those people must be buying from new accounts with no history of successful transactions.  Why would I make my paypal account limited for a chance to get funds back?? Sounds dumb.

It. Happens. Every. Day.

ok im so sorry sir

If it happens here, come back and post a big, fat "I told you so" image

I won't have to. There will be thread after thread of people lamenting how they were scammed.

Do a bunch of small buys with PP, wait 30, 60 or 90 days then do multiple charge backs citing these were unauthorized = $$$$$$ This is why PP is frowned upon. This happens everyday despite multiple warnings and yet it continues. Ever wonder why some have no pity on the scammed? Care to venture a guess?
2946  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: $200 Paypal for BTC on: December 26, 2013, 05:02:46 AM
I'm looking to purchase $200 USD worth of Bitcoin via Paypal. What would be the most secure way for this process so I'm not scammed? Reply back or message me (trusted members only)

Bad idea as PP is reversible so you would not be taking much of a risk while the buyer would be at risk.

You have a right to trust and lose some coins. But wise man does not repeat same failure twice... I recommend forum owners take some action to remove these cheaters from the eco system.

It's not up to the forum owner, it's up to the member to do their own research and make wise decisions. Let the buyer beware. It's not like this is a rare occurrence and warning are  plastered literally everywhere in the forum.
It is sad people get hosed for trusting but the lender section can be a den of thieves.

Also, if someone was interested in picking up some PSUs/Mobo/5850s from me, that would possibly nix the need for the loan.
What do you have?

A lot of 5850s, some basic mobos (as well as a nice MSI with 6X PCI), 750/900 (and maybe a 1200) W PSUs, and I think two additional PSUs in the realm of 600-900. Coolmax, Silencer, decent brands. Some not used.
Shoot me more info on the MSI MB and 900-1200 watt PSUs via PM.

2951  Economy / Lending / Re: I need a 1BT loan to purchase a second 7990 GPU on: December 22, 2013, 04:35:36 PM
I got it sorted. I traded roughly 1600 WDC coins on the exchange to get 1BTC

There ya go!
2952  Economy / Lending / Re: 1 BTC Loan on: December 22, 2013, 01:32:57 PM
Hey if anyone can loan me 1 BTC I will pay that back in a few months with a 5% interest added each month.

What are you putting up as collateral?
I cant put anything up as collateral. I was hoping for just a loan, no questions  asked.

I need the keys to your car, no questions asked.  Roll Eyes
2953  Economy / Lending / Re: I need a 1BT loan to purchase a second 7990 GPU on: December 22, 2013, 01:30:12 PM
I have the chance to add a 2nd 7990 to my system, I am current mining WDC on a single 7990 which gives me around 30 coins a day, it was higher but the difficulty went up last night. The seller of the card wants 1BT for it, I bought my first card from him for 0.5 BT when the 7990 was a lot cheaper but it appears the have gone up in price. I would pay 1.2BT back.

Since you already have some income, just wait until you mine enough and save the interest. Otherwise, have collateral ready.

2955  Other / Off-topic / Re: Finished watching Breaking Bad?? What next? Any suggestion? on: December 20, 2013, 02:40:09 PM
I just try watching The Wire. I can't get into it. Is Dexter finished yet? I like Dexter, but don't want to watch it until it is final.

I think I will watch Prison Break, I only watched the 1st Season.

Keep posting for suggestion please. I want to have a list to go to, when I run out of things to watch.

Thanks.  Smiley

I really liked Dexter, much better than I thought I would and yes, it's finished.
2956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what's the best place to sell bitcoin? on: December 19, 2013, 11:29:36 PM
I have about 1 bitcoin which I want to sell for Cash ( credit card/sepa bank transfer).
what's the best place out there( trusted&fast) where I can sell it?
Don't want to sell for paypal for obvious reasons, otherwise would sell on ebay and make a profit there as well.
Thanks.

Buyer using CC would be as risky as PP. Try localbitcoins.com
2957  Economy / Lending / Re: Requesting a Loan, backed by physical real estate - 6% @ 70% LTV $100k on: December 19, 2013, 06:10:10 AM

Loans to be secured by our physical, income producing real estate holdings. Maximum LTV of 70% as determined by independent 3rd party appraisal.

So, the lender will attach a lien to these properties for the amount + interest for this loan? If so, I assume all fees that accompany this transaction will be the responsibility of the borrower?

4 posts and asking for a large loan citing you made bad decisions and were wiped out. This doesn't inspire confidence that you are a smart business person or that you will be able to repay, let alone repay with interest. ID's and utility bills are worthless and should never be considered as collateral. You should try a car title loan, refinance your home, sell your stuff, pick up cans, dig ginger root or ask family and friends. If none of these will lend to you, why should we?
2960  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 3 - 10 BTC investment, 30 days, 15% rate. on: December 17, 2013, 02:17:22 AM
It was interesting to see reactions of town sheriffs and lenders who don't care about effectiveness of plan.

What would really be interesting is for you to provide some sort of collateral that exceeded the loan request, easily sold if you default AND have it held by the lender. THAT would be interesting. Plans, ID's, lawyers and papers won't work.
