Got my picks just in time before the early fixture's kick off.  I was just clicking buttons for this one and went for some of the most familiar names I could see at first glance of the rosters...  Except a couple.  :/

So yeah, these are my picks:  Toney, Son, Gordon, Bowen, Fernandes, Haaland and Harrisson.

I picked two names that's not likely to score a goal because it happens every weekend.  Doesn't really matter that you picked the most likely goal scorers, there's always a couple of guys you don't know that could get one in.  And for this weekend, I got Harrisson and Gordon.

^  I'm hearing some shenanigans are going on with this project.  It's not just about more of the allocation was given to the devs, it's the team changing the rules and saying that TGE happened a year earlier, 'technically' then they can unlock the allo for the team and early investors on April this year instead of next year.  :/  And it doesn't help their case that some guy from their team was calling their community a group of e-beggars.  Oof what a douche...  I'd dump that sht so fast and discourage other people from bridging to their chain.

And it's not just that.  I heard there were other times when the team made their community felt like they weren't needed.

Yes, indeed, there were many dissatisfied with the way the airdrop was distributed. And accordingly, all the negativity is created by such dissatisfied people who believe that the team has wrongfully deprived them of their reward. But actually Starknet did not come up with any new criteria, taking as a basis the Arbitrum, in which the hold of 0.005 ETH was also a necessary criterion, however, as with Celestia.

Mmm I don't think I had .005 ETH in my wallet at the time when I received my airdrop as I already stopped playing around Arbitrum.  But the .005 thing is fair.  They need to filter out sybils...  I think the next step towards acheiving this is for devs to start looking into established communities of highly valued NFT's.  There's this NFT called the Pikenians that had a public mint at .1 SOL or something crazy low like that and it's now valued over 7 SOL because of the future potential of gaining eligibility for future airdrops.

It's crazy and funny how things are in crypto rn.

^  Oh right...  Didn't think about that one.  So yeah Red Bull has a way of easing young drivers in before giving them a drive in the senior team.  Less pressure and more development for the driver.  Kinda like what they're doing to Ricciardo.  He's doing the process all over again but as an older driver.  :/

And isn't already Norris tied down with a long term contract with McLaren that ends on 2027 or something?  I think the guys here itt has a ball laughing about it a couple of years ago for making such a somewhat dumb decision.

^  Maybe he's just not all there anymore.  Lolol.  But seriously tho, he prolly still has a love for 'the game' but the game has moved way past him.  His skill set now just isn't good enough anymore.  And at his age, I don't think he could catch up with the guys at the highest level.  He'd still be a good draw for mid tier matches tho.  But putting him as a main event in a PPV card would be a joke.

it still hasn't been listed on Binance or any other exchange platform for buying and selling. What may be the reason?

They been promising to launch their mainnet for years now, and people still mining away at these tokens that don't got any actual value yet.  Seems like a waste of time if you ask me.

Look, maybe I'm being too harsh here but I just don't see how they gonna make this work long-term.  They gotta figure out some way to make the tokens useful for folks, or the economy they trying to build just wont be sustainable. Sure they got a buncha followers right now, but that's mostly cuz people wanna cash out their Pi for real money someday.  What happens when that don't work out?

Nah...  You're just being real.  For the guys who are keeping their hopes up of making some money out of this, it ks prolly better to start looking elsewhere.  There's a lot of opportunties out there if you know where to look.  Listen to the guys in the forum like libert19 and tvplus006.  Read their old posts and try to found out who they've interacted within the forum who brings the info and learn from them too.  This forum is a wealth of knowledge for those guys who know how to look.  Good luck.

And if you guys are low on funds and still use ETH mainnet, just stop.  All the action is slowly going to Solana now and next year it could be Monad's year.

Kimi Antonelli is rumored to be the next Mercedes driver in 2025

He is now 17 but a progedy.

It would be a big risk for Mercedes to give a 17-year-old a place in the works team. What do you think about the possibility of the 17 year old being parked at Williams in the first season, but don't really know which Williams driver could play a role at Mercedes in the meantime?

Yup def a risk.  But if he's really a prodigy and they're willing to put up with the recklessness of youth then I couldn't see why not.  Red Bull did it with Verstappen and he got himself in somewhat a lot of dicey spots during his younger years as a driver.  But then look at him now, he turned into one of the best drivers F1 has ever seen.

But the pure fan in me wants to see either Alonso or the return of Vettel to take the second drive in Mercedes.

^ It is a bit concerning that Dana White seemingly has no idea what UFC 300 is going to do for a main event and everyone keeps asking him about it. His behavior leaving a podcast yesterday after his intro sort of displayed his frustration. Everyone wants the biggest UFC event of all time and Dana doesn’t even know if Conor will be able to fight by then or not.

Even if McGregor is able to fight, he's not really a draw of high magnitude anymore.  The guy is washed as seen twice vs Poirier.  There's just nothing he can do...  He is past his prime.  :/

What the UFC could do is pay Jon Jones a bunch of money to return earlier than intended to fight Tom Aspinall.  That would be a good match up.  They should just forget Miocic and pay him a bunch of money too, to stfu.  Lol.  No one really wants to watch him anyway.

Live in 12 hours...  Should be good.  Wink

Congrats to the ones who got Stark. I missed this one as I wasn't that interested.  Their Discord felt like it got sybilled a bit, kinda gave me the same vibe as Wormhole's Discord.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  It's just hard to have a conversation over there.  Everybody is like 'hey, gm, let's grind, how are you' like wtf.  Lolol.  All that to level up and get roles.  Not sure if they really get rewarded with an airdrop for spamming.  If they do then congrats.  Maybe I should've spammed and tried to get rifter role.

But I heard PYTH stakers get an Airdrop...  We'll see.
311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: February 14, 2024, 12:51:35 PM

Lol don't think so.  They had one of the best CTO's in F1 in Binotto but what they lacked was good leadership and a good strategist.  Horner could bring it and if Newey tags along with him and with Hamilton now with the team..?  Omg, they def will win titles and I'm here for it.  It's been a while since that first Verstappen win.  I want to see some excitement back in F1 again.  Grin

And is it just me or is it really in the realms of possbility that Vettel will be Red Bull's next team principal?  There were some signs he was going to be while he was driving for them.  He was always known to be in the garage with the engineers or with Horner trying to learn more about the ins and outs of the team.

RBR is stong cause of Newey, he is the Messi of the F1.

True...  But that doesn't take away anything from Horner as one of the best team principals the sport has ever seen or Verstappen is one of the best drivers we've ever seen drive an F1 car.  Remember that it didn't just take Newey to win podiums and championships...  It took the whole team to do it.  I doubt Newey would get the same accolades if the driver and the team principal weren't so good.  :/

F1 is a team sport more than it's let on because all we see most of the time are the drivers and all the cameras are mostly pointed at the race.
312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 14, 2024, 12:43:01 PM

2 months to go and we still don't know what the main event is. Is the poster a sign of one of the fighters featuring in the fight or is it just a model? He does look a bit like DDP but I doubt he'll fight so soon again. What are the bitcointalk MMA experts speculating? What will be the headline for 300?

If it's DDP then who would be the opponent?  I think the only guy who could be a huge draw is Adesanya as he and DDP has some 'who's the real African' beef going on.  Would def watch that but from a match making perspective it doesn't make any sense to give Adesanya the shot as he lost royally vs Strickland.  Would've been a different story if the fight was close.

^  Yeah that's what they say.  It doesn't really make any sense but I still voted just in case.  Lol.  I don't wanna leave a stone unturned this time around.  Grin

Oh and some guys say PYTH stakers could some W airdrop.  Not really sure but that would be sweet as I have a little bit staked.

Other people say holders of Mad Lads NFT, De Gods and Y00ts all get an airdrop from Wormhole as long as they had them verified in Discord.  Must be nice.  :/  I think NFTs could be the next meta with these airdrops as it's hard to sybil ownership esp if they're expensive.
314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 13, 2024, 12:29:41 PM
^  I think the value of the BMF is not that it comes with prestige for the belt holder.  It's the money the fighters get just by fighting for the belt.  It's a 'belt match', it's always in a PPV event and afaik the fighters get a cut of the PPV monies.  Dunno...  But that's how it always works even in boxing.

And does anybody else think Ian Garry is annoying af or is it just me?

Meh...  What happened to me?  Lolol.  Tbqh I wasn't really checking where I am in the leaderboard.  Like I know I'm def low at the table but not this low!  Rofl.  And the funny thing is there are just a few fixtures to be played now.  I'd have to get a couple of really good sets of predictions to get in the money.  :/

And there's the spreadsheet.  I give up on that.  Cheesy  Have a good one boys...

As for the matches, seems easy to see who wins.  City, Real Madrid, PSG and Bayern Munich.  Can see how they lose the first leg in the KO stages unless you guys know something?

The people who participated in the incentive nodes received generous reward from the developers. Due to my address only being considered among the top 10% activity scores, I am only eligible for 90.74 tia.

I don't put so much hope with this reward as im sure it will worth nothing for sure.

what about now? are you still saying your 90 tia coins are worthless, 90x 20$ that's about 1800$ i guess it's worth quite a bit if you still hold it and sell it now. Grin Grin Grin

You know a lot of guys faded TIA.  They guys who took it for granted and didn't even take a peek if they're eligible...  Like me.  Cheesy Cheesy  And the guys who sold early under 5 bucks.  :/

I'm still kicking myself for missing this one as I am really reeeaally sure my wallet that got ARB from the airdrop is def eligible.  I don't even use that wallet anymore but it was eligible for a little DYM allo...  So yeah, now we think of it in terms of if there are guys who feel bad for missing out on TIA and DYM, what's the next modular project that's most likely to airdrop?  And how do we get eligible for an allo?  I'm pretty sure they won't fade the next one, so that means it's more likely to go up at listing.  Wink

And there we go, another hyped up prospect as a 2 to 1 favorite losing to a vet.  Typical...  And these spots happen more than usual in the UFC which is what makes watching it more exciting.
Main Card (PPV)
Alexander Volkanovski vs Ilia Topuria
Robert Whittaker vs Paulo Costa
Geoff Neal vs Ian Machado Garry
Merab Dvalishvili vs Henry Cejudo
Anthony Hernandez vs Roman Kopylov

I'm glad to see Volkanovski back in action again and back in his usual weight where he is comfortable to beat everyone inside the octagon. Let's see how he used his experience back in his comfort zone after the simultaneous two losses against Islam. Now that his fighting for the championship again, it will be an opportunity for him to regain back his honor because this guy is honorable and no one thought that he would be an easy opponent against Islam after their 1st fight when he lost, he also lost some respect because he looks like he reached his limit in that 2 fights. So this fight meant a lot for him because this is where he stands back again.

The odds in Volkanovski vs Topuria are so tight. Can't say Topuria isn't capable of submitting Volk but it could be too early for him to get this shot and Volk is a tough fighter for Topuria. With Volks' striking, Topuria will be forced to bring the fight to the ground to win. It's way hard to speculate on this fight but I could choose the fighters below to win their fights.

Paulo Costa
Ian Machado Garry
Merab Dvalishvili
Roman Kopylov

Costa is a live underdog but I'm giving Whittaker another chance.

Garry will win but the line is almost forcing you to bet on Neal.  The guy has more experience in the cage and Garry will be exposed sooner or later.  It's just I don't think it's gonna be Neal.

I got Cejudo as the underdog.

And totally agree with the Kopylov pick as the underdog!  Sometimes you just have this tingling feeling that the right pick is the underdog.  And from optics alone, Kopylov looks better in the cage than Hernandez.  Dunno...  Grin
318  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: February 12, 2024, 12:14:07 PM
Got the Haaland one right tho.  So it's just 6 more picks to go.  Grin
Yeah other ones did not go so well Smiley

Anybody still feels like they have a shot at 1000$? I am super happy so far, 65 points and that means 3 per week is more than enough for me to go over that 100 mark. I can even allow myself one or two bad GWs. This will be one of them it seems after I had 4 correct picks in last 3 or 4 GWs.

Heh yup, sucks...  Lol.

Wow you could still get there with a little good run. I think I'm stuck at 40 - 45 points, maybe even less.  Cheesy  I missed a couple of weeks as I forgot those matches were midweek fixtures.  And my spare time mostly goes into airdrop stuff during weekdays and I start really looking into some UFC sports betting stuff after weigh ins.  Not like before, every chance I get it's the EPL, UCL, football football raaah!

^  The thing with staking DYM and TIA is there will be rollapp projects that's gonna use DYM as a settlement layer and TIA as a data availability layer.  So that means more airdrops for DYM and TIA stakers.  Wink

And what I hate about farming for points in Solana is it looks like it's saturated and over farmed.  I mean it's good if you have a lot of liquidity to deploy...

Another thing, the next dominating narrative this year could be 'modular chains' which where DYM and TIA belong.  Wink
