2221  Other / Meta / Re: Is asking for a feedback is wrong on: May 13, 2015, 12:55:58 PM
I believe OP is referring to exchange (or rather giving away) of goods and services with the intention to bump up own trust.
If it was to judge by your recent threads in games and rounds section, i believe that is what your intentions are.

 -snip-

True. I left a feedback(actually two) and he is asking about it. I think it is fine. Anyway, I will change it to neutral if I see he isn't doing anything shady.

P.S. If anybody, think the feedback I left is unjust, please PM me or post here about your opinion. Thank you!
2222  Other / Meta / Re: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ on: May 13, 2015, 12:48:19 PM
What's the rules on double posting? Doesn't seem to be any discussion on it. But I WOULD of thought there would be a policy which would mean you need to edit rather than posting twice.

Even if there's not an actual rule on this, I'm pretty sure it's considered good form to edit rather than repost.  Relatedly, I've seen that people can bump their service thread like once a day or something.  Does editing the last post also generate a bump in the forum listings?

The old bump must be deleted once you make a new one. Editing your post wont bump it but it will make the thread 'unread' to people even if they've already clicked on it (but wont bump it).

How about people who delete their post and repost it. Is there any way for a mod to know if someone reports it and if he hasn't seen this behavior?
2223  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for 0.07BTC Loan - Payback 0.1BTC Monday 18th May (18/05/15) on: May 13, 2015, 12:46:16 PM
Firstly I wasn't saying ponzi accounts were collateral. The collateral is my actual pay every other monday to my bank account which I would provide proof of. I do not need it for ponzi's. I also am in no way looking to do a runner or whatever you two are implying. If I am so dodgy, I would have lots of bad feedback?

I don't mind if no one wants to lend but there is no need for assumptions and no need to be rude Smiley

There are also many posts on here saying no collateral too so kind of makes some of your points invalid. Anyway, that is all Smiley

I was told that feedback was removed as was unfairly given. Seems it wasn't, I will be looking into and complaining about that.

Not unjust. Look at your posts. You are fully mostly involved in HYIPs. It is a red signal.

Without collateral, no loan for you.
2224  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 10PHs in 1 day vs 1PHs in 10 days on: May 13, 2015, 08:35:55 AM
Id ask more of what can I afford to risk, since its based on what you can afford really.

Say you go with the huge performance 10 PHs, question is that can you still continue even if the value drops? lol. As oppose to the other smaller hash performance you can since, its less intial risk and can be made for the loss.

Leverage is just accelerated risk, if its not done right which is the 10 PHs.

 -snip-

It is a good calculation and thanks for it but OP is asking which has higher chance of finding a block.
2225  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [ANN] Bither - simple&secure Bitcoin wallet.(Android v1.3.5 released) on: May 13, 2015, 08:20:29 AM
When using addresses other than HD account, we can still send changes in the old way.

I would like to see the same thing for HD account. Can we send the change back to the origin address in HD account? I don't want to create new address everytime I spend Bitcoin.

We're planning to do this in the next few versions. No ETA yet. It's a good advice to add a "+" button. Thank you for your advice.

Will be waiting...
2226  Economy / Services / Re: looking for escrow on: May 13, 2015, 08:14:20 AM
See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855778.0 and contact an escrow who is online when you trade.
2227  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for 0.20 BTC Loan | Account as collatoral | pay back 0.25 on: May 13, 2015, 07:50:07 AM
Hello,

I was curious as to if this was possible for my account to be collateral?

Regards,

Volt

P.S. Sorry Forgot to add, I need this for about 2 weeks and will pay back 0.25.

Do you happen to have a backup of your BTCD wallet with the address RJpVwQA3bpiX5XY6FNWMvFep9GUxMRFgED posted here?

I can give this loan if you give your account as collateral and sign a message with that address. It can be easily verified here: https://brainwallet.org/#verify

Can brainwallet verify non-btc addresses too?

Yes, a few:
[ img]https://i.imgur.com/Mh1vrhk.png[/img]

Actually, almost all. I have tried signing and verifying messages from unlisted coin addresses. There won't be problem as all uses same mechanism AFAIK.

P.S. I can provide this loan if any of the above lenders couldn't lend you.

I think about buying a TREZOR.  Is there a cheaper option with hardware?  It just seems high.

Ledger HW.1 or Ledger Nano.

2232  Other / Meta / Re: Ways to reduce spambots? on: May 13, 2015, 06:49:20 AM
Limiting by IPs is a bad idea. Many people use VPN or servers. Using a captcha of sorts seems like a great idea and I would definitely support that though. Maybe also limit a section (such as marketplace) until you have x number of posts.

I know it can be easily bypassed but it will increase workload of users as they will have to use new IPs but still not hard. Limiting Newbie to certain boards is not I wanted.

Limiting the forum and only using invite only would be the only be to completely or nearly completely reduce the amount of bot accounts registering.

I don't agree with this.
2233  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Ledger HW1 | Same level of security as Ledger Nano hardware wallet! on: May 12, 2015, 05:38:24 PM

2234  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: About anonymity for Newbies on: May 12, 2015, 03:57:09 PM
Let me give you an example: at BitcoinMixers.com you can find Helix light mixer that does not just clean your bitcoins it gives you brand new freshly mined uncirculated bitcoins. The Helix's system is more than a simple bitcoin tumbler, it is privacy and security wrapped in one.  Smiley

Where did you get newly minted coins?

our website is only concerned with advertising these services. where the team of BTC mixer takes new Bitcoins we do not know. maybe this is the secret of the company  Grin

So you are just advertising? I don't want you to tell where you get newly minted coins but at least can you post a signed message from an address which has some newly minted coins? Wink
2235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Scrypt.CC | Scrypt Cloud Mining on: May 12, 2015, 03:51:21 PM
Investing in a ponzi is gambling as you are investing into something in which the outcome/result is unknown.

Putting money into a ponzi isn't an investment, then, is it?

It would only be classed as a legitimate gamble if you were informed prior to 'investing' that it was a ponzi and that there was a risk you would lose your money. Even then it would still need to operate transparently as a ponzi so that all participants were fully aware of the mechanisms of the 'game'.

Legitimate gamble? Grin

I want vote, why not can vote me ?

You mean you cant vote on the poll ? Maybe cuz you're still a newbie on this forum ??

Yes. Newbies can't vote. You can vote when you become Jr. Member. See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608.0.

Edit:

guess what our HINDU religion promoted Sati system for hundreds of years and still now in remote villages 8 year old KIDS are married off to old men.

Those things happened hundreds of years ago. They are not going on now. Even in Europe people used to get married when they were 12 or 13 years old. The Hindu religion (and most of the other religions) has transformed itself, dumping barbaric rituals such as Sati and child marriage. But there are a few sects in world where these things are going on even now. And none of these sects are Hindu.

That's not true. Hindu sects also are included in child marraige.
2239  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Most Secure bitcoin wallet ? on: May 12, 2015, 03:27:21 PM
To me,the most secure bitcoin wallet is blockchain
its safe and its online..

Well, you should start reading and exploring. https://www.google.co.in/search?q=blockchain.info+hacked. Blockchain.info devs even pushed a buggy code.

Online wallets are never "most" secure.
2240  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk account on: May 12, 2015, 03:24:31 PM
wow, this thread is literally exploded since i last wrote and watched here. If i have enough time i will read this all.
But first, some answers for "hilariousandco":

What evidence do you have that links him to Quickseller exactly (assuming that's who you're referring to)? Quickseller was knowledgeable of the rules here and that guy clearly isn't because a) he doesn't seem to be aware that you only need to make 1 post per fortnight and not spam quickly to make 14, and 2) Quickseller always made decent posts and didn't 'farm' them this way.

It's not my work to search and show evidences!
That someone knows the rules means not that he also break rules!
about a) The accounts i talk about do 14 post on the same day. between the posting days are minimum 14 days to meet the roules about the "activity" raise. He know the rules!
I believe, it doesn't work for me, that i have to made only one post per 14 days to get 14 activity points!
about 2) The account "Quickseller" made only decent posts, that right. But that doesn't mean the person behind Quickseller post in the same way from other accounts. A person with more than one account plays mostly theater with other users.
Thinking that those people doesn't change the writing is hilarious!
I saw people before who write big letters only or only few word if the use different accounts, to hide the identity.

You can own/create/farm/buy/sell/lend as many accounts as you wish, just as long as you make decent posts/contributions from them.

Sorry, i searched the rules and remembered wrong. Your right.

You claim it's QS' and you tell it is not your job to find evidences. Sounds great! Undecided
