321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: New metamask wallet scam on: March 15, 2022, 10:33:06 AM
Wow, I've got one of those emails too but I didn't paid attention, as I don't really use MetaMask at all, just for site registrations. Too many complications with them lately, stolen funds, hacks etc. only bad things I hear about them.
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Gas Fee is too High? on: March 15, 2022, 09:14:30 AM
I never understood why people still use ETH as there the fees are insane. It was suppose to be a cheaper alternative to BTC but it turned out that it's even worse in scaling and fees skyrocketed. Aside of Bitcoin , until now I see no other better chain alternative to ETH then Binance BSC.
We'll see what will happen after the PoW is replaced, but then the whales will play a big role.
323  Other / Meta / Re: Not sure is the thread is legal. on: March 14, 2022, 08:16:27 AM
That's good that was removed. At least the forum's policy is not like the facebook's (or meta or whatever it is now) one and hope will never be.

Ukraine war: Posts calling for violence against Putin and Russian soldiers 'to be temporarily allowed' on Facebook

Source

How allowing aggression in this way will help solving the problem? It only creates hate and more innocent will be harmed then help the current situation in any way.
324  Other / Meta / Re: The situation with Ukraine and the accounts that supported the war. on: March 14, 2022, 08:06:02 AM
Trust system is not designed to deal with someone's political views. It's purely for trading reputation and it's mostly forum related. For me in the OP situation, it is unappropriated to use negative feedback for what people believe in or not. There's always two sides of the medal and there will always be two sides.

And here comes the rule no. 8. This is the only rule you can use if there's any personal conflict on that high level.

327  Economy / Reputation / Re: Deleting my telegram @worldofcoinss on: March 03, 2022, 12:24:43 PM
-This is for my business contacts and people who have dealt with me.

-I cannot go through each past post where i posted my tg so I’m writing it in reputation

I’ll delete my tg on 9th March 2022 and anyone claiming to me from 10th march 2022 will be an imposter.

Let me quote the OP it just in case.

Keep in mind that even when you delete posts from the forum they are still available on the "archive" service posted above.
You can write a message in the profile page that you don't control the account so everyone who check your profile can read it, I'm sure not many will read this thread.

330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance is refusing to block Russian customer's crypto wallets. on: March 02, 2022, 10:16:33 AM
Bitcoin is freedom and it should be for everyone.
Bitcoin should not be a political tool.

There are a bit more of a handful of oligarchs for sure, but there are many millions of other Russian people who don't want the war but they gonna suffer the consequences anyway. Those people should have an alternative to loose everything because of the tyranny they live with.

Thanks, I appreciate. Is there a reason why a signed message will verify in a wallet and fail in another?

Not many support the segwit bech32 address verification.

This one seems to work > https://www.verifybitcoinmessage.com/

I'm 100% sure those are connected accounts. Just check their last activity time stamps too Smiley
Hope the mods will take action.
Im curious how you knew or notify that they just recently woke up accounts. You are using any tool? It seems cool to watch out for some bought account that are ready to do some bounty hunting. Anyway nice find to bust some cheaters.

What you need is the Security log: https://bitcointalk.org/seclog.php but for to see the newbies you need to click the "show all" link.
There one other handy log to monitor, the Moderation log: https://bitcointalk.org/seclog.php there you can see deleted posts, threads and banned/nuked users.

If you open each and every account from the top list and go to their turst page you going to see that they all has those messages >

If you guys want to have fun reporting shitposters like this one:

Project is good

Just keep an eye on that one.. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5387145.0

Looks to me like classic airdrop activity. I checked their website and they do have an airdrop going on at the moment (https://dashboard.flagnetwork.finance/airdrop) but comments on bitcointalk are not part of it, while I was pretty sure that I would find something there, some reason to get that thread nuked.

By the way, that Flag Network looks dodgy AF even without that thread bumping/whatever they are doing there, starting from most likely fake team.

Yeah, I tried to put a kind of warning to the newbies that this could look like a scam based on the current activity, I hope nobody will loose money there. So many promising project with future just got wasted and the team ran with the money, it's just sick.

336  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ukrainian Scam Donation Posts and Users on: March 01, 2022, 08:36:39 AM
I just reported a post from a newbie >  1of16.game when I thought that the link he posted as one of those trying to scam ppl but it turns out that it's legit. I apologies to the guy here, but I never heard of www.binance.charity before. It was weird that the guy last post was from 2017 and then came back yesterday to ask for moderators help. So I quickly assumed that is just spam/scam.

Here's the deleted posts.

hello community. there will be no appeals and political slogans. just join or go to another post.
if you want to support the Binance initiative and help Ukraine - I will be very grateful to each of you.

So ppl sometimes there are legit links posted by the suspicious newbies, just double check before you report.
337  Economy / Reputation / Re: Farm woke up and joined the same campaigns. on: March 01, 2022, 08:19:55 AM
Took me some time, but all are tagged now Smiley
The reason is: trying to abuse bounties with alt accounts!
If anyone from the tagged above wants to complain (you won't change my mind tho), post here don't send me PMs, I won't answer them.

Note: Don't bother to delete your bounty posts, they are well archived thanks to @TryNinja https://ninjastic.space/!
338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin private key storage on: February 28, 2022, 02:43:27 PM
I have read that many people choose to store their bitcoin private keys on steel plates by engraving the seed phrase on the plates.
I thought of doing the same and so I searched for vendors around me and contacted one of them.
After discussing with the vendor I got to know that we can engrave the keys on steel as well as aluminium plates.
He also said that aluminium plates are cheaper than steel but on the other hand steel is stronger than aluminium.
And so I have the below two questions to ask you guys before I proceed with securing my keys.

1. Should I go with aluminium or steel plates ?
2. Wouldn't it be a risk if I give my keys to the vendor to engrave it on the plates ? What if he steals my coins?

Never give anyone your seed/pr. key! NEVER!

There are many different solutions where you can engrave/mark your seen phrase yourself.
Depending of the type of aluminum, the melting point of of the pure aluminium is around 660C, but there are different aluminum alloys with higher melting point. So ti really depends what type of alloy you want to buy.
339  Economy / Reputation / Re: Farm woke up and joined the same campaigns. on: February 28, 2022, 02:17:54 PM
It's just funny to see that every time I try to play with different approach, some shitposters coming out to either avoid bans or growing farms. It's so ridiculous that you need like 2 min to spot them and they are like everywhere.

So sad to see the forum goes in that direction. Luckily, I have some spare time to play the cat and mouse game with them.

Regarding the bounties, I haven't checked. Only noticed that one of the mangers was tagged.
340  Other / Politics & Society / If you still wonder why Russia invaded Ukraine, look no further. The answer. on: February 28, 2022, 01:47:13 PM
I have watched a few videos with suggestions why would Putin want that much Ukraine and this 30+ mins seems to nailed it.

It's a long one as the conflict between the two countries and actually the two packs NATO and old Warsaw Pack are quite complicated, together with some economical interests over natural gas and oil resources.

You'll finally get a clear picture of what and why it happen to Crimea back in 2014 and how it led to this war.
