Islam.

Hope there are no people who accepts his invitation.

كفّار

... Is what we are to them, so it does not matter what you say...

Thanks for another word of hatred! Undecided
