301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the not-so-known ways to generate crypto? on: November 16, 2019, 09:52:45 AM
Looks like people have already forgotten faucets lol. It was pretty common back when bitcoin was just at a very early stage though now that it's value has become very relevant, people doesn't seem to be intersted in faucets anymore. I'm sure there still are a lot out there though probably not in btc anymore but either alts like eth or xrp. Since it's not generating a decent amount of coins, i consider it a forgotten way of earning crypto coins
302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 16, 2019, 09:08:27 AM

this is the current rank for total point leaders rookie 2019. from the list above, I like the style of Ja Morant and Coby White. Ja Morant with good speed put on Coby White is a good shooter. unfortunately, Zion still can't play until now.

I have a feeling that zion's not going to meet expectations when he plays. I mean, not a draft bust, and he could be decent or starter caliber at best, but not the dominant type that the pelicans can build a young team around. Impressive ncaa stint yes, but its likely the guy won't have the same effect when he plays with the big guys competitively.
303  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Religion of Peace? Why Religion At All on: November 16, 2019, 03:42:17 AM
God gave us all free choice, so we would make our own decision for Heaven or Hell. Since He wants us to go to Heaven, if we choose Heaven, He will reinforce it in us. What does this have to do with the fact that God knows everything? You are saying two opposites at the same time. You are saying that people can make their own decisions, but that God made their decisions for them.

No, I'm not saying God did anything. God doesn't exist.

I'm saying, hypothetically, if an all-knowing all-powerful God exists and created everything in the universe, then God already knows the outcome of everything. In such a universe "free will" and "our own decisions" become irrelevant. Everything happens because God made it so. We react in a certain way in certain situations because God made those situations and made us.

I'm saying that if God exists (which he doesn't), he condemns some people to hell from the moment he creates them. He creates a man, and he knows instantly that this man will be a murderer will never believe in God and will die at age 20 when he is shot and will never seek forgiveness for his crimes. He knows that the person he has just created will go to hell.

God gave you the ability to freely choose to talk yourself into thinking that He doesn't exist. You don't have to use that free choice, of course. It's up to you.

In a God-created universe, if He created free will into it, then free-will is just as important as anything else. After all, everything happens because God made it so... even free will and free choice.

God doesn't condemn anyone to Hell. Those who go there, have condemned themselves there, by choosing to not believe the Jesus salvation that God provides.

If a badly sinful person (one who will never accept Jesus salvation) dies young, isn't it a good thing? I mean, how sadistic can you be? Do you want him to live to the age of 200, sinning worse every year than the previous year, so that he has 200 years worth of sins to pay for in eternal Hell? Wouldn't it be a whole lot better for him if he died young?

Cool

What i find hard to grasp is that, out of the immensity of the universe, why would it's creator focus on a small speck of dust like the earth, with its different religions?

I've tried considering this, just in our solar system itself, we're pretty small and insignificant already. Then there probably are billions of solar systems within the milky way. Then there probably are billions of galaxies that compose just the known observable universe.

Out of the immensity of this, i find it hard to comprehend that someone who created all these would spend time singling and sorting out humans for their beliefs and assigning them to a heaven or hell.

I mean, do other living organisms on other parts of the universe have their own jesuses and mohammads?

The way i see it, it's really pretty petty arguing which religion is right or which is wrong when all these vastness is laid upon you. The universe is not here for us. Instead of killing each other about which god is the right god, having petty arguments that no one really will win, we should just look after each other.

Killing each other is not what God wanted, even when we don't know much about Him, or even recognize the same god as others believe in. Any killing has to do with getting rid of people who are so extremely evil that they are wrecking society for everyone. But we have governments to do this.

As for God creating mankind... We don't know much of the thinking of God. If God, for His own purposes, created mankind, say, to rule the universe, or to colonize other worlds, how would we know except if He made that knowledge available to us?

If people had remained in perfection (Garden of Eden) so that they never died, populating other planets is exactly the thing that God might have wanted. After all, when populations on Earth are so great that there is standing room only - and such is what would have happened if there were no sin and death, and especially if everything had remained as healthy as it was in the beginning, people would populate faster than rabbits - where would they go just to live?

God hasn't revealed the plan that He had for us at the beginning. Why not? Because we sinned, and death entered. The whole scene changed. Population no longer has to do with going to the stars. Rather, it has to do with finding a way out of death. And not out of death for those who are still alive, but out of death for all who have died, as well.

Take a look at Ancient Israel in Exodus in the Bible. Israel was going to the Promised Land. When they got to the borders, they rebelled, and didn't enter in like God wanted them to. So, God told them that they would have to spend some time (40 years) wandering around in the wilderness. But then they tried to go into the Promised Land anyway. And a bunch of them died for it.

Now, we are trying to go into space, to populate the moon and Mars. This might have been the plan in the beginning, but mankind changed the plan by sinning. It won't work... populating Mars. A bunch of people died trying for the Promised Land in the Exodus, and they will die trying for Mars.

The point? If there are aliens out there, they are only there to maintain the planets until mankind would get there. But we don't know that they are even there.

The thing we should be doing is working with God in His method for us to live forever, and to even bring back life to all those who have died. What is this method? Jesus salvation!

Cool

You're basing this from a book that was compiled less than 1500 years ago. And the final product was decided by people like you and me who actually had power at that time. This should clearly be something to be considered, right?

And again, I come to the scale I'm talking about. The universe. Believed to have started billions of years ago. If you have the power to create something of that scale, would you seriously focus on what a certain specie is doing, who they're worshipping, what they were thinking etc? Seems quite petty for someone who's that powerful, right?

And I don't think you're serious about aliens taking care of other planets for until such a time that humans can go there lol.

304  Economy / Economics / Re: Your Source of Investment Money? on: November 15, 2019, 04:35:17 AM
When I first made my Bitcoin investment three years back (back then the exchange rate was $900 per coin), the amount came from my savings. But after 2017, most of the coins that I earned came from various bounty campaigns and airdrops. Now the prices have risen by so much (10x since 2017), that investing any amount in Bitcoin looks very risky.
Investing in bitcoin has not become more risky as time has passed, what it's happening is that during those days bitcoin was affordable but that is not the case anymore, bitcoin is too expensive even for people living in developed countries, there was a thread that exposed the amount of money that each person was saving on average depending of his country of residence and the truth is that very few people have any meaningful savings that they can use to invest in bitcoin.
Many people not lucky like you are because they buy bitcoin when price on the top last three years, bitcoin raise above $15K but after few day later bitcoin drop and now bitcoin have been under $8k. Have ready faced risk when make investing whit bitcoin and altcoin because I think bitcoin price is not stable on higher but also can be down with lower price.

Well if you have the means to earn bitcoins, then it would be better to utilize that as your capital instead of using money that came from your salary. I say this because of the risk that crypto poses. And you don't want to put your hard earned money into that much risk especially if there are more important things for you to spend on. This forum is a pretty good platform to earn some coins that you can use for your capital without compromising real world expenses.
305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sports predictions on: November 15, 2019, 03:16:00 AM
Im very confused how to win with high odds in soccer prediction. Because winning with low odds is very basic IMO , i mean it's not specific but mostly low odds always win , the potential is higher unlike with high odds as its 50/50 chance wherein very unpredictable.  Is there any strategy you know except viewing their past game or history?

Well, viewing their past history would only tell why the odds are like that. They're placed with higher odds because their chances of winning are not as much as their opponents. It can be a lot of factor. Skill, players, experience. It could be that their competitors are better in most of these aspects or all of these aspects. The bigger the risk, the bigger the reward. That's a common law in gambling. Upsets don't always happen in sports matches that's why you get much less money betting on the superior side.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coin PUMP ? on: November 14, 2019, 08:30:55 AM
What preparations do you make to see the coins to be pumped?
Are you going to wait for a higher upward trend or choose to sell when you have a chance?

I am not particularly preparing for anything that could happen in crypto. I have already been surprised countless of times. There seems to be nothing too surprising to me anymore since everything looks possible here. If Bitcoin will fly to $20,000 tomorrow or dive to $2,000, I would gladly accept and would just act and decide accordingly.
You become a very wise person because of your experience in the market. many people just hope for an increase and complain when there is a decrease. people should also have thoughts and investment patterns like you. adjusting to market conditions will be more profitable than just hoping and forcing yourself to see a high pump.

It is always better to prepare, but for the worst. You should never prepare for the best. You do not prepare for a pump. That to me is foolish.

It is best to somehow have an idea of what is to come so that you can make a plan for it in advance. But since the crypto world is very unpredictable, you need to brace yourself for whatever takes place. You should not be surprised because everything is possible in the first place.

I kind of agree with that.  A pump will come when it comes at the whim of those who have enough coins to initiate it. It's useless to prepare for it since you'll be expecting when it will come. A lot of people already lost with that kind of radical expectations. Though you're right in the fact that we should prepare for the negative part of it. Expect the worst, as they say, and prepare for it so when it comes, you're not caught slacking.

No paul george starting in tonights game so then it will be tomorrow against new orleans.
https://www.latimes.com/sports/clippers/story/2019-11-12/paul-george-will-make-clippers-debut-on-the-road-this-week
They even mentioned it before the game against houston started he will be starting for the first time this season along side kawhi it will now be against the pelicans.

Something to look forward to then. This tandem has made quite a noise when they decided to join forces in LA and a lot of people have been waiting to see Kawhi and PG play together. Against a pelicans team, led by young guys, I think this is a good warm up game for PG to get going after being out. He's bounced back a lot stronger before with a worse injury.
309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Daily Living on: November 13, 2019, 09:06:46 PM
Well for most of us, this just isn't applicable yet. I also try to use bitcoin, or even ether and ripple, anywhere possible. Though there's just limited markets where i can use it for now. Most of the time for online purchases only. The main use for crypto for me at the moment would be for trading. And i'm pretty sure a lot of us here deals the same way with it.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PAC (Pacquiao) Token Starts Trading from Nov 12. Will You Buy It? If Yes, Why? on: November 13, 2019, 06:20:47 AM
Lol I wonder if he even understood what he said there or if it's just some adviser that made up the statement. For the hype, then probably I'd buy some of it. Though for it's claimed uses? I doubt any of that would even come close to how they present it. There should be big money behind it as Pacquiao has a lot to throw in this venture, but like Pacquiao, people would likely not have any idea what it's going to be for. Simply for the hype.
311  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I still get wealthy through Bitcoin? on: November 13, 2019, 05:45:38 AM
There are still many opportunities to become a millionaire just like the one who was rich from the results of bitcoin. The price of bitcoin is low again since the beginning of the year until today, so it is an opportunity for you to get big profits from bitcoin because bitcoin has proven to be the only digital asset for the future. for those who want to join dibitcoin before it's too late in the future you will definitely find the right time to get rich with bitcoin I'm sure that happens

Well unless you have around hundreds of thousands to invest, I doubt that you'll become one anytime soon. There's a change if you have the means to meet that chance. It's definitely different from a few years ago. We probably won't have that much 50 to 100x pumps anymore. If you can manage to become a good trader with a hefty capital, then you may be able to hit that target. For regular people like us, that chance is considerably lower.
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coin PUMP ? on: November 13, 2019, 04:51:37 AM
It's kind of confusing as to what you actually mean here dude. If any of us would have the luxury to foresee any pumps, then you'd prepare for that by accumulating coins that you think will be in that pump. Though of course we know there's no way to predict a pump before it begins. Just try to stock up on coins that you think has a good future, wait, and hope that a few whales would share your view for that certain coin.
313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is twitter a good source of info? on: November 12, 2019, 02:05:46 PM
There's are already a lot of crypto twitter accounts with the same function so i don't think it's going to be that helpful. Some of these accounts are already well known like twitter accounts of exchanges, projects and the top coins in the market. All giving the latest updates in the crypto community. I think the more social media pages like this, the easier fud can break out. There are as much false info in these twitter accounts as accurate ones.
314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it advisable to use cryptocurrency to support my favorite content creators? on: November 12, 2019, 01:14:25 PM
I’ve been noticing that services such as Patreon have been booting off some content creators that have “violated” their terms and services. I was just wondering whether it would be possible to support my favorite content creators using cryptocurrency donations to their websites if they allow it?

Donations of any form would probably be okay as long as the site allows it. If the cc provides a cryto wallet where you can send in coins, then i don't see any problem with that. It can be converted to fiat anyway. And if a cc is aware of the crypto market and bitcoin, then most of them would probably even prefer to receive donations in btc.
315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Will You Do To Recover Bitcoin? on: November 12, 2019, 10:54:14 AM
In 2010, you came across a site that was giving away bitcoins. The site said it was free money so you signed up. You were logging in to figure out how it was money but couldn't. The last time you logged in you had more than 100 bitcoins. Later you forgot about the site until 2017 when a ponzi was advertising Bitcoin. Bitcoin? The name rang a bell and you stated hearing stories. You remembered you must have many bitcoins  somewhere but you can't even remember the name of the site. How would you recover your BTC?

Lol. I guess the simple answer is you can't. Just accept the fact that it's already something that got away from you. It's the same as the pizza that was bought in a couple of btcs around that many years ago. We didn't know back then that bitcoin would end up like this so i don't think one should feel regret over not taking bitcoin seriously when it was just starting. If the same thing would happen now with another new currency, i think most of us will still react the same way.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which is more scary... on: November 12, 2019, 10:12:13 AM
Well dumps are actually part of manipulating the market, either to scare people into selling their coins or for big guys to take profit. Market manipulation is a pretty common thing in crypto, so goes with occassional dumps so i think there's no need to be afraid of any of them. As long as there are big whales who own a huge chunk of coins, they can always sway the market to their advantage or whichever way they want. We just have to learn how to adjust and to sway with these changes.
317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 12, 2019, 08:13:30 AM
Congrats Clippers backers, you are victorious tonight.
Alright, those who bet on Clippers despite that they're against with Raptors, we've got it guys.

Congrats everybody!

I think they can really win that game against Raptors. But in fairness Siakam still do some good shots to caught up with clippers. It is just, odd that the highest points came from Bench player of Clippers Lou Williams bagging 21 points, though  Leonard finished with 12 points, 9 assists and 11 rebounds almost a triple double stat.

I think Raptors have chance with them if their team got Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka on the floor who got injured last friday with New Orleans Game.

Anyway, the next team for Raptors will be ok Portland Blazers homebound, I think these two are match up and can have a good game but still I'm rooting for the defending champion to win this game after an unfortunate defeat from clippers.

It's going to be hard for the raptors to defeat championship caliber teams now like the clippers. They're basically a different team entirely after kawhi left. Against the blazers, my money goes with portland. The raptors are pretty much still a playoff team in the east but it's definite that we're going to have a new champion this year both for the east and western conference.
318  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do politicians take us for granted? on: November 11, 2019, 07:05:04 AM
More than taking us for granted, politicians take us for idiots. Unfortunately sufficient numbers of people are idiots, so the politicans get re-elected.

It's election time in the UK, and this tw*t is already out and about doing his 'man of the people' bit.

Well i don't really think they think of us as idiot. They know that a lot of people are smart. We just don't have the power to go against what they want to do. That's ll there is to it. You the smug faces of these old politicians and they're like "I'm doing anything i need to stay in power and you can stay in misery and poverty. And you can't do anything about it."
319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can more ATM's increase adoption for Bitcoin? on: November 11, 2019, 05:44:25 AM
Having a Bitcoin ATM is another good way to create awareness, curiosity to people, for sure for some people who doesn't have any knowledge at all about Bitcoin, will ask question from the people and from the bank, and those who are into crypto will be glad and will be encourage more as they have seen that there is already market and the adoption for crypto is already there, so it is really a big plus for all of us.

Right. Having these atms more more visible in a lot of locations would create cusiosity and eventually awareness, especially for those who have limited or no knowledge about crypto. It can also change other people's mindset that crypto is not just a scam. Being able to see these ATMs on the street confirms it's legitimacy and can put confidence into people's minds.
320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Business ideas with 60 Bitcoin? What would you do? on: November 11, 2019, 05:08:41 AM
If someone has 60 BTC can he start a decent crypto business to make passive income? Please share some business ideas.
What would you prefer? Casino/Sportsbetting/Wallet/Exchange and which has the highest earning potential?
Provided i have funds - 60BTC and no knowledge regarding business and i am not a designer but i want to start my own crypto business. Where can i start? Where can i find and hire team for myself like designers/developers etc to start my business? I know good team can help the business grow but bad team can ruin everything so what are the things to look for before starting a business? Where to get the business partners with good ideas and genuine team? Where would you start from if you are in my situation. Please share your opinions in this thread  Smiley

First and foremost, do not be in a rush to start your own crypto project without having any idea in a startup a particular business.  I will advise you to rather invest or buy a share in a well-established crypto project to avoid losing money.  It will be better to invest in already established businesses rather than creating a new project considering the current state of the crypto ecosystem.  Considering your post, I see you as someone that has no idea to start a crypto project which will be successful.

There probably are a lot of projects with good teams behind them that fail to take off. Crypto isa lot of times abut hypd and many people invest in projects that make a lot of noise. Marketing should be your top priority. If i have that much asset though, i wouldn't plan on pushing all of it in crypto. That's quite a lot of money that you can invest in other ventures that poses less risk.
