Rain has hit the game. Hopefully we don't see some overs being cut-off from the match. Destroys the beauty of a T-20 game :/

Long back, I remember some of the Australia vs South Africa ODI matches being played in stadiums with retractable roof. I can't recall the exact venue, but I guess it was either Melbourne or Sydney. If they have such facilities, then why can't they make use of it? The BCCI should also consider this option as the climate change has made it very difficult to schedule the matches. Recently, a large number of matches in the Vijay Hazare Trophy were abandoned as a result of rain. The BCCI is a cash rich body, and they can build such stadiums if they want.

Are you talking about these cricket stadium ? There are not many of these in the world yet.

Quote
Docklands Stadium, also known by naming rights sponsorship as Marvel Stadium, is a multi-purpose sports and entertainment stadium in the Docklands area of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

The Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia and Yorkshire's Headingley ground too have retractable roofing system

The last match of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Qualifier 2019 has just started. The final match is being played between Papua New Guinea and the Netherlands. The former is playing in the finals for the first time, and are relatively unknown outside their country. On the other hand, Netherlands is one of the more well known associate sides, having defeated England twice in the T20 format.

The Dutch playing XI includes a number of familiar names, such as Ryan ten Doeschate (Kolkata Knight Riders), Roelof van der Merwe (Royal Challengers Bangalore), Colin Ackermann (Leicestershire), Tobias Visee (Vancouver Knights), Paul van Meekeren (Somerset) and Timm van der Gugten (Hobart Hurricanes/Glamorgan).

Netherlands is looking to win this final. They have wickets in hands and they need only around 40 runs in last five overs. I have followed most of the matches in this qualifier series but very few of them are being close contested. The final is looking to the interesting as anticipated and I vote for Dutch to win it.  Smiley
2303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deontay Wilder Vs. Luis Ortiz II on: November 02, 2019, 05:55:44 PM
Because there are more big upcoming fights on this month wherein before their rematch. But you know it doesn't mean this is not an interesting fight.  Because this both legendary are very hype within the ring and it was a close fight honestly.  Both are very heavy handed .and on this rematch there's a possibility luis can knock oit wilder because if you saw the fight wilder struggling and always dizzy when luis lunching an straight job.  So this an interesting rematch also.

If there are many other fights , it does not mean that we overlook this match which is gonna held on November 23 at the MGM Arena in Las Vegas. In their last match which was held on March 3, 2018 , Wilder defeated Luis and I ma hoping to see the same result in this rematch. Wilder is defending champion and I don't think Luis can take this title from him.
2304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Rugby World Cup predictions on: November 02, 2019, 01:45:57 PM
Good win. Gents, it's been a pleasure. Let me know if there's another rugby thread ever please.

This world cup is a real memorable one and we have to wait for another 4 years to get the new Rugby thread.  Smiley

This picture is memorable and will not be unforgettable for a long long time.

Hats off to Japan for hosting such a wonderful event.
2305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 01, 2019, 07:29:44 PM
Are you talking about the 2021 World Cup? There will be a total of 16 teams, which means that at least 4 Associate nations will be there (could be more). But the format is slightly different for that tournament, as only one team will get qualification from each of the regional qualifiers. There are five regional qualifiers, one each for Asia, Africa, Europe, Asia-Pacific and Americas. Nothing unfair in that, as per my opinion.

So this tournament in Dubai is for the Asia qualifiers ?
When and where will be the other qualifiers like Africa, Europe and Americas ?

I am watching the Namibia vs PNG match, and it looks very suspicious. Namibia just needed 130 to win and they were cruising comfortably until the 10th over, when they made 55 or so with the loss of two wickets. But then the batsmen were just wasting ball after ball and even when the required run rate got to 12, the batsmen were just blocking the ball. Very suspicious.

So are you saying that this comes under match fixing ?  If Namibia did lose deliberately then it will be harmful for their own cricket future.
2306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 01, 2019, 04:46:02 PM
BTW we have T-20 WC Men Qualifiers semifinals today:

(1) Papua New Guinea vs Namibia
(2) Ireland vs Netherlands

Nope.. not today.. these matches are scheduled for tomorrow and in India both the matches will be broadcast on Star Sports 3. The finals will be played on Sunday, and ironically the final match is not being shown on TV (Star Sports will be broadcasting highlights from some past matches instead). I am happy with the semi-final lineup, as all the four teams are close to 100% consisting of native players. Personally, I want Netherlands and Papua New Guinea to win their matches, as these two are the most deserving ones.

Also, there is another edition of the T20 World Cup in 2021. There will be no global qualifier for that tournament. Instead the Super 12 teams would be gaining automatic entry, and the remaining 4 teams will be selected from the five regional qualifiers (one each from Asia, Europe and Americas, and the fourth team from the winner of the playoff between East Asia Pacific and Africa). The ICC is claiming that there is not enough time available to conduct a global qualifier tournament for the 2021 world cup.

I just do not get it. Only 1 team will qualify from T-20 WC Men Qualifiers directly to the ICC world cup T20 ?
I think they should select more than 1 team to the qualifiers as these teams have played so many matches and more than 1 teams deserves to be in the world cup matches.
2307  Economy / Exchanges / Re: LocalBitcoins and Tier verification's on: November 01, 2019, 02:39:22 PM
Again my Tier 1 verification got rejected, still don't know the reason. It's really a pain now.
I trimmed my beard and then tried to verify and got rejected again - so now I don't know any possible reason(s).

Localbitcoin has been a reliable exchange for over the years, but nowdays is impossible to trust anything and i don't trust localbitcoins with my KYC documents, what if happens like Binance? and then my KYC end up on some chinese telegram group?
Believe me or not, whenever I do KYC in any exchange my heartbeat rises to the maximum by thinking only one thing "what may happen in the future with my ID? Am I safe?".

Authorities force platforms to comply with KYC thingy and the platforms force us to do so but authorities don't assure us that our docs will be safe... Do they?? I don't know about it.

In most of the cases we have no choice or alternatives but to do the KYC. We have to trust these sites and hope that they will not misuse our documents. The only safety we can take is not to submit the documents on new untrusted sites like new exchanges or new ICO etc. It is ok to submit documents on local bitcoins.

2309  Economy / Reputation / Re: Cryptotalk 1 BTC Contest Manipulation on: October 28, 2019, 03:19:24 PM
I'm shocked that a forum paying 10 cents per post and giving a 1 BTC prize for most posts would have spam and cheating in it. Unthinkable. Wouldn't the greatest writers in history rise from their graves to fill that forum with masterpieces?

There is nothing to be shocked when it comes to Yobit in terms of money. When they can spend 10 Btc on this forum monthly , 1 Bitcoin is nothing for them.
The campaign had a 10btc budget for the 1st month

I only wonder why they pay so low in their own forum as compare to the rates they pay here. But in any case they are spending BTC like water and I do not think this will help them in anyway in the long run.
2310  Other / Meta / Re: How to get merit? on: October 27, 2019, 05:35:50 PM
Respect this post, as a newbie i dont know how to get some merit, is any one can explained to me by replying this post, your reply will be appreciated. Thanks a lot god bless.

I have checked all your 50 posts. Things for improvement for you

1- Try to involve in a discussion. I see you just post in discussion threads without any hint of discussing anything interesting. No body like to read the generic replies

2- Almost 40% of your posts are "Reserved for translation". If you are very good in translation, you may start your service for translation in services section. This way you may earn merit when you do good translation and help people and at the same time will earn some money too.
2311  Other / Meta / Re: The future of Bitcointalk: Low Ranking Top Merit earners in the past 30 days on: October 27, 2019, 03:44:13 PM
But undoubtedly some people got screwed by this, and if they have decent posts, by all means, give them the 250 or 500 merit that they need to rank-up.

Searching through the theymos posts regarding merit, i found this which is relevant and answer many of the questions here.
2312  Other / Meta / Re: Can FunCAPTCHA be used instead of ReCAPTCHA at BitcoinTalk? on: October 27, 2019, 05:11:05 AM
The CAPTCHA which Binance uses is categorized in Fun captha ? If not, then it can be used instead ?

Nope, Binance has its own in-house Jigsaw puzzle.

That's not developed in-house. That's why some other exchanges uses that too.

Quote
The company that developed this peculiar, new CAPTCHA, is a company called GEETEST. Based in China, their website claims they are the next generation of “behavior-based authentication”. Binance, which was only founded in July of last year, was the first crypto-business in the world to use their software, onboarding it in November.
2313  Other / Meta / Re: Merit source and signaturetalk.org on: October 27, 2019, 05:04:53 AM
I have a question, does bitcointalk earn money from ads? If so, by removing signature campaigns you might get a high quailty board but then it will decrease the user visits and rewards which is helping run the forum, might not last.

I just mean we should keep a balance, than going a berserk.

Yes, Bitcoin talk generates revenue from ads too as you can see from  Advertise on this forum - Round 289.
The Revenue from signature campaigns does not go directly to the forum admins. It only generates the traffic. The direct beneficiary from the signature campaigns are Managers and the ones who are selected and paid.
2314  Other / Meta / Re: Merit source and signaturetalk.org on: October 26, 2019, 02:29:36 PM
It has been discussed many times, you can promote signaturetalk.org instead of FBI.

Cryptotalk is the new signature talk.  Wink

By the way there is so much focus on "signaturetalk.org" so I decided to check whom does it belong and it is still available for anyone to register.
Not a bad name though  Wink

2315  Other / Meta / Re: Merit source and signaturetalk.org on: October 26, 2019, 02:05:40 PM
Everyone has their views on it but theymos decision will be final.
The purpose is to keep the signature and reduce the spamming caused by it.

Yeah, I'm thinking that a good response to sig spam might be to ban the person for ~5 days and disable all but the most basic styling in their signature for 60+ days. (With times increasing for repeat offenders.)
2316  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM: Bitcoin SV (BSV) - fake team member and plagiarized white paper on: October 26, 2019, 11:47:43 AM

2317  Other / Off-topic / Re: Overview on browsers. Which one should we use? Support free web while browsing. on: October 26, 2019, 11:17:18 AM
This does not mean that these passwords are visible to the google. They are all encrypted.
Then why does Google provide the option to encrypt synced data, which I assume the vast majority of users don't know about and don't use:
With a passphrase, you can use Google's cloud to store and sync your Chrome data without letting Google read it.

No one can be sure unless you or me work in google to know what's going underneath. Sometimes you have to trust their words if you want to use their services which are being used widely.

Quote
To keep your information secure, synced data is encrypted when it travels between your computer and Google's servers. As an added layer of protection, your saved passwords are encrypted on Google's servers using a cryptographic key. You can choose to encrypt your synced data.
2318  Economy / Gambling / Re: dbet.io - the ONLY bitcoin directly betting sportsbook. NO ACCOUNT NEEDED! on: October 26, 2019, 11:09:58 AM
  • No Account Needed - Simply send your bet’s bitcoins to a designated address and your winnings will be sent back directly to your Bitcoin wallet.
Who is the owner of the designated address?

The owner of the designated address is obviously the dbet.io team. Its a fairly simple answer.
I cannot believe such a question from your side.  Cheesy[/list]
2319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Rugby World Cup predictions on: October 26, 2019, 09:59:29 AM
Just putting some light on the history between the two teams before the actual big match. Its seems that NZ is far better team than England but i don't know why i am fearing the semi final upsets. I wish i am wrong.

Someone defeating New Zealand in rugby is like beating the United States in basketball or defeating Usain Bolt in a 100m race. Theoretically it is possible, but the chances are very very low... But look at the odds. Even if you bet for NZ, there is a good chance of getting some positive returns. I have seen odds up to 1.42, which means that if you are betting $100 on NZ, then you can get $142 if they win.

It has also become practically possible and the Giants are out of this race.
The unbeatable and the favorites are going to exit Japan today.

Final Score:  England 19   NewZealand 07
2320  Other / Meta / Re: [UNBAN APPEAL] account A7373 on: October 26, 2019, 09:55:01 AM
because I did nothing wrong, didn't do bad things.
Try to read my post.

Since you admit it that account belongs to you, now the interesting part is you sending merit between your own alt account https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2664587.msg27189067#msg27189067

I have some feeling you also sending merit with your friend too, cause they sending merit each other and the post who receive merit 95% at Bounty + ANN.

If they unblock the a7373 to me, I will no longer need this newby and I will not use it.
I, on the other hand, from the A7373 account, hated and discovered scammers who did not pay rewards to hunters and  investors. I did good deeds for society free of charge. And I continue to do this in a telegram.
Discover a scammer? Your account never makes a thread about a scam assumption at the scam board. Most of your post only at ANN Thread.

You will not get ban appeal for your ban case cause :
1. Bought an account (Your trust getting worst because of this)
2. Plagiarism
3. Evading Ban
4. Ban Evasion
5. Sending merits with your own alt account.

Its a pity that how many times we see that people come here to get some sort of appeal to unban or untag, and all of sudden their other alts and activities become exposed. In most of the cases ban is fair and so is in the case of A7373.
