301  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBusters! Busting rule-breakers constantly. on: March 25, 2022, 06:12:37 PM
I very often find  by chance group of accounts which recently woke up and started spamming same threads.
Those look like the old type of bumping services which delete thier post after 24 hours.
Seems like they still get paid for their useless service.
302  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Crypto ads targeted NBA? on: March 25, 2022, 09:31:07 AM
Some teams have crypto sponsorship, like Sacramento Kings have an partnership with ANKR. It's only a positive way for crypto.
Here some interesting statistics about NBA fans interested in crypto : https://www.nielsen.com/us/en/insights/article/2021/slam-dunk-how-crypto-brands-are-making-a-splash-with-the-nba-and-fans/
Just bullish on crypto 😎
303  Economy / Reputation / Re: Trust abuse on: March 23, 2022, 06:01:17 AM
I'm so glad to see that problems can be peacefully resolved if there's communication between the two parties.
That was the civilised way.
There was so many fights here which ended with valuable users leaving the forum, I'm so happy this is not one of those.
304  Other / Meta / Re: List of Meta suggestions for Bitcointalk Improvement on: March 22, 2022, 10:29:49 AM
Oh I see my name there too. My suggestion got partly fixed by BPIP team and now my More menu looks like this:

The down side is that you need to have the browser add-on installed to get this and other benefits so it won't work for the newbies, as I initially thought.
BTW it will be nice if I can add/remove links to that menu manually in BPIP. Just an idea Smiley
305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 19 Million BTC in two weeks' time on: March 22, 2022, 09:30:19 AM
19 Million BTC in two weeks' time, then by 2027, 95% of the 21 Million bitcoins' limit will be in circulation. Then it will take 113 years to issue the last 5%.

Bitcoin fixed supply makes it certainly very deflationary with ramping purchasing power.

- remotemass

That's the greatness of the system, and the Satoshi's genius, there is no and there will never be any Jerome Powell printing bitcoins.
This is why man cannot be bearish on bitcoin in longer term. The governments cannot steal your wealth with their tool of inflation, devaluing your printed money with printing more and more money and those pieces of paper are not backed by anything, the same way as the toilet paper.

So buy and hold BTC and your grand kids will be independent.
306  Economy / Reputation / Re: Trust abuse on: March 21, 2022, 10:37:05 AM
From my viewpoint - I like both yogg and krog and it saddens me to see such strife between the two.

But no alt should be used to garner merit or trust or be used to exclude or even include anyone into a trust list.

To do so is an abuse - was it intentional? I dont know, but once identified, it should be corrected.

Interesting case really, I am in the same situation as you. I like them both, I had contact with both without any issues and both have given a lot to the forum and mostly to the collectables.
As well as I agree that having alt in the DT gives you an advantage which i think should not be used like that. Many DT users have alts like LoyceV and LoyceMobile (i think that's his main alt, the rest are bots) but only the main account is on the DT.
I hope you guys find a peaceful solution because as I said I like you both.

I'll keep an eye on the thread, seems that I need to read a bit more on the case.
307  Economy / Reputation / Re: theymos activity on Reddit - A collection of posts on: March 18, 2022, 08:56:42 PM
Somehow I missed this thread. Great work!
I hope those bitcoins will go to the right hands and finally reach the people in need. When there is a government involved, there's always a question how they will handle the funds, like what happened with the Bulgarian government "holding" couple of thousand bitcoins.
308  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMER FROM BULGARIA BURGAS AKA PLAMEN NENOV on: March 17, 2022, 02:09:07 PM
I see the OP posted on the Bulgarian board as well, but again, we cannot verify what you are saying.
Post some proof otherwise all is just a bedtime story.
Another thing is where you got in contact with the guy? On the forum or somewhere else?
309  Other / Meta / Re: Why I love Bitcointalk! on: March 17, 2022, 12:07:04 PM
Bitcoin Fake Version
Shame on you, guys.
Better get out of your prehistoric bitcoin, BTC is not green
BTW our coin has the lowest transaction costs

P.S: I love bitcointalk. Excepting nutildah, suchmoon & timelord, because they are ultimate trust abusers

I love bitcointalk too but I have a question.

Please tell me from the bottom of your heart, do you really believe that Craig is Satoshi? I mean for real, after all his failed attempts to prove it and after so many clues that gather together clearly shows you the big picture?

OR maybe you have heavily invested in BSV and locked your money with a hope that if one day by some kind of miracle CSW can pump BSV so you can recover your loss or make profit, is this your case?

I don't see any sane person to support CSW claims.
310  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a place in the world you could live like a king via sig campaigns? on: March 17, 2022, 11:56:52 AM
Don't take the signature campaigns as a main income. This is should be just a bonus for the time and effort spent on the forum but turning it into your main income, there are too many negative effects.
First, spamming the forum because of the fulfilling of the minimum requirements often are quite high and if you have nothing to add to the conversation, you just post low effort posts and turn yourself to a spammer.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the purpose of all these altcoins? on: March 17, 2022, 10:04:17 AM
Other altcoins have the main goal of making their developers rich or increasing their bitcoins like BSC.

That's the most altcoins main idea, especially those meme coins without technology behind. Those are based only on the hope that greedy ppl will joint the boat to make a quick buck and the more ppl join the higher the price will go but this benefits only those who buy early. There comes the hype.

Which bring us to the next level of shitcoins, the scam coins. Those who make a project just to dump it after they made good amount of $ from the fools, which often takes just a few months.
312  Other / Meta / Re: Lock Russian section. on: March 16, 2022, 03:45:11 PM
Turing bitcoin or the forum into a political tool will never happen. Theymos is following the Satoshi's legacy and everything that bitcoin as build on is freedom, no matter race, nationality, gender nor political views! The crypto is for everyone and everyone suppressed by their government should have an alternative to the current corrupt payment system.

This should apply for both sides, the Russians as well as Ukrainians. The consequences from the every conflict are for the civil population, for the normal people, they will pay the price. The politicians and the oligarch will always find a way to save their a$$es, they are already moving assets to Dubai.
313  Other / Meta / Re: Ukraine and Russians should have a joint board on: March 16, 2022, 09:47:28 AM
I don't see the need from a joint board. Maybe a common thread somewhere in the local section where they all can post into regarding the current situation but that's again unnecessary.
Everyone can express their point on the Politics & Society section, of course you need to post in English.
314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin searches Google Trends 2009 on: March 16, 2022, 07:34:48 AM
Let me add some more drama to the mystery, in Temple City at that time lived also Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto not only Hal. So who the real Satoshi is will remain mystery but we are getting closer. One thing is for sure, CSW is not Satoshi.

315  Economy / Reputation / Re: No one wants to speak against stake.com? on: March 15, 2022, 10:48:06 AM
Only the fact that you sent fake ID is enough to get your account suspended.
In your case you sent multiple fake IDs, and this alone just shows how untrustworthy you are.
Using only the logic here, stake.com did the right thing, without mentioning the bets on the table tennis tournaments and the suspicious activity there.
316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Avoids De Facto Ban in Europe on: March 15, 2022, 10:40:31 AM
That's a good news. Hopefully this will kick start some price movements soon. Sitting on approx 20 on the Greed and Fear Index for weeks is not uncommon for bitcoin but previously perfectly working indicators like positive/negative news do not have this impact anymore as they did 5 years ago.
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: New metamask wallet scam on: March 15, 2022, 10:33:06 AM
Wow, I've got one of those emails too but I didn't paid attention, as I don't really use MetaMask at all, just for site registrations. Too many complications with them lately, stolen funds, hacks etc. only bad things I hear about them.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Gas Fee is too High? on: March 15, 2022, 09:14:30 AM
I never understood why people still use ETH as there the fees are insane. It was suppose to be a cheaper alternative to BTC but it turned out that it's even worse in scaling and fees skyrocketed. Aside of Bitcoin , until now I see no other better chain alternative to ETH then Binance BSC.
We'll see what will happen after the PoW is replaced, but then the whales will play a big role.
319  Other / Meta / Re: Not sure is the thread is legal. on: March 14, 2022, 08:16:27 AM
That's good that was removed. At least the forum's policy is not like the facebook's (or meta or whatever it is now) one and hope will never be.

Ukraine war: Posts calling for violence against Putin and Russian soldiers 'to be temporarily allowed' on Facebook

Source

How allowing aggression in this way will help solving the problem? It only creates hate and more innocent will be harmed then help the current situation in any way.
320  Other / Meta / Re: The situation with Ukraine and the accounts that supported the war. on: March 14, 2022, 08:06:02 AM
Trust system is not designed to deal with someone's political views. It's purely for trading reputation and it's mostly forum related. For me in the OP situation, it is unappropriated to use negative feedback for what people believe in or not. There's always two sides of the medal and there will always be two sides.

And here comes the rule no. 8. This is the only rule you can use if there's any personal conflict on that high level.
