1961  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie accounts used for trolling on: May 18, 2015, 05:13:49 AM
I think posts should be reviewed before it being submitted instantly for noobie accounts. Might create  more work for mods to moderate the posts and approve or not approve each post but would stop a lot of spam and prevent trolling and any misconduct for new accounts being made until account is at least say 1 to 2 weeks old and then has sections reduced and more sections allowed to post in without moderation of post being submitted for review by mod.

I don't support this. This will be a heavy workload for staffs. It is better to deal with spam after it is made because they will get additional help from people who report posts.

By the way , what's a newbie Jail Huh Have heard it many times , i realize it something that stops newbie from posting too much or something like that.
Can i get a clear view on it ?

"Newbie Jail" is a term used to describe a small portion of the forum that newbies were restricted to.  They didn't have access to everything, hence the term "jail".

I don't remember being restricted at all when I was a newbie 3,4 months ago other than long posting and PM sending times.  Huh

Newbie jail was removed long back, way before you and I registered.

I will consider buying this, bit first, shipping issues need to be resolved.
Come to Skype.
Alright, in a while. Also, would it be possible for you ship it if I pay extra

Corrected quote. Wink

We can discuss about it. Send me a message when you come.

Thank You! I am aware that Escrow is required and is thereby updated!

I don't see the OP updated with the fact Collateral is required to be sent to an escrow...   Undecided

Are you trying to pull a collateral scam?

Rule 8. It needs a little update. There are free escrow services too. Telling to pay them may make a borrower give collateral to OP.

Rule 8: Escrow is Recommended but you have to pay for it

Thank you! Where/How are you planning to store raised funds?

Keep asking Muhammed Zakir!  Don't let him ignore your question!   Smiley

I am in a neutral position. I still haven't "clearly" understood about PICISI. So hearing both sides...

Thank you! Where/How are you planning to store raised funds?

That's a very good question but I don't exactly understand it, please rephrase the question with elaboration.

I don't understand. If you didn't understand what I asked, how can it be a very good question?

When you raise funds, you need to store it somewhere before giving it to the person who started crowdfunding or is the funds send directly to the user's address when sponsors fund it?

Armis, please don't ignore.
1965  Other / New forum software / Re: Can we expect the forum this year? on: May 18, 2015, 04:51:38 AM
Will there be any beta testing for some select members or previews or anything that was supposed to be released?

It is in first page. Didn't you read?

I remember seeing a post saying Beta will be available in early 2015. Now, it is about June.. I wonder when will Beta be released. Or maybe the administrators and some others is having closed beta.

It's a general purpose forum that's intended to compete with others. Once the theme engine is in place, we'll be able to get more involvement from the public. For now, you can check out the source. On top of that a beta is being evaluated with the staff at this point so please sit tight.

{...} where search users posts

If you are telling about limiting the search to a user and certain boards, you can do this by going to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=search;advanced.

and also have enabled search for topics created or maybe as a user option so that can find own created threads a lot simpler.

First suggestion is a good feature and IIRC it is already suggested. I support it. I don't know whether there is a need for second suggestion but it would be handy.

This is defiantly not a PGP signed message lol. There is no signature Huh

It's changed already, wayyyy before you compained!

It is still there. Can you correct it? Also, what do first two lines mean? Third line is hash of genesis transaction but I doubt that has any connection with this thread or that message.

Assuming this is a Bitcoin signed message,

(1) It is called Bitcoin address. No "key" in between thosd two words.
(2) Just message is enough and you should correct that message.
(3) It is called signature and it doesn't match with the message you gave.

Please re-sign if you want but a signed message is not mandatory for lending.

BitCoin may not be recognized as a currency but probably will never but you should treat it as a commodity!

This is wrong. Bitcoin is already recognized as a currency.

Its about time these extremists are dealt with.
They are all deluded and are giving Muslims a bad name.

We can't call them "extremists" because they don't know anything about Islam and don't follow most rules of Islam. It is better to call them "n00bs". Roll Eyes
1973  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: win .5 Bitcoin contest - give a new name to our company on: May 17, 2015, 05:16:24 PM
Can you escrow prizes?

P.S. A ~4 month contest? Shocked

We start contest before few days, and we
need to buy BTC for prizes with fiat money on exchanges.

Blockchain.info link with contest fund address will be posted on website soon

Yes, 4 month.... so everyone can submit their ideas and have enough time for voting

Your trust isn't good enough for us to ensure you will give the prize. So if you want more people to participate in this, you need to escrow the prizes.

1976  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS leader, Baghdadi, says "Islam was never a religion of peace. on: May 17, 2015, 04:49:25 PM
....
But what does it mean "jihad"? Sometime ago, I have asked one my muslim friend and he told me that it is not a question of  war/kill etc.... but jihad means an effort for 'you' to help others and spread the Islam religion. Now I do not think the ISIS members are muslim due this fact, they are not spreading the Islam (the contrary). Now I do not know if this is true (but I suppose : yes). Maybe someone here can say what does it mean "jihad".

http://islamicsupremecouncil.org/understanding-islam/legal-rulings/5-jihad-a-misunderstood-concept-from-islam.html?start=9

So basically (quoting some parts here):

- The Arabic word "jihad" is often translated as "holy war," but in a purely linguistic sense, the word " jihad" means struggling or striving.
- The arabic word for war is: "al-harb".
...
- The concept of jihad has been hijacked by many political and religious groups over the ages in a bid to justify various forms of violence. In most cases, Islamic splinter groups invoked jihad to fight against the established Islamic order. Scholars say this misuse of jihad contradicts Islam.
- Examples of sanctioned military jihad include the Muslims' defensive battles against the Crusaders in medieval times, and before that some responses by Muslims against Byzantine and Persian attacks during the period of the early Islamic conquests.

What the hell ? It is destroying all the concept, proclaim themselves muslim it is so simple ... but be a muslim is really 'hard'.

I agree with last sentence. If you want to read more, you can read more articles by going through 'ARTICLE INDEX'.

Quoting from that website:

 - Jihad is not a violent concept.
 - Jihad is not a declaration of war against other religions. It is worth noting that the Koran specifically refers to Jews and Christians as "people of the book" who should be protected and respected. All three faiths worship the same God. Allah is just the Arabic word for God, and is used by Christian Arabs as well as Muslims.
 - Military action in the name of Islam has not been common in the history of Islam. Scholars says most calls for violent jihad are not sanctioned by Islam.
1977  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin/Altcoin cloud Mining on: May 17, 2015, 04:43:47 PM
Hi,Im currently looking into start cloud mining since my electric bill is to high to mine at my house and what is the best place to cloud mine for bitcoins and/or alt coins. My budget right now is 220.

If you want to profit from cloud mining, try the one in my sig. You do not need to trust me or listen to any of the trolls over here. Check third party review who invested themselve and reporting return : http://www.cmmonitor.com/24-cloudmining-website.html

What he said is true that ROI with cloudmining.website is fast but note that, it is a ponzi and it can collapse anytime. Be careful investing and do your own due diligence. Caveat emptor.
1978  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: ▁ ▂ ▄ ▅ ▆ Cloudmining 101 (ponzi risk assessment) ▆ ▅ ▄ ▂ ▁ on: May 17, 2015, 04:26:08 PM
It was confirmed the day Bit-X failed to provide a mining address and hash power sold data in real time.

True. BIT-X didn't provide mining address.

That day it became clear that their contract with Bifury is just a vouch bought by bribing, like Hashie got a vouch from AsicMiner.

Possible but I don't think BitFury will ruin their reputation over some money.

Bit-X even failed to provide any payment proof.

There is no need to provide payment proof. Everything is available in Bitcoin blockchain.

Moreover their contracts are unprofitable anyway. Cheesy

Not unprofitable but will take more time to reach ROI than it take when investing in a ponzi.
