[ size=15pt]Egyptian Islamic Leader: Muslims Forbidden From Offering Greetings To Copts On Any Christian Holiday…[/size]

[ img]https://i.imgur.com/vPemVsX.jpg[/img]

During a recent interview on Egyptian television, the schizophrenic face of the Islamist parties was on full display.

Dr. Yunis Makioun, head of the Al-Nour Party, the political wing of the Salafis, insisted that Islam commands Muslims to “protect”—a reference to their “dhimmi” status—and treat Coptic Christian minorities properly.

Even so, according to Islam, said the Salafi spokesman, Muslims are forbidden from offering greetings or congratulations to the Copts on any Christian holiday, such as Christmas and Easter.

Tell him to start reading. Prophet has clearly said to return the greetings even if he is a non-Muslim.

Qur'an 4:86 - “When a (courteous) greeting is offered you, meet it with a greeting still more courteous, or (at least) of equal courtesy. Allah takes careful account of all things.”

Saheeh Muslim.
Book 026, Number 5380:

Anas b. Malik reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: When the People of the Book offer you salutations, you should say: The same to you.
2202  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who are THEY? Are they Muslim? on: May 14, 2015, 03:22:33 AM
First let me tell here an Ayat from Quran:

If any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole humanity: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the whole humanity.

What in the actual fuck is the definition of 'spreading mischief'. People can interpret that in any way they wish. The attacks were Sunni against shia, right? Maybe the sunni's think that shia's are spreading mischief therefore they're fair game to be killed. I know not all muslims feel this way but killing members of your own religion only with slightly different views just shows you how ridiculous this is (though of course all religions are equally ridiculous any way).

Here, spreading mischief means making wars, killing people and spreading hatread and violence etc... It perfectly fits with what ISIS and similar groups are doing. I think they haven't see this! Roll Eyes
2203  Other / Meta / Re: Discussion/Questions regarding 'Auctions' child-board! on: May 14, 2015, 03:12:26 AM
Shouldn't "move topic" be disable in Auctions?
2204  Other / Meta / Re: Why 'email address' revealed to Mods when reporting? on: May 13, 2015, 05:30:42 PM
So what's the problem with that? It doesn't cost anything to create a new email address if you're really concerned about moderators spamming you (but then you probably shouldn't use this forum at all)

It's just how an SMF forum works.

-image-
It's not really an issue, but I'm just curious as to why this is. Is it a feature of SMF that can't be disabled? Or is it there for an actual reason?

^^^ This. Not really a problem for me. I already told that above.

There is already another thread about this question:

I saw it but there is no answer in it for the question.

A valid reason will be helful. Admins?

P.S. Sorry for the necro bump. Couldn't get or figure any reason.

So

• Change captcha.
• 'Website URL' should be disabled for newbies.

Can anybody comment on which captcha to use and whether there should be a limit for number of registrations per IP and browser fingerprint* per period? Also on how much time should that period be.

* If it is being saved.

I personally suggest AreYouAHuman captcha and one account per IP per 24 hours. Anybody?

Thank you, BTCBLOGGER, for accepting my suggestion and for making it a neutral feedback!

By the way its really weird that you are asking about this when you have sent a feedback about someone buying trust with loans a few days ago.

I see you actually edited your feedback sent to that guy, seems like you didnt want to look like a fool after this post

Didn't see that. Pretty sure you are right about his action. He even changed negative trust feedback to positive.

2212  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Using offline transactions without Armory Online? on: May 13, 2015, 02:58:36 PM
My apologies. Too late now, I guess.

No problem. This may help you. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=search;advanced

You can use http://counterwallet.co/ as your online wallet. It give Armory-style transaction and you can broadcast it through your account or via sites which offers broadcasting after copying hex.(see last para)

Not an option. I just want to ditch Armory Online from my workflow, I won't sign up for an online wallet.

You don't need to import anything. Just neef to signup and create a watch-only address in it.

Or try this script. No warranty or guarantee from me. Use it at your own risk.
 {code}

From what I gather this script takes a regular bitcoind hex tx and converts it to an Armory tx in order to broadcast it with Armory Online. I want to do the opposite: take a signed Armory tx and convert it to a regular bitcoind tx to broadcast it elsewhere.

You first need to create an Armory-style transaction to be able to sign with Arnory. So you need to convert raw hex tx to Armory-style tx before signing and broadcasting

After signing with Armory, you can click "Copy (Hex)" which will copy raw transaction which you can broadcast via Blockchain.info or other sites which offers this.

Yes! That's more like it. So the output of the "Copy (Hex)" button is already fit for POSTing it into blockchain.info/pushtx?

Yes.

One last question, can I create signed tx's directly with Armory Offline? (as opposed to create unsigned tx's with Armory Online and bring them over to the airgapped machine for signing)

No. You need some details to create a transaction and for this you need to use Internet. You can get it by using an explorer and sign in it manually which is a complex. I suggest you to use https://coinb.in/#newTransaction, input your Bitcoin address and create a transaction. You will see a raw unsigned transaction. Convert it to Armory-style and sign it. Then, click "Copy (Hex)" and broadcast it through an online pc. Alternatively, you can reduce workload, by downloading coinb.in in your offline pc and use it to sign raw transaction. So you don't want to convert to Armory-style transaction.

P.S. If you opt for second option, i.e. not using Armory to sign transaction, I highly recommend you to continue using it for creating new address. Hence, saving root key helps you to recover funds. Print root key and keep it safe! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=152151.0

Edit: Below link may help you for broadcasting transactions if Blockchain.info isn't working or is offline.

Thank you! I'm definitely bookmarking this link.

Anytime.

Now I regret that I already used the ultimate facepalm today.

I don't got the point that you wanna say...
You quoted my address..why..??
One of the mods told that if you don't want to be banned again don't post anywhere except meta section..
That's only I did..
Please let me know what you wanna say..

I have corrected your quoting.

You said you won't repeat your mistake but you posted outside this thread which is ban evading.

Just to clear my doubt Please let me know
Is asking for a feedback is wrong??
You answer may be helpful and give me more information about the forum
I think no, you are free to ask a feedback as long as you have made deal with them and they willing to give you a feedback.
And You are free to give positive feedback to someone who has made deal with you as long as you trust them and that account is not your alt. It's better if you had reference link. The reference link means that the deal is in public.

There is no need for a trade/deal to occur to leave a feedback.

We don't actually have a trade feedback system; the reputation system that we use on the forum is a trust feedback system.

 -snip-

Many people who get negative trust complain that I have never traded with them and should remove my negative trust. This is an invalid argument.
2215  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Using offline transactions without Armory Online? on: May 13, 2015, 01:41:56 PM
It was already asked a few times. A search is better.

You can use http://counterwallet.co/ as your online wallet. It give Armory-style transaction and you can broadcast it through your account or via sites which offers broadcasting after copying hex.(see last para)

Or try this script. No warranty or guarantee from me. Use it at your own risk.

-snip-
EDIT: So I figured it out and wrote a script to do this, which will take a bitcoind hex raw txn and convert to an armory style txn, which should be good for signing and/or broadcasting (if already signed) I would think. I couldn't get the system path hack to fully work... it still complained about not being able to import a module in the jsonrpc folder. That being the case, you could just throw this script in /usr/lib/armory on the online armory box (with a full or watch-only wallet) and run it. Starts armory up, loads the blockchain, and spits out the armory-formatted txn.

Any suggestions to the script are welcome (and feel free to add this to the armory extras folder):

Code:
import sys
sys.path.append("/usr/lib/armory")
from armoryengine import *

#See https://bitcoinarmory.com/developers/python-scripting/

if len(sys.argv) != 3:
    print "Please pass wallet file, followed by hex encoded unsigned raw txn"
    sys.exit(2)

walletPath = sys.argv[1]
hexRawTxn = sys.argv[2]

wlt = PyBtcWallet().readWalletFile(walletPath)
# Register wallet and start blockchain scan
TheBDM.registerWallet(wlt)
TheBDM.setBlocking(True)
TheBDM.setOnlineMode(True)  # will take 20 min for rescan
# Need "syncWithBlockchain" every time TheBDM is updated
wlt.syncWithBlockchain()

#Translate raw txn
pytx = PyTx()
print("Encoding raw txn: %s" % hexRawTxn)
binTxn = hex_to_binary(hexRawTxn)
pytx.unserialize(binTxn)
tx = PyTxDistProposal(pytx)
print("\n\nOutput is:\n%s" % tx.serializeAscii())

TheBDM.execCleanShutdown()

After signing with Armory, you can click "Copy (Hex)" which will copy raw transaction which you can broadcast via Blockchain.info or other sites which offers this.

Edit: Below link may help you for broadcasting transactions if Blockchain.info isn't working or is offline.

2216  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [NOW AVAILABLE] BTChip / Ledger HW1 : Bitcoin Hardware Wallet in a USB smartcard on: May 13, 2015, 01:29:54 PM
Hi can I use the same wallet I use for my other ledger products on this easily?

If you backup the seed, you can restore it in any of your HW.1.
2217  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor. where are the Private keys stored ? on: May 13, 2015, 01:25:59 PM
If you break your Trezor I was under the impression you need to purchase another trezor in order to get your bitcoin back. which is impractical and the only reason why I don't like the idea of a Trezor
Trezor is Open source.. black arrow ( who's not a good reference...  Wink ),had already use it in their own hardware wallet, and i presume they are not the only one to implement it. so, in the case or you break your Trezor, buying a new one to recover your coins isn't an obligation.
ie:  https://www.blackarrowsoftware.com/store/ewallet.html

I see. It's a shame that you can't access your private keys or import the wallet file into some other wallet clients without buying a exernal unit. You might only have a small amount of bitcoin in the address and it requires you to buy another unit which kind of defeats the point of recovering small amounts

Have you read third post? If you backup seed, you can recover it without buying a new Trezor. See https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Deterministic_wallet to know about seed.

ooh, i just use my recovery seed with a wallet which supports the seeds i guess ?
exactly. if you break your device, just import your recovery seed into a new trezor,  and you're done  Wink with Trezor your Bitcoins are safe. Wink

Alternatively, you can use Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet for Android, Wallet32 and Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet for iOS but atm it supports 12 words recovery only.

P.S. I saw this in FAQ. I don't know if any other wallets support it but I can say Breadwallet doesn't support. https://github.com/voisine/breadwallet/issues/131

P.S.

Quote from: Wiki
A deterministic wallet is a system of deriving keys from a single starting point known as a seed. The seed allows a user to easily back up and restore a wallet without needing any other information and can in some cases allow the creation of public addresses without the knowledge of the private key.
2218  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for 0.07BTC Loan - Payback 0.1BTC Monday 18th May (18/05/15) on: May 13, 2015, 01:16:29 PM
Firstly I wasn't saying ponzi accounts were collateral. The collateral is my actual pay every other monday to my bank account which I would provide proof of. I do not need it for ponzi's. I also am in no way looking to do a runner or whatever you two are implying. If I am so dodgy, I would have lots of bad feedback?

I don't mind if no one wants to lend but there is no need for assumptions and no need to be rude Smiley

There are also many posts on here saying no collateral too so kind of makes some of your points invalid. Anyway, that is all Smiley

I was told that feedback was removed as was unfairly given. Seems it wasn't, I will be looking into and complaining about that.

Not unjust. Look at your posts. You are fully involved in HYIPs. It is a red signal.

Without collateral, no loan for you.

Fully involved would mean I made and ran them which I do neither but fair enough. If the mod wants to lock this post that's fine with me Smiley

I mean in this forum, you are involved in HYIPs. "Fully" may not be the right word, "mostly" is. Changed it.

Mods don't lock these threads. If you want, you can lock it by clicking "lock topic"(bottom left).
2219  Other / Meta / Re: Is asking for a feedback is wrong on: May 13, 2015, 01:06:23 PM
I believe OP is referring to exchange (or rather giving away) of goods and services with the intention to bump up own trust.
If it was to judge by your recent threads in games and rounds section, i believe that is what your intentions are.

 -snip-

True. I left a feedback(actually two) and he is asking about it. I think it is fine. Anyway, I will change it to neutral if I see he isn't doing anything shady.
but i will not remove the negative trust of mine from your account
you are giving free escrow services its k but you are also covering the fee i think its just to build reputation i think there is a big risk of a big scam from you and you are just building trust here People will easily leave trusted feedback on your account with this.

I didn't ask you to remove it but I suggest you to make the feedback better. Now it causes confusion. Make it like
