2061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you borrow money as your bankroll if you trust your skills in gambling? on: February 26, 2020, 04:13:16 PM
I am currently thinking of making an experiment on my own, I have friends who are willing to lend me money for whatever purpose I like.
For this purpose, I like to use the money that I will borrow as the bankroll in sports gambling.

Anyone here have tried this? What can you recommend?

If I were you, I would not risk this. It been said many times that do not do gambling with the lending money. It will make things worse for you if you are unable to with in the gamble.
Also note that skills does not count in gambling, so no matter how much confident you're in gambling, you cannot be sure that you will win.

Multan Sultans vs Peshawar Zalmi, Match Prediction
According to the current situation of the game, it can be said that Multan Sultans is more likely to win. Because, they have powerful skilled batsman like Rilee Rossouw and James Vince to bat in the 2nd innings. I hope joy is waiting for Multan Sultans.  Cool

Its still anyone game because Multan also did not start well and are 2 down with only 10 on the board. They are chasing a low target of 124 and only one partnership of 50 might make things favorable for Multan. Peshawar Zalmi needs wickets because they did not bat well on this wicket.
2063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 25, 2020, 02:39:42 PM
I could say that India lost the first test because Rohit was rested, Rahul not given a chance as WK batsmen and so on, but that would be a complete lie. I was completely disappointed with the recent performance and NZ clearly dominated. No Indian batsmen were able to stay in the crease for a longer period of time and put runs on board. Hope they don't continue this poor form in the upcoming matches

So there could be any of the below possibilities for the India losing the tests/ ODI

1- They were over confident especially after white wash NewZealand in T20
2- They were tired after playing a long Series with Australia and now NewZealand
3- They try to experiment too much

India has played their worse in this test match and in the ODIs and NZ had not to struggle even once in 3 days. Getting less than 200 in both innings and being unable to restrict the other team means they can't bowl well nor bat well. Virat blames the toss now and feels 220-230 would have been a good score. Is he the same person who used to not follow up despite having made 400+ runs last year? Now he'll say Test match is not our priority as we are focusing on T20 WC.

Is it not that since Viral is unable to score big in the match and Indian team is struggling ? Previously Virat and top order performed so well, that Indian middle and lower order was never tested. But this time since the upper order failed, there was no backup plan at the middle and lower order. Sometimes i feel Indian team depend too heavenly on star batsmen like Virat and if they fail, the whole team collapse.
2066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep a spreadsheet for you wins and losses for tax purposes? on: February 24, 2020, 09:23:35 AM
While ago it just hit me when i won more then usual that in the future if bitcoin goes parabolic, these wins in btc can be huge and i have to tell my banker where i got the money from and i guess i have to keep how much i spend it to make it for tax purposes too.

I was thinking that i need to start to keep a journal/spreadsheet on my wins and losses soon. I've been stalling and avoiding it because i might not like what i see, i don't even know if i am on the plus side anymore. I am not sure how crypto gambling taxes go in here but i thought that it wouldn't hurt to have a record of my transactions in it while i am studying it.

So, i guess my question is that are you keeping a track of your wins and losses and for what purpose are you doing that?

Why would you do that unless you are living in a country where gambling is legal and you are getting money directly in your bank accounts. If you gamble online and store your money in crypto, no government will be able to know that you posses any assets. If you need to cash out in local currency, do not do it all at once. Try to cash our slowly and in small amounts and you will be save. You do not have to declare in your tax returns that you are a gambler.  Wink
2067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Leave gambling, if it destroys you. on: February 24, 2020, 07:38:36 AM
If we're concern about our future situation then we should know our limits. We all know the risks of gambling addiction so we must not have it as a regular source of income because there's no guarantee of winning in gambling.
The result of our gambling mostly base only in our luck and it will be a big risk if we'll only rely things in our luck without even having a small assurance of gaining something.
We should know when to stop and when to continue so we will be able to handle our funds wisely.

Its difficult to know when to stop and no one can stop at a perfect time.

1-If you are winning in gambling, you keep on playing because you think that you can win or earn more from gambling.

2-If you are losing, you keep on playing because you think you can play more and recover your previous loses.

The only way to play safe is to set your targets prior to playing like you will stop playing if you win certain amount of money and you will also stop if you lose certain amount of money.

I don't think they need a miracle or anything. The Indian bowlers can destroy the NZ batting lineup if they bowl the right lengths. All the batsmen need to do at this stage is to drag the game for as long as possible and post a target close to 250 minimum.

Sharma and Ashwin are already performing currently. If Bumrah joins the party, they can do wonders. Also, if it starts raining again, it could possibly end up in a draw. This is why test results are always tough to predict.

Target close to 250? Not happening. Currently, they are trail by 40 runs or so. Rahane, Vihari and Pant are the only batsmen left for India, I don't they'll be able to score another 300 runs tomorrow. Even if they miraculously manage to post such a target, there is still one day left for NZ to win the match. So this match is a goner for India.

Target was only 9 runs which NZ made them easily. We were hoping that Indian could fight back or even if they lose, they lose it while fighting but the match was one sided and was a disappointment for the Indian fans.
Next test is on 29 on February and i am hoping Indian team would make some serious changes in their lineup.
2070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs. Fury II: The Rematch is On on: February 24, 2020, 05:15:11 AM
Officially, there is a rematch clause:

Quote
Deontay Wilder Has 30 Days To Exercise Clause For Fury Trilogy

There is a contractual clause for a trilogy fight - and Wilder has 30 days to exercise that clause - with the contest taking place in June or July.

https://www.boxingscene.com/deontay-wilder-30-days-exercise-clause-fury-trilogy--147028

So Wilder has a month to decide whether he wanted another part of Fury or not.

Regarding the gate attendance of the fight, it broke heavyweight records in Las Vegas

Quote
By the time they entered the ring Saturday night, MGM Grand Garden Arena was packed to capacity. Officials announced a sellout crowd of 15,816 and an MGM Resorts International official confirmed that the live gate for Wilder-Fury II broke the Nevada record for a heavyweight fight.

https://www.boxingscene.com/wilder-fury-rematch-broke-heavyweight-gate-record-vegas--147020

So there could be more money in a trilogy, Fury is a good seller and so is Wilder, and they could potentially earn more than the second fight.

So it look like wilder will agree to the third fight and/or he will be made to agree in the favor for the boxing association to get the revenue for this highly anticipated encounter.
If they agree to this fight, will it happen in Las Vegas or the venue will be changed ?

New Zealand is leading by 31 runs, Kane Williamson missed his century by 11 runs and Ross Taylor too lost his wicket after getting a good start, Ishant Sharma is the pick up bowler for India but the rest of the bowlers were disappointing and the fielding is sub par and if New Zealand is able to built a good first innings lead then India will be in trouble and the match could end in the fifth day.

What's wrong with the Indian Team. Before this match India have won all the 7 tests matches in the ICC World Test Championship and this might be their first loss. I do not think the match could be draw. NewZealand have more chance of win but they need to be carefully as not to give away the advantage they have by limiting India team to only 165 in their first innings.
NZ have still 5 wickets in hand and every run they score will make their position better in this test match.

Indian teams experiment is failing miserably. This new batch of newbies have failed to perform and the old boys have become over confident. They are struggling with their batting line-up. Newzealand on the others hand hsve come back strongly and after the big win in one day's they might win the test too.

I am tired hearing this excuse every time the Indian team is performance bad, they come up with the excuse that they are experimenting with new players. This is not professional way. You do the experiments with less experienced teams and not with the strong teams like NZ. Either bring back the old experienced players or accept the defeat.

2076  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] LocalCryptos Peer-to-peer crypto marketplace that keeps you in control on: February 22, 2020, 06:42:17 AM
Seeing as this is now for "Cryptos" and not just for a specific coin like ETH or BTC, I'm guessing there are also plans on adding other popular cryptocurrencies in the near future? XRP, EOS, TRX or LTC perhaps?

Yes. Over time, we'll add more cryptos that are useful and capable of non-custodial escrow.

Litecoin will soon be listed on LocalCryptos as it won the votes to be listed.

Votes:
LTC got 3,039 votes
Dash got 2nd with 2,043 votes
EOS got 552 votes

Any idea when Litecoin will be listed ?

They have not given any Estimated time for litecoin listing on the site. I think it may take one or two months but its just a wild guess. Here is the official wording about the listing.
Quote
We're beginning development to get LTC added to LocalCryptos.

This isn't as simple as flipping a switch. When we add a new crypto, our engineering team develops a new non-custodial escrow script to fit the protocol.

Shortly, we'll announce an ETA, and we'll let you know when it goes live.

I am not sure whether South Africa will be able to put up a strong fight against the visiting Australians (they managed to do so against England recently). If they succeeds in that, then the tour is going to be very interesting. Smith and Warner will be hoping to put all the bad memories behind them. But I don't think that the other two tours (WI/SL and Zim/Ban) will generate any interest globally.

South Africa failed to show any impact in the last T20 which was played yesterday with Australia, so do not expect much from them.

WestIndies are playing well in srilanka and have scored 142/2 in 32 overs. They have wickets in hand and they can score a reasonable target for the home team Srilanka. Shai Hope is not out on 73 and is the main focus for the WI.
2078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 22, 2020, 04:19:32 AM
Really poor start to this series as losing the top and middle order batsman so easily means their is no coordination and no discipline of batsman to stay on the pitch. OZ have just nailed this match as SA still require 122 runs in 51 balls and only 3 wicket left . Now only thing SA could do is play full 20 overs and make as much runs as possible.
South Africa is not in the greatest of form and i was expecting this to happen but they were struggling to make runs on the board let alone be competitive and that is what surprised me, Australia is in good form and they are continuing their form in this series and i am expecting a white wash from Australia if not we must see a miracle from South Africa if they are to win a match against a strong Australian team.
In recent years they have many on and off field issues which are hurting them and they will hurt them as well because they are not doing any thing for settling things quota system and too much inference from politicians killing merit system they will more down in coming days if they have solution of this all.

South Africa disappointed yesterday by scoring only 89 runs. They showed the poor performance and lost the match in  South Africa (Johannesburg), which is even more embracing. On the other hand, Australia captain Aaron Finch was very happy with his team performance and I am sure they will be seeing to white wash the series if SA continues to play the same poor cricket.
2079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About Compulsive gambling. on: February 21, 2020, 06:11:24 PM
I think I can pass as a compulsive gambler based on your description, After some regrets and realization, I got decided to reduce my activity and start changing myself. I've been a gambling addict for years and wasting countless money on my addictiveness. Friends and foes tried to change me before but I can't stop being the same, It's hard to get rid of being a compulsive gambler but it is possible. Try slowing down the activities and putting a limitation on yourself. It's almost a year since I start to change and it brings a significant change to my life. I also didn't seek professional help for my addiction. Just some deep realization I was able to change.

Changing is not impossible.

Changing is  impossible that is  "I am possible" but it requires a lot of time and dedication, just like you told your story of bringing a change in yourself took more than a year. Most gamblers , especially those who are in their 20s or 30s, may not be strong enough to control their addictions and habits. You need to be mature and strong in mind to be able to change yourself.
2080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 21, 2020, 04:11:29 PM
Lahore was 41/0 after 4 overs and now they are 98/4 after 13. That means that they could manage just 57 runs in 9 overs (from 5th to 13th). The spinners made the difference for Multan, after a horrible performance form both the opening bowlers (Sohail Tanvir and Mohammad Irfan) proved very expensive.

BTW... Australia is batting first against South Africa and Steyn got Warner out in the first over.

Yes, we are missing out on other T20 matches which are going at the same time also with the league matches. It was an eventful first over by Steyn where he got one wicket but also conceded two fours, one before the wicket and other after the wicket.

Also today we had  the first Women T20 world cup match and India- W beat Australia - W comfortably. There were not able to chase 132 runs and were all out at 115.
