Since players have an yearly contract, so they will be paid what is in the contract, regardless of whether they have matches to play or not. Back then it was entirely possible. Sri Lanka was a really good team, capable of giving strong competition to big 3 teams and India had a weak bowling attack (especially in the pace bowling department). And back then, Virat Kohli had just started his career, and was being overshadowed by heavyweights such as Gautham Gambhir, Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag.

They are running a program called retro live from what i understand as i have seen many matches replicating old matches and copy pasting the old commentary with a live score card , since there are no new contents they need to come up with something to make things interesting for the website so that they will have visitors and thereby have the revenue through advertisement. Of course; I don't think they will be displayed publicly, but at least google will have them recorded and stored, like everything you search on their browser/search engine So if by the end of the day, they (google staff or blockchain.info staff) search for their database, they could find the private keys ? That is really dangerous and people can lose their funds by their little mistakes like this. |

Its now very clear that there will be no IPL this year. The world is unable to deal with coronavirus and i doubt that we can even see any sports for 3 -4 money after the virus disappeared, as a precautionary measure.
Possibly without any spectators it may happens but we are not sure how long it will take to completely eradicate this virus.And also more research coming that corona 19 can end up as seasonal attack like sars so it may disappears as how it appears in most unexpected way but at the same time it may attack the people next season which maybe months or years. If you remember, the PSL last few matches were played without any spectators , but there were also not risk free. We had the news that one of the Players of a certain league showed the symptoms of coronavirus and the tournament was immediately stopped. The idea of playing without spectators is good one, but this virus is far more dangerous and no player would want to take any risk. |

It was very quick and in around 20 days we are experiencing the opposite news now the media people are busy spreading fears among people especially those politicians in some of the countries. I hope everyone is listening qualified doctors and not listening the social media experts. Surprisingly majority of Indian media house and politicians are acting very responsible in comparison of many countries (it gives some hopes) and they are avoiding unnecessary fear-mongering with one motto. "Take precautions but no panic" Most of good reponses coming just because of Italy Spain because too many Videos on social media and peoples realizing if they will not act as good citizen then surely they will be on losing side like these countries so good and responsible is in their own favour hopefully this all will end soon and we all will be normal. Schedule of all T-20 Domestic leagues. You can see other countries already has their own T-20 leagues to run and in between everybody has International / Bilateral cricket commitment as well. So i would be very surprise if IPL moves into Q3 or Q4. Its safe to say No_IPL this year. Edit : And don't forget we have T-20 world too this year (Oct). Even WC could get cancel if situation gets out of the hand. T-20 World cup will be in 2021 as now its going to disturb PSL next year or may be played in February today check few talks about CPL as West Indies Cricket Board is still in limbo about this event but will announce all in next few days things are not good for this years IPL hopefully we will able to be normal in next few months. If we move any tournaments, there will be lot overlapping between the tournaments and some players may not be available for some tournaments. Since we have cricket all over they year, there is no free space where tournaments can be shifted. The only option is to cancel the tournaments which cannot be played on the scheduled time. |

Ah... Nice to see you both getting unbanned early. Since the ban lift, I see both of you are on a posting spree maybe because of the lockdown  I do not know JSRAW's case but I was boring AF and now enjoying every bit of my freedom lol. Fact is I have nothing much to do these days until things getsl normal again. Believe or not but this month i got shitload amount of work and i am working on deadlines. Every office around the globe shutting down and everyone passing a projects to freelancers. I shouldn't say this in current World wide crisis but for me its like X-MAS. I am already workaholic so all good, the only thing i am missing out is my GYM. This means that freelancers are getting more income in these days when rest of the people are waiting for their business and offices to resume. For the rest of us, would we be becoming bored by lockdown in home without any cricket to watch on TV ? I sometimes watch the old matches highlights of previous PSL and IPL but that's not that much entertaining. |

Lockdown for 21 days! That's very hard for a nation with this large number of population. I can imagine the poor citizens who do not have enough to bring food in their mouth. Is your government doing anything for them? What is their plan for them? By the way, welcome back. No IPL will be boring lol Still lockdown is better than a curfew. In lockdown essential services are still working. By the way if you have not heard in the history of Indian railways this is the first time that all passenger services have been cancelled. It has been lockdown everywhere and not only in Asian countries, although I do believe that its much harder for the under developed country public to deal with the lockdown situation as compared to the developed world. Never thought that there could be time when there would be no cricket anywhere in the universe. |
