321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Impact of bitcoin if Satoshi Identity is revealed on: March 21, 2022, 11:34:00 AM
One of the reason for high trust on bitcoin is that the bitcoin owner Satoshi identity is hidden. If all of sudden Satoshi come in the public and his identity is revealed, do you think it will have a bad impact on the bitcoin price and it can dump?  Or do you think that bitcoin price will pump on this revelation? Mind you that i am talking about the real satoshi, not the fake ones claiming themselves to be satoshi.

As the series decider test match against Pakistan approaches, Australia has won the toss and chosen to bat first. How do you think the series will turn out?

Pakistan replaces Faheem Ashraf with Naseem Shah; but Australia remain unchanged. The match will demonstrate that Pakistan can beat Australia. For the first day of a test match, the pitch should provide more for bowlers. Here we go. Australians are 8/2, and Sahin Afridi has the early break.

Seems like Australia have recovered after two early wickets. Usman khawaja is in no mood of showing mercy to his country of birth as he is not out on 47 along with Smith on 41. I haven't seen the pitch so far just checked the score online, I am hopeful this match will be a decider. Let's wait for score till stumps.

Shaheen Shah did take two early wickets but it was very early in the match. Now the things have settled and also the pitch look good for batting. Its too early to say who will win the match or whether this will be another draw.

Edit: Smith is gone. Will this be a turning point in the match?
323  Economy / Gambling / Re: WOWCasino.com | WOW Crypto Casino Official Thread on: March 21, 2022, 10:07:48 AM
Why not try the casino to see for yourself if this is trustworthy or not? You can also check their trust summary (no feedback yet) and read this thread if there are complaints or issues. They can only build their reputation thru time.

If you ask me, i am not the one who usually jumps and deposits into new casino and test it out if it's trust is worthy or not. I will rather wait for the feedback from others and see how was their experience on the site.

A lot of new casinos usually give some free credit to bitcointalk users to play at their sites. I wonder if WOWCasino can start a small campaign where people can play with free money and then write a review about their experience.
324  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling Sites on: March 21, 2022, 09:37:56 AM
Please! Is there any gambling site that I can easily sign up? I tried Gamdom.com but it is not opening either it is only loading since morning...so, I need a site that I can access easily.

There are many gambling sites and all of them are easily accessible unless you live in a region that is prohibited by the gambling site. You need to check the internet settings at your end and figure out why you are unable to open gamdom or any other site.

Since you asked for suggestions for a gambling site, you can use the link in my signature to create an account on betfury and can enjoy gambling there.
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ZCash vs Monero on: March 20, 2022, 03:34:06 PM
I've noticed ZCash is doing rather well lately, and my centralized exchange supports it however... I still wish I could buy Monero instead. Regardless of the token potential ( I mean, even Dogecoin can make you money right ? ) I'm more interested in the utility of the token. As far as privacy and anonimity, Monero has long been regarded as the leader in this space... I wonder if ZCash provides a sufficiently good alternative ? I've heard it doesn't have the privacy options by default, and most people don't use them, whereas with Monero , most users appreciate and use these features. ZCash users on the other hand are even discouraged from using them ? ( that's what I've heard ). So is ZCash even worth considering ?

Both of them are privacy coins and i don't see any reason to compare them. You can compare them with bitcoins but those two coins are good for holding and investment if you know the potential of privacy coins.

zcash and monero both are private coin that still being active develop and have huge community althougt KYC exchange like binance or bittrex start to delisting it because that fiture

Even though binance or other centralized exchanges may delist them, they still have a big use case and they won't lose their value. When it comes to privacy nothing is better than Monero or ZCash.
326  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: March 20, 2022, 02:57:17 PM
I would say when you are willing to wager a lot, then you are accepting the fact you may end up losing a lot of money when you are doing this. Doesn't mean that you should be losing it all, just means that you will be inclined to lose more than you usually do.

Real gamblers don't really care about the losses. If any gambler is too cautious to lose money, he should not gamble in the first place. A lot of wagering may lose you a lot of money but at the same time you increase your chances of winning too.
My suggestion is that if you have a lot of money, then you can wager as much as you can but do it on trusted platforms like roobet etc. Not only you will enjoy gamble but at same time, your luck can make you millionaire.
327  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦉 Owl.games 🦉 Web 3.0 Crypto Casino & Sportsbook - BTC-Metamask-Walletconnect on: March 20, 2022, 02:23:55 PM

With the team's hard work for the OWL project, it is hoped that this will bring good results to the project itself and can grow over time. Moreover, the market is in good condition where the price has also increased quite a bit.

You can't ignore the price it's one parameter you can't ignore 239.3% increase in six months is an achievement when so many coins in the market are dropping, this could only mean that they are gaining support and the current price will continue to improve, the best time to accumulate is now, so far everything is positive on Owl.games.

The 2% deposit fee and the high APY play an important role on why the token price keep increasing for a long time frame without any major dumping lower than the listing price. Investors are forced to stake longer to recover the instant 2% loss in deposit while they need to stake longer after recovering the deposit fee to finally gain the passive interest as there realized profit. This is a good parameters for controlling the price to a safest way for investors not panic sell in times crypto market experiencing a strong sell pressure.

Do you think that this high APY is sustainable and Owl team will keep on offering this attractive APY ? If at any time the profit margin is decreased we may see a steep decrease in the price of the token. However as the things are progressing, i hope to see OWLDAO token will create a new all time high. Also i am waiting this token to be listed on centralized exchanges.
328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banning Bitcoin is Like Banning the Internet, Says Russia’s Finance Minister on: March 20, 2022, 01:18:27 PM
And speaking of that though, the West is trying to disconnect and isolate Russia completely off the internet as some firms are already pulling out from the country. But for now, Russia has its own called RuNet. As they are feeling the wrath of the Western sanctions, BTC is their alternative to fund themselves. Although that it is a good alternative to counter these sanctions, but it’s not enough to rebuild their economy back to its old self.

Practically it is not possible to completely ban the Internet in Russia. There are some attempts to limit the internet access in Russia as there has been a lot of cyberattacks being conducted in Russia. Though all the steps taken by the Russians are temporary in lieu of the current circumstances and there is no plan to disconnect Russia from the outside world.
Russia’s denying that it’s about to cut itself off from the global internet, but it’s acting a lot like it.
329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No Bitcoin, No fun for you! on: March 20, 2022, 01:08:39 PM
So, do you see this trend going on and become nothing relevant or not, and at the same time do you think the authorities will try and squash this before it gets any traction and will of course harm their efforts of currency control even more?

Prostitution is one of the oldest forms of business that cannot be "squashed" and don't care about what would make the governments sleep well, instead, all they care about is the income.
It could become a trend. It could show that you don't have to be rocket computer scientist to get to benefit from Bitcoin and it could make the.. erm...customers... think a bit and give bitcoin a chance.

A lot of mobile wallets are out there can really make that happen and if other prostitutes around the world get inspired by this article they can also start to accept Bitcoin. The only problem that I see here would be the fees because where I am located you can sometimes in some remote villages find a prostitute for just 5 EUR or like 10-20 EUR in cities,I am not talking about escorts that cost like 300-500 EUR for night. Many people would be turned down by fees if fees in the Bitcoin network are high at the moment of the "meeting".

If you read the news shared by the stompix, you will find that it is not about only bitcoin, but all the cryptocurrencies.
Quote
Russian prostitutes began to take cryptocurrency from clients
This means that prostitutes can take money in litecoin, dogecoin or any other crypto currencies where they do not have to pay the fee and also the transaction speed will be fast. The big question remains that are all the prostitutes are so educated that they know how the crypto currencies work  Huh
330  Economy / Gambling / Re: MintDice – Bitcoin Casino With Online Slots, Bitcoin Crash & Bitcoin Investment on: March 20, 2022, 09:31:43 AM
I see on the footer some exciting news about your website, I see that you are about to add a sports book? That was really great I am excited to see that you will be adding sports betting in your website I would also like to see if you would be having an investment opportunity for some people who wanted to invest in your website since I see in the title that you have a Bitcoin investment.

As far as I can see Mintdice has great plan but the execution is so slow. For the example is the upgrade from v1 to v2, it took very long time if I remember it correctly. Coming up to the plan of adding sports book, I hope they can work harder and faster in it. It is their 3rd year now and they still have so low number of active players (based on the online user stats). However I appreciate their patience as I think other sites would have decided to give up and turn the site off if the traffic for the first 1-2 years is not good enough.

With their upcoming plans, i can see that they have no plan to quit. The execution of their plans are slow and there could be a number of reasons for this. Low revenue or less players on thier site ? They need to market themselves in order for them to grow their user base. The more the number of registered users on their site, the more revenue they can generate. They also need to be active on their social media handles like twitter (https://twitter.com/MintDice).
331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your opinions about simulated reality games? on: March 20, 2022, 08:52:11 AM
I am not a big fan of simulated reality games, because I think artificial intelligence are not good enough to give me the satisfaction from watching the real thing. Yes, casinos might say that it is not rigged.... but I have seen games that would have never turned out like the real thing.. if it was a human playing in those games.  Roll Eyes

I have bet on some of those games, just to get a feel for it.... but I was not impressed at all. It was like eating a hamburger patty that was manufactured in a lab ... it tastes real, but you know it is fake.  Roll Eyes

Which sites offer betting on simulated reality games ?
As the name suggests it is "simulated" which means the results are predetermined? To tell you truth, i have no confidence in these games because i feel when AI is involved in any game, it can be manipulated. How about the gambling sites doing the manipulation on the simulated reality games  Shocked
332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 20, 2022, 05:21:06 AM
This WC has lost its charm as Australia is unbeaten so far and it seems very much likely that they will take the Cup home. Apart from that full credit to teams of WI and SA for beating teams like NZ and England. I am sure in next WC we will see more improved performance from India and Bangladesh.
Even today India gave a decent target of 277 but couldn't defend it, purely a bowlers fault.
Well.. I was expecting Australia to win. Right now in women's cricket Australia is what India is in men's game. They have several superstars such as Ellyse Perry, Megan Schutt and Meg Lanning. Indians on the other hand are having a very unbalanced side, with the 39-year old Jhulan Goswami still heading the pace attack. This time the top order also failed for India (Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma made a total of 22 runs between them), but Mithali Raj and Harmanpreet Kaur guided them to a decent total. But in the end, it came to experience and better ability to preform under pressure.

Australia and England are the two better teams in this competition and everyone expected them to be the winners, I mean one of them. But England did not look to perform at their best in this tournament. And Australia does not seem like they have too much trouble from the other teams. All the other teams playing in this tournament are just not at the level of Australia in women's cricket.

The way the Australian team chased the Indian target of around 277 runs, it seems that they are unbeatable and they out perform all the other teams participating in the world cup. I can see them a clear winner in this world cup.
Today, we also witness another thriller match between NewZealand and England. NZ become really close to winning this match and they only needed one wicket to make the match in their name. But luckily England survived and chased the target.
333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 19, 2022, 04:03:26 AM
^^ Bangladesh women lost their match against West Indies women by only four runs. I also think that West Indies are lucky in this tournament because they have won quite a lot of matches by single digit runs.

But, I have to say that Bangladesh played really badly, especially in the batting half. 140 is not a big score by any means and they could not reach it. After watching the Batsmen play I think that they are really lacking confidence. I think they have really good skills and can play very well but the way they are playing didn't look too confident to me.
What a thriller, though.
Bangladeshi women are in for a tough time. The only thing they need to do is fight to the end, but pressure creates ridiculous scenarios. Nahida shouldn't have taken the single in the last over, an unneeded move that led them to lose in close quarters. They are playing better cricket than Pakistan so far despite competing for the first time in the ODI world cup. Excellent performance. I hope the momentum continues.

Another interesting match between the Australian women's team and the Indian women's team is in progress. I can see India posting a good total against the unbeaten Australian team. Australia opted to bat today on a day that can be affected by the rain in the latter half of the innings. Indian team would desperately want this win to move them a bit up in the points table while the win for the Australians will confirm their place in the semi-finals.

<...>

You have listed practically all the evil corporations that collect users' personal data and use it at their own discretion. It seems to me that the world will increasingly move away from such centralized companies towards open source development and in my opinion that would be the best solution. Even if it is not as convenient to use, we won't have to worry about our data. I hope soon WEB 3 will be used everywhere.

you have a point
I think we'll end up with a mix, with more people learning about the importance of privacy and taking care of their data
but also more people falling for the convenience trap and ending up giving even more information to third-parties...

If other people don't care about your personal data, then what does it matter if they obtain it? Other people have stated that they do not want their personal information obtained. This is the biggest debate of all time. I believe that as technology advances, we will be forced to divulge more and more of our personal information to third parties. This is similar to the situation in China, where all of their citizens' personal information is collected and used for the greater good. No idea how they will handle our data with this, but I am hoping that they will use it for the betterment of the community.

The key here is how they use and obtain personal data. for example: if they collect the information about their users, they must keep it safe and use only when the official authorities will have special permission to check the data for security reasons(such as money laundering and etc.) and the whole process must be transparent.

These days it is very difficult to safe gaurd our data. We have done KYC on many websites and if any of those companies is not of a good repute, they can sell or misuse our data.
Ofcourse, the purpose of collecting all this data is to stop the illegal means of actions and to use this data in case any mishap or security breach happen but oher than that it is the responisbilities of the companies to keep that data access very limited.
335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 17, 2022, 09:29:42 PM
England scored 404 runs with the help of Root, Lawrence and Stokes. The partnership of ROot and Lawrence was very necessary after taking both the wickets quickly. Today, Stokes's performance is just awesome. His batting looks like it is an ODI or T20 match. He has collected 103 runs. He hit 11 fours and 4 sixes. Maybe England will declare the innings after collecting 500 runs.

As you guess, England declared their innings after collecting 507 runs. Ben Stokes' performance impressed me too. He collected 120 runs off 128 balls. And in Test matches too, he has hit 6 over boundaries. Which was awesome.
England's collection is very good. Now England can win only if the bowlers can fulfill their responsibilities properly. West Indies will bat like about 25 overs today. If England can take two wickets today, then they can control the match.

Aren't we seeing some big scores being made by the teams? First, we saw Australian and Pakistan teams making 450-500 runs in every innings of the first two test matches between them and now England here scored 500+ runs. It will not be easy for WI to score the same amount of runs. Their first target should to be to made 307 runs and avoid the follow on. If WI managed to do this, then we are heading towards the draw in this test match.
336  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Scalpers and day traders - Never lie, be realistic. on: March 17, 2022, 05:34:38 AM
Personally, I don't take profits that way, and I don't use scalping or day trading. I prefer the method of looking at the potential coins, then holding them for a certain amount of time and selling them. maybe, very many people benefit from scalping, and day trading, but I feel that the results obtained are not optimal, and the risk is also quite high.
other reasons, it must be done quickly, or within 1 day. Personally, I don't like it that way because it keeps me watching the chart for a period of time until I sell it. So, I prefer to buy coins, then hold them long term before selling them. it allows me to think more optimally than rushing to sell assets, or do day trading. well, I'm not used to it either, so I feel that it's a difficult thing.
Not many traders use scalping or day trading because it requires more skill than buying and holding it for a certain period. I think it will be safer than using scalping and day trading and it can also reduce the tension in trading. This method can be used by many traders, especially those who do not have more skills than other traders.

I also use this method because it allows me to practice patience in trading and it allows me to learn about market conditions that are still unstable. When we use this method, we need to pay attention to not panic if the price drops because it is only temporary and even that is another opportunity that we can get to buy at a lower price.

For scalping and day trading, you not only need to be very expert in trading but at the same time you need to have a big portfolio. Since you take less percentage reward in scapling, the position size is usually higher in trades taken by the traders. If you are not expert, you will keep hitting the stoploss in scapling and  day trading. For beginners it is recommeneded that they start with scalping which has much better results in terms of risk and reward.

Unbelievable comeback. Never expected Pakistan to escape from a loss in this second test. Azam, Rizwan etc were brilliant while Lyon was the only Aus bowler piling pressure on them based on what I observed.

Pakistan were lucky on a couple of occasions. For example, Smith could have removed Shafique early, but messed up big-time. Looks like the third and final test is the decider.
Very right what an exciting play we just watched - Pakistan had no chance till yesterday – But what a great technique and discipline– even drawing is winning. Today’s hero is Babar Azam and Muhmmad Rizwan. Aussie were amazed too  what is happening on dead pitch!

It's an unbelievable, what a thrilling draw in Karachi! A definite match savior innings played by them. The captain driving from the front. Today Babar Azam and Muhmmad Rizwan, yesterday courageous batting show by Shafique guarantee Pakistan keep away from a definite loss. The result we won't ever anticipate. Equally supportive and impressive innings by Shafique and Rizwan. This draw take Pakistan to 4th place in WTC table.
What a fantastic win for Pakistan – Congrats  to Pakistani Cricket team and all the Pakistani cricket fans!
It was a thrilling draw – fantastic performance from Babaer Azam and Muhammad Rizwan. Incredible performance by Pakistan team, there was no chance till yesterday but what a day it was for PK team

This is indeed a win for Pakistan. Surviving 5 sessions against the Australians is indeed a big time. Pakistan team has really shown immense professionalism in the match. The whole nation is celebrating the win as if we have won the match.

Baber Azam almost 200 runs (196 exactly) along with others batsmen shows the talent we have in the team. For Australians they miss the trick by not enforcing the follow on, maybe they wanted to give some rest to the bowlers at that point of time.

Let's not forget that it was the Pakistan team who were all out at 148 runs on a wicket which was declared as dead by the analysts. So it was not that difficult to stay on wickets on such a wicket.

Secondly, in the two test matches, Australians were confident in all 4 innings while Pakistan was comfortable in only three of the four innings.
338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 14, 2022, 12:32:56 PM
But whatsoever - Pakistani are too enthusiastic for cricket - and they would not like to see excuses. What is coming next in Pak and Aus test series?

I see the first follow-on coming into play in the test series between Pakistan and Australia

Australia had the perfect opportunity to take the follow on and invited Pakistan to bat again. Their moral was low and they could have easily taken 2 -3 more wickets today making the winning seal for the Aussies.

However, i do not understand what make Pat Cummins not to take the follow on and go for another round of batting  Huh

he tweeted this and we see no big movement in the market
Which is good.  Glad we are finally over with one day pumps.

Don't know if those one day pump days are over or not. Currently, the market is very volatile not only because of the war but also we are about to hear the interest rates increase announcement by the USA soon. This may further push back the bitcoin prices. In these times, this tweet by elon musk has no effect. In a bull market, we might have seen the different reactions to this tweet. What we know now is that Elon Musk not only hold bitcoin and dogecoin but he also hold ethereum ( he never disclosed this before)

Giving a wedding gift like Bitcoin is very rare in my country, of course it is something special for your sister and teach your sister how to use a secure bitcoin wallet and be careful of phishing and scammers, by giving a bitcoin gift to your sister, hopefully also your sister can continue the accumulation to later be given to her grandchildren.

Really i can see how time is changing. Previously during marriages, the inherited gold was transferred to the children from parents and grand parents and so on. Sooner or later this physical gold will be replaced by digital gold (bitcoin BTC) and parents will transfer bitcoins on marriages. This is what we call digital transformation.
