1281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [Link] How to be eligible for potential ZkSync retrospective airdrop on: April 16, 2023, 03:25:21 PM
I always see the latest news about the zksynch airdrop, I do what I can, but I don't really expect too much whether this will qualify for the airdrop or not, but at least I have done several interactions with the zksynch ecosystem in this era, actually it is still being done so that the number of volumes what I did was big but I will continue to do it to try if later they have lowered the airdrop next year.

But I don't know if this will be the next ARB? still an unknowing one, but I did bridge on a few other projects.

Yup, with all these airdrops being a thing, a lot of people have started getting into them in droves.  Just as they did with Sui.  If you go look around their Discord there are a lot of people spamming the channels.  It's so obvious that those are bots just to get their server activity up.  And the testnet too...  The activity numbers are so gamed.

So yeah just as I guessed...  Sui will not have an airdrop.  Lmao.  I see a lot of crying online.

Anyway try using Syncswap in zkSync...  There's word going around they're going to airdrop too.  Just fool around and provide some liquidity in one of their pools.

Did he really use the word 'lie'..?  Could be using the wrong word there as mostly these proposals for new specs, esp huge spec changes, are just good on paper.  It's up to the teams to implements the designs and if they're not 'up to spec' in practice then what could anybody really do.

And Hamilton just mad cos Mercedes couldn't figure stuff out with the new specs.  Typical whining from him.

Well in the translated interview I've read yes.
But who knows if they changed the words, they do it often to generate flame and get clicks.

Ah yeah..  'Lie' is too strong of a word.  I think a more apt translation is 'wrong'...  Like if the amount dirty air at the back of the cars is still the same as the pre 2022 specs, then yeah..  FIA really got it wrong.  The whole reason for the 2022 car spec was to drastically reduce the dirty air so the cars could pass each other with less difficulty.

It will prolly be another three years for the current specs?
1283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 16, 2023, 02:37:29 PM
^  Yeah...  Allen just needed to be a little more aggressive in the early rounds and the match would've been a tad closer and it would've justified the bet on Allen.  As is Holloway got him by sheer volume alone.  But to his credit, he was a bit faster than Allen

I'm pretty disappointed with TJ Brown.  He had the fight until he didn't.  He got a bit careless and threw a wild punch which Algeo anticipated and countered with an elbow.  I guess a fighter does things like that when fatigue starts to creep in.  Brown doesn't have good cardio.
1284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: New L1 and L2 chains launching in 2023 on: April 15, 2023, 04:28:20 PM
Yes there are lots of these chains coming out because nobody wants to use ETH because transactions are expensive and nobody wants to use CEX because of what happened to FTX.

So Defi is definitely the future and hence why these chains are being developed. The issue is that they are rushed and have lots of bugs. Even a few days ago Sushi swap had a bug and over $3M was stolen. And it will get worse with these new chains and smart contracts if they are all badly coded and rushed for launched.

I wouldn't say 'nobody', cos it's exactly why fees are high because a lot of people wants to use Ethereum but then it prices out the little guys, so it gave the rise to L2's.

Right now Arbitrum is the best L2 for Ethereum and from a trading perspective, might be the leveraged bet for ETH.  And in turn the projects that received the biggest airdops of ARB could be the leveraged bet for Arbitrum.  Not sure if I'm right but it's something to look out for.  Wink

^  Chelsea tho...  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

What is going on up there?  The supporters are prolly making songs chanting Boehly Out at every home match. Lol.  What manager would be wanting to take the job at their current state?  I could see Lampard being given the role during the summer as they could have a hard time looking for a decent manager...  Unless they could tempt somebody like Zidane and offer him good money, which prolly they wouldn't do, and a huge transfer budget which prolly they shouldn't do.

I think staying with Lampard could be a wise choice for the sole purpose of rebuilding the squad.  They shouldn't be looking for their Pep..  They should be looking for their Arteta imho.
1286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: April 15, 2023, 03:47:55 PM
An interesting interview was done with Halimton.

He has spoken about different things but this one is the most relevant to me.

He basically said F1 lied about getting clean air while following close another car with this generation of cars, he said the air is not clean and the car behind suffers anyway.

Did he really use the word 'lie'..?  Could be using the wrong word there as mostly these proposals for new specs, esp huge spec changes, are just good on paper.  It's up to the teams to implements the designs and if they're not 'up to spec' in practice then what could anybody really do.

After watching the weigh ins and the face offs, I think the event could be underdog city.  Possible underdogs that could get the W are Allen, Barboza, Boser, Guida, TJ Brown, Royval, Herman and Vannata.  I'm not doing a greasy parlay this weekend.  I'll prolly just make a couple of single bets with Royval, Brown and Vannata.  Mind you...  I make small bets for fun so NFA.

Here are the weigh in results.

Max Holloway (146) vs Arnold Allen (146)
Edson Barboza (146) vs Billy Quarantillo (146)
Dustin Jacoby (206) vs Azamat Murzakanov (205)
Tanner Boser (203) vs Ion Cutelaba (206)
Chris Gutierrez (136) vs Pedro Munhoz (136)
Rafa Garcia (155) vs Clay Guida (154,5)
Bill Algeo (146) vs TJ Brown (146)
Matheus Nicolau (126) vs Brandon Royval (126)
Zak Cummings (206) vs Ed Herman (206)
Gillian Robertson (116) vs Piera Rodriguez (116)
Lando Vannata (156) vs Daniel Zellhuber (156)
Bruna Brasil (116) vs Denise Gomes (115)
Gaston Bolanos (136) vs Aaron Phillips (136)
Joselyn Edwards (136,5)* vs Lucie Pudilova (136)

1288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [Link] How to be eligible for potential ZkSync retrospective airdrop on: April 14, 2023, 02:21:46 PM
With the hype of airdrops on new networks becoming a trend, I think it is overrated already.
There are some airdrop hunters that possibly will just waste a lot of money for the gas just finding and trying how to qualify for the unknown speculated airdrop.
I think just incase we will have an airdrop on ZkSync, I believe it will not be not too much anymore.

Some airdrops are more crowded than others.  I think SUI is so gamed that they would have to delay their airdrop to sort things out.  zkSync could be somewhat gamed but it's worth a gamble.  Not going to be serious about it and put too much volume in tho.  Just goofing around to get lucky.

What I'm really using rn tho are Stargate, Radiant and Rage Trade.  I use Stargate to send ETH between chains, Radiant for lending and borrowing then I use what I borrow to trade with leverage at Rage Trade.  All these sites are built on Layer Zero, so if ever I get enough volume in, I could be eligible for ZRO airdrop.

Oh and I heard Rage Trade could have an airdrop too.  Wink
1289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Arb below 1$ on: April 14, 2023, 02:15:50 PM
So does everybody still think ARB could still break down below 1 USD or is going above 2 USD the more likely scenario?  I think the guys saying it could go below 1 USD are not really thinking about the potential benefits of being a token holder.  Arbitrum is the hottest L2 rn and the fees generated by the protocol are increasing due to more usage.  Where do you guys think those fees would go in the future if not to ARB holders?  :/

ARB would all be scooped up if it touches 1 USD.
1290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul Vs Nate Diaz boxing Aug 5th on Dazn PPV on: April 14, 2023, 01:45:17 PM
^  What are the early odds for the match?  I'm thinking Jake Paul could be line at something like 1.60 and with Diaz at around 2.30 or something.  Not much value for Diaz at that line but if really it's at 1.60 for Paul, I'll take it.  The guy has proven that he has good cardio vs Anderson Silva and could go to deep waters if need be.  And Silva is the better striker than Diaz imho.

Diaz at around 2.80 - 3.00 would be tempting.  And that's prolly the right line.
1291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 14, 2023, 01:34:33 PM
^  I doubt Pereira would be straight up brought to go for the strap at 205.  He'll prolly be matched up vs a couple of guys first to see how he performs.  I think a somewhat good litmus test for him is Jan Blachowicz.  Blachowicz is a known guy with a good following among hardcore UFC fans and he's a pretty decent fighter in the division.

Anyway, ceremonial weigh ins in 5 hours guys.  If Tanner Boser looks good on the scale, I think he'll be a good underdog bet.  He moved down from HW.

Keep in mind the airdrop is probably over a year away or so. It’s not coming anytime soon. Especially since Era was just launched.

Basically do the usual. Just bridge and use the network. And don’t create too many wallets, they will find that out and you won’t get any airdrops. So trade, lend and buy NFTs and you should get the air drop.

I doubt it's gonna be a year til comes out.  Airdrop could come in around 6 months or so at the earliest imho.  Latest would prolly be around the holidays on December?  Dunno...  It's just it seems like it's gon a be good year for crypto and project devs might not want to miss out on the opportunity.

Anyway, another possible airdrop from a project in zkSync is SyncSwap.  Not sure how much they money raised from investors but SyncSwap's TVL is at 68m USD rn...  Increased by around 130% in a week.  Something's up.  :/
1294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ETH has the capacity to pass BTC? on: April 13, 2023, 04:46:47 PM
The way and manner of speed ETH bullish at times makes me feels one day, the pump price ratio of ETH may outgrow BTC not in terms of how much is BTC or ETH? But the ratio speed of pumps per bull. I remember 2018 when ETH was less than $150 but ETH takes two weeks to bull market. If somebody should be wise enough ETH would be the next 28k dos.

Past history doesn't guarantee future results.  While somethings do follow along the same as it did in the past it's mere coincidence.  Following this method will lead you broke.  It's quite the opposite really, especially for altcoins.  Most times alts don't follow their past rather new altcoins replace some of the older ones.  Can eth take over bitcoin, I don't know eth has a lot more competitors than it did in 2018.

Check out the monthly chart for ETH/BTC tho.  ETH has slowly been gaining ground since mid 2019 and it's still going tho it's kinda choppy starting around June  2021.  Does that mean there's going to be a flippening for ETH and BTC?  Who knows...  But could anybody say that BTC is going to stay the top dog of crypto forever in terms of market cap?  Saying yes would be sketchy imho, because again...  Who knows.

But I'm pretty sure maxis would say so without any real convincing arguments backing up the claim, just faith.
1295  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 13, 2023, 03:51:25 PM
So we're at the next stop, and it's only Week 2.

Too early to say, (when is it never?) but I do note that price has broken and stayed above 30k, with no signs of let up even as Europe trading closes. Would have expected several retraces but if we stay up a full 24 hours, and then even on Friday, it will be a good breather.

Personally, still waiting for one last big bad event. Don't think people have hurt just as badly as 2020.

Yup but looking at the hourly, it looks like it stalled a bit and went below 30k for a bit.  All good tho as it's out of the 28k range and looking to stay above it albeit a little stall.

People still get too hung up on short-term time-frames when analysing longer-term time-frames, like in this case the monthly. Sure it stalled on the 1 hour chart, there was even good entries for short positions on this time-frame for day traders, but naturally that's a short position that is only really going to last a few hours at best. It's basically irrelevant in the context of the daily, weekly or monthly time-frames.

As you said as long as price is above $28K previous consolidation range then consolidation at higher levels is far from bearish, in fact it's the opposite.

It's ETH that's looking strong rn.  Prolly value trickling down at ETH then down a little bit to the other major alts like BNB.  We're on our way to another alt season me thinks.  Wink  Just wait for any random coin with a Doge logo do a random 10x in a random week.  Lolol.

Wow really, ETH looking bullish? I mean sure, every altcoin looks bullish right now against fiat currencies. Even DogPooUltra Coin is probably bullish right now. But against Bitcoin? No chance.

While Bitcoin is up 80% this year so far, Ethereum is down over -10% and looks like it's finally about to roll over and break support imo. Sure it's up 60% against the dollar this year, but it's done no-one any favours compared to holding Bitcoin - apart from losing 10% of it's Bitcoin value that is. Instead, Bitcoin's market dominance looks like its finally breaking out of it's 2 year long range to the upside.

Overall Bitcoin's market dominance looks very much looks like 2019, minus the 2018 growth that instead last year was more consolidation sideways. But if 2019 is anything to go by then Bitcoin's dominance is likely to reclaim the majority of the market again, somewhere up to about 60% if I had to guess. Notably Ethereum will be the coin to suffer most of this, as is usually the case.

I mean starting to look good.  ETH/BTC seems to have bottomed out.  And as how it happens during bull markets, it has always been BTC going up the most and outperforming the rest at first...  Then the action flows down to ETH and the other high valued alts like BNB which starts alt szn.  And from there it trickles down a little bit further until it goes down to the shtiest of coins with dog logos randomly pumping which is the beginning of the end for alt szn.  Lol.

Anyway, a lot of peeps are prolly starting to be convinced that the bear market is over.

^  Does getting 5 - 6 picks right don't win free bets anymore?  It's 10k or bust now?

Nah they still win freebets, just in dollar value now. Think it used to be 50 mbtc on 6/7? And 20 on 5/7. Waaay back when. Turned a few into very good accas, and a few into crap, but those were the days.

Happy putting money down on boxing these days, but if they bring back 4+1 promos next season, you'll be seeing me coughing sats back into UCL or Prem!

I'm not really into boxing anymore but I do like watching the big events.  Looking forward to watching Davis vs Garcia in a couple of weeks.  I'm def getting the PPV for that one and will be drop a little action on the match.  I think it's gonna go all 12 rounds with Davis edging it out.

And I do long shot degen parlays with my free bets too but I've never gotten any luck with them.  I usually do 5 - 10 legs across the UFC and the EPL but there's always a pie shtter spoiling everything.  =]

Decent card for a Fight Night with somewhat familiar faces.  These match ups are kinda close tho even if the lines don't show it.

And at first glance I see a couple of underdogs that could make the fight closer than anticipated.  They are TJ Brown and Murzakanov.  Both have the wrestling to make match grindy and prolly be a bit boring for some.  Lol.  I don't mind it as long as my side is winning.  Boring fights give me time to chat a little and get more beer.  Grin

^  What's 'Bet 6 6' and EPL Specials..?  I should pay attention with this pool  more.  Lol.  First I didn't know about the yellow cap free bets then found out later that around 20 spots are in the money...  Now Bet 6 6 and EPL Specials.  :/

Anyway, on top of my head I think we're just 4 - 5 fixtures til the season ends.  Congrats to those in the money and to those guys who are vying for the top spots.

As for me, I am done..  Just playing to get lucky for the yellow cap free bets.
