3201  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bittrex & Coinbase: I need to change phone, how do I move Google Authenticator? on: January 20, 2018, 07:57:27 PM
I need to buy a better phone but have google authenticator on the old one. I use GA to access coinbase and bittrex.
Should I transfer GA before I get rid of the old phone? If so, how do I do this transfer?
BTW I really hate having to use GA because of such doubts, is there an alternative way to access bittrex and coinbase?

The only way to backup your 2fa code/s is to save their corresponding recovery/secret code or Qr code which can be seen when you first activated your 2fa.
These backup's can be used to import your 2fa code/s into another device or another auth app (Each 2fa code has a corresponding backup code)

Now if you don't have it, it'll be a case by case basis since each site has a different ways of handling this kind of problems.

For instance in coinbase, Since you can still access to your 2fa, you should be able to login without any problems and follow the steps below

Quote
Problem
I want to move my 2FA codes to a new device and still have the old device

Solution
Log in to Coinbase using your username/password and a 2FA code from your old device

Go to your Security Settings page: https://www.coinbase.com/settings/security_settings
Regenerate your secret key

Note: Regenerating your secret key will invalidate your old device tokens. Write down the new secret seed and keep it in a safe place (we recommend storing it offline on a piece of paper, USB key, or other medium you can keep secret and safe.

Scan the new secret with your new Authenticator device

As for bittrex, Refer to this: https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000198612-Troubleshooting-Two-Factor-Authentication-2FA-
3202  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase verification is so slow on: January 20, 2018, 04:07:44 PM
It's actually been over a month and they still haven't fixed this problem. See it here: https://status.coinbase.com/incidents/9ln67q05v3s5. If an incident has been resolved, It will be stated but it's not which means they still haven't fixed it. Here is an example of a resolved problem: https://status.coinbase.com/incidents/bg5tgnb05l7x

This confirms it at the current status page

Code: (https://status.coinbase.com)
ID verification --  Degraded Performance

And yes, you shouldn't send another ticket as this can further delay their response

Please submit only one ticket for your issue. Creating multiple submissions for the same issue will result in an additional delay.
3203  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Cryobit a scam? on: January 20, 2018, 01:51:53 PM
A quick update here... I finally receive my order (and it's really one of the most beautiful metal card I've seen). So it's apparently not a scam but delays are damn fucking long (ordered on the 30th of November 2017 - received the order on the 18th of Jan. 2018). and their customer is non existent (I've sent two mails - no answer). But they delivered so... not a scam Wink

Do you know when did they shipped your parcel? Like some email will be sent to you informing that "your order/s has been shipped" because it might be possible that the problem lies in their shipping carrier/courier since everytime a holiday occurs (in your case christmas) lots of people are sending parcels either from an online shop or from family/friends which can cause delayed deliveries etc.. I actually had some orders last year that either didn't arrive (lost) or arrived very late  Cry
3204  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Lykke lock my account after the deposit on: January 20, 2018, 11:09:53 AM
Just like many other cryptocurrency involved services, Lykke is also under of high traffic. According to their blog post, Their userbase increased by 40% this December so it's also possible that it's still counting [Quoting the 40% below].

Along with 40% growth of Lykke user base in December, scalability challenges have arisen

Furthermore by reading the same article, It seems like they recently switched to semi decentralized to centralized which indicates that more users will be verifying their accounts.
In short, It can take a while.

For your ease of mind, You can send a PM to their staff here (He's pretty active +1) : mtnsaa
3205  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: BitcoinTrain micro cloud mining on: January 20, 2018, 08:38:51 AM
Even the regular cloud mining contracts aren't producing enough profits anymore so how is this micro contracts any different? I'm guessing the payouts will be lower lol.

EDIT: Oh forget it, I visited the site and it is promising unsustainable profits which is a big red flag furthermore it's an anonymous and newly registered site.
Try doing a simple whois: https://www.whois.com/whois/bitcointrain.club

Definitely another ponzi scheme to stay away from

3206  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Freewallet.org is a SCAM on: January 20, 2018, 07:33:15 AM
If I'm not wrong I think freewallet is a hosted one? And most hosted wallets store their users funds in a cold storage (at least it's what most of them claims) which is why when a user deposited X amount of funds, it'll be transferred to B address which they also own. In this case, It's for security reasons but there can be other reasons too such as organizing funds etc...

Anyways, Have you tried coordinating with their support team about this? You can try sending a PM to their staff here: Freewallet
3207  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: *FUNNY* Blockchain.info - 32 days Unconfirmed tx on: January 20, 2018, 07:23:29 AM
Thanks Potato Chips! I'd like to know how you got ViaBTC to work, I couldn't.

Since I just used those rebroadcasting links, I don't know if it was you or me that did it... either way, my transaction finally went through. =)

Rebroadcasting is different from accelerating as it is just reminding the miners not to forget your transaction so it won't get dropped in their mempool, it doesn't necessarily mean that your transaction will be included in the next block. I say It's useful with stuck transactions that has a decent/high miner fee.

Then again since it's been stucked for 32 days, some nodes may have dropped it so It probably played a part either way. Go to any block explorer to view your transaction and tap the block 505065 and you'll see that it was relayed by Viabtc.

The trick is you have to use a good timer (I'm using this one: https://time.is/UTC) and and when XX:59:59 comes, click the tab where viabtc is and tap the submit button.
So yeah you have to fill in the captcha beforehand but then if you fill it in too early the token might expire.
3208  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: *FUNNY* Blockchain.info - 22 days Unconfirmed tx on: January 19, 2018, 10:09:45 PM
Thanks, haven't tried this yet... but just did. It's been 32 days now. Let's see what happens!

Lol. I thought you had completely given up on this transaction (waiting for it to be dropped) which is why I didn't bother entering it on viabtc  Cheesy

So yeah. I just added your transaction in their queue, expect a confirmation within a few hours.

3209  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Are Exchanges becoming too unstable ? on: January 19, 2018, 09:56:45 PM
Yeah most exchanges today have been experiencing several significant problems such as overloaded servers, incompetent or small number of staffs (at least with their support), regulation's (KYC,AML) etc...

It just proves that they can't handle the increasing number of users and I'm expecting it'll be getting worse as bitcoin's price increases and gain attention not just from an ordinary joe but also from legal authorities  Cheesy
3210  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Error - Can`t send anything out of BlockChain wallet on: January 19, 2018, 09:02:33 PM
...your seed, Click options and tick the BIP39 Seed Box

I have actually tried to help someone with the exact same issue and no seeding might not work because these are different wallets from different times. The only way to import would be to export a private key from your main wallet and store it somewhere safe, which many novice users back then, did not know how to do.

Not sure on what you meant but OP didn't mention that his wallet was created long time ago before blockchain.info begun using HD wallet so I assumed that he should have the 12 word seed phrase.

Furthermore, blockchain.info's seed is made using BIP39 so you should be able to import it with a wallet that supports BIP39 like electrum in most cases. I already tried this actually.

This sounds like backing up rather than importing
3211  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance 2FA reset on: January 19, 2018, 06:59:11 PM
I have learned my lessons for sure, am starting the process, luckily only had 100 in there, but I am wondering can I open up another account on binance as I wait for it to get reset as I don't want to wait a month to trade, thanks for responding

I'm not really sure about this so if you want to get a clear answer on this, Send a support ticket  Wink

So anyways, I saw a user on reddit where he asked binance if it's okay to create another account for one of his family member since they will be using the same IP.

Binance then replied with a "No Problem" and denotes "multiple accounts". Quoting it below:

No there should be no problems opening multiple accounts.

With kinds regards. With kind regards, The Binance support team.

So you should be fine as long as you will use a different email address and with a non-verified account.
3212  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Looking for a portfolio to use in PC and mobile on: January 19, 2018, 06:26:12 PM
I'll be seconding cointracker but to be able to use it's full features, you need to upgrade your account which is not free. So If you're gonna go with it, I suggest to try the free version first for a few weeks and see if you like it or not since it'll depend on your needs.

Here's an article that lists a few portfolio trackers: https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@pedrombraz/the-best-way-to-track-your-crypto-portfolio
3213  Economy / Exchanges / Re: lost bitcoin. 50$ reward for any help on: January 19, 2018, 04:02:44 PM
hey were you able to resolve this issue with coinbase? i am in similiar situation Sad. sent usdt to bitcoin address on coinbase.

As mentioned by OP, Coinbase doesn't deal with usdt so you have a very slim chance of getting your coins back. Not to mention, they can't even retrieve mistakenly sent coins which they support (BTC, BCH)  Roll Eyes although they have said that they are working on it: https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/7ntt4t/bch_accidentally_sent_to_btc_address_will_be

Either way it's still recommended to contact their support to get a clear gist of things.
3214  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Has anyone successfully used the Blockchain.info wallet exchange function? on: January 19, 2018, 02:22:53 PM
Hi there, thanks very much for the reply - much appreciated.

I checked Etherscan and it confirms that nothing has left the wallet. Blockchain.io have not provided the actual transaction hash as far as I am aware, only an order number for ShapeShift...

I can put in a ticket over there if that is the best thing to do? (Sorry if I am being ignorant, your help is appreciated!)

Oh! So you mean the funds weren't even sent to shapeshift? From what I know, Once you confirm your order, the funds will automatically be deducted and be sent to shapeshift *should look like this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2783163.msg28454968#msg28454968

If that's the case, the problem is on blockchain.info's end and unfortunately, they're the only ones who can solve this.

Blockchain.info has proven itself to be a buggy wallet and explorer so it'll be better to just ditch it lol.

Anyways, This is not a solution but you should be able to access your funds again after you imported it to a different wallet e.g. eth --> Eth wallet

1). Export your private keys
2). Import your private keys to any eth wallet (https://coincentral.com/best-ethereum-wallet-reviews)
3. Use shapeshift directly to convert eth to btc (https://shapeshift.io/#/coins)
3215  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Has anyone successfully used the Blockchain.info wallet exchange function? on: January 19, 2018, 11:05:24 AM
Your deposit should be deemed valid first before the exchanging begins. In your case since it's still at the "sending funds stage", I'm guessing your deposit transaction is still unconfirmed so you need to wait until it confirms first.

Can you post the actual transaction hash of your deposit here? since it's been reported that blockchain.info may show it as unconfirmed but is actually confirmed if you check it with the other explorers

In case the trade fails, It's recommended to contact shapeshift directly instead of blockchain.info as many other users who had a similar problem says that their support isn't responding at all.
3216  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Is this normal? on: January 19, 2018, 08:37:05 AM
Yes they'd recognized that there is an incoming transaction to your deposit address but for it to be considered valid, it should have a certain number of confirmations. According to shapeshift's site, Large transactions require at least 1 confirmation and from your picture, yours is unconfirmed = 0 confirmation

Transaction's confirmation time varies on it's included fee, for instance if you have included a high miner fee = faster confirmation time.

Can you post the actual Transaction hash?
3217  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance 2FA reset on: January 19, 2018, 07:57:22 AM
Did you ever get this resolved, I am in the same situation and getting ready to start the process, seeing allt eh comments does not make me happy

Well you don't really have a choice do you?

Unless you have backed-up your secret/recovery codes of your 2fa (assuming you're also using google auth), The only way to gain an access to your account again is to submit a number of stated documents they ask. Now if you don't do that, consider your coins donated. You should start as soon as possible since it'll be on first come, first serve basis.

3218  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Why is it doing this? on: January 18, 2018, 09:36:15 AM
I just exchanged some BTC for ETH and when I log into my blockchain account sometimes it doesn't show my ETH it says I have 0 ETH but should have 0.33 and when I refresh it a few times my ETH appears and then if I refresh again they disappear whats that all about?

Try to paste your address in any ethereum block explorer such as: https://etherscan.io l https://ethplorer.io as it is a good reference of what state your wallet is really in (how much coins, unconfirmed/confirmed transactions etc..)

Now if your wallet doesn't match what's stated there, Try to clear your browser's cache and cookies or try logging in to a different browser or device.

And since this talks about blockchain.info, This should be on Web Wallets board. There is a "move topic" option in your bottom left which should help you.
3219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Help: My transfer not listed on blockchain.info on: January 18, 2018, 08:51:51 AM
I haven't heard of this beetle wallet/exchange but it seems like it is made by finom themselves so you can alternatively contact them.

Beetle is the first product of Finom blockchain corporation

Here is a user who is affliated with them, Try sending him a PM: finom.io
They also have their telegram: https://t.me/finom_community

Is Beetle.io is a scam or my situation is normal? What could I do now?

I haven't dug much yet but just by reading their reviews in google play, it doesn't give that vibe https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tabtrader.beetle&utm_source=finom
3220  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: To contact Xapo Support, please use our FAQs (https://support.xapo.com/) on: January 18, 2018, 07:28:02 AM
Come on!!

Of course i wrote them emails! not one mail, mails.

They said they will be back in 24 hours, but no feedback...

You can also try to follow it up on their social media's below:

https://www.facebook.com/xapoapp
https://twitter.com/xapo

Unfortunately, Only xapo can solve this and there is nothing left to do except to enter the big waiting game because as mentioned above, xapo is known for their closeness with turtles and horrible service.

I would like to say that this could be because of high traffic that most bitcoin services are receiving as the recent price hike attracted several users but NO, since this kind of problem/s existed even before.

And obviously, You're not the only one who's experiencing this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Xapo/
