2841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everything we must know about ODDs in sports betting :) on: February 25, 2019, 03:48:16 PM
I prefer gambling in sports more than dice though because besides it's entertaining, you use to analyze real events that will also make you think rather than just rolling random numbers. If you are so hooked into a specific sports then it would really help you a lot as passion will kick in.

I play parlay most of the time and chooses teams win high percentage of winning rate even though it has less multiplier.

This is a reasonable explanation!
I sometimes wonder why sports betting is seen as gambling. There really could be skilful people who could make accurate sports predictions. If this is the case then it doesn't qualify as gambling in my opinion. Betting is more appropriate word. .
yes gambling is different from betting in something because we have some knowledge about something while we are getting is called as not gambling the perfect word will definitely be betting and we can use our skills and that but in gambling we not use the skills but only being supported by the luck.

Betting is a one kind of gambling. Whenever there is a speculation in anything, it comes under gambling. You predict something for risk and reward and it is called betting.  People use gambling and betting interchangeably and there is no harm in it.
2842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does this sound realistic? on: February 25, 2019, 03:25:01 PM

The theory is;
If you want to gamble, see it more like you are paying the casino or gambling platform to have some fun (just like you do to go watch some movies in cinema), which if you are paying for anything, you are not meant to expect it back. The good thing however is that, you can actually end up being paid more for having that fun if you get lucky, but the chances of seeing that happen is pretty slim. In that light, if you cannot actually live with doing what I said above, then you should not be gambling at all.
This theory of yours doesn't seem realistic to me because gambling most time is for earning and not for fun as you propose. Allow me to say this; gambling for money is the only means you can earn from gambling else gambling for fun as the primary aim will never generate money from that fun. So, gamble as if you want money and the end result will surely be profitable.

You cannot compare gambling and casino with movie watching etc. You pay for the movie and then enjoy it for some 2 hours. You do not enjoy by placing your money in gambling game and losing in a matter of seconds. Gambling is played with the aim of getting quick money and I don't think people only play it for Fun only.
2843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If gambling is illegal in your country, would you still gamble? on: February 24, 2019, 05:29:13 PM
I don't think that I will gamble if gambling is illegal here but fortunately, its not illegal in my country.
I think gambling online using VPN is the best thing if you really want to gamble and gambling is illegal in your country.

If you are responsible person, you will not violate the rules of your country and will not try to play gambling. Online  Gambling with vpn and Bitcoin can still be played without being noticed, but it is just your inner feelings which might stop you to play it illegally.
2844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: February 24, 2019, 05:12:51 PM
This is what I could not expect, Indian Cricket Team only manages to score 126 runs also MSD playing such a slow inning in a T20 match. It's a low scoring game. Hoping for a good fight back from Indian bowlers and obviously will keep my eyes until the last ball.

What a game! Last 2 balls needed 6 runs. 2nd last ball a four and two runs from last ball. Australia was nearly giving away the easy win but finally they won.

As I said in the other topic which is dedicated to t20
My pick is Australia - I do not know why but it's just how I am feeling now.

India really fought well to defend the low score of 126 in this T20 match. They only won in the last over and if the 2nd last ball was not hit for a boundary by Aussie, who knows, the result could have been different.
2845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does Martingale Work? on: February 24, 2019, 05:02:55 PM
Martingale would also burn you out if you don't know how to control yourself,
Yeah martingale could give you profit but it doesn't guarantee that you wouldn't lose,
You must set some limits to know when to stop.

Martingale may give you some profit but to know when to stop is a universal rule which every gambler must follow if they want to be in the safe zone.

martingale is actually very risky to newbie gamblers as they could end up losing their entire bankroll and it can happen in an instant. I am not against on this strategy but I wouldn't promote this one.

Well, every methods in gambling are risky, even me, I was once a victim of that method and what it gives is just a zero balance on my account. Though I'm not worried for losing that money, what I'm really worried is making it happen twice. Tongue

I just hope martingale also burns my fats even with my money Cheesy

I have never heard that anyone has won big on martingale strategy however it can be tried in few occasions.
2846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - A Game of Luck or Strategy on: February 24, 2019, 04:37:04 PM
Gambling is completely game of luck and it is either you are losing or wining.  I strongly believe that some of us has been making gambling for sometime now and it is very clear that there is no strategies in it.

I searched bitcoin gambling strategies online to see if I am missing anything regarding this, but unfortunately could not find good material on it. Surely the gambling is only depend upon luck and if you think you are lucky, then better try your luck in gambling.
2847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Disadvantages of Gambling on: February 24, 2019, 03:33:48 PM
The only time I was really addicted to anything was video games.  It used to be a really bad habit and took a great toll on my health as I barely slept. Luckily I haven't had the same affliction with gambling and I'm able to do it in moderation without any problems.
When I was younger I was also addicted with video games, well it's normal to gamers like us but there is no risk involve in terms of finances as during my time, we don't put a bet in games, it's just the new generation today loves to gamble in anything.  Addiction can really cause negative things into our life, though we are not in risk financially but your experience tells addiction can lead to damaging your health.

you guys werent alone as i myself is also addicted to playing video games but i dont inherit that behavior in gambling maybe because gambling cost a real money and i dont have a money at all times but let say i do have a money i think i will also become an addicted gambler .  thats the only disadvantage of gambling it involves a real cash .

serious addiction can lead to health problems and that can also lead to financial expenses because you need money to medicate your self  .

Gambling is a game of real money. If there is no real money involved, only children will play this, just as kids play video games which has no money involved.
Also with no real money, no one can get rich with gambling and it will just be a time waster for adults.

Disadvantages of gambling are huge and can't list at once. People lose huge money, waste time, energy and bevome desperate at one point. Most people avoid gambler and as a result he becomes alone too.

Yes, these are all disadvantages of gambling but if you can only win in gambling at some point and gain quick money, then all your loses are recovered and gambling remains no more disadvantage for you.
2848  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this the beginning of the arrival of a bull run? on: February 24, 2019, 06:08:09 AM
from the data that I got from https://coinmarketcap.com/ on February 18, 2019 I saw that almost all types of crypto currencies experienced very good developments.
Bitcoin experienced a growth of 3.42%, Ethereum 12.08%, EOS 10.45%.

Data and information sources: https://coinmarketcap.com/

is this the beginning of the coming bull run this year? or just the beginning of the price will fall again?
What is your opinion?

It's hard to rely on the sudden changes of the market. Every pump and dump is unreliable and we can't conclude from it. I think it is just best to monitor the prices and just wait for the bull run to come where we could all be sure of it.

I do not think we can call these increase in prices a bull run. You will see prices increases by 10-12% and then after few days dumping back. I think bitcoin first need to cross 6000$ and then 8000$ and after that we may assume the we are ready for the next bull run. Before 6000$, it is just a pump and dump market.
2849  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I wish I dump all the BTC in late DEC 2017 on: February 23, 2019, 11:54:55 AM
I 'm so sorry for your lost but there's is no need over flogging yourself for that.
Many of us made that same mistake .
You can still recover your loss by doing swing trading with the bitcoin you are holding.
It's helpful .
I do it too.

Time which is passed can never come again so there is no point in crying over it. Seeing the current prices, many people wished they could have dumped in 2017 but they didn't. Even I am still holding.

Well, at that time nobody had thought that the price of BTC would come down to such a low, instead many people thought the price would continue to rise and it would cross more than 50k.

The good thing is that there is still hope that bitcoin will rise and rise more than before. If bitcoin reached 50K or above, then those of us who are holding will really be rewarded well.
2850  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm so happy to receive a reward on: February 23, 2019, 11:08:16 AM
Then good for you. However, what is the value of this token? Yes, I understand that it is free but you need to understand the airdrop today is not the same as in 2017 wherein most of them have a good value.

I guess it's not a huge amount, because in this market condition almost all of altcoins don't have a good value. But, IMO it's not bad however he/she don't need to subscribe or follow several social networks from any platform to receive it.
I think the value of that coin doesn’t matter anymore since he’s so happy for that. We know that airdrops is not that big anymore, but if its free, of course it still better. The same feeling when I received my first profit out of nothing, for sure that is the beginning of all. More profit to come, always do your best OP.  Smiley

Airdrops rewards are very less unless you are lucky to find a one good hidden gem coin which really turn out to be a big one in the future. Although the value of airdrops coins are small but the feeling of getting some free coins is great and it can really make one happy.
I used to collect airdrops more often but then I stopped because now most of the airdrops coins never make to the exchanges.
2851  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto arbitrage for noobs on: February 23, 2019, 10:28:50 AM
A person would have to be mad to try this crypto arbitraging. Profit seems very unlikely.

Arbitraging does not work well in crypto and therefore it is least used. The price of coins are almost similar in all exchanges and it is very unlikely that we see any big differences in the price of a coin on different exchanges. In few cases, when an exchange disables the withdraw/deposit of a coin for a certain time we may see some difference in price but as soon as the withdraw/deposit enables the prices are again synced to be equal in all exchanges.
2852  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you need in A Cryptocurrency Exchange ?! on: February 23, 2019, 10:13:35 AM
Im looking for exchanges site who are have support daily and the security is very secure and the features will be updated everymonth and the withdrawals is instant and the deposited is only takes only 1 confirmation to use it and also the withdrawa fees and I think if that cryptocurrency exchanges site have that for surr most trader will be register and trade to them and Binance is the most perfect example for that who are the most trusted and popular exchanges site in crypto community.

Confirmations does not matter in withdrawals and deposits from exchanges. It is better to have 3 confirmations before actually deposits / withdrawal happens so that there can be no cheating. For me, the exchange should be user friendly and should have all the features like stop loss etc.
In many small exchanges, I do not trade because there is no option for stop loss to be used.
2853  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to find a mentor for trading on: February 23, 2019, 10:01:52 AM
Everybody is busy earning their own money. Unless maybe you have a friend in crypto

Many people are also offering their services to teach trading. You can also learn from them if they have some time and does not charge you much. But you should beware that there are few people who first give you some lessons on trading and suggest you to hand over their money to you so they can preform trading on your behalf. You should not accept such an offer as these people get people money and scam them.
2854  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Most Promising Cryptocurrencies to Invest in 2019 on: February 23, 2019, 09:42:50 AM
In my opinion the crypto that has potential to offer big profit in next bull market  is XRP, ADA,  NEO,  DASH,  ETH,  XLM,  WAVES, LTC.  These all crypto has possibility  to raise to the top price and if so we can make profit more than 10x,  even up to 20x. Many expert said we are already in the bottom,  so hold some of them for 1 or 2 years is very possible to earn huge profit.

All of these coins are good one but keep a special focus on ADA. Seeing its roadmap you will see it will soon start its Proof of stake in first half of this year and smart contracts will also be started on its chain making it a very valuable coin of the future. I think you should accumulate ADA on every dip as it can give us high benefit when its POS will be started.
2855  Economy / Economics / Re: In the future, will fiat currencies be necessary in the world? on: February 23, 2019, 09:25:20 AM
If you are thinking of total digitization of payment method than it will take 4-5 decade or more  but till that time fiat will be used for various physical transaction.not everyone is educated and have knowledge of digital currency ,it will take good amount of time when majority of population will be educated and will have digital hardware wallet like system for day today purchases but it will be difficult to implement it.
Do you think it could be possible to move from fiat to digital money in 4 or 5 year? First off, humanity and economy should ready for it. We need more years than you predict and during this time adoption will improve slowly. Do not think someone can run away from this, eveybody will have to use crypto when the time comes.

Even we do not have the complete infrastructure to move from fiat to bitcoins. Bitcoins needs internet to make the transactions and there were many places of the world where we do not find internet like villages etc. First we need to focus on technology and teaching people on how to use bitcoins. Once this is done, only then we can transform the currency from paper money to the digital money.
2856  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day Trading on: February 23, 2019, 08:53:26 AM
95% of all Day Traders fail because of lack of knowledge and timing. Day Trading is very difficult to apply in cryptocurrency trading. Why? Because cryptocurrency markets are unpredictable. It really needs more reviews and research before buying certain coin or token. I always advice new traders to spend their time to get to know the concept and the purpose of the projects or to DYOR (Do Your Own Research). Sometimes the reason why you buy certain coin or token because of hype or FOMO ( fear of missing out ) wherein you see your friends in social media enjoying what they hold. FOMO always happen anywhere in social media because it uses as a marketing strategy to manipulate the markets. Therefore, before diving into cryptotrading, always make sure to DYOR!
All that depends on the abilities we have. As long as we have the ability to analyze and always pay attention to the market situation, we can get good results. Continuously monitoring the market is a must for a day trader, a day trader must be able to make decisions quickly and precisely !!

Even the good and experienced traders find it difficult to do day trading in the current time where mostly the coins are dumping. Day trading is very much profitable in the bull market as we know that every now and then the price will move up giving a lot of profits in all the coins in short term.

In bearish times, it is almost impossible to cash out profit on daily basis as the market does not move that much and midterm hold is more better in such days.
2857  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing in Bitcoin in 2019? on: February 23, 2019, 04:58:23 AM
despite the face that the crypto world is like hell nowadays, im still seeing this like a great opportunity because the value of all coins are decreasing, its like a bonus this to us investors, so instead of weeping, why not invest from it, right? this is the good time to invest more especially bitcoin.
in all situations bitcoin traders must take advantage of existing conditions. this can be a suitable investment opportunity, because at low prices we can have a chance, you will get a big profit in the future.
Of course we should try to take advantage and hold our money to buy some coin, it is golden chance for all investors to get in, last year price fell down but everything happens for better, if price is fallen in 2018 we can now afford it double so better buy more and more saving and hold it will be good for your coming life to store some coin for December 2019.

I think that these days storing bitcoins and altcoins is more profitable than short term trading because we do not see big movements in any of the coins which may give us 2x or more.

For the current price, it is very low compared to 2017, but bitcoin can still allow it to recover and can provide benefits. I think bitcoin is still feasible as an investment that can provide benefits.
in next several months bitcoin will shows its power.it will back to bullish trend after more than one year bitcoin price down.for bitcoin holder we have to believed with our goals investing in this market.we have to able to gain profit with our investment in bitcoin.so dont sell it in low price.

Even if the bitcoin does not grow much in the next several months, I think the best thing is that it can also cannot go below this point, so our investment is safe for the longer term.
2858  Economy / Economics / Re: Is wallet security important to use? on: February 21, 2019, 04:49:49 PM
If you hold for a few hundreds of dollars or more of crypto then buy a hardware wallet. And store the bigger coins like Bitcoins on your hardware wallet. Hardware wallet are the saves place you can hold crypto. Keep your password a safe place. Be your own bank. But don't be paranoid, you can hold a few procent of your portfolie on bigger exchanges so you can trade, when you want to.
Having a hot wallet for day trading is good idea, but for a few hundred dollars it is not necessary to buy hardware wallet. As a suggestion, there are other options like paper wallet for storing cryptocurrencies.

Strong in wallets is always very good option but we need to allow them to secure them by taking all steps of security. So we have to store our coins in different wallets by securing them by taking all measure of security which it will surely avoid the people to hack our wallets.
how safe our wallet is, of course, do not put assets in one wallet, because a large exchange with a high level of security can be cracked. therefore by storing it in several wallets it certainly provides more security, besides what you have already explained
saving our asset in several wallet could be solution for us.maybe we could save it in online or offline wallet.but i think save our asset in offline wallet more secure but we have to store this key in save place and must not forget its place.

The most safe way is to use the hardware wallet to store our coins. If we store them in hardware wallet they can never be hacked. Even if the hard ware wallet is stolen or lost, our coins will remain safe as long as the private key of the hardware wallet is not compromised.
2859  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin prices will continue to fall on: February 21, 2019, 04:38:02 PM
Well as for now it has settled for a price that isn't moving so much. Also we need to stop this from spreading , to benefit from the rise of BTC we need to emphasize what's only good on BTC to encourage many people to buy  even though it has such a small price. Of course if the results are good then that scheme would turn into a reality some day so please share some positivity.
It was already stabilize at the 3k USD range market price for bitcoin. Which means that it is still best to invest now while market price is low. DO not wait for over time to make bitcoin market price goes high and buy. This will relatively let you get a huge potential of loses when market price for bitcoin goes down again.

Bitcoin is near to 3900$ now but I am not sure will it cross 4000$ or more. If it dumps again, then the altcoins will fall again more than 10 or 20% which will not be good for the market. Bull Run has not started still and the first two months of 2019 are about to End. Sad
2860  Economy / Economics / Re: JPM Coin, the JP Morgan coin on: February 19, 2019, 05:23:56 PM
So, this is an another centralized shit coin?

How funny to think that this JP Morgan do really opposes Bitcoin and now tending to make his own.He might gain some traction but wont really be that high compared to Ripple.

JP Morgan intentions seems to be greedy one. There is no project behind this coin and it is only JP who wanted to get benefit by creating and then selling this shit coin. We cannot compare it with XRP, because Ripple is very much established coin and it has lot of banking partnerships.
