2021  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.5btc - 2btc loans (no collateral required) Quick Loans for you! on: July 10, 2014, 08:35:50 PM
Scammer gold mine right here.  Pfft, as if negative trust would mean anything for a scammer.
OP, I'd suggest you be careful.  You can't tell who will scam and who won't.  Ask for collateral.

Holy balls, if you haven't noticed already the OP is fishing for documents and stuff and not sending any shit to the borrowers.
Come on.  Cheesy

Not true at all, i am only trying to protect myself.

You need to update your OP to include you require ID and other documentation. You are using these as your "collateral" or you are collecting ID's.

Look at the feedback i found about you, i guess this forum has a very inaccurate feedback or trustmeter as anyone can say anything about anyone at anytime.
I am not interested in the forum's trust meter or members, i am only interested in the transaction itself to be processed whatever is my requirement and i process my requirements with extreme precautions to avoid getting myself scammed.

But i repeat: he also gave FAKE bad trust and also own few accounts what he admited. Soon BAN.

I PMd Global mods already.

Fake/bad/false Trust is the norm. I have quite a bit. No ban needed as he will continue to make accounts. Ignore is your best bet and make self moderated threads.
Ban him today and who will be tomorrow? Will you ban books or music next?
2030  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [BOUNTY] 5BTC scammer named bitp0p. on: July 01, 2014, 06:09:51 PM
What is this?
I don't understand.
Bitcop is trying to extort bitpop with fake personal information and trying to get you to believe that bitpop is actually bitp0p, so that he can get the 5BTC bounty. However the provided information by Bitcop is fake and can be found on the internet.

Exactly but I'm wondering why he thinks I'd bite
Scammers are dumb low lifes

This is the information he's about to sell you, I don't know why he showed me though lol

Easy. Chance of a double payday.

Good luck with that. You obviously know what is best for everyone. What's next? Are you going to tell me how much power I need for mining or I can't turn my A/C below 80?
While I await the impending banning, I will exercise my ignore button.
2032  Other / Meta / Re: Racism and Violence Completely Ignored by Moderator on General Discussion Board on: July 01, 2014, 11:57:42 AM
Threats of violence aren't okay, I don't see any though. Being a racist is okay, though posts with strong political commentary of that sort tend to be off topic more often than not, and if it isn't off topic then the thread itself may need to be re-evaluated.

He said that he "knows a very direct way of dealing with [me]. Better yet, send [me] to the Palestinians." How you can percieve that as anything other than a non-idle violent threat is beyond reasoning.

Grow a thicker skin, this is the internet. I am offended that you're offended, where does this madness stop? Cries of bigotry and racism are far too common and used improperly daily. This has watered down the true meaning of these words. I would rather know what a person really thinks than have them hide it behind a smile, that way you can take action such as ignore them or go to another forum. One should be able to say pretty much what they want but that doesn't mean there aren't consequences. They could be ignored and no one will trade with them.
Crying for the censor police at every harsh word is ridiculous and petty.

So you think that calling somebody from the Middle East a "shit skin" isn't racism, and even if it is, it should be fully allowed? I am not misusing the word at all, and you are encouraging very uncivilized behavior on this forum. I pray to god that at least one sane moderator sees this ..... and does something to help keep things peaceful on here. This is exactly the kind of insanity that we don't ever want to associate with cryptocurrency. That is, if you are actually here to support crypto.

This is downright shameful behavior and the responses I am getting are shameful all around.

I've been called far worse. Grow up.

Let me add to this:
"......you are encouraging very uncivilized behavior...."    Offensive, you are calling me uncivilized.

"I pray to god..."  Offensive. You didn't capitalize the G and you mentioned god! What does god have to do with BTC?

"......bullshit..."  Cursing, again offensive!

"....at least one sane moderator...." Offensive. It implies all moderators are insane.

Do you see how this works? It never ends. You need to realize your opinion isn't the only one but you seem to think it trumps all others. You are free to join the myriad of other forums that are PC correct and happily censor all posts.

Reason for Scam accusation: Holding a no reserve auction, than cancelling auction after deciding the price wasn't high enough

Ok, I might be overreacting a bit, but this is one of several cases in the past couple weeks where users hold auctions, and end up changing the terms after receiving bids, or holds a "no reserve" auction (as in this case) and than decides the final price isn't enough.

Reference:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=660599.0

User auctioned off a domain, the terms of which state:
"The auction will start with a minimum bid of $1 with a minimum increment of $1.

The auction will end ~3 days after the last bid."

Of which the final bid was a bid of $3, not to mention he continued the auction for 7 days instead of 3, to which the user closed the thread and said:
"I'm sorry, but I'm not happy with the price this reached."

Users need to start being held accountable for the auctions they post, whats the point of holding auctions if you don't follow your own terms? Negative trusted user for the time waste and for not following their word. I will try to remember to do this for future cases (which will sure to be plentiful), as its fine if users want a reserve, but they need to mention it. They can't say the minimum bid is $1 and than take it back after the auction ended.

2036  Economy / Lending / Re: [FILLED] Seeking .1BTC Loan on: June 30, 2014, 03:21:43 PM
Hey icet, this really sucks but we need to enforce no collateral no loan as a community so that people don't keep trying to pull these fast ones. I don't want to say he's a scammer yet but it seems very likely...

I've negative repped him and am about to PM KWH to take a look at this thread. He apparently sold him some GPU units in the past so you'd assume we can get contact info about him so you can pursue your funds... I'll also ask KWH to removed positive trust.

I'd recommend you take similar actions to get your money back,

Regards,

RCH

As I replied: I have done much more in sales with him than this loan and he always paid first. I have notified him via PM and am waiting for a reply. If no reply and loan is not repaid then I will act accordingly.
2037  Economy / Lending / Re: $250 paypal issue on: June 29, 2014, 11:56:21 PM
I transfered $250 from my bank account to my paypal but it is on hold for 6-8 days. i need this money to purchase something on a game. If somebody could send me $225 ill repay the $250 when my funds get released. if you need more info i would be more then willing to provide proof that the funds are there and pending.

How will you guarantee repayment? Screenshot of any funds you may have won't do.

the lender will setup an invoice for the borrower (me) and include all information about the loan. then when the funds are released the borrower (me) will just accept the invoice and repay it in full.

That's not a guarantee.

It was just a suggetive way of doing it. it is upto the lender to decide how the borrower would guarantee it. if needed i can write a promissory note which inclines me to payback by law of my province.

You default, it will cost a lot of money to prosecute you. Much more than this request. Come up with collateral greater than your request that an escrow can hold for the duration of this loan.
You are asking for a loan, you should have details and a plan to repay, not leave it up to the potential lender to figure out for you.

2040  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying MONEYPAK & PAYPAL with BTC, $5300 BTC available. on: June 29, 2014, 10:07:14 PM
Selling BTC for paypal is incredibly dangerous, I suggest you stop offering that option. Moneypak isn't that great either, often they are reversed and your cards will get shut down.

Escrow is also useless unless you hold the funds for 180+ days.

Wrong. People think paypal can always be reversed but that is NOT true. This is why I won't send first even with paypal...

Anyways, be careful when dealing with naira4dollar.

I don't recall anyone saying this. Toss in a credit card and the fact of Paypal's virtual goods policy and you can lose your ass real quick.

Why else would escrow be useless?

Would you hold funds/coins for 180+ days or wait that long to get your funds/coins? I know I would not.

Of course not. Escrow will protect buyers like me though. I've been scammed in the past... and paypal did nothing because of their virtual goods policy. Since I pay using my balance and not a credit card, there was nothing I could do.

Huh You make no sense. You agree you wouldn't wait yet still say escrow would protect you. Exactly how?

If I buy BTC, not sell.

You really have no idea how Paypal works, do you...............

What are you talking about now?

You figure it out.
