2181  Other / Meta / Re: Discussion/Questions regarding 'Auctions' child-board! on: May 14, 2015, 08:41:06 AM
But if they move it out of there then it ceases being an auction so it doesn't matter.

I meant thread moved from Auctions to (Digital) Goods and edit post(s) and move it back to Auctions. Here, 'move topic' could help in editing posts.
2182  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie accounts used for trolling on: May 14, 2015, 08:38:37 AM
Don't need a newbie jail again but speculation should be watch-only for newbies IMHO.
2183  Other / Meta / Re: Discussion/Questions regarding 'Auctions' child-board! on: May 14, 2015, 08:35:10 AM
Shouldn't "move topic" be disable in Auctions?

No. Sometimes people decide they don't want to auction something any more so move it to Goods.

That can happen but it kinda beat the purpose of disabling edit in Auctions. People can move and edit their posts easily.
2184  Other / New forum software / Re: Avatar Auto Crop Feature on: May 14, 2015, 08:31:33 AM
Why is it not a good idea? A lot of other forums shrink the image to an appropriate size if it's too big and I think that would be a good feature here.

OP suggested 'auto crop' which isn't a good idea but your suggestion, 'auto shrink' is good.

^^^ Anybody got this a few seconds ago? Even isitdownrightnow[1] displayed Bitcointalk is down when I checked. What was the problem?

Got this again.

Isitdownrightnow: "Last Down: 5 mins ago"

No.
2187  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin/Altcoin cloud Mining on: May 14, 2015, 06:20:59 AM
Bitcoin cloud mining : Hashnest or Bit-X
Altcoin cloud mining : Genesis Mining (few people said it's ponzi, be careful) or zeushash

If you are brave enough, try cloudmining.website or scrypt.cc
Both of them offer fast ROI, but both of them are ponzi

Scrypt.cc has some problem atm. Don't invest there.
2188  Other / Off-topic / Re: ubuntu installation with windows on: May 14, 2015, 06:13:37 AM
I want to install ubuntu on my PC, my PC has windows OS already. any way to install ubuntu on my PC but not influence with my windows system?
which version of ubuntu should I install? thanks

Install Oracle VM Virtualbox.

But VM is not needed. You can install Ubuntu on a different(better) or same partition.

P.S. To install Ubuntu, download it from http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop and create a live USB/CD and install it. Don't make any changes in partitions to avoid potential problems.
2189  Other / Off-topic / Re: ubuntu installation with windows on: May 14, 2015, 06:10:57 AM
Can you post pc specifications?

RAM?
Storage space?
Processor?
Graphics card(if any)?
2190  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] FaucetBOX.com - API & faucet script, create your own crypto faucet on: May 14, 2015, 05:57:54 AM
I've got a second report from a faucet owner that he has been hacked. So once again: keep your api key secret, don't keep too much coins, use a hosting that you trust.

2 hacked users out of 2000 isn't a lot, but still that's 2 users too many. We'll slowly start rolling out more security options in near future, but really there's nothing we can do if someone gets an access to your server.

please offer 2 factor option for your site. that would secure it better,

also if most faucet owners have a hosting it would most likely be a shared hosting, (since its cheaper)
and there script must be bad, not the hosting.

if it was hosting and they got access to it they would go to bigger sites.

if your are planning a future update consider two factor for your site.

Please offer Bitcoin message signing as 2FA like a-ads. You can use a java code* for verifying signed messages and also try integrating Clef. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=965220.0

I dont know if they're muslims or not,
but one thing for sure, theyre humans,
and religion is not to be blame for it.

They ain't humans.
2192  Other / New forum software / Re: Avatar Auto Crop Feature on: May 14, 2015, 05:46:12 AM
Auto crop is not a good idea. A better idea is to give us an option to crop but this is also not needed as you can do this in a pic editor and then upload.

I just read your rating again and it seems Vod (as well as r3wt) gave you one to somewhat counter the rating by QS. {...}

Edit: (one of) the thing that makes me think tspacepilot is lying is

Edit* And after thinking it over, I don't really buy that you werent aware of the rules in the first place. Why would you have named your bot b0t rather than bot had you not known that names with bot don't get paid?

I think discussion about tspacepilot-QS should be taken to tspacepilot's thread.
2194  Economy / Lending / Re: 2nd Loan Posted On BTCJam - Good ROI - 60 Day - First Loan Paid 2 Weeks Early on: May 14, 2015, 05:16:57 AM
I am just confused on why people think I am asking for a loan through this site. I am directing a link to BTCJam. All my loans are done through that platform, and this post only applies to those who use that system, and trust that system. So I am just confused on why people are trying to relate that to asking for a loan through this website which is not the case. I'm merely posting a link in which a loan is done in an entirely different place in which that platform has its own policies for late payments/ no payments etc.

Nope. You are directly asking loan here. What you are doing is requesting a loan in place B and taking the deal in place A and hence, telling, you didn't request a loan in place B.

{...} and trust that system. {...}

Absolutely wrong. Lenders need to trust you, not that system. They don't guarantee your repayment.
2195  Economy / Lending / Re: 2nd Loan Posted On BTCJam - Good ROI - 60 Day - First Loan Paid 2 Weeks Early on: May 14, 2015, 04:57:02 AM
Its not that hard. You can find me on Local Bit Coins, and you can find my first successful loan on BTCJam. For those who really cared about credibility, you can look up my Money Service Business registration on the FinCen page which would even give you more personal details as well. That all seems like too much work though doesn't it? Its just much easier to hit a negative trust button. It's fine, I'll refrain from further posts on here and stick to a platform which is more suitable for small businesses trying to expand. Thanks for reading atleast.

With that, you are saying you are "extremely" credible?!

Also your preceding loan was 1BTC and bow it is 4.15BTC. How can we trust you with 4.15BTC only because you have repaid 1BTC? Btw, can you post link to your LBC account here?

Edit:

I also want to point out that I am not mad at anyone for being concerned, I am just dissapointed further efforts aren't looked into before making negative comments. I am mad at the simple fact that it is extremely time consuming becoming legalized as a company for Bitcoin. I run this on my own, and making sure every policy is in compliance and in place is very stressful and extremely time consuming. When someone questions my legitimacy, my natural reaction will be angry because it is honestly a complete false image. I viewed this site really as a posting forum for legitimate people to post ads or requests in relevant sections, and for those who were interested could respond, and for those not, to simply just ignore.

Many were scammed by borrowers. So we question things and these help us to be safe. You can't come and ask a loan without providing collateral or with sufficient credibility. In your case, there is no collateral and sufficient credibility.
2196  Economy / Lending / Re: 2nd Loan Posted On BTCJam - Good ROI - 60 Day - First Loan Paid 2 Weeks Early on: May 14, 2015, 04:39:30 AM
I am not asking "your" community members to do anything they don't want to. I am also not asking for a loan through this site. Sorry you all get so jumpy at the chance to take a stab at someone who is actually extremely credible when it comes to Bitcoin.

Show us you are extremely credible in Bitcoin world.
2197  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] Bitcoin-related Scam Websites on: May 14, 2015, 04:11:47 AM
Bitcoin-forums.net

There was an earlier thread posted in the meta section about that site here:

http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=998187

It doesn't seem to be a scam/phishing site since nobody has reported their account being compromised from it yet although I've noticed that they use popunder ads which is kinda dishonest since they didn't create the content themselves. Perhaps labeling it as a possible scam might be a better idea.

EDIT: [b[It's also possible that the site is meant to be used as a proxy service for those who live in countries where Bitcointalk is banned.[/b] This site was such an example:

http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=930169

You can't use any functions in it including login. So it is not a mirror site for ISP ban evading. So it is probably a phishing site and/or for making money. As nothing works in it, we can conclude it is a phishing site.
2198  Other / Meta / Re: Stake your Bitcoin address here on: May 14, 2015, 04:03:33 AM
When you sign, put the date and make message clearer.

Eg:- foxbitcoin from Bitcointalk.org. 14/05/2014, Thursday.
2199  Other / Meta / Re: This is totally unfair ...Never seen such a bad behavior !!! on: May 14, 2015, 03:59:43 AM
If you really want you account back, you could try appealing for an unban from the Admins. Swearing at the forum staff is not a good idea if you want to get unbanned.

-snip-
I AM JUST REQUESTING ADMIN BACK MY ACCOUNTS OR BANNED MY IP FOREVER BECAUSE I AM ADDICTED TO BTC
2200  Other / Meta / Re: Why 'email address' revealed to Mods when reporting? on: May 14, 2015, 03:48:50 AM
Only certain mods can see it - I can't for instance - but I agree that if it doesn't need to be there then it should be removed.

You can't see the mail ids even when a report is made in a board you moderate? I got the impression it was otherwise from the post below

Only the specific board moderator(s) can see your email when you report a post.

Check the date of his post. IIRC he was still a patroller. He became mod on February 13 or 14.

Edited.
