321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex hostaging my funds 8 months already on: March 21, 2018, 09:27:49 PM
I actually wonder why you have to wait till this time before you speak out and say what went wrong which is up to a year now. I won't be surprised if Poloniex has closed the ticket and forget anything about that transaction exist. What I see here is really not Poloniex fault because the returner sent to a general wallet as there would have been several amount into that account as well which would then be difficult to proof that it actually came from you and I think that would be what caused the delay in addition to maybe other factors that promote the ineptitude of the management of Poloniex.
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency to be accepted in shops by 2025? on: March 21, 2018, 05:37:28 PM

Surveys are done to get the reaction of people to certain scenarios which is basically based on how they feel about the topic being discussed, the sample area, and even their state of mind and not backed by action. If they believe that all of those dominance would happen in 7 years from now, the questions is, what are they doing about it or they feel its going to happen because they said it. Things like this don't happen by chance rather by conscious effort by like minded individuals to pursue the right objectives.
323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin worth risking your time and money? on: March 21, 2018, 12:38:35 PM
We all know that involving in bitcoin it takes your time and also money. Is it worthy to risk your time and money because of bitcoin?

Is it worth it? You are only asking the question whose answers is all over the place but you chose to still ignore. From the mass number of people that wake up every in different part of the world with different times zones and visit the forum, to the ones on reddit and other crypto related platforms, to several news website dedicated to only crypto and triple amount of those individuals on several exchange sites across the world and as a bonus crypto is still an emerging currency which makes us one of the earlier adopters. Yes it worth it.
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google Bans All Cryptocurrency Ads, Will It Will Lead to Their Downfall? on: March 20, 2018, 03:08:28 PM
Recently I came across this article on CCN, what do you think about Crowdholding's thoughts about the recent Google Ads ban on crypto?

https://www.ccn.com/google-bans-cryptocurrency-ads-will-lead-downfall/

Wishful thinking? or does it have some validity?

If its the downfall of ICOs, of course it will affect greatly on the response to ICOs. I have known about several ICOs not by visiting the forum alone but from apps downloaded from Google, websites visited where ads are placed and when you see these ads in all places, you are forced to even take the risk to check it out. You can then decide whether you want to be part of it or not. But with this new scenario, the chance or opportunity to check it out is being eroded.

On the impact on Google, I don't see much as we don't have access to their records to be sure the amount that ICOs ads is contributing to their total revenue and the impact it will take with this their decision to stop ICO ads. Hopefully, sanity can return to the market and they can start reconsidering all of their decisions against crypto in general.

327  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Unemployment and the Solution on: March 14, 2018, 11:04:59 AM
Unemployment is not a small issue, because the impact is huge for a country. Therefore, it is necessary to think of appropriate ways to solve this social problem.
If you are a leader in a country, what solution would you do to solve this problem?Huh
Unemployment is really a serious bane in the society and the moment that is not tackle where the country does not have jobs for its teeming population, then the country is at the brink of collapse if not from outside, from inside. As a leader of a country if I happen to get there, then there is real serious choice to be made because one major decision will affect the other side. You want to industrialise the railway industry to make it faster and safer has the potential of making road transportation and air transportation less attractive.

What I will do is rather than creating a job directly in the establishment of industry or employing them on the government payroll, I would rather create an environment that aids personal initiative which will allow the teeming youth to have to create their own wealth on their own, reduction in tax, enablement of access to credit facility, subsidized mentoring platforms etc. These and many others will go a long way to reduce unemployment.
328  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: KYC requirement from ICOs will open up a whole news area of scam on: March 06, 2018, 08:12:51 PM
I can say aside the exchange site that I see the need to have a KYC policy in place other are just making life difficult and more of repitition of functions. Every investors in ICOs wants to buy when its worth is low then sell when its high but that is not possible without exchange sites which means when the exchange sites insists on KYC there is no reason why any other body and not iCOs to say the least requesting for KYC. It defeat the entire purpose of anonymity.
329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins came in Big Bang Theory. on: March 06, 2018, 07:24:43 PM
Big Bang theory is a world wide watched show and needs no introduction, a while back they featured a show in which they talked about bitcoins, not only did they explain it, they even played real life scenarios of so many people who mined early on but forgot or lost them.

We often speak about getting this on television, theatres and boys and girls we have made the big jump, as and when people will see bitcoins shall get more and more publicity.

What do you'll think will this show help bitcoins grow? My view yes I'm bullish on this.
I am currently watching the show and I have not gotten to that episode yet and would want to see it which I hope it would be potryed in a good light compared to the shows I have seen talked about bitcoin. The last one I watched was the last parr of Major Crimes and bitcoin was mentioned and what it purported to make happen was out of it and made me feel sad about it make the rating I had for the show really dropped.
330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lots of recycled threads on: March 06, 2018, 04:59:51 PM
Your suggestions are something that is being known already but people choose to ignore it and blaming the newbies will not be right because what you don't know, you don't know. While I was a newbie, I had created one thread after I read several they I didn't undertsnad but now, I know better that going though google and putting bitcoin talk at the end of the request will get me what I need. While its permissible for newbies, its should be frown at by higher rank members.
331  Economy / Economics / Re: Biggest Electronics shop in Czech republic accepts now more cryptocurrencies. on: March 06, 2018, 11:59:32 AM
Hello Everyone!

This will not be a world news. This will not be giant game changer. This will, however be a topic close to me as I am from the Czech republic.

For those who are totally unaware, Czech republic is a small country in the middle of Europe (sometimes called the heart of Europe). But we are one of the biggest BTC miners per head!

Even with all those recent news, Czech republic stays strong in the crypto markets, believing in the blockchain. This can be easily shown by our biggest e-shop with electronic. They started to accept BTC as a mean of payment last year and it has easily become one of the most popular payment options, especially for PC components (mostly for more mining).

The most recent news is, that the e-shop will accept LTC and DASH next! Those are awesome news! Why? It shows, that even in the bloody times for the crypto markets, the crpyto currencies are still used even in the mainstream shops somewhere around the world. Even if we are just a small country, we slowly, but steadily accept crypto in our everyday lifes.

Just wanted to share this bit of information with you guys, hope someone would fin it interesting! Smiley

Source of the information in Czech can be found here (google translate might do well with this article):
https://www.novinky.cz/internet-a-pc/462495-platba-bitcoiny-je-popularni-alza-zavadi-dalsi-virtualni-meny.html

This real good news for the people of Czech Republic and because the shop is the largest electronic shop makes it a force to reckon with in that part of the world. It really might not be a game changer as you have rightly said but its also not reducing the influence of the game because that is what is needed to have a spiral effect all over the globe and you never can tell how the tentacles can spread as fast as possible. However, the most important is the attitude of government towards crypto over there for a major site to come out openly for crypto without having issues with authorities because over here, that is one thing you are scared of.
332  Economy / Economics / Re: Armed robbers have raided the house of a British virtual currency trader on: March 06, 2018, 08:38:25 AM
I believe this guy's identity might have been leaked thru exchanges databases or other platforms that needs KYC. If not, only his close relatives, friends would have known his involvements in the cryptocurrency space. Either of this two might be the cause.
Either through exchange, or probably made some mistake declaring how wealthy he is in virtual currency. Some do that a lot which makes them an easy target. However, no one is safe; we just always have to be extra careful. We cannot trust a single person and it is usually best to keep somethings to you than announcing to the whole world. Like you said, even your closest friend or your family may be your enemy.

For someone who is that rich would not be stupid enough to announce his wealth just like that but some people are that foolish though to the extent of disclosing where they leave and put their entire family in danger that they didn't bargain for. But I think there is a lesson here that where you have majority of your fund, it should be kept in a further safe place maybe a bank, document management firm and the likes. For merely keeping it on your phone or paper on the shelf makes it vulnerable.
333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is taken first before ETH? on: March 06, 2018, 06:06:09 AM
Eth is more trustable and easy to transact but still why bitcoin is on first choice
Here we go again about this needless argument about ETH and BTC. They are both wonderful development which I am sure both developers will appreciate the ingenuity of each others if given the opportunity to express such but the problem are those that eventually key into the dream and wants to believe one should be ahead of the other and why. In your case, based on trust which is the reason you are choosing ETH above, its not binding on the community to do same and in determining the top one, its the majority that will have their way.
334  Economy / Services / Re: Container Shipping & Blockchain | Reddit Fireside Chat Tonight — TEU token on: March 06, 2018, 06:01:08 AM
I don't see how this is relating to services rather its an announcement of an event that is to take place at the time. Reading through the content then I realize that you sounded contradictory you were so full of praises for this token and the creator or developer and the last paragraph was about a disclaimer which was complete opposite of what is there. I think I get that you want to be on a safe side in case things didn't go as planned but when it comes to issues of trust by default you cannot take it back in this level of your involvement.
335  Economy / Reputation / Re: What if bounty Manager very arrogant? on: March 05, 2018, 10:18:03 PM
Its actually not right for managers to be rude but they are also human beings who have feelings and the moment you deal with large number of people as we have it in bounty campaigns and when you deal with people with several needs and complaints the rule is always the rule. If the manager didn't include it in the rule about the procedures to rank up, he might be concerned with the stress of having to update for everyone who ranks up and this is another stressful effort on his part since everyone won't be ranking at the same time.
336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Odds On Any Sport! on: March 05, 2018, 09:41:52 PM
I will provide better odds than any crypto betting site!

Bet with me direct! Winnings paid to you immediately.

I am looking to build a good rep on here - would be grateful if a few of you guys can try me out with some very small bets.

Thanks

Bet with you directly? Winnings paid immediately? For that to happen, it means people will have to send their funds to you to bet on their behalf then when you win, they are expecting that you pay them. How on earth do you even expect someone to do that? Even betting sites that its even practically possible, it takes a whole lot of trust and proof to do that talkless of an individual who has not proven himself to be worthy of such.
337  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Qualitty cigarettes at cheap Price. Worldwide shipping on: March 05, 2018, 09:13:57 PM
I am selling cheap cigarettes of major brands like:
 - Marlboro
 - Camel
 - Sobranie
 - Lucky Strike and many more.

Selling only by cartons. PM or write here if you like to know more!

I really don't understand the amount of cartons that I will have to ship in at once in other to minimize the cost of buying locally because by the time we consider the cost and the shipping itself and other tax considering the fact that regulation is tight around ciggarrete the the cost is off the roof. Aside that, I will have to wait for several days if not weeks in other to get to consume cigarette? I think I will pass on this.
338  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bulls push BTC back above $12K in the next few hours? on: March 05, 2018, 08:34:04 PM
Well, there haven't been any relevant news about bitcoin or cryptocurrencies lately so on that side nothing is driving the price. We did break the huge downtrend from 17th of december of 2017.

It has been trying for the past few days to break the 11.7k resistance level, if it does it could go up to 13k since there isn't much resistance between 11.7k and 13k.

There have been news every time just that the news are not big enough to make the necessary push and influence price as we all wanted it to be and that is why it seems that there are no relevant news. News on its own is not responsible for the increase in price rather its the reaction to the news. There is a news sometimes last week about Poloniex acquisition that's a big news bevause of the amount that came in which was rumored to be $400 million but because the market absorbed it, it fails to influence price.
339  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Miners vs Traders on: March 05, 2018, 07:36:46 PM
Do bitcoin Miners  Profit more than traders .What do you all think?

and also Out of both who can make income out of bitcoin?   Smiley

Depending on the amount you are willing to invest, I would still go mining if we are focusing on just bitcoin alone. The cost of mining one bitcoin remain the remain in terms of electricity and equipment but for difficulty experienced, the extra cost would then be marginal but for trading who is into buying and selling the difference between the amount purchased and sold which would be the gross profit cannot in any way match up with that of mining to selling price of course with the exception of those who hold long-term.
340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if bitcoin crashes? on: March 05, 2018, 01:47:49 PM
If it does happen even though the possibility of crash is something we are quite familiar with but falling down to zero is another ball game that would change the way things is being done. Of course the effect will be massive with a lot of people losing their money and investment but its a zero sum game because for someone losing, it means someone else is winning which would reduce the effect to a large extent. Lets just say half of the population will lose while the other half will win but the noise of those who lost will be the loudest.
