3182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple XRP - 10$ THIS YEAR! on: February 26, 2018, 12:47:50 PM
XRP has had its run, Ripple as a company will do fine, the banks will have thier own coins and are just using XRP as a test. Don't be fooled Ripple is not XRP. I prefer Stellar, XLM, as oppose to Ripple XRP, it's newer and it's targeted at people and institutions that can't just make thier own crypto currencies.

Think about it, why would the largest banks in the world who have developed systems which are better than what most cryptocurrencies are currently now, thirty years ago be interested in using XRP as oppose to developing thier own? Perhaps they are using Ripple as a consulting company, but they have hundreds of billions of dollars and thousands of the brightest minds working for them. They don't need XRP. XRP needs the banks.

Think about it, the supply of XRP is huge and the founders and original people involved stand to make billions, the tech can easily be copied and improved upon for that price. Banks aren't stupid they are the richest organizations to have ever existed for a reason. You don't get rich writing cheques. I'd be surprised if XRP hits 5 dollars accounting for inflation.

Think about it, why would largest banks in the world use SWIFT, as oppose to developing their own?

Banks did create a network, its called SWIFT.  You know its owned by the banks?

Not ALL banks, actually minority of them are owners...why rest of them use
(much more expensive than Ripple network, btw) SWIFT, when they could create their own?

$10 is not possible because at $10 it will surpass bitcoin market cap. $4 to $5 still looks achievable.

Apple shares cant go over xxx because it would surpass Microsoft market cap?

after yesterday the creator of Ripple lost 530 trillion, I think Ripple labs will distribute some Ripple to the market, so the value of Ripple in this year will exceed $ 2.

I think I should buy Ripple right now. reach $10 not impossible.

I didn't notice anything big happened yesterday...530 trillion of what, grains of sand?

3184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Etherium Classic - Callisto airdop 5th of March 2018 on: February 25, 2018, 08:55:00 PM
Tell me please, if I keep Ethereum Classic on the MyEtherWallet wallet with the ETC node, will I get this fork? And when will the accrued?
Can anyone answer the question? Will I receive coins and how can they be seen in my wallet?  Cool
It's same as Ethereum. You need to use the Short name, Contract Address and decimals to import token into your MEW wallet.
Then you'll see your tokens on Ethereum Classic wallet.

But if its on separate blockchain, its not token, its mineable coin?
3185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sapphire RX 550 2Gb Best ROI ~ 450 H/s cryptonight on: February 25, 2018, 04:43:59 PM
That's pretty good but the HD 7850 also does ~19.5 MH/s on Ethash coins with a <2GB Dag like UBQ, or ~80 cents/day with a ~3 month ROI.

http://whattomine.com/coins/173-ubq-ethash?utf8=%E2%9C%93&hr=19.0&p=130.0&fee=3.0&cost=0.12&hcost=80&commit=Calculate

The RX 550 is only ~30 cents/day on XMR.

http://whattomine.com/coins/101-xmr-cryptonight?utf8=%E2%9C%93&hr=450&p=45&fee=3.0&cost=0.12&hcost=0.0&commit=Calculate

I highly doubt that, my R9 380 with modified bios is doing only 21.5 at ethash algos

Although, your 7850 OCs really well, my MSI 7850 1GB version OCs only to 1350

Also, monero is not the frist option for cryptonight these days, there are more worthy coins
(although most of them are shitcoins, but hey, people still buy them Smiley )
3186  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Merit "trading" - buying and selling Bitcointalk merit on: February 25, 2018, 03:48:21 PM
People who like new system the most are those that ranked up a day before new system was introduced

People who dislike it the most are those that were 1 day away from ranking up before it was introduced
3187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 560 4GB Ethereum on: February 24, 2018, 09:04:37 AM
Guys, please could you help me. Where mining is concerned, what is the difference between the rx 550 and the rx 560?

Bump - really would like some help. I have one MSI rx 560 OC 4gb that gives me 12.8mh when dual mining and want to build a 13 gpu on thes entry level cards due to stock - just see the 560 is a 40% price premium to the 550 4gb so hoping one of you have experience with the differential between them as I can’t find it related to mining

Its much worse for ethash, but its OK for cryptonight, from what I can see on forums (don't own RX550
so can't personally confirm)

So they gave free coins to previous ETH owners?

Looks like a great project! Love the AI bot in telegram and the livestreams. Once this hidden gem gets known into public and comes on exchanges and coinmarketcap it will fly off.. Great project and with a product that is already doing what they promised and only gets better!

I like it too...it has some "mad scientist at work" aura around it Cheesy

Where did you find that version, and whats new?

I had found a new better memory strap for Elpida RAM. More than 1kh/s cryptonight xmr ! Cheesy

RX 470 : 1020 h/s  , sgminer @1250 core, @2100 mem, 66W (gpu-z)

                   942 h/s , @1150 core, @2050 mem, 52W (gpu-z)

777000000000000022AA1C00AC615B3CA0550F142C8C1506006004007C041420CA8980A9020004C 01712262B612B3715

I donīt know the eth hash speed.  Huh Maybe somebody can check it ?

This strap is bad. Both of my cards bsod hard with it. Also its slower and runs with more power. Trfx and ras2ras are too tight.

I often see TRFC and ras2ras for elpida straps at that value

Its actually default value for 1500MHz strap
Make it better

My bad, i didnt say that properly. The trfc and ras2ras for xryptonight is nearly useless, you lose about 10h/s when going to 150 for example. But the power cons drops by 5watts. Thats for cryptonight.

Also, all trcd values are not properly done, the A value should be the same as the non A one.

Make it better ! I test so much straps, and that are the best, I can find.

Good idea Smiley

And shame you have no merit, despite helping people a lot, so let me give you first one
3193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBPolaris V3.3 - BIOS editor for RX4XX and RX5XX cards on: February 21, 2018, 11:55:12 AM
why are you guys purchasing 560 gpus?

they give only 1$ per gpu!!

Because they pay off twice as fast as 570 or 580 because for
the price of one rx580, you can buy four 560s?

So, after you apply some math to all this, you actually earn twice as much
for same money invested
3194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 560 hashrates on: February 21, 2018, 08:06:13 AM
This is what I do - despite what people say on Windows 10 you don't need dummy hmdi plugs, instead if your motherboard supports it force on-board graphics (so no graphics go via the cards you are mining with), and allow Windows 10 to detect the cards in device manager normally.

When adding new cards always and I mean always (this has cost me hours) uninstall the AMD drivers with DDU, then install the blockchain drivers fresh.

Lastly I've had much better results for AMD cards with OverdriveNTool instead of Afterburner etc.

I support this, wattman and OverdriveNTool are only ones that always worked for me, direct OC from miners and AB and Trixx get
broken often...only if you don't upgrade drivers, use AB or trixx

3197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Cryptonight algorithm question on: February 20, 2018, 01:51:51 PM
When CPU is used for mining, 1 core per 2MB L3 cache is optimal

When GPU is used, do miners use similar "tactic", for example

2mb GDDR5 per shader...so in case of RX580 which has

2304 shaders, that means 8GB card is better than 4GB?

Is intensity parameter in miners somehow correlated to

number of shaders?

Around 500$ for me and 560 are around 150$ so better to buy 3 560 Smiley

Consider yourself lucky, price increased here meanwhile

thats about €700, or $900

And you would not believe it, but people still buy them
