3081  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 06, 2021, 08:04:25 PM
Milan is getting better and better situation in the league, obviously we are not even half way there, but it is looking better and better for them each time the other teams lose. Milan literally has zero loss so far, that is something unbelievable, and they are one point ahead with 1 game less, so they are going to be 4 points ahead. Of course there is still time but it looks like there is still some time for Milan to make the difference even higher.

Inter is not doing bad, they are still fine too, but Milan is in a whole another level. Meanwhile Juventus is still fighting to get into Europe parts, they will most probably be in top 5 but it is funny that they have failed to stay there for too long, they should have been there long time ago, it is weird to see them not doing well at all but after a decade of being awesome, maybe it is time for them to suck.

3083  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: There is no certainty in trading on: December 29, 2020, 06:34:02 PM
That is why you have stop losses if you place them.
You can stop a bit extra from losing by adding a stop loss to your position. Certainties can only be there for fine predictors but as nobody is capable of doing it properly, it's better not to overdo it and then regret. We are enjoying and there is so much positivity I'm the markets, but why? Because btc has been pumped up. What would happen if the opposite was the scene?
Stop loss only deals with one part of the story, which is "not going into loss" and that's about it. The uncertainty we have goes way beyond that, for example when do you buy? When you should buy changes time to time, sometimes you are at 10k and it looks like you shouldn't buy and it goes down, sometimes it is at 10k and you should definitely buy because it is going up, same price but changes direction, stop loss can't help you with that.

Sometimes we do not know when to sell in profit as well, you may have stop loss to make sure you sell when it drops, but what if I want to sell when it is going up? That is totally possible as well right? So, I would say stop loss is a very very big important part of the situation which gives a tiny bit of certainty to you, but there are still 2/3 of it left that will always be uncertain and you will not know what will happen.
3084  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Btc and alts on: December 29, 2020, 04:29:23 PM
Bitcoin increases, altcoin prices go up? I think you are wrong, when bitcoin prices go up,
altcoins tend to dump, and if bitcoin decreases then altcoins will also dump,
this is the relationship between bitcoin and altcoin, unless bitcoin is sideways then altcoins usually will try to go up.
Are you sure about that? Bitcoin has increased a lot this year, and looking at altcoins, they all increased as well. So what makes you think that when bitcoin goes up, altcoins go down? Because we do not have anything like that right now. Only coin that is down at the moment is XRP and that is because of whats going on with SEC, nothing more.

I agree that whenever bitcoin has a pump, for just a few hours (1-2 hours) alts look like they are dumping, but in reality bitcoin increases which means altcoins go down in bitcoin value, but as soon as they realize the price going up, they try to get back to bitcoin price, which makes them higher in dollar price. Look at the top 10 coins (omit the stable coins) and you will find that all of the coins listed there has increased in the past 1 year, which is the proof that when bitcoin pumps, altcoins pump as well.
3085  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price will Rise to $60,000 by December 2021 on: December 29, 2020, 03:03:12 PM
Bitcoin price might go back to $5k in the next 3 months, it is hard to predict the future price of bitcoin. But if there is a strong FOMO, I believe bitcoin can go to $30k then dump back to $10k in 2 months. Everything is possible at this moment. But be careful when you FOMO, lots of ppl got REKT in 2017.
The price almost crossed $28,400, but right now it’s around $27,700. Well, I do believe that they are right, because I feel that there is extreme greed right now in the market . The price first got to $20,000 and there was fear that the market will fall because there has been a lot of people waiting for the moment the market will reach that $20,000 target and they will sell their coins in the market and then the price will drop, but the market moved from there and continued breaking other levels instead of falling as so many people expected. That triggered the greed, a lot of people are now buying because they feel it will keep going hence hitting $60k in 2021 may not be a big task due to FOMO.
3086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: December 29, 2020, 01:40:46 PM
40+ pages of discussion and everyone agrees on one thing; there are some people who does it. But nobody really gets into detail of it. There are two types of people who can make a profit from purely gambling, one of them is the people who gamble on pvp games, such as poker because in those games there is no guarantee you will lose, and if you are good at what you do that means you could profit from it for sure, depends on your talent levels.

Second type is the one who gambles against the house edge, but they gamble on twitch, or any other platform that allows such things, and they lose money in the end but they make more profit from the income of that instead. The one that is guaranteed to lose and can't make a living is the people who wager against house edge, because even if you win short term, you can't consistently make that profit forever.
3087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Current market conditions on: December 28, 2020, 07:11:58 PM
I believe crypto market is at a great situation right now, both great for buying right now, and both great for people who bought earlier as well, this is why I believe it is looking great for now. I think it is going to be pretty decent for a while as well. I have to say I wasn't expecting this much of a big increase neither, I did expected a bit of increase, but let me tell you how much I was wrong Cheesy.

I bought bitcoin at around 6-7k and expected it to go towards 13k, that was really my goal here, glad I didn't end up selling at that price but I have to say I am itching to sell right now to say the least. I will just put a stop loss at around 20k for bitcoin, and I have a stop loss for 400 dollars for ETH so those look great so far, I do not have any stop loss for other altcoins because if I can get this kind of profit from both BTC and ETH that is more than enough for covering others losses all the way to zero.
3088  Economy / Economics / Re: How will financial crisis affect crypto? on: December 28, 2020, 06:22:02 PM
It looks like the downtrend on the financial system is inevitable. How do you think this will affect crypto? People used to refer to gold in the past, will they move to crypto this time instead?
I kinda think, that the upcoming crisis actually gives crypto a chance.
I don’t know this for sure, though I think all these things doesn’t have anything to do with cryptocurrency. I know for sure that the interest in Bitcoin has been growing a lot this year especially because of the bull run, although a lot of people never expected this because of the coronavirus and how the market decreased earlier, they thought that it was not going to recover again and finally we are here.

But, now that we have reached a new ATH price will the price continue going up? That’s another question we have got to ask. Normally after the price reaches new ATH, it drops later. That’s why I said I don’t think it has anything to do with economy.
3089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP Price Dives After SEC Files Charges on: December 28, 2020, 05:19:36 PM
This is also just after the charges, it is not even the results. Think about what would happen if SEC finds Ripple guilty and they put the CEO and founders in jail, and bans Ripple company from doing work, asks for american exchanges to halt all XRP trade and all those things. Can you imagine what could potentially happen if they did something like that? It would make XRP price go to under 10 cents for sure without a doubt. Sure there are still other XRP holders in other nations so it will not completely die, but it will definitely put a big dent into the system.

And by "decentralized" logic, if Ripple is closed, that would mean there are non-American holders that will still continue to trade it. So I would say a big doom is on the way but not complete garbage, it will be like in top 50 probably, but it will barely be there while dropping a ton under other coins.
3090  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin gave a 230% returns in 2020: will the rally continue? on: December 28, 2020, 05:03:57 AM
Rally will continue, don't know how much returns it will show but 2021 looks to be a promising year for sure. First of all halving is still in full effect right now, people are mining a lot less which means selling a lot less, plus there are companies who bought 10k+ bitcoins and made insane returns which made other companies jealous of them and they are buying too, more and more companies now own 10k+ than ever before, and there will be more of them which means buying will go up as well.

So with less selling and more buying the price is bound to go up, there is no way that we will see the type of crashes we used to see back in the day anymore. It is clear that if the price of bitcoin ever goes down too much, the big companies will come up with a lot of money and they will end up with buying more of it, not making it go down as much as it used to.
3091  Economy / Speculation / Re: I doubt Bitcoin will dip below 20k again on: December 27, 2020, 03:27:07 PM
It definitely can reach to those levels, I am not saying it WILL reach to those levels but 20k is not really that far away from us right now so I could say it could drop under 20k with one big bear run and that would be the end of it. Obviously we can talk about 10k nowadays, when bitcoin crashed a lot, it actually went under 10k and it became like 4k and under, it happened just this year as well, in 2020, we have reached a bottom of yearly low at 3.8k or so, which means it was easy for bitcoin to reach to those levels, and we have seen those prices a lot more frequently as well.

I hope that we are not going to go down to under 10k ever again, that Is my hope, and I really want to see bitcoin always stay above 15k+ price, that would be a lot better for us in the future, when we have a huge crash it reverses all the gains we have made in crypto.
3092  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wow, The Best Crypto Christmas 🌲 Ever! on: December 27, 2020, 10:45:12 AM
Everyone is happy now, but just as XRP news hit, everyone was selling and fearing and the same OP that we see here creating the topic also created a topic about how Christmas bear has already started. I always knew that people changed ideas about bitcoin very quickly, but to see a topic on top of each other one where OP said bear started and another that talks how bitcoin and crypto is doing awesome is really weird. How did you changed your mind in a single day?

I would say do not change your mind this quickly over things, bitcoin has always been great, and will continue to be great and just because there are tiny bit of corrections and just because XRP went down a lot, do not consider crypto to be in a bear run right away, bear run starts very late compared to other times, which is why we should always be considering it doing well until proven otherwise.
3093  Economy / Economics / Re: which will u choose to buy on: December 27, 2020, 08:20:07 AM
Investing your money should always be your goal because this world is actually built around people who make money with money, and that is what you should be aiming to become as well. Just for example, everyone talks about how Jeff Bezos is rich right? He is the richest person and he owns so much of amazon and so forth, his net worth has been topic of discussion for a long time as well.

Do you know how he is rich? Well he owns stocks of amazon, that is how he got rich, obviously he is also the founder, which is why he is so rich and owns so much stocks, not like he bought them, but think about it like investing very early on and making money later, about the same logic. He didn't profited by selling some products, he profited by owning a stock, so made money with money. Buying anything will get you away from that, try to spend as little as possible and invest as much as you can.
3094  Economy / Economics / Re: How will financial crisis affect crypto? on: December 26, 2020, 03:40:41 PM
It is actually a double edge sword for us. I live in a nation with high inflation and because of this my crypto worths more and more every day, which means I do have more and more money. I have been doing the same work for over 3 years now very steady, but when I look at my salary I have been making a lot more money, probably about double or triple of what I used to make, and when I look at my income I feel like I am very rich right?

Well the thing is, my country is managed so badly, even double of my income compared to 3 years ago means that I can't survive, everything is soooooo much more expensive here, more than doubled the price, so I need to make triple of what I used to make in order to survive and not be in debt.

So, it is great that crypto goes up in financial crisis, at least I can try to catch up, would have been worse if I made the same amount of money, would have probably bankrupted by now so I am happy to make double of what I used to make, but in a financial crisis even that is not enough.
3095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase is going to delisting xrp? on: December 25, 2020, 05:02:48 PM
I am pretty sure that it all depends on the decision. If XRP is found guilty, just like bitmex was found guilty, that would mean that coinbase has to delist it, there is no other way and any other American exchange will have to delist it as well.

USA has been going a bit tough of crypto, they made it legal and supported and all that but they are also making it as much paperwork as possible, now they are saying they want to know the owners of wallets as well, you heard of that right? And don't get me wrong, if Ripple just wanted to have XRP as their coin on their wallet and nothing more, that would mean nothing would have happened to them, but since they are also a business that tries to make endless amount of profit from XRP and use that as bait, they are constantly getting action for their business which SEC of course can't allow, hence when they ban it, all American companies will have to stop using it.
3096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Non funded projects vs funded projects on: December 24, 2020, 05:48:47 PM
A project is not good depending on just the funding process. You could have a good project that is not funded or have a good project that is funded, you could have a bad project that is not funded or bad project that is funded.

It doesn't matter if it is funded or not, it just matters if it is good or not and how it could be good depends on just two parties, the team behind it and community around it that's all there is. If the team is not filled with scammers, if they actually work and want to make this a great project 50% of the situation is done, if the community behind it is also great that would make things a bit more awesome and fill it with 100%.

Without a good team you are going to have a lot of people scammed, without the community you are going to have a team who works for nothing. That is why I think it is quite important to have both.
3097  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: CONFESSION TIME: I SOLD TOO EARLY on: December 24, 2020, 09:46:18 AM
Right from time I believed more in Bitcoin more than any other cryptocurrencies, and that’s what has been working for me. Most of my investments in this year was in Bitcoin and I didn’t bother myself much when it comes to investing in altcoins, although I did invest in Ethereum, and I also wanted to invest in Synthetix and UMA (though with the way UMA is going recently I have lost interest in it). I am happy that Bitcoin went this far and has increased much. If it still goes up I will be more happy.

There are altcoins that were hyped a lot this year and their prices increased heavily, just like DeFi and they have crashed already.
3098  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC $24k another new all time high on: December 24, 2020, 09:14:16 AM
BTC just hit another new all time high passing through $24k https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/bitcoin
its time to rock on to $30k !
If the price should get to that thirty thousand dollars as an all time high for the year I think I will be okay with that because before now I have estimated that price of $30k to be the next level. A lot of people has been speculating like wildly but I am not taking what they have to say, because I am aware that wild speculations are normal whenever the price is moving like this.

The last time we saw this kind of bull run a lot of people were making some annoying statements like $1 million and $500k and so, like it was so dumb especially when I see such from some influencers. They have started the same thing this time around, some are saying $400k and others are putting it at $100k.
3099  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who are the 1% of traders who earn with trading? on: December 24, 2020, 06:35:03 AM
There are some people who have been trading for decades, and there are some people who literally do this as a business outside of crypto as well as doing it in crypto. I have a friend who is in finance world, he was in finance world before he met crypto as well and he was earning a decent amount of money, it wasn't insanely high, but it was a pretty decent and a good income, more than double what I am earning right now.

Three years ago he got involved, got a bit of help from me even though not much, and after that he got into crypto and technical analysis and things like that. He got into crypto at around 10k back in the day and had 7 bitcoins, now bitcoin is over 20k and he has over 50 bitcoins. Dude was just good, he didn't became like this by studying after he met with crypto, he was already like this for 2 decades and just used that info on crypto.
3100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $WAVES to hit $10 price soon? on: December 23, 2020, 04:31:20 PM
I have to say when I first heard 10 dollars per wave I was more like "pff no waaaay" but now looking at recent high of 7.5 dollars it looks like 10 dollars is nothing compared to the increases it had to endure to come all the way down here. It means I could potentially see wave price being 10 dollars soon, and if it continues to grow like this over all the other lately, I can see this becoming top 20 coin and I can see this going over 20 even 30 dollars one day. Not saying that would happen soon, obviously it wouldn't happen anytime soon, but it could happen one day by the looks of it.

I remember this coin was out of top 50 just a year or so ago, which means I get that all crypto market increased but this coin increased more than many other coins.
