2941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I'm confused on: October 14, 2021, 10:36:04 PM
When in this field, look at it from the long-term perspective, like 2 or 3 years plus. Therefore, if you are going to spend on building a rig, spend with spare money. Money you won't need to use in a long time. This will save you from selling your equipment or mined coins at low prices.

Also don't spend everything you have due to FOMO, there is always opportunity to make money.
2942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Safe place to buy an ASIC miner on: October 12, 2021, 11:57:53 PM
nhash.net is a good choice. I have bought my L3+ miners from them, ship fast and so far everything is nomal.
Looks like someone is lying here, Are you suggesting the site that's even offline at the moment?

It's also weird that domain is still brand new.

Caution should be taken if dealing with them.
2943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Venezuela Airport accepting Bitcoin on: October 12, 2021, 11:47:37 PM
I am not so surprised about the development in Venezuela. The country's currency has been suffering from so much hype inflation that they have been trying to make major monetary overhauls in the past few years.

Quote
CARACAS, Oct 1 (Reuters) - Venezuela on Friday launched its second monetary overhaul in three years by cutting six zeros from the bolivar currency in response to hyperinflation, simplifying accounting but doing little to ease the South American nation's economic crisis.
......

President Nicolas Maduro's government in 2018 removed five zeros from the currency due to high prices. That came a decade after the late President Hugo Chavez subtracted three zeros from the bolivar with the promise of single-digit inflation, which was not achieved.

This is where bitcoin plays a huge role to them.

2945  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 📝[Discussion topic] Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns📝 on: October 12, 2021, 10:24:29 PM
but their campaign isn't scam. Participants get paid for their posts. It's same like we had Yobit and some other services with bad reputation listed.
Users get red tag for joining campaign and I couldn't care less about it. Maybe they didn't knew about such penalty - but it's their fault. They have to make research before starting to advertise something.
The main point is that the folks behind 1xbit are scammers, so they should not get any sort of publicity at all. Anyone who has been around knows how much of a scam the casino is. Let's not try pretending like the mods that turn blind eyes to scam threads regardless of how many times they are posted.

We can make the decision not to publish their campaigns. It's not like members are tied up by the no scam moderation policy like the forum mods and admins.
2946  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Eckmar script reseller/scammer on: October 12, 2021, 09:44:53 PM
Could you please help add more detail of how the scam is being carried out?

I can add some negative feed back and flag the profile if there's enough evidence of the scam.

I see the thread of the accused is self-moderated and locked (Common practice by scammers) but I have failed to locate your deleted post. Can you help located it here - https://loyce.club/archive/members/338/3384310.html
2947  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ■■ Tviton.net - instant exchanger SCAMMED me ■■ on: October 12, 2021, 09:33:08 PM
Yes, I acted really impulsively, that's not usual to me expecially in crypto, I suppose too much time out of crypto weakened my good paranoid stance.

Update: cryptwerk replied me that they will investigate, I asked them to keep me in touch but no news for now.
I understand bro, sorry about the ordeal.

"To err is human" or so they say. Despite the possible loss of funds, It's a simple lesson that I believe you will massively learn from that this crypto atmosphere is filled up with so many scammers.

Please keep us updated. This thread could be helpful to future newbies and guest users.
2948  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM legal action - freedogeon.com on: October 12, 2021, 08:31:35 PM
Hi, they were something like freebitco
It means some lending, some faucet, some gambling if people wanted.

Yeah but first months they had only 5 star reviews because it was working...
Classical ponzi Cheesy

It ended by the end of 2020 I think

Screenshots here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5259941.0
Yeah, just checked out the thread and the site, it was a complete rip off from Freebitco.in
I don't know why most people didn't realize that it was a number one red flag alongside the Ponzi scheme like mode of operation

You might want to team with a number of victims to hatch up a good plan of getting the law to catch up with the culprit. Maybe you can start by forming a telegram group and the leaving the message about the group and contacts in different review sites like Trustpilot
2949  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM legal action - freedogeon.com on: October 11, 2021, 11:55:12 PM
What kind of business were they operating?

I have been trying to look for the archived version of the site all the way from 2020, but it's just blank pages. Checking on Trustpilot, it seems there are lots of victims as the last reviews are just negative.

2950  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ■■ Tvition.net - instant exchanger SCAMMED me ■■ on: October 11, 2021, 11:34:11 PM
If I will not have my money back soon, I will try to have fun turning their site into oblivion. I just want to be sure I'm not damaging an honest small site.

Monday I will write to cryptwerk, this is the second step. More to come.

I am starting to have some doubts if they are even genuine, as the "instant exchange" is just a month old. They just launched this September

How I wish you had consulted members. There are some good Instant exchanges that were compiled by them. I myself have used fixedfloat and godex in the past
2951  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Just a piece of advice needed here folks on: October 11, 2021, 10:56:20 PM
You need to have a plan, mate. Daily, weekly, monthly etc. Know when to say enough is enough, take profit and start a fresh with a new trade

If you don't have a plan, greed will mess you up, and by now I think you know how volatile the crypto market can be. Today your assets can be worth so much profits, while tomorrow it could be the opposite.
2952  Economy / Reputation / Re: Do you think Lightlord behavior is acceptable? on: October 11, 2021, 08:56:44 PM
When I did a little research, the account named @Zodiac1233 is another founder of bitvest. He's also lightlord's childhood friend (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=21720) . I tried to send mail but it could not be delivered. For now, I think we can reach the most accurate and clear information from the zodiac.

This is a good find. Most of his posts last year clearly show that he's part of the Bitvest team. Maybe a developer.

What is disappointing is that he has also been offline since August 06, 2021

I don't know if there are any issues coming up on Bitvest and 777coin, but I would certainly stop using those sites as a precaution.
2953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I have bought one antminer L3++ from a site on: October 11, 2021, 08:17:51 PM
Probably scam

Everything about wangduoyu.net is fishy and the info about their company headquarters seems to be false

They even photoshopped the building

Quote
Wang Duoyu is located in Chengdu, Sichuan, China, and has been focusing on mining machine sales for many years.

But apparently it' a facility of another company - https://whatsupusana.com/2016/12/usana-china-facility/

Members, be very careful with such sites. Most of them end up scamming people.

Please note that the Goldshell KD5 is already sold out from the official site - https://www.goldshell.com/kd5-kadena-miner/

The site is also barely a year old - https://www.whois.com/whois/minerbrother.com
2955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Safe place to buy an ASIC miner on: October 11, 2021, 12:05:20 AM
Alibaba stopped all its sales of ASICs as of 8th of Oct21.

Now there are other sites fighting for each share like madeinchina etc
Who even spends that much and buy ASICs from sites like Alibaba or Aliexpress?

I know some merchants have the Trade assurance program, but there have been several complaints about people buying equipment that stops working after a few weeks..... well, after the trade assurance period has expired.
2956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Veil has no future? on: October 10, 2021, 11:54:35 PM
Not every coin you hold is going to be as successful as Bitcoin or any other good altcoin at the moment. Only a few make it to the top, while countless others stay down or even collapse. If you want to know about the reality. Just look at the altcoins that have been creates since the inception of Bitcoin.

Market is all about demand and supply.

My advice, is just look out for another coin with good potential and move on.
2957  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: There is a regular range of fluctuations in the market, how should we trade? on: October 10, 2021, 11:41:04 PM
Trading on a sideways market or consolidation phase doesn't seem as easy as it looks, especially when one is trading futures or margin.  Personally, during such time, I avoid trading because it's the time I have made huge loses. Probably my trading strategy doesn't work under such conditions, but it's worth noting that it's not automatic that things will work out well always.
2958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: best paper wallet for paxos (usdp) on: October 10, 2021, 10:59:50 PM
Paxos is still an ERC20 token, which means any noncustodial wallet which supports Ethereum such as Myetherwallet can be used to create a paper wallet. Just make sure you follow the right tips.

For your information, Custodial services such as binance exchange can never be used to create paper wallets since they don't give u access to the private keys or seed phrases.
2959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The BNB gas fee will increase as price keep appreciating on: October 09, 2021, 10:40:59 PM
Bitcoin and eth are build for completely different things. Bitcoin is the king in terms of marketcap. But just saying "bitcoin is king" doesn't really mean anything when you are comparing apples and oranges. Maximalism is just dividing the space even more and it often comes from pure ignorance.
"In terms of Marketcap"!!! How stupid of you!

I didn't even mention anything to do with Bitcoin maximalism, but it goes to show how low your level of reasoning is.

Well, let me just rub it intentionally into your fresh wound. Bitcoin is king and there's nothing you can do about it. So, deal the fuck with it.
2960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Whose fault is that? on: October 09, 2021, 12:36:41 AM
The user is at fault here for failure to differentiate the two.

Where did he get the idea that his token i being traded in FTX?

Even a mere check on coinmarketcap would show that there are 2 different tokens trading in different exchange. Non even trading on FTX at the moment.

PA Dollar USDP - https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/paxos-standard/markets/

USDP Stablecoin - https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/usdp/markets/

We are supposed to be responsible for our cryptocurrencies. He is even lucky they helped him. Some exchanges don't bother.
