2041  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying MONEYPAK & PAYPAL with BTC, $5300 BTC available. on: June 29, 2014, 10:05:06 PM
Selling BTC for paypal is incredibly dangerous, I suggest you stop offering that option. Moneypak isn't that great either, often they are reversed and your cards will get shut down.

Escrow is also useless unless you hold the funds for 180+ days.

Wrong. People think paypal can always be reversed but that is NOT true. This is why I won't send first even with paypal...

Anyways, be careful when dealing with naira4dollar.

I don't recall anyone saying this. Toss in a credit card and the fact of Paypal's virtual goods policy and you can lose your ass real quick.

Why else would escrow be useless?

Would you hold funds/coins for 180+ days or wait that long to get your funds/coins? I know I would not.

Of course not. Escrow will protect buyers like me though. I've been scammed in the past... and paypal did nothing because of their virtual goods policy. Since I pay using my balance and not a credit card, there was nothing I could do.

Huh You make no sense. You agree you wouldn't wait yet still say escrow would protect you. Exactly how?

If I buy BTC, not sell.

You really have no idea how Paypal works, do you...............

2044  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB : Antminer S1 / RasPi / PSU on: June 29, 2014, 12:56:35 PM
Antminers easily sell on eBay for $150 to high rep members that prob wont chargeback etc. $90 seems low, especially since they will still mine about 0.46BTC over their lifetime, 0.16 in just the next month and 0.10 the month after.

How am i going to charge back with BTC? Please just leave, i even offered escrow...

2047  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] $20 worth of BTC via PP on: June 29, 2014, 03:10:10 AM
I need someone to trade me $20 worth of BTC for $20USD via PP. Trusted people only, please, I really don't want to be scammed again. ; _ ;

Read my signature.
2048  Other / Meta / Re: Are there any mods here? on: June 29, 2014, 02:40:39 AM
Can a mod please make a sub-forum for all these ponzi-scams and there really should be a sticky to inform people new to bitcoin about these scams.

I know its up to the individual person whether or not they decide to invest but there should be some warnings to those who are new and go into a thread and see all these fake positive comments from shill accounts.

Again I know its not the mods responsibility to stop all these scams but I don't think it's too much to at least make a sticky, all these scams do is perpetuate more scams.

Won't matter as people tend NOT to read until they are scammed. Even then people still won't read and fall for the same crap over and over.
2049  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB 0.5 btc for paypal via escrow on: June 28, 2014, 02:24:15 PM
I'll escrow for a 1 month holding period
1Fx3qj6NgX2xfsrkDmrdHzJYJbNufo5Qd5

Ok, he's protected for a month. What happens after that? Still plenty of time for a chargeback. Escrow for PP is pretty useless unless you hold over 180 days as you well know. Crazy to wait that long to finish a trade when there are other, quicker options.
2050  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Looking for PP -> BTC (around 2500 euro) on: June 28, 2014, 11:47:09 AM
I am a longtime verified PP user and am looking to buy BTC's using PP. Willing to use an established escrow service of you choice.

PM me if interested.

Paypal is a bad idea and escrow for Paypal is useless. Try another form of payment.

Yes thank you for the information, looking to move my funds away from PP.

If you're not willing todo a trade I'd rather not have people clutter up the thread, thank you.

I don't think informing you, a newbie with no credibility, that Paypal is not safe for the seller and escrow is useless would be "clutter".

i told my friend that and he said we will only sell our own accounts from now on and give back hacked ones to last owners

and bitcoin communty is very hostile we will never reach mass adoption with such attitude this is libertarian forum i thought obviously only forum staff can secretly buy/sell accounts.

I didn't say it was okay, I said there's no way for us to tell if an account has been hacked, sold, traded, given away, shared, etc.

I didn't see his thread, but looking at the mirror site, your "friend" admitted they were hacked in his thread.
https://bitcointa.lk/threads/for-sale-hacked-bitcointalk-accounts.334437/

so what your saying is that my friend should make another account and pretend that the accounts arent hacked when selling them?Huh

From the stupid rules you are telling me that seems to be ok.

Not much anyone can do about the unknown but if anyone finds out about these sales, you will be flagged. Since the rules are stupid, go somewhere else to peddle your hacked wares. This forum does not need you or your kind.
2053  Other / Meta / Re: why was jimmi12 banned? illuminati on: June 27, 2014, 01:28:25 PM
I'm not sure who banned him, but I fully support it.

Did you really think selling hacked accounts was going to fly here?  Especially when he admitted that the accounts were hacked.

my friend will continue to sell but will just lie from now on. is deception really a better solution?

Honest thieves don't use deception..................... Roll Eyes

my friend jimmi12 made a thread here today asking if it was ok to sell hacked bitcointalk accounts. BadBear said it was ok so he made market thread. but now my friend had logged in all posts delted and he is banned.

Why did you do this?!!

Tell me the truth is it allowed or not to sell hacked accounts?? if not then how will the buyer know if an account is hacked or not if seller tell not them if yes then why was my frend banned? when does ban expire?

Really? Hacked accounts? Can you show where he agreed with this?
Your "friend" should have the reason.

If you don't comply with my request, all your private information will be posted publicly; that includes: full name and surname, address, telephone, photos...

Since it's still fresh, my sincire condolonces about your late father. As I'm told, he was very respected minister.

So, you don't refute the accusation?

It is legal in Cali, I have a grow permit hanging on my door. The room is sealed and hidden looks as if its a closet. The reason its hidden is my wife's family  they are bible Thumpers. "I have nothing against this to each is own". They go to church at 8am on sunday and do not leave untill 3pm. Wed's church till 10Pm, Mother in-law does bible study Friday night for at risk youth.
If they found out they would want her to divorce me and take the kids.

Inlaws "whats that sound?"
Me " One's the well pump the other is the septic"
Inlaws " Wow they are noisy"
Me " Yea I know, called the service guy and he said he could not do nothing about them"

Its 2 can fans and a AC unit they kicking on.
That was a great look on my wife's face, 2 days before Christmas. Needless to say holiday's will be at Grandparents house from now on lol.

You would risk your marriage and kids over pot? I don't know what to say on that.
