In light of many recent gift card scams exercise caution with gift cards, you may lose your money. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
1942  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [wtb] bitcoin on: August 11, 2014, 05:54:46 PM
not paid with stolen information, like this faggot who gave me bad rep for no fucking reason!!!

So the person that left you negative is "paying with stolen information?"  Huh

Also, he did give reasons, didn't you read?

New user with Amazon GC. Be extremely cautious when dealing with new users selling gift cards or codes, as they're often purchased using a stolen CC, leaving you holding the bag later on down the road.

This is nothing more than buying Trust. Big red flag.

I think one trust rating is enough

Now everytime I send ONE message to him, he adds another neg trust.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=152722

anyone else see this as BS or is it reasonable for him to spam my trust profile with his ratings?

Have you tried NOT PMing him? Obviously, he doesn't want you to. He should just add you to his blocked list and forget about it if it bothers him that badly.
1945  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by Deathman for starbucks gift cards on: August 09, 2014, 08:01:09 PM
YOU should be refunding your buyers. That's the risk of reselling.

Be more careful next time. Why do you think these starbucks gift cards are going around 40%+ off?

I must learn the lesson not to trust any newbie again, the problem is i don't have money to pay them now, I need this scammer to refund my money first :/

Highly doubtful you'll get a cent back and expect to get neg bombed from the GC buyers.
1946  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying $75 BTC with Verified PayPal on: August 09, 2014, 06:15:03 PM
I am buying $75 BTC (current preev rate as of August 9: 0.1272) for $77 PayPal. My PayPal is verified and I can send as gift. I'm just trying to get started in this Bitcoin world Smiley

My Bitcoin address is 14kzGcKQpfdvfCcVbuSxm4Nx2XZRr4mcSC

We can use a middleman if you'd like.

Thank you! Add my Skype if interested: ninekv

Hopefully I can get started in this new world! I am looking to have some fun and learn some lessons!

Verified or sent as gift won't guarantee there will not be a charge back. Escrow will do little good either as Paypal is risky.
True however it greatly reduces the risk of chargeback.

I don't need to charge back, I just want to start with Bitcoin.

No it doesn't.

1948  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling BTC for Paypal, Paxum, Webmoney on: August 09, 2014, 03:41:47 AM
You realize that Escrow offers you pretty much zero protection if he decides to charge back?

I do thats why PP has to be sent as gift + only users with good Trust are allowed.

Gift won't save you either.
1949  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: $90 BTC for Paypal on: August 09, 2014, 03:38:25 AM
Hello,

I have $90 in my paypal account and want to buy some BTC. I will be sending the funds as gift if I see you are a legit seller so there will be no chance of me doing a chargeback. If you are interested either shoot me a PM or post on this thread Smiley

Many thanks
-Harley

Incorrect. Always a risk with charge back using Paypal, always.

1951  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: want to buy $50 BTC with Paypal on: August 06, 2014, 09:34:44 PM
Can someone please recommend an escrow for Paypal, i would really appreciate it
Escrow is pretty useless with Paypal.
1952  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitchImightbe went missing after payment on: August 05, 2014, 04:34:05 PM
He had dealing with OTHO and Yankee,

Im just hoping he has went offline for a bit but im just getting worried now

Thats why im just after his email address so can throw him a quick message

Doubtful you will get that unless someone else knows it from past dealings.
Always protect yourself, use escrow when possible and always check thoroughly the person with whom you are dealing.
1953  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer Prez on: August 05, 2014, 01:00:11 PM
The guy has multiple accounts (obviously) and is desperately trying to convince everyone that I am a scammer.

In the mean time he defends obvious scammers that he "doesn't know".

I already reported him. He cannot just say I am a scammer.

If I scammed anyone - they should come forward and prove it! I did not scam and won't scam anyone. Yes I reply to topics. Lots of topics. And yes in some of them I ask scammers to send first, just to see their reaction.
When they respond they need to find someone "trust" but then ask to be paid first it's obvious that they're scammers.

So I uncover them.

And one of his accounts had a threat so funny that I couldn't stop myself from trolling over it. And the 100$ bet.

It hurts him that he isn't right.

Actually, he can and has. Have you not been reading the smear wars going on the past week or so?
All you can do is be above board and keep your word in any and all deals. The community will see the correct side.

1955  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: LOOKING TO BUY 40$ WORTH OF BTC WITH PAYPAL on: August 03, 2014, 04:48:08 AM
This guy is a scammer, attempted a $195 purchase but never sent me my coins. Then the next day had the nerve to ask me to close my dispute with paypal so he can log in and buy coins so he can send it to me

You need to open an accusation thread with the details in the Scammer section.

Ok guys, this thread is here so that we can discuss who bipolarbob is, why is he here and why does he give so much. (Curiosity)

BiPolarBob - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=343899

He has been very kind to the community, but i want to know why, so why don't we discuss a few possible reasons?

Anyone can post what they think, i will post a few when i come up with them.

Let's have some fun  Smiley

He's bi-polar!  Grin
1958  Economy / Lending / Re: 1$ BTC Loans! on: August 02, 2014, 04:17:43 AM
I will increase the amount as my payments get processed. I will increase it to 150$ MAX  Grin

So Guys I decided to give small loans for now. What do you think of it? I will increase the amounts as my membership upgrades.
Rules:
Newbies Don't even try to post as it will be waste of time. Unless you can provide a collateral
Max Loan: 1.5$  Grin
No PMs.

You must provide a reason for getting the loan and How will you return it. I will only offer this loan first to only 1 member as i don't have that much trust on community( Just saw a vip hero member scamming)  Grin

So lets see who will take this loan.

Escrow for any collateral provided through trusted third party is a must here. Good luck though!

Please update your OP to reflect this.
1959  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam accusation : justbtcme, attempted to scam 5.0 BTC on: August 02, 2014, 04:07:15 AM
So you want me to pay one bitcoin in order to atone for my sins......

Interesting way to formulate it.

Well, at least it's more than "Hey, I removed your neg rep, please remove mine". Which is, until now, all I can see you offering here.

Ente

You want something from me (removing the negative rep). You did not change what was the reason for it (you not sticking to your end of deals you accepted). I made a different offer as a compromise (donating to seansoutpost). You declined.

If you believe this is a negotiation here, start negotiating and make a reasonable offer.
Else this "negotiation" is getting too expensive for me, timewise.
Ente

No need for negotiations.

I admit I was wrong and ok I will apologize for the bad business. I would not want that on myself.

As for paying a fine, I'll pass on that. Let's be a little more reasonable and not cross that borderline extortionist path that you are on.

I will remove my negative in light of your apology. Please stay away from auctions as you don't consider them a serious contract to buy.
1960  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam accusation : justbtcme, attempted to scam 5.0 BTC on: August 01, 2014, 09:34:51 PM
I will compromise to make things right but straight out forcing me to pay to remove the neg trust is just flat out wrong.

Look at it as a fine for your actions, the negative removal is a side effect.
justbtcme, you're treating this as a mild annoyance is not helping you. Sadly you don't see anything wrong with your actions but it is wrong.
That being said, 1BTC seems excessive.
