3241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: payments not confirm in blockchain on: November 21, 2017, 04:04:32 PM
The included fee in your transactions is not enough for their size. Some of them has a lot of inputs resulting in a big transaction size. Fees will really hurt this way.

For now you can use the following transaction accelerators:
--Snip--

Antpool [An account is needed - Free registration]
Viabtc [Your transaction should have a minimum of  0.0001BTC/KB (10 sat/byte) included fee]
Confirmtx [Only transactions under 400bytes are free]

*I've entered all your TXID's in Antpool so it should be confirmed within a few hours but you can still enter them to the other accelerators to increase your chances (Enter it on viabtc at 00:00 forum time)

EDIT: It seems like transaction 2-5 has an unconfirmed parent, it just means coins are spent from an unconfirmed output so they will be confirmed next after their parent does. And if you're going to use viabtc. Enter it in order 1-2-3-4-5

Hi,

Thanks for your help I can see the first one got confirm now but others I try many time to put them in transaction accelerators but they not accept because they not explore to others explore only in blockchain can you help me to put them in other explore :

Thanks

It seems like rebroadcasting your transaction did the trick. Your transactions can't be found on any block explorer except blockchain.info., most nodes may have dropped it as I've found they we're seated unconfirmed for too long. Viabtc now accepts your transaction but fees are not that low so someone other than antpool/viabtc might pick it up just like your other transactions.

EDIT: 1,2,3 are now inluded in a block. TXID 4 has also been accelerated on viabtc. I've rebroadcasted all transactions including 5, I'll enter it on viabtc once #4 confirms
EDIT: Antpool picked up 4 and 5. Congrats its all done now  Cheesy

3243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Claim Bitcoin Gold from Seed or Private Key on: November 21, 2017, 01:29:31 PM
Right now, is there any way to access your BTG from your private key/seed from BTC?

If you have BTC on your seed you must move it to another address (owned by another private address). Then you can import private key in bitcoin gold wallet and you will have access to it. BUT FIRST move your BTC !

I know that mate, but I don't know which wallet supports the private key/seed importing to access BTG.

Which wallet are you using? Because first you have to get your private keys from that wallet. After that import it to any BTG client which can be found on their site here: https://bitcoingold.org or run a full node because most wallets listed there are for android/ios. You can also wait for the forked version of electrum for BTG, just like electron cash in BCH.

But if you're planning to do it now. Coinomi is what I recommend. Here is a tutorial that coinomi provided: https://coinomi.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/29000016909-i-didn-t-have-btc-in-coinomi-at-the-time-of-the-snapshot-how-do-i-claim-btg-

3245  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How to cash out in different wallets HELP on: November 21, 2017, 09:58:35 AM
You can't directly transfer Bitcoin to your Visa Card except you have a bitcoin card like xapo or advcash. Maybe yyou can try on Bitpanda to find an acceptable way to cashout Bitcoin. Or make paperwallet on bitaddress and cashout on Bitcoin ATM in vienna.
Yes I understand that I can not transfer directly Bitcoin to my Visa card. I need to sell BTC and then transfer the money in my card.
Hope to tell me which exchange you use.
And also which of the exchanges can transfer my money directly to my Visa card or Paypal.

In that case, you can use cex.io, After selling your bitcoins you can withdraw your fiat money and send it directly to your visa card. Withdrawals through payment cards are instant which is a good plus.

You can find more information here: https://cex.io/sell-bitcoins
As for the  fees, You can find it here: https://cex.io/fee-schedule#/tab/payments
3246  Economy / Exchanges / Re: bittrex steal my coins. need help on: November 21, 2017, 06:42:06 AM
What do you mean by they locked up your withdraw? You can't request a withdrawal even your account is basic/enhanced verified or something else?

Check their answer about slack invite channel here : https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002224092-How-do-I-get-invited-to-the-Bittrex-Slack-channel- . My account was enhanced verified but I wasn't invited yet to their slack. I guess they are not yet inviting members or they've invited already but not all.

All account tiers are now subjected to bittrex recent account disabling/freezing cases. I've seen cases where their enhanced account reverted to unverified which is why bittrex freeze their accounts and are asked to submit documents again. I'm not sure if op's case is also like this since the information he gave isn't enough.

do someone has slack invite to bittrex?
they locked up my withdraws
will pay 200$ for slack invite to bittrex channel
As jhenfelipe said, Even if you're enhanced, it doesn't guarantee your membership there. This confirms it:
As of this writing, the Bittrex team is still working on a mechanism for our enhance verified users to be invited to the Bittrex Slack channel.  Please check back later for further instructions.
But you can still try to get an invite from bittrex (If you're enhanced) and after that log in here: https://bittrex.slack.com.
I think only bittrex can give you an invite there and don't even try borrowing from someone that has an invite, No sane person will do that.
Just an add-on, I've heard if you're rude or don't follow their rules there, they will ban you.
3247  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinbase - Views Please on: November 21, 2017, 04:22:25 AM
I am looking at Wallet options for my mining project in 2018.

Reviewed the likes of doing it myself with the likes of Xapo, Electrum etc; but interested in Forum members opinions of Coinbase for Wallet/Exchange capability.

Anyone had any experience of using their services? Good, bad or indifferent?

Mining project? You mean you will be storing a huge amount of bitcoins right? If thats the case using a wallet where your funds are handled by a third party is not a wise move.
As LeGaulois already explained, Coinbase monitors your activity and if they find something suspicious that is against to their TOS they might freeze your account. And yes, their support is plain crap.

If you have funds to buy a hardware wallet then I recommend you to go for it, They're ideal for large amounts. Or if not Bitcoin core (Full Node) or elctrum (SPV/light weight) should be fine. But please note that you should know some fundamental things about your chosen wallet because in some cases, they won't protect your coins from your careless move/s e.g. when you accidentally installed some unknown application that has malwares/keyloggers etc.
3248  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Do bitcoin wallets work? It's safe? on: November 21, 2017, 02:12:51 AM
Imo A 100% safe wallet doesn't exist. Because even if you run a full node or bought a hardware wallet, if you're careless problems will definitely arise.
Yes you can increase your safety depending on which type of wallet you use but most of the time you're the one who will keep your wallet safe so be sure
to read a lot as your wallet won't protect your bitcoins if you're installing tons of unknown applications (Just an example)

I've found a tl;dr of wallet types:

--Snip--
That being said, my own view on the topic:

Safest:
  • hardware wallet: both reasonably cheap and easy to use
  • airgapped pc: expensive and a little bit harder to use (you always have to transfer unsigned/signed transactions between an online and offline machine)
  • Paper wallet: very cheap and very secure if generated in the correct way, but hard to use (you have to sweep and discard the paper wallet each time you use it, then transfer the remaining value to a new paper wallet)

Medium:
  • Desktop wallet: free, but you need a clean PC and you NEED to encrypt your wallet (using a strong passphrase). Virusscanners/firewall are a must have

Unsafe-ish:
  • Android/Ios wallets: I call these ones unsafe because it's harder to verify the wallet's signatures, many people know less about their phone's OS than they know about their desktop's OS, and phones can easily get stolen/lost

Unsafe:
  • Any wallet where you're not the (only) one in controll of your private keys. This includes exchanges and online wallets
3249  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Warning aceminers.com is a scam on: November 20, 2017, 04:02:24 PM
It seems like there's an increasing number of people who have been fallen victim to these mining hardware selling sites these days. And most probably this aceminers.com is one of those frauds. As usual, I can't find a single review about them using google even though they claim to be # 1, so trusting these unknown sites are purely gamble. The reviews on their site are probably made up just from seeing their As Seen On Section on the bottom which are just images, If it was true it should be clickable where it redirects you to some article.

--Snip--

This does make me wonder if bitcoin truest does have a future to go mainstream. If I made the same purchase mistake with my Visa, I would have my money back already.   Also for those surprised that this happens, think about your everyday life.  I make purchases all day every day.  I don’t have time to get every single vendor. I do mostly stick to common marketplaces, but when I do branch out I’m protected.   Unfortunately I’m realizing that bitcoin market has zero buyer protection.   I won’t say this has turned me off to bitcoin completely,  but the online buying process needs to evolve before I try this again.

The thing is bitcoin is different from those centralized payment systems so this changing of buying process you're talking about is not possible for bitcoin. Rather than changing it, shouldn't it be the users that has to change? and stop using these unknown shady sites
3250  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info 20 Sat on: November 20, 2017, 12:24:10 PM
Please don't trust any fee estimation that blockchain.info provides as it is too far from accurate. The amount your sending doesn't matter. What matters is the current network condition and the size of your transaction as these decides how much miner fee is sufficient. So If your transaction has too many inputs and/or if the network is busy, your fee will increase.

For fee estimations, You can use https://bitcoinfees.earn.com l https://btc.com/stats/unconfirmed-tx Please note that the recommended fee will always change as its proportional to the current network condition which is also changing.

Buy Yah. If you want to avoid paying high fees and you're not in a hurry. You can use the following transaction accelerators:

Antpool [An account is needed - Free registration]
Viabtc [Your transaction should have a minimum of  0.0001BTC/KB (10 sat/byte) included fee]
Confirmtx [Only transactions under 400bytes are free]

3252  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: If two transactions have the same fee, is their processing order random? on: November 19, 2017, 02:19:46 PM
If I've understood correctly, transaction's age does not affect any more its priority?
No, What decides a particular transaction's priority is its included fee as the miners prioritizes transactions with a higher fee. But please note that this fee depends on the transaction size and the network condition so for example if your transaction has a lot of inputs resulting in a bigger size, it will require more fee, the same also applies if the network is busy.

Here is a site that gives a fee estimation: https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/

So if two transactions have the same fee, which one is processed first?
If they have the same fee, The transaction which is less in size will most likely get confirmed first. But If they have the same size then luck will probably decide which will get confirmed first. A situation where both of them are never confirmed might also happen if the fees were insufficient for the size and/or for the current network condition.
3253  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptomining farm on: November 19, 2017, 12:16:57 PM
If it promises unsustainably high returns then its probably a fraud. I visited their site, They claim that there is no difficulty increase which is an enough reason to reach to a conclusion that they are not really mining. The other things they claim are these: If they were true its impossible for them to profit

Free 50 GHS (Lifetime)

 Investment Bonus

 No Difficulty Increase

 No Maintenance Fee

 15% Affiliate Bonus

Its much better to stay away from any cloud mining and find another way to earn e.g. trading, holding bitcoin etc.
3254  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is best bitcoin lending platform? on: November 19, 2017, 11:07:07 AM
I want to try it out. Anyone who can suggest a good one?
Thanks!!

I would definitely say on forum, the lending section.

With third party sites you really have no guarantees as a lender and a borrower. If you are a lender then the personal information that you hold really has no weight especially if the borrower is in another country altogether.

If you're a borrower, you have no control over the personal info you submit. They could easily do dodgy stuff with your info.

Plus, a lot of the time you are lending to someone who you've never heard of and doesn't have much of an identity, unlike the forums where they may have a history and reputation to keep, which safeguards you a little more.

Seconded, But whats really good in our lending section is the widely use of collaterals which shows the borrowers sincerity on paying as well as it secures the loaner's money. Although it'll be a different story if the loaner accepted a shit collateral e.g. collaterals which are not easy to sell, scam coins etc.

Meanwhile most lending platforms only requires personal details/ documents which can make the loaner at a disadvantage because these documents holds no value especially if its fake. A lot of lending platforms which works like this have already closed down.
3255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Etherdelta issues on: November 19, 2017, 08:03:32 AM
I've got some problems whilt I'm trying to use Etherdelta. When I open the website it is not loading anything (the only thing I get is the loading sign). I've made a smell research and seen that this is a popular issue. Some people say that it can be solved by using VPN or connecting thru TOR browser. I've tried both options and still got the same problem. Can anyone suggest anything else? Also what is the source of this issue?

I've read on their sub reddit that there was a brief down time a few hours ago but its solve now. Try clearing you cache and cookies before accessing the site again.
I've tried accessing their site and it works fine for me. If your problem still persists, You should contact them directly.
3256  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Possibilities in future and negatives on: November 19, 2017, 06:20:03 AM
We are witnessing now all these erc20 scams. I actually participated in a couple airdrops cause i thought well i join a couple for fun and actually gained some. But its not right to be part of a scam and make money out of thin air i figured.

I don't know about the other "airdrop" things thats spreading here but the true airdrop I know is when a certain coin forks just like what happened on bitcoin whereas users received BCH and BTG's from just owning bitcoins before the specified block

With that said, if crypto becomes massive. What stops people to make all kinds of shitcoins and see like 100.000 shitcoins on cmc if  not more.

Bitcoin is not that different from our money [cash; can hold physically] and just like it, even if the governments set tons of laws no one can stop someone if he wants to scam his people as we have our own will. In conclusion to that, No one can stop people from scamming one another but we can definitely prevent them from taking the fraudelent baits.

Another thing:

would it be likely we see all businesses have their own coin? Amazoncoin? Walmartcoin? (i use these  since these are internationally most known. Not an American..)

Most of them are not very fond of cryptocurrencies as of now but things can change in the next few years depending on what will happen so theres still chance.
3257  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex verification issues on: November 19, 2017, 04:50:50 AM
Its been almost a month which is too long. Have you read about the article bittrex published which is the verification troubleshooting. It states why some verification isn't processed and some tips to avoid that. Usually, If you followed the tips there it wouldn't take that long although we should also consider that bittrex is currently undergoing a lot of problems resulting in receiving lots of works to do which is why they can't accomodate all their users asap. I've been hearing that a lot of users gets ignored.
3258  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: HELP How long it’s the BTC gets on my wallet on: November 19, 2017, 02:40:54 AM
If your transaction has a lot of inputs, Your 100K+ sats fee might not be enough considering that the network is overloaded in the past few days although its stabilizing now.
You can try rebroadcasting your transaction by following these steps: http://neocashradio.com/blog/how-to-rebroadcast-a-transaction-on-blockchain-info/

or try entering your TXID in these transaction accelerator services. (I recommend you to do this first)

-Snip-

3259  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Sending Fee on: November 19, 2017, 12:14:46 AM
I heard bitcoin sending fees are very high now.  Is this true or not?  Back then it was either 0 if you don't put any fees or it was like 6 cents etc.  Then it got up to 25 cents and i recalled few times i last send it was 2 dollars or a bit more etc.
Miner fees depends on the size of a certain transaction as well as the current network condition so the total amount you're sending doesn't matter. It seems like you're talking about the days when fees are just voluntary, A lot things have change since then and that includes it. Thats a long time ago so compared then, it is indeed very high now.

Can someone tell me what are the fees?
This is supposed to compensate the miner for his work which is including your transation in a block and it is also the factor which determines your transaction's priority e.g. if you paid 0BTC for the fees, your transaction is at the lowest priority which might never confirmed.
3260  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Many Bittrex accounts were hacked on: November 18, 2017, 01:03:18 PM
Hi guys,

What doing in situation when bittrex account was hacked via email? Lot of peoples were hacked today, hacker attacked their mails first and then bittrex. F2A was enebled as well. In these cases there was not phishing webpage. Have Bittrex insurance for these cases or not?

Thank you for this info and warning - however, could you please post your source?

No source because its nothing new. Everyday a lot of accounts are getting hacked through people's carelessness. It must be some kind of phishing or an email where download links are inside which are full of malwares. In this case what people should do is to activate all security features available and don't be too careless, Do double check on things.
And lol. No company is too dumb to give an insurance on this because this problem is caused by the user furthermore users will probably just abuse it to gain money if ever it comes true.
