1321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I think Bitcoin will never be Mainstream like Visa,Mastercard, Paypal unless on: March 30, 2017, 08:14:30 PM
Even with the checklists you have there, if possible that bitcoin completes that, I still dont see it getting to the point of $1 million  because acceptance as a means of payment does not make the price increase as much as that, what I see is an amount of appreciation. Also, it is not also necessary for you to understand the technology behind it for it to increase after all not everyone understand the basis of Fiat as some even believes its from spirit...
1322  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Send Bitcoins Without Fees [No Miner Fees] on: March 30, 2017, 07:25:37 PM
Transactions from your Xapo wallet to a btc address outside Xapo will be charged a fee of 0.0003375 (more or less like coinbase) and zero if it is about internal transactions between Xapo accounts. As well, transactions Incoming to your wallet equal to 0.00040095 or less are charged with a fee of BTC 0.0002673 and it is automatically deducted from the respective transaction.
So it is the same, we have to pay the fees.... I heard too about casino sites, but i don't see me, sign up in those sites to have a wallet, it's ridiculous

With this your analysis its obvious there is no way we can avoid the fees the best is for us to find a way to reduce it to the barest minimum. Even an exchange site that I use with a free transaction all of a sudden start charging a fixed fee if .0002btc but I still think block chain is the best as it apportion the fee according to the transaction intended to carry out...
1323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When I talk to NON-BitcoinTalkers they don't know.. on: March 30, 2017, 05:43:19 PM
All this panic and vitriol really isn't necessary..

BU vs CORE, big blocks vs SegWit blah blah blah.. .. ALL the people who live outside of the little bubble most of us live in, here, have NEVER heard of any of this.

lol.. they sort of look at me blankly and say : Whhhaattt ? .. er..  So there are 2 Bitcoins ?

I then say - no, not yet...

And then we start talking about something else.

They HAVE heard of Bitcoin though. (And they haven't heard of any other coins I might add.. too much information for them)

..

Honestly - I think we get a bit toooo wrapped up in it. Stroking our 'precious' Bitcoin..

We need to get out more. 'BitBoy' will still be here when we get back.

..

..I'm off to the park.

(ps. Just sent some mBTC.. they received it instantly on their phone (as always - just not confirmed).. an hour later I had 3 confirms.. Mempool down to 2MB.. meh.. all systems seem to be back to normal.. really not sure what all the fuss is about.. hehe)

Its not only your friends that are ignorant even majority of people here are only farer than your friend only by little knowledge of basic use of bitcoin. When it comes to any technicality that surrounds bitcoin, we become lost along the line. People like that and myself inclusive will always avoid discussion when it gets to that level...
1324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: impact of bitcoin on your daily life/business? on: March 30, 2017, 05:07:09 PM
Bitcoin without being economical with the truth has greatly helped me and most importantly gave me reasons to learn about new things on the forum on a daily basis ranging from politics around the world to economic issues in another country in addition to that, I have been able to earn quite a decent amount even on the forum by participating in signature campaigns and contributed in my little way in developing the community.
1325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan to accept Bitcoin as payment method. on: March 30, 2017, 04:49:08 PM
the first japan bill containing virtual currencies is expected to come on april which recognizes bitcoin as a method of payment.Although,it doesnot define bitcoin as a legal currency,it is still considered as a remarkable progress for bitcoin in japan.Hope, most of tourists who would go to japan to see 2020 olympics would be able to pay in bitcoins.

I will really appreciate the link to the source of the story then I can make my comment more deductively however with the assumption that its legit then its good news all the way as we have another news coming from that end ans thos predicting the end of bitcoin every now and then have been put to shame one more time...
1326  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: What does cryptocurrency money laundering means??? on: March 29, 2017, 09:04:45 PM
ok so if u didnt steel money... just invested it in bitcoin then traded for exmaple: monero or dash and sold it for a lot more is not considered money laundry? am i correct?

It will only be considered money laundering to the best of my knowledge if you are trying avoid paying the necessary dues to government. There is a laws that says you can't carry more than $10000 or even transfer more than that at with the exception that when you do, you must be ready to explain where it came from all else it will be regarded as money laundering so its all about disclosure and what the law says...
1327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It is not worth it, right? on: March 29, 2017, 07:21:45 PM
Many people here are asking "How gambling can benefits us by winning" on it using strategy like Martingale, or pure luck when we are playing DICE?
But I'm just wondering when do people will realize that gambling can never be the one that could benefits us, because the truth is, we could lose the thing that we can't lose to afford before we could be benefited by gambling.

Thats the thinking of people who are not ready to take the risk of gambling and they dont even have any reason to be in gambling in the first place. Quite a number of people are still making some amount of money from gambling because without that no one will still be playing and the gambling sites we have even on the forum, would have closed up business...
1328  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Binary Options The Same as Trade? on: March 29, 2017, 06:53:13 PM
Since  have tried the two all I can say is that they are only similar but not the same. Similar in the sense that both involves some level of risk although it differs but the difference part is the fact that in the case of binary, you just have to predict whether there will be increase in the price or fall after a particular time, you then win or lose but no the case in trading because you have some level of control over your investment compared to the latter...
1329  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Donald Trump Independent ? on: March 29, 2017, 12:07:06 PM
When it comes to independence of the president, I make bold to say, it does not exist any where in the world because if Trump had been independent, then the travel ban in the first few weeks of his administration would have passed without any reprisal but because he is answerable to others who are even more powerful than him, he had to go back to the drawing board. Any politician campaigning on his own independence is just a clown deceiving the electorates...
1330  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Vote Now: Who Should Be on the 2017 TIME 100? on: March 29, 2017, 11:12:20 AM
I will prefer not vote because my believe about voting in things like this is that the voting is just to get an opinion about how popular a candidate is and they already know who is going to win. In addition to that, all names on that list, none has influence me directly to be worthy of my vote for whatever reason that they think they deserve it.
1331  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is taxation theft? on: March 29, 2017, 10:54:05 AM
I dont see Tax as stealing because I try to look at it if its backed by law as we have most taxes in sane society because government that we have put to run our affairs wont do it from their personal pockets its going to be from our collective contribution which tax is also included but where I will have issues is from the position of paying of unnecessary dues all in the name of taxes, then that is pure theft even though I cannot prove that and majority of governments are guilty of this even in advanced world...
1332  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Please help me understand the no border ideology on: March 29, 2017, 10:03:58 AM
Any global ideology that relates to politics from my own point of view will not work. Other areas might work such as security or finance or accounts but  not politics because how do we even start from the majority of Whites that are racist not even considering the people from the Islamic countries, not even countries that are against the West with everything within them among other factors that will negate such movement.
1333  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Negative effects of technology on: March 29, 2017, 09:51:03 AM
Although there is nothing that have positive that does not have its own negative counterpart and technology is also not an exception even though its positive is something we cannot do without the negative side I see to it, is nothing other than the over dependency we have on it. Its so annoying that people have stopped using their common sense and replaced it with technology any small question sent to a colleague no reason to think as that is a waste of time, the next is Google and I begin to wonder that what will happen if there is no Google to ask...
1334  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Value pegged to Altcoin Value? What do you think? on: March 28, 2017, 07:59:45 PM
Hey guys,

was wondering. the price of altcoins is pegged to bitcoin. When value of bitcoin is going down, altcoin value goes down too. How do you make a profit now?
Unless you buy the cheap bitcoins now and change it to altcoins.

Some suggestions. Thanks!

The price of bitcoin and altcoin from the way I see it, are inversely related because to even make profit from altcoin trading, the traders prefer that the price of bitcoin falls so the basis of your argument from the ay I see it is wrong but at the same time it is not only the price of bitcoin that determines the price of altcoin as other factors such as pump and dump also account for sizeable reasons why prices rises and falls.
1335  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Canadians: Who do you use to ship worldwide? on: March 28, 2017, 07:33:16 PM
With the kind of service you are offering and what you are expecting, I tell you there is no where you will get it cheap since you are still practicing on a small scale. What I will suggest is to find a way to reduce the cost or share the cost with the buyer. In reducing the cost, you can try and get to ship commodities to just a country or find a trusted distributor where most of your sales is coming from then you dispatch at once that will reduce the cost to a large extent...
1336  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CHBTC.COM HALTS WITHDRAWALS –BEWARE DON'T DEPOSIT– on: March 28, 2017, 07:18:21 PM
Thank you for the heads up regarding this but it seems that you are the only one who is using the site for trading because even me, I have not heard about this site before and just reading it now. I hope you are able to withdraw your fund from the site and as also a note of warning to always patronise only sites that have proven themselves worthy over the years.
1337  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Opportunity is here?? on: March 28, 2017, 07:09:09 PM
As we all are aware that the price of bitcoin is drastically going down so can we called this a trading opportunity.
What i was thinking is all the people who are currently holding bitcoin can convert it to any alt like maybe monero and let the price of bitcoin go more down and then buy when yiu think the price won't grow more.

Disclaimer:
I would recommend only for those people to do who will get some sort of profit by selling their bitcoin if you purchased at a higher then i would recommend you to refrain from doing this.

Unfortunately, the price has been on the increase once again as we now experience another gradual picking of prices. Bitcoin has grown to a point in my opinion where anybody who wants to make profit in bitcoin will see opportunity in every situations and wont wait until when someone announces on the thread that the this is the right time to buy. Its a function of risk and for those who are ready to take such risk.
1338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How today was my last btc transaction. on: March 27, 2017, 08:12:05 PM
Any other people feeling the same like me who are tired of these slow confirmation like today?

Pay a better transaction fee, get faster confirmation. Problem solved.

Lol... The solution couldn't have come any faster than what you have given. Its just so simple if you say you want to leave bitcoin because of this issue you have raised, I bet you are still coming back because when you consider the revenue you will be losing if you had stayed, that will be the driving force back into the game and other advantages it has offered that will even overshadowed the cost which is the transaction fee ypou have quoted here...
1339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the worst case if we have more than one bitcoin on: March 27, 2017, 07:53:54 PM
I am not a techcie as I dont even understand what the controversy is all about no matter how hard I try to but from my elementary knowledge from the way I see it, any other bitcoin will be like the case of ETH and ETC in which we all know the answer to that and even people coming in new that have been able to be exposed to ETH might even not know the existence of ETC...
1340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Go to Land Based Casinos? on: March 27, 2017, 07:02:00 PM
With all the number of years I have been exposed to gambling, I have never found any reason to visit land casinos and the reason is because over here, they are not much as we have in Las Vegas and the few ones available can only be found in expensive hotels in a highly highbrow environment of the city and even the cost to play in such is not cheap as only rich people attend to make a run for their monies...
