2221  Other / Meta / Re: Why not tokenize the forum? on: December 08, 2019, 02:42:50 PM
As is there are plenty of spams and plagiarism already in the forum. Tokenizing the forum would simply increase it multi fold. There is only one authority for Bitcointalk.org and that is Theymos. Hence, there is no point of extending the authority. There are quite a few other more important things to implement than something like tokenizing the forum. I vote for 'No'.

As I understand from theymos reply above, he is also not interesting in developing the token for the forum. A token for the forum will be infact centralized one which no one needs. Also the forum token may be valuable in the start, but it the long run it will join the dust, so i also prefer a No for this idea.

Sorry but I can't resist asking here that are you seriously betting on a draw ?  There is no way in the world this T20 can be tie unless the match is abandon because of the rain. Your chances of winning here are only 1/100.
Seriously? I think you might have made a mistake here Royse since John is right and your chances of winning this are extremely low. You probably thought this was a test match and decided to go with a result.

If you actually predicted a super over successfully, you would deserve to win at x10000 odds in my opinion. You still have enough time to change the pick though.

Guys, his bet is only to keep pool exciting and alive. He (including me) not looking for any win per se but only engagement with the community. you can understand that @Haunebu because you are regular.

We are not attracting much interest, which is understandable because we are still very tiny community

Sorry again, but making illogical / Strange bets can make the pool alive . How ?
If the community is small, then it will not become big by these bets. Something more logically needs to be think of.

If someone bet and he suffers a big loss and then goes here to ask a little help from you, are you willing to give him help?
Have you ever experienced something like that, how do you deal with this loss?

It depends upon what can of help he need ? Sociological help or a financial help. I may not help him  financially unless I see he has some good job or business and he can pay me back. I am saying this because I actually help my friend in such a situation and to my surprise he again bet on the loan which he got from me and lost that amount also.  Angry

Im leaving crypto If I Don't make money soon!!!

Better leave it now because the longer you stay in this crypto trading with the attitude of "Making money soon", you will end up losing all of your portfolio. Trading in no longer a quick money making business. It is the game for the those who can invest for longer time with patience.

1. Address to send your winnings: Update later
2. Bet amount: 0.0001 BTC
3. Your Pick: Draw (Tie)
4. Tx (if any):

Sorry but I can't resist asking here that are you seriously betting on a draw ?  There is no way in the world this T20 can be tie unless the match is abandon because of the rain. Your chances of winning here are only 1/100.
2226  Other / Meta / Re: |What of a 2FA (using the signing btc-address) for the forum! on: December 08, 2019, 09:48:47 AM
I thing that it would be very great, the smartest two-Factor-Authentificator ever made !
Just need to sign a message auto-generated, enter the signature, and it's done !!

Would be a very efficient way securising the Bitcointalk accounts. after enabling, can asked a verification just for Email / password changing.. for just the major operations!

There is a mixed feeling on the topic about the 2fa to be implemented in the forum or not.  Stake your Bitcoin address here is already a good option to get back your account if ever hacked. Also a hacked account is always tagged on request of the original owner and it becomes of no use for the hacker to be use in bounties or whatever purpose.

3. BitcoinTalk Signature Campaigns: This is the most and popular ways you can eran more bitcoin with your expensive skills. If you want participate signature campaign then you need good rank and high post quality. Because here campaign manager will be follow your post quality so knowledge must have the crypto world.
What's up with *eran instead of earn? Do you have a broken keyboard or are you just a shit poster?

Who said earning from signature campaigns is an expensive skill? You literally just express your opinion or share your knowledge along with promoting a service. This is not rocket science. This is the main reason why the forum gets so many spammers.

What is this negative in your comment? You should thank him for the topic that is useful to beginners and others, One letter written by mistake that person became a shit poster? Excuse me, you're an overpriced person, Everyone here expresses his opinion and let this negative and you must be a positive person, a signature campaign not rocket science, but write comments on different topics and discussions needs experience, so why pay these campaigns money to people if it is as simple as what you mentioned, I benefited from this topic and I hope the creator of this topic to do new and useful topics and does not care about the frustrating and pessimistic comments of arrogant people.

Perfectionist doesn't belong here. A person like that have no place in a thread like this. Don't let yourself disturbed by negativities. Just ignore those dumb statement like that, that will not help to develop our economy and society.

Focus on your goal, focus on helping other people by giving your opinions and tips. Many people will benefit to this kind of topic, so ignore those negative people who want to ruin the thread. Maybe they aren't knowledgeable enough about bitcoin and crypto so all they have to do is troll you out.

As told by many, if you need to earn bitcoins, you need to work for them and same goes for bitcointalk Signature campaigns. Only the quality posters get selected in good campaigns and are paid for the work.

And why can't I add a picture to my signature???

Because you have the avator to add your picture.

2229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are altcoins going to get the mainstream like 2017? on: December 07, 2019, 05:01:23 PM
I think your friend is right. Many of the altcoins will die surely as most are not even sticking to their roadmap plans. I will advise people to focus only on projects that are working and operational or better still just invest money in the top coins Btc and ETH

In 2017, there was craze about altcoins and everyone was thinking that many altcoins will go high in value like bitcoins. but that did not happen and now everyone has realized that a lot of money is gathered in the name of altcoins and there are no real projects behind. The Altcoin season may come again but it will not be as big as the previous one when even the shitcoins gave good profits.
This time around only the best altcoins will survive and rest will die.
2230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 07, 2019, 01:28:29 PM
~snip~

He was struggling to get his touch back. He was having difficulties to chase down runs in T20 and ODI. But I think today he just gets back his magical touch and wins it for India. Two of his flick and the last six were best of the match.

Undoubtedly India is one of the possible winner of the upcoming T20 world cup. The fashion they win the matches is a beauty to see. I was thinking a win for WI after having that much run in the scoreboard but I was wrong. Good thing that I was not in gambling mood or could lose money easily. India made this chase so easy that it never felt that it was 200+ runs to chase.

By the way, I like the way Kohli finished the match and also the celebration of the winning hit. This guy is a legend although  he still has a long way to go to get his name next to the other legands like Sachin.

There was a time when cricket meant India and Pakistan but now it's only India.

It is difficult to suggest who will be the winner of next T20 world cup because it will be held in October and there is still a lot of time for the teams to prepare and come strong to this cup. I am also looking to see South Africa could perform well as an underdog team in the next WC. Their current rating is at No 4 and India current T20 rating is No. 5.
2231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for increasing and decreasing money on: December 07, 2019, 07:44:37 AM
Your post is so confusing.

You are encouraging gamblers to gamble but then again you said that it is not something that will increase their profit? Then why said it in the first place?

I think the post is not confusing at all, he is essentially saying the same risky gambling thing but in a different way. In both the case of win and the loss, it is the gambler who gonna benefit or suffer, so he should play gambling knowing the both side of the picture and not to be too much optimistic about winning.

Multi bet is okay for T-20 i guess, not much interested in ODI betting for now. seems time wasting series when everyone preparing for T-20 WC, don't know why BCCI organizing ODI with Windies.
Let's do both.

@Haunebu, I will come up with soccer soon. It's just I am a bit busy from last few days.

If you talk about the cricket there are very few matches in near future. We have India Vs West Indies ODI and T20 coming up but 90% of the people will bet on India. On the other hand football season is always on and you can have a bet on daily basis.
2233  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin readh 10000usd this year again? on: December 01, 2019, 03:16:39 PM
I most certainly say that it can within the next few weeks. Right now we are going through a big correction when you consider the $14,000 that was attained not long ago. Further we are just going through a FUD stage where it all began with bad news from china. but don’t worry about these momentary dips, Bitcoin has much more to give. with the trend bitcoin is taking presently, we may see bitcoin price at $10,000 in early 2020.

I am not sure if bitcoin can reach 10,000$ by December end when only less than a month is left. Bitcoin looks bearish is short time frame as it is being rejected at the resistance around 7700$ and now it is retesting the support near 7200$. Both of them are the key levels if it breaks the lower level, it will means more bearish trend for bitcoins.  Sad
2234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 01, 2019, 03:04:14 PM
Go get yourself the dictionary to understand what sarcasm means before claiming my statements "silly".
Anyways if in another match Pakistan won the toss, this is what they will choose.  Cheesy
Pakistan will pray for rain for the next two days so that they can draw the match, if not Australia will bowl them out pretty easily unless there is some incredible performance like we saw in the first innings from Pakistan where two players stood out when they were in deep trouble and rain is the solution for Pakistan to draw the match.

Practically the weather in Australia is not like that it keep on raining for two days. I am hopeful that Australia will easy win this match tomorrow and with that take the series. Pakistan has a lot to learn from the mistakes in this series and the coach/ captain has some serious business on hand to get this team going.
2235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will be Gift of Santa Claus in this Christmas for Bitcoin Hodlers? on: December 01, 2019, 01:36:59 PM
Now, I think the last 1 year is not good for the BTC hodlers. So, I just ask Gift of Santa Claus this Christmas for Bitcoin Hodlers?

Who told you it was not a good year of bitcoin ? Do you only consider 2017 the good year ?

Probably an opportunity to buy. Seems like a stupid gift but it is gonna pay off in a long run.
I won't sell all of my coins right now even if it looks like I already earned a lot since I was hodling during 4k mark of Bitcoin.
Probably gonna reward myself a coffee by selling a bit of my coins, since I can't still run into Starbucks to buy coffee using crypto as it isn't adopted yet  Undecided .

Yes, the most sensible advice which you can give to anyone or to follow yourself is to hold the bitcoins and buy if you have some spare money. There is no other investment which is better than bitcoins right now. Just hold your coins till the end of 2021 and thank me later.  Smiley
2236  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What constitutes spam and how best to avoid it on: December 01, 2019, 11:39:42 AM
<>

It took me time to adjust to posting in a forum as opposed to doing that in a regular social media space.
I think effort is the most essential tool, put in effort to improve what you give out (research). And try to stay relevant too. In addition to offering helpful contributions, you equally improve your knowledge base and abilities.

Posts are mostly deleted cause of very poor grammar, or ot was off topic. Have a basic understanding of a thread before replying.
I am posting mostly only after some research about it but when replying to the generic threads not giving much attention that is why I need to change now I guess.Started to ignore mega threads and also will avoid the shitcoin section from here on which make me look like a spammer.

Grammar is also one of the thing but its readable I guess but I am not making much longer posts intentionally which is also spam IMO.

Avoid spam mega thread is the first step in the right direction. Secondly you can post anywhere without considering the length of the post and be natural.  The moment you try to extend the post without a reason but to write more, that's where you post become a shit post. Even I have seen few posts with a few words given merits, so quality and relevance matters.

2238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 30th South East Asian Games on: December 01, 2019, 05:56:18 AM
Do you also have a link of youtube channels where the South East Asian Games are broadcast live, as many of us do not have access to these channels living outside Asia.
There are plenty of youtube channels broadcasting but the coverage is for a single game only. I can't find a website that covers all.

Can you give the link of those plenty youtube channels ?

If you are going to bet on rankings, you take this in consideration and don't place the host anywhere below #3.

I would place the host on No. 1 Position. I would also like to know the odds for the Philippines.
Do let me know the platform where the bet can be placed on the overall ranking ?

2240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 01, 2019, 05:14:29 AM
David Warner hit the tripple century. It's the ever first tripple century at Adelaide Oval. Pakistan once again will lose the match for innings certainly; it's 2nd session of the 2nd day. Warner has the chance of moving it to 400.
If the Australian captain did not declare the innings we would have seen the highest Test score and i am confused why he declared the innings with plenty of time as this was just the second day and he could have given Warner the opportunity to score the maximum runs, it is shame on the captains part as Pakistan is struggling as they already lost six wickets and the innings defeat is inevitable.

Good captain and teams do not care for the individual records and do what is best in the interest of the country. The Aussie captain took no chances even he know Pakistan will lose the match and can be easily bowled out. But since the wicket seems dead he thought to take no risk and give their bowlers enough chance to bowl Pakistan out twice.
